Guest Reviews
- Aaron (10/5): - Was about a 5 minute walk to any train station we needed. The food options nearby were pretty good, very quiet and room size was way bigger than I expected. Nice water pressure.
- Sean (10/5): - Great location. Breakfast buffet is pretty terrible for western palates but plenty of cafes nearby. I stay at this hotel frequently. Good price and everything is adequate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Yozo (10/5): - 良い.
- isao (6/5): - The big bath s located on the top floor wbs not well organized unlikely clean in the bath nor the water.
- Eli Eliahu (10/5): - Nice room
- WAKANA (10/5): - NICE!
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Buen servicio y buena ubicación - Muy buen hotel.
- Monty (10/5): - Sparkling clean, and quiet neighborhood. two family marts within a few steps. close to subway. reasonably quiet other than it seems that lots of sports teams (baseball) were staying there while we were there in March of 2023. I and my wife and teenage daughter would stay there again. Central tokyo location.
- mun0nnl (8/5): Clean, functional, very good - We were there for work and this hotel was exactly what we needed.
As with most other hotels in Tokyo (or so i was told), the rooms are small. That was fine with us.It may be a problem if you have a lot of luggage but I traveled light.
The room was very clean - and that to me was very important. In fact, the whole hotel was very clean and it made the stay there very pleasant.
Perhaps i was tired with work but i enjoyed the sleep i had while i was there.
There was shampoo and shower gel provided in the bathroom. The water pressure was great and the water was hot.
It is also within walking distance of the train stations and there are a lot of nice places to eat at around the place. Family Mart is nearby too.
There is also the common baths at the top floor.
- dusansg (8/5): Nice hotel - I've visited this hotel on my first day after arrival to Narita, continuing my trip to Niigata region. It's a very nice hotel, friendly staff, good location, nice amenities and great food. I think I can recomnend it to everybody.
- almschi (8/5): Modern, pleasant, international style - The lobby is large and pleasant; my room (a twin with large beds) was fine and in the far distance, Mount Fuji could be seen. Good soundproofing in the bedroom. TV channels in Japanese only, as were the controls for the "washlet"". Intermittent problem of smelly drains in the bathroom (I informed the reception). The reception of the (free) wifi in the bedroom was weak, but no problem in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was good, with predominantly Japanese food but scrambled eggs, toast etc...were also available and for those who prefer, a pleasant European-style coffee shop (Café Veloce) is just two blocks away . There is a subway station just a short walk from the hotel.
- ellerolf (8/5): Japan Cherry Blossom tour package - This hotel is our hotel for this cherry blossom tour package. It is quite a decent hotel. Very clean and the staff are all nice and courteous. We stayed here for 1 night only because we had to transfer to another hotel near mt. Fuji. I think this is an affordable hotel thinking since it's part of the package, the rate must be affordable. Quite place and near Shinjuko.
- NuriS853 (6/5): Good experience - Le Port Kojimachi is a nice, affordable hotel. We booked 3 rooms as we travelled as one big family (6 person) for 4 nights. My sister in law is a Japanese, so she recommended this hotel because it's clean and it isn't too expensive (I think around $100 per night.. In Japan, it isn't so bad), and was close to her family's home.
I was very impressed with their jacuzzi, it helps a lot after a long day strolling in the city. I hope to one day visit the country and this hotel again.
- lynnt533 (8/5): Good hotel - I really liked the hotel and enjoyed to views of Mt. Fuji from my room. The complimentary breakfast was really good too. The only thing missing was a gym but overall it was a good stay. The rooms were clean and big enough. The beds are very small, perhaps ask for a queen instead of two small single beds. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
- ElmaLovesTravel (8/5): Good experience - The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, there is a travel agency in the foyer, hotel is close to underground, quiet area. Many restaurants to choose from on the block. Bonus : I even had a view if mount Fuji from my room !
- foxypez (8/5): Western-style hotel in business district - I have nothing poor to say about Le Port Kojimachi. I have stayed there twice now on business trips and always found the staff to be very polite, friendly and accommodating.
The rooms are fairly plain, and can be on the small side, but have western features including bed, kettle, fridge (mini bar) etc. Internet access is available in rooms via LAN cable, which can be borrowed from reception.
The hotel has multiple restaurants, but I have only sampled one for breakfast (buffet style - mix of Japanese and Western foods in the "Piazza" restaurant). There are many places to eat close to the hotel, and the front desk can provide a map (in Japanese) showing many different eateries.
The hotel is only a 5min walk from two different subway stations, so is pretty convenient for getting around Tokyo.
Definitely geared towards business travellers in this location, but was just right for this purpose. I can't comment on the price/value, as work paid for me.
A great bonus feature is the onsen bath on the top floor of the hotel. Though its not a natural onsen, its a great treat to have a nice open wash area, sauna and hot bath from which you can look out over the Tokyo skyline, especially at night after a hard day's work!
- TravelOpinionGirl (8/5): Great stay - Although this hotel is geared more towards business travelers, we stayed here because our friend's wedding reception was held here and found it to be very convenient. The rooms are very small, and the bathrooms smaller. My husband and I hit our head on the doors a lot! They only offer twins, which is a bit of a bummer when travelling with a partner. The public bath is FANTASTIC, and I highly recommend it. For those of you who have never used a Japanese bath - just do what the others do and you'll catch on in no time. Don't forget to bring your towel and wash towel with you from your room, as they aren't provided in the bath.
The hotel is very convenient to two subway stops (within a 5 minute walk). The folks at the front desk didn't speak much English (again - this is not a hotel geared towards tourists!) but went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. There is plenty of great, inexpensive food in the neighborhood (restaurants and fast-noodle joints that cater to business workers).
Overall, a very pleasant experience and reasonably priced. Four stars only because - while the hotel is exceptionally clean - no amount of running the air purifier in our room could rid it of the smell of stale cigarettes. As an aside, the hotel doesn't have an English sign with its name on it out front, but it does have a sign with the English name of one of the restaurants within ("The Piazza"), so look for a place with a half-circular drive, umbrella holders, and "The Piazza" restaurant, and you'll find where you need to be! Also, for foreign travelers, there is a post office right down the street (building next to the subway stop) that has an ATM which will accept foreign bank cards.
