- Sherri (9/5): Great location! - Great location near the interstate, shopping, and historic Winter Park. The staff was very friendly. My room was clean with lots of towels. The mattress in my room was sunken on both sides after years of use. It needed to be replaced but I still rested well. My room faced traffic, but I had packed a sound machine which muffled the noise. Lastly $15.00 a night for parking on a lot across the street with no coverage or security seems excessive.
- Audra (4/5): - Lovely, spacious room. Super strong synthetic fragranced air fresheners in the lobby and breakfast area. So toxically unpleasant! I'd always try to hold my breath every time I'd walk in and out of there. This is incredibly unhealthy and really reflects negatively on Marriot as a whole, as it is not this corporation's standard to use such products, in my experience.
- pzm (10/5): Hidden gem - Vanessa & Alexis were warm & welcoming. The room was well appointed, spacious, spotless & safe with the Most comfortable king size bed and pillows & total blackout curtains. Grateful for the Complimentary breakfast which consisted of assorted juices, coffees, teas, yogurts, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sandwiches, bacon, sausage, breads, pastries and waffle making station. 30 minute walk to quaint Winter Park Ave for shopping & restaurants. Even closer 5 minute walk were tons of dining & shopping options. Definitely recommend for a long weekend stay.
- Duxburygal (6/5): Beware of Sneaky Parking Fee - Hotel room was best part of otherwise imperfect hotel. Room was large and clean with plenty of good lighting and a desk. However, the bed was sagging and uncomfortable and in urgent need of replacement. Breakfast was not up to usual Marriott standard. Eggs were inedible. Fruit salad did not look fresh. There was no plain yogurt available, only unhealthy sweetened yogurt. In addition, the day after departure, I discovered a $15.00 charge on my bill for parking, which was never mentioned at check-in. When I asked check-in clerk about unusual amount of hold on my credit card ($38.98), she told me it was for incidentals from shop. However, it turned out that it was related to $15.00 (plus tax) for a night of parking. This fee should be made clear up front. There is on-street parking right near hotel and I never would have agreed to this nuisance fee in a small town where street parking is available.

- Marysal (10/5): - Property is very well locate with plenty of restaurants within five minutes. Breakfast was good for a buffet. Room was very clean and quite. We has a king room with sofabed. Modern hotel. Will be back.

- Dylaur (10/5): Wouldn’t hesitate - Had a good experience here. Stayed on side of main road on a Saturday night and did not find road noise an issue after dark. Previously stayed at The Alfond which is definitely a higher end hotel, but this hotel has all that’s needed at the lower price point and clean. Decent gym, has a basic bar after 5:30 and the usual basic free breakfast typical of mid-level hotels. Alfond has a pool and beautiful lobby and restaurant. Alfond a short walk to Park Avenue if that’s important to you. If not and just need a good place to sleep you won’t be disappointed here. Plenty of restaurants around it.
- Suzanne (6/5): - Nice, remodeled property, but they did a disservice by putting a barn door with a frosted glass cover on the bath entrance. Everyone that uses the restroom at night wakes up everyone else. Also, service a little slow signing in and they didn’t tell us that we had to pay for parking. This also was not listed on our travel site. Processed food at breakfast was a variety but fresh food was not the best. Gym was very nice. We don’t normally do reviews and while we thought the room was really spacious and modern, there’s some room for improvement.

- Lesbia (2/5): - La Gerente fue muy amable Malisa, sin embargo, en recepción solicité extender mi estancia 2 noches más porque quería quedarme con mi hija más tiempo ya que fuimos a ese hotel por la cercanía de la Universidad, viajamos de otro país y quería quedarme más tiempo con ella; asumí que lo habían reservado ya que la reserva la hice directamente en recepción y para mi sorpresa, cuando regrese a mi habitación, estaba bloqueado mi ingreso, baje a recepción y me dijeron que debía desocupar la habitación y que estaban SOLD OUT; fue horrible porque no teníamos donde quedarnos; llego la gerente de turno y se disculpo diciendo que me darían puntos extras por ser miembro de Marriot, cosa que no hicieron y en el momento solo quería que respetaran mi reservación pero nunca aceptaron su error. Pasamos muy mala experiencia, súper desagradable. Lamento porque el hotel esta muy bien ubicado pero en mis próximos viajes buscaré otras opciones.

Parking was across the street in a guest parking lot as they have construction in their main lot so no parking in the hotel lot right now. Apparently it has CCTV for security in the guest lot but I didn’t see it. However you could see it from the hotel room windows.

He helped us in so many ways!

- rtfremo (10/5): Great option for families! - This was a great hotel for me and my three sons (ages 26, 22, and 17). We were in town for a funeral, and travel was so expensive. It was a lifesaver to have a room that we could all share comfortably (four beds, if you count the sofa and trundle). Plus there was a bar for me, breakfast was great, coffee was great, and staff were helpful and kind.

Totally enjoyed breakfast and coffee before heading out for the day. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was the parking, I felt it was a little bit of walk. But I do think they are working on getting closer parking. I would encourage anyone goig to the Orlando area to check out this hotel.

- MyrdinPotter (4/5): Stay away. Poor property. - Poorest Marriott Experience in several decades. When I checked in, no acknowledgment of my status. They gave us a room facing the busiest and noisiest street. TV did not work (was unplugged by previous guest as had been set such the the backlight was always on). There is no maintenance at night to fix any issues. Shower takes 10 minutes to reach a warm temperature and does not drain quickly so floods bathroom getting to a reasonable temperature. They could not move me because the hotel was too full. I checked in 24 hours in advance so could have assigned a better room. I have stayed almost 5 years of my life in Marriotts and this ranks as the absolute bottom of any property I have stayed at.

Our room was very attractive, but the configuration was a little strange in that the bedroom could not be separated from the common area. Our air conditioner was not operating correctly and made a strange and aggravating noise.

- DiverM (10/5): Good Stay - We stayed here to visit Winter Park. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and the visit. It was nice having breakfast included. I did notice the food was lukewarm = not hot. The second day I was very careful to eat the hot food immediately to see if it was me and it was only Luke warm. It was ok but I think they need to heat it more. We did eat early in the morning so not sure if things were still warming up. As others have mentioned the bathroom is at the foot of one of the beds. I brought a dim light to use having read this in other reviews. The bathroom is large. I have seen this layout at other Springhill Suites. Be careful of the electric charging. I believe it is operated by an outside vendor and the rates can be exorbitant if you are not careful. I think they charge something like $5 per hour if you are in the spot not charging or after charging. In our case the car never charged but we were charged $2. I think they don’t want people occupying the 2 spots very long since they only have 2 spots. The hotel does charge about $15 for parking. Other reviewers have said you can just park in the street for free but the hotel claims that is their parking as well and you have to pay. Anyway not a huge deal but be prepared to pay to park. We did enjoy our experience overall. We used Marriott points for our stay.

- Beachcouple18 (4/5): Stay Elsewhere - Do not stay here unless it is your only option. First off, the rate is $299 for this poorly constructed hotel. For Platinum members.. you get no recognition, no bottled water in your room, not even to make coffee. The open self parking is $12 per night + tax. What a joke. The best part is they put you right on the busy road which is literally steps away from the hotel so you can hear traffic ALL night long-even with the best ear plugs. The drapes are sheer & thin, so you have no sound dampening at all. Walls & windows are like paper. The beds/pillows are miserably uncomfortable. Stay elsewhere.
