• 영희 (10/5): 최고의 호텔 - 이곳은 조식은 운영하지 않은 호텔이지만 바로 나가면 많은 식당들이 있어서 불편하지는 않았습니다. 호스트가 워낙 친절하셔서 가기 전부터 오는 길을 상세히 안내해주시는 메일을 주시고, 가서도 정말 친절했고 환대받는 느낌을 받았습니다. 방은 공주방 같았는데 이게 베네치아 스타일의 인테리어라는 것을 나중에 알게 되었습니다. 저는 허리가 좋지 않은 사람인데 메트리스가 좋아서 만족스러웠고 어메너티나 이런 것들이 정말 훌륭합니다. 하루밖에 방이 없었던 점이 아쉬움으로 남았습니다. 친절, 서비스, 위치, 모두 만족할만한 호텔입니다.

• Michel (10/5): Amazing location with incredible value in Venice! Yes! - This property incredibly well located. Within a couple minutes of Rialto bridge, 7-8 minute walk to Piazza S Marco, close to great selection of bars and restaurants (to be fair most hotels in Venice are). Incredible value in the heart of Venice near the grand canal. The staff was very helpful and down to earth, multi-lingual, and just down right pleasant. They will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and memorable, without being overbearing. For fairly independent travellers they were perfect. We stayed in room 6: there is a large light for the alley below. You need to close the shutters to block out the light, otherwise it feels like the sun streaming in all night! There is literally nothing negative to stay. My only comment COULD be: if you are a traveller that requires constant attention at all times of the day, people to make restaurant reservations at the drop of a hat, or any other type of immediate concierge type of activities…I’m sure they would bend over backwards to make it happen. But I am not convinced it is in their natural wheelhouse to do so.

Having window view of canal came with some unwanted noise late at night or in the morning. Not a big deal, but if your a light sleeper, I wouldn't get a room on the canal. The curtains don't completely close, letting a sliver of light into the room. If you need a completely dark room, that could be a problem. My wife used a hair clip to fasten the curtains, which helped.

Titziano was an excellent host and gave great recommendations. The property was central to everything! Absolutely loved everything! The cleaning staff should have left more toilet paper by the end of our stay. Minor but important detail.

У нас была кофе-машина, электрический чайник, чашки, штопор и бокалы для вина. А так же сам кофе и пакетики с чаем, джем. В холодильнике была вода в бутылках. Само расположение отеля очень удобное, гуляя по Венеции мы постоянно оказывались не далеко от отеля, всегда можно забежать в номер отдохнуть или взять что то. Нас разместили в номере даже раньше назначенного времени, так как номер был уже готов к заселению. Отель очень чистый, белье свежее. Мы будем счастливы вернуться к вам снова! -

• Jonathan (8/5): We were glad to find Hotel Sotoportego for the value, location, security, and comfortable night’s sleep. - The bed was comfortable. The location in the city was nice for us to access other activities and points of interest and away from the busiest of areas. Entry to the property was easy and secure. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind once we saw him on the day of our departure. He was also responsive to our messages. Luggage storage was offered after checkout so we could more easily continue to enjoy the city on the day of our departure. Air conditioning was listed as an amenity, but it is not available in the room. We were able to open the windows to cool down the room to our liking, until the smell of cigarette smoke came in from outside. The noise from the restaurants below continued until 11:00 PM, but after then it was silent and we slept well. We did not see any hotel staff until our third day. The staff person apologized profusely that his colleague was not there on Saturday or Sunday, so I think the absence was unexpected.

• Anne (9/5): Fantastic hotel in the best location - Amazing location, lovely rooms with historic furniture and character, fantastic canal views and well equipped rooms (coffee/tea making facilities, fridge, complementary soap, bottle water etc). The hotel staff are truly fantastic- so friendly and helpful. Good WiFi and easy check-in. We had a wonderful stay here and we would recommend this hotel (but you must sleep with earplugs!). Soundproof is not good between the rooms or blocking out any external noise, so you must sleep with earplugs. But even then, you will wake up a few times every night for a neighbour to come home or noise from the canal (which will affect every hotel in Venice).

• Dudder (10/5): Nice, clean hotel and excellent staff. Made our stay great. - The hotel manager Tiziano made our stay fantastic. He made a guide map outlining the best routes to tour the city and see the best sights, and also marked his favorite restaurants and cafes on the island. He was very kind, helpful, and hospitable. Plus the canal view from the room allowed us to wake up and peer out into the canal first thing in the morning.
• Katie (10/5): Excellent comfortable stay in superb location with attentive and friendly hosting - The location was great just a few mins to Rialto Bridge and within walking distance of all the other sights. We had a canal side room which we loved being able to watch all the hustle and bustle of canal life but would anticipate rooms not canal side would be quieter. Our host, Tiziano was so friendly and helpful providing a map of Venice and suggested walking routes and sights to see. Take a gondola ride from outside (€90 cash only) as the route takes in more quiet canals with just a short stint on the Grand Canal. Characterful traditionally Venetian styled room was extremely comfortable, well appointed and very clean. Great to have a decent sized fridge and plenty of other storage. Very minor point to note would be water pressure not very strong in shower.

