As we arrived early, Ikram made every effort to look after us and gave us a wonderful room overlooking the front, well before the 3pm check-in time. The outside lobby staff were also very good in getting us taxis promptly. If I go again, without any hesitation will book the same hotel.
- Puneet (4/5): - We had booked a 3 bedroom suite. They had overbooked and downgraded our room when we checked in. This was hugely inconvenient as we were travelling with 2 young kids and our elderly parents. They did nothing to accommodate and no price adjustments to my booking. We also arrived early and they wouldnt let us take our bags to their washroom to allow us to freshen up with our young kids. The laundry machine was also not working and our clothes got locked in the machine multiple times. It was a very unpleasant experience.

You had to cross two streets to get to another property that had water on it, this property has nothing to do with the Doubletree Hotel. The hotel and room had a moldy smell, and the furniture was very dirty and old.

Cleanliness was not an issue at all as they have a team constantly making sure this is kept to the best standard. A decent range of facilities are available on the lower floors such as their gym and indoor gym. The area facing the waterfront is really nice with short access to a mosque and some restaurants. However the area behind it isn’t as good. Their food is also really good, catering to different cuisines from around the world. They offer room service for the food which is really nice. Would recommend staying here if you want a more quiet stay away from the noise downtown, still being only a 20-40 minute taxi away from anywhere!

Either under my name or my mother's name We are regular guest since 2022 All the time our stay has been wonderful! However; this stay we have been quite disappointment. I called one day before asking if possible early check in since we are coming from abu dhabi wirh 2 small children the gentleman over the phone told me yes no problem at 1 pm that can be done complimentary. Once we arrived at 1 30 pm we waited for the room until 2 pm. The front office manager was not accommodating, giving me a lesson about the number of pax and denying any complimentary room upgrade since we are not gold or platinum Hilton member I told her we are platinum but from hotels.com account that's why we book under that account ans that always the front office staff have been wonderful giving us a comp upgrade. Anyways, it took half an hour to get the room. Then my kids love the cookies which is a signature amenity from doubletree and they told me I can collect them at night since it was fasting time. I came down at night and they told me nothing was there that maybe later I asked second time and they said they didn't order any cookies I think that's unacceptable since it should be always available for guests, this is the second disappointment. Third, I ask 3 times for comp bottles of water because we got just 2 and we are 4 pax and I needed to make bottles of milk for my children. The room attendant came arguing about that the comp bottles are just 2

Wonderful breakfast and many choices to eat. The management team has a great customer service orientation. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Sharjah. Definitely four stars and possibly 4.5 stars.

For example, I requested extra pillows (pillows were very thin and uncomfortable) when I arrived late evening but I had to make three calls to front desk (AND 45 minutes waiting) to get the pillows delivered to the room! another odd thing: I asked for a couple of table spoons to use, but I was told there'll be a charge for the spoons! fair enough they retracted from the charge when I expressed my disappointment and dismay! Apart form that, hotel location is very good and valet service was very good.

One last thing I did not like was that the hotel management did not care about my personal situation. For example, I had to leave two days earlier than expected and when I talked to the hotel they refused to refund me my money for the two days. I spoke to Expedia and they also did not refund. I think the hotel should have given me at least credit for the next stays instead of just refusing NOT to refund for the two days I did not stay.
