Great hotel, brilliant staff, big comfy room, roof top pool was still open, very clean and an excellent selection for breakfast. Location is great too - 10 mins walk to the Theatre District and the Oblisk one way and Plaza de Mayo in the other. Next in Buenos Airies, will seek to stay here again Nothing

Auch dass man keinen frischgebrühten Kaffee ohne Aufpreis bekommt (Maschine ist vorhanden und eingeschaltet) ist für den Zimmerpreis nicht nachvollziehbar.

As a female solo traveller I would have preferred to be somewhere where the main entrance to the hotel was more public. The entrance to this hotel is on a quiet street off a main very traffic busy street, so late in the evening when returning to the hotel I was acutely aware that I was a lone female on the street.

• sherrysS6938SB (10/5): Loved staying at Esplendor by Wyndham! Highly recommend it!! - My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Esplendor by Wyndham. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and the hotel is beautiful and very clean. Our hotel room was spacious and the bathroom as well was a good size and had a large shower. Everything is very tastefully decorated. A plus they also offer complimentary breakfast in their bright, fairly large restaurant. Definitely recommend this city hotel; you won't be disappointed with the accommodations and will appreciate its close proximity to the sites and waterfront that are within walking distance.

We stayed a week and so had booked a very spacious suite facing the internal courtyard ( certainly no worse than the street view, which is a bit dingy!!!). So lovely big room and bathroom, with kichen and dining table. We even made dinner in the room one night, big Carrefour supermarket just next door. Lovely staff at breakfast, they would make scrambled eggs (only)to order. We also had dinner one night and it was great. Nice pool on the roof for cooling down, often we were the only people there. Great hotel location for a first time visit.

• Cruiser518368 (10/5): Great hotel experience, fantastic front desk service! - This hotel proved to be a terrific choice for us for many reasons. We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to a two-week cruise. Most importantly, the front desk staff was outstanding. Even before we arrived, the Concierge, Juan, set us up in a great room, including a generous kitchenette, and he arranged transportation from EZE Airport. We were able to check in early and go out and explore the city. The hotel was walking distance to important sites like the Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada. After a busy day of fun site-seeing, another Concierge, Josefina, worked tirelessly to track down a live TV news video we’d been part of earlier in the day (at a famous ice cream shop)! She also found us fabulous gluten-free restaurants and gave us other tips about the city. The rooftop pool was refreshing and quiet. The hot breakfast was delicious and included yummy dulce de leche spread and fresh honey! The hotel staff (also including Ignacio and Pablo) were quick to help in any way – with money exchange, transportation to and from the cruise port, and they even stored our bags after the cruise (2 weeks later!) prior to our flight departure. We can’t say enough about their help, especially Josefina. Thank you!!

The room was large by European standards with a very nice, updated bathroom, spotlessly clean and with a couple English language stations on the TV. Desk staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. It is on a small side street that is a little dingy, but perfectly safe, and this helped ensure that is was very quiet for sleeping (and napping after a red eye flight). It is only one block to Avenida de Mayo and then 5 blocks to the Casa Rosada. Really an ideal location. Best of all, it was a great value for a lovely hotel. My husband was very impressed that I had found it.

The window insulation is not very good, and I could clearly hear street noise at 3 a.m. If you’re a light sleeper like me, it’s best to use earplugs.

• drdoom2019 (10/5): Great place to stay when and when in Buenos Aires - Very surprised at how nice the hotel was because it's very difficult when you review some of the ratings and what people write. Check-in was a breeze. The front staff including Juan were really attentive. They were very helpful in giving us information on where to eat, what to avoid, and where to go for shows. The room we were in was very upscale and european. The shower was awesome, my wife said it was great awesome I think is higher than great but anyway you get the picture. In addition they had a good day something that you can't normally find in American hotels. The air conditioning was nice because they had Mini splits. The TV was adequate, and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient in the room was extraordinarily clean. The price for the hotel for what you get was very reasonable in my opinion. Location was nice, and I have no problem staying here again next time in the Buenos aires. The continental breakfast was in my opinion okay cuz I'm used to different types of food, but my wife liked it. However I found the coffee to be very unsatisfactory as I felt it was way too weak.
• Seaside51958586546 (10/5): A great stay at this comfortable and conveniently located hotel with great service - My husband and I spent three nights in this comfortable, quiet, clean, conveniently located, and reasonably priced hotel. The room was large with a kitchenette. The buffet breakfast, which could be eaten indoors or outdoors, provided a variety of pastries, fruit, veggies, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. The bilingual staff at the reception desk were very welcoming and helped us book tango tickets, and transportation to the airport. There were a variety of restaurants and shops a short walking distance away and a 24/7 grocery store a block away on the same street. We would not hesitate to stay there again, if we returned to Buenos Aires.