• CRISCARLA (9/5): Muy buena ubicación. Relación calidad-precio. Qué hecho, pues que no podía abrirlo - Lo que más me gustó, sin duda fue la ubicación. Al lado de los lugares más interesantes el puente de rialto e incluso a diez minutos de la plaza de san Marcos. La habitación triple estaba muy bien. Tenía una decoración muy bonita. Lo que no me gustó fue que no había conserjería veinticuatro horas, sino que, simplemente, era durante unas horas y que allí pues no había lavabos y después quería ir, no ofrecían desayuno.... Pero bueno, esto tampoco fue importante para mí.

• Enrique (10/5): El mejor alojamiento de Venecia - La ubicación, el personal (muy servicial, amable y siempre sonrientes), la vista al canal, muchos detalles de cortesía (café, galletas, tés, tapones para los oídos, un mapa con itinerarios, restaurantes no turísticos recomendados...) en la habitación, la posibilidad de dejar el equipaje y volver más tarde a recogerlo... Un sitio estupendo donde alojarse, además hablan español muy bien. Si acaso y como anécdota, mejorar la legibilidad de la caligrafía del sobre en el que dejan la llave de la habitación si llegas más tarde de la hora del check-in y el personal ya no está. En mi caso, había un sobre con un nombre parecido al mío que coincidía con la habitación que había reservado, pero yo leía una y otra vez "Junior García". La cogí con ciertas dudas de que quizá cogiera la llave de la habitación de otra persona, pero me decidí. Poco más tarde descifré que ponía "Señor García". Quizá fue error mío al leer el nombre, no sé; aun así, es un detalle menor que no desmerece en absoluto la calidad del alojamiento, que es absolutamente recomendable y al que volvería sin duda.

• Martina (9/5): - Hotel bellissimo, dotato di tutti i comfort. La nostra stanza era splendida, pulita e fornita di tutto il necessario. Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti calorosamente da Tiziano, che ci ha preparato una mappa personalizzata della città e ci ha dato tantissimi suggerimenti utili su cosa visitare. La posizione è eccellente, perfetta per muoversi a piedi e godersi Venezia. Consigliatissimo! 😊
• Emily (10/5): - EVERYTHING about this property was absolutely wonderful. The location is in a premium area, the view out of our room is as beautiful, and the staff were so helpful. They were willing to hold our bags after checkout until our train left which was extremely helpful.
• Ciak (3/5): - The location was great, staff was very friendly and helpful with suggesting good restaurants and the room was clean. The stay here for our 15th anniversary was very DISAPPOINTING. I read lots of great reviews for this hotel before booking and every person who had a good review mentioned the beautiful canal view. I was expecting the same but was very disappointed to find that our room had a view of a cement wall that was about a foot away from our window. We could not see the water, or the sky or anything, just a wall and it was so close that the sun did not even come into our room. In the middle of a bright sunny day you had to turn on all the lights to see. On top of that, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on and it was comparable to sleeping on the floor. The bathroom could have been much better. There was a wooden pallet as the floor to the shower, and I was so grossed out that I avoided taking a shower at all since we were only there for 2 nights. The listing photos on booking.com were misleading and felt we got scammed as we paid the same price for our room as the ones with the pretty views (and daylight). Unfortunately, I do not recommend this hotel at all since there is a chance you could be the unlucky one who gets this room.

Location was excellent and room was also very nice. Staff give great recommendations for restaurants and walking routes that take you past more than just the big tourist sites. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and stay again if I’m ever in Venice again.

• Andreas (10/5): A perfect stay that made our time in Venice truly special. - It was a cozy room in the best possible location to explore Venice. I think that if we had stayed in a different location, our experience in Venice would not have been as awesome as it was. The room had everything necessary (hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, coffee maker, iron, slippers, and more). Our room had a very cute view of the canal. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful; he provided recommendations for places and itineraries. There was an option to leave luggage for storage after check-out, and they also have a common toilet that can be used after check-out. When we came back to collect our luggage, we even found two bottles of water left for us, which was very handy since we had to rush to the train station. We will surely recommend it to anybody and when we come back we would love to stay here again. -
