- Malaika (10/5): A home away from home — stayed here for 5 days and loved it - Great location! In the heart of Shibuya but on a quieter side street. Rooms are small but are clean, well organized and have everything you need. The hotel staff are super helpful and the on-site restaurant and bar have tasty food and good vibes. I’d 100% stay here again!! Can’t think of anything I was unhappy with

All Day Place is one block from Shibuya crossing so its right at the heart of Tokyo. I loved the cafe downstairs which also turns into a nice brewery at night. It made getting around very easy and convenient since there were great food and entertainment options within walking distance. There were also a lot of thoughtful amenities that made the stay comfortable, especially the laundry rooms, vending machines, and the restaurant/café bar downstairs, which was convenient after or before long days out. The staff were consistently friendly, and helpful whenever I needed assistance. The hotel also did a great job with cleanliness: housekeeping was frequent, efficient, and easy to arrange, so the room always felt fresh and well maintained. I also appreciated the overall facilities and atmosphere. The hotel had a nice quality-traveler friendly vibe, good noise isolation and it felt easy to relax and blend in. A small but memorable touch was that pajamas were provided. Overall, the hotel balanced practicality, cleanliness, and comfort really well, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The stay itself was already on the expensive side, and when we looked into extending our stay, the rates were noticeably higher, which made it difficult to justify going back or staying longer. Also, we stayed in the “Compact” room, and it is truly very compact. With two medium-sized suitcases, we had to be mindful about space and when opening our luggage. The bed was also small. That said, the room was modern, thoughtfully designed, and still comfortable enough that the size did not negatively impact our overall stay. I would just recommend future travelers keep the room size in mind, especially if traveling with multiple bags or if you prefer more spacious accommodations.

The staff are there 24 hours and always with a smile. The rooms are small like most in Japan, but we still could fit our 2 suitcases open the whole time in the king size room. So clean and modern. Right near the station. You cannot hear the street noise. The washing machine facilities are great plus the microwave to heat up your market foods. Fantastic coffee shop underneath coming from an Aussie. Nothing really.

The room was extremely dusty, they say they clean every three days of your stay but never did. Sheets were covered in hair. Only two laundry machines for the whole hotel. The views are depressing. The way the AC is built it blasts right into your face as you’re sleeping. Tiny fridge. Tiny garage pail (some of us have children with diapers, perhaps something to consider)

The room was an expected tight space as that is normal for a Japanese city. Staff were very friendly and we got a discount at the bar and coffee shop in the same building. Room could have surprised us and been bigger but it was not unexpected. Two close friends snuggled into the twin just fine.

Auf den Fotos bei der Buchung war mir das leider nicht bewusst und das Hotel war voll ausgebucht, daher konnten wir das Zimmer auch nicht wechseln. Wir haben später aber erfahren, dass die Zimmer in Tokyo im allgemeinen eher klein sind.

The biggest issue was the room size and overall value. We booked a Superior King expecting more space, but it was extremely cramped, with barely enough room to walk or open luggage. There was almost no storage or usable space, and the layout felt poorly designed. The bathroom had a constant humidity smell, and the finishes felt cheap for a property claiming to be four star. The cleaning policy was also frustrating, with full cleaning only every three days and limited daily service that felt more like cost cutting than sustainability. The lobby was chaotic and did not feel like a proper hotel space, with luggage everywhere and a disorganized check-in experience