The room was ready when we arrived a little early and that was appreciated after a very long flight. They answered all our questions and directed us when we asked. The room was quiet and extra pillows were provided. The breakfast was good, fresh and tasty. The girl refill anything that gets low immediately. You can ask for a speciality coffee for a fee but it was very good. The breakfast ran later than most which we appreciated very much. They broke larger pesos for us as needed. I so close to the Rose Palace and the main avenues. Easy to get an Uber and to walk downtown Florida Ave. felt very safe. Thank to Iara for you kindness & professionalism.

• stonecoldmd (6/5): Esplendor is a Misnomer. Tucked away in a little dingy side street and is easy to miss. VERY SMALL - Tucked away on a dingy side street the entrance was very easy to miss. The lobby was small but clean. Desk agents friendly. However its attempt at Euro Chic fell way short of the mark. The rooms small and dated. The bathroom held together by duct tape and bubble gum. If you’re over 250 lbs find another bathroom. Elevator could only fit 1-2 people with normal luggage. Least is their ability to obtain dinner reservations when requested.

The concierge helped us with taxis and a tour and were very polite. I wish I knew the name of our dining room helper, she was so patient with our poor grasp on the Spanish language. • robert-not-home (10/5): Clean, comfortable great location and helpful staff - I’ve stayed twice with a third stay coming up as part of my Patagonia trip. The first time was in the VIP king suite which is large and has a kitchenette. The room was clean and quiet facing into the courtyard so no street noise. The plumbing did “sing” and was noisy enough that flushing the toilet at night could wake a traveling companion. The staff was friendly and helpful The location is great and close to the Main Street but set back a block or two so quiet but still easy to get to restaurants, shops etc. there is also a Carrefore close by if you want to pick up som groceries The breakfast was, for me, only OK. I like granola cereal or similar but the options there were mostly flakes or sugary type kid food. There was fruit meats etc so enough to choose from but lacking my breakfast preferences I also want to commend the staff for accommodating my odd arrival time me. The first time I booked the night before as I was arriving at 9am and wanted to ensure I could get into my room after a long overnight trip. I contacted them on WhatsApp to let them know and they held the room as promised. There was a brief moment of confusion on arrival but I explained I had paid for the night before and my room was indeed ready and waiting for me. The second arrival was after 1 am due to a flight delay I know it is staffed 24 hours but still the staff was there waiting for me with the paperwork there and ready to go which was great and speaks to their organization and customer focus I’ll be back for my third stay in a week and have no doubt it will be great (except for maybe my breakfast cereal choices)!

It's next to the 24 hour Carrefour and walking distance to a lot of shops, landmarks like the Casa Rosada and San Telmo, and Av 9 de Julio. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very kind. Breakfast is also included. The wifi was very spotty and slow, even when I was technically connected.

• Jung A (8/5): Good choice to stay in Buenos Aires. - The location was very nice. You can walk to the Casa Rosada and the Plaza del Mayo. The famous cafe, Cafe Tortini was also very close(3 min by foot). The hotel booked us a Tango show near the hotel, which was great. Breakfast was also amazing. The rooms were a bit outdated. No courtesy water bottles, so we had to buy them at the supermarket near the hotel.
• Katharine (9/5): Excellent location and friendly staff with a good size room - Friendly staff, great location near main sites and good size room. Pool wasn’t very clean.
