Our host Mart was very friendly, he met us upon arrival and showed us the property in detail, answering any questions that we had. The property itself was beautiful, it had amazing views and facilities. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the perfect size for two. The pool was lovely and a great addition to the property! Check-out was very easy and Mart kindly offered to drive us to the bus station across town which demonstrated his excellent hospitality! Would highly recommend this stay.

Location was walking distance to beaches , shops, and restaurants. Bus stop to old town less than 10 minutes walk (No. 6 bus) Wearing trainers is advisable as gritty paths to beaches etc. Hosts extremely kind helpful and informative. Steps up to apartment. Dubrovnik is very hilly and has lots of steps
• naomi boland (10/5): Recommend a stay here - Had a great stay I'm villa.borna. bus nearby to the old town but was as cheap and easier to take an user. Place was spotless and Martin was always friendly and helpful. There was a supermarket really close by and it was a short walk to many restaurants and bars. Definitely recommend.

La piscine sur le toit terrasse ainsi que la zone aménagée pour observer le coucher de soleil sont superbes pour finir la journée en beauté. Très bonne localisation également: bus n°6 et n° 2A et supérette à quelques minutes à pieds. Nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésitation pour un séjour à Dubrovnik.

• Michael (9/5): - Martin could not have done more for us. He even offered to drop us off at the old town as he was going out, but we preferred to walk the 40 minutes into Dubrovnik old town. Apartments 1 and 2 are on the ground floor. The other apartments have stairs to them. There is a supermarket about 300m. away so you can make meals if you want, as apartments have a kitchenette. Car parking was spacious and easy to access.

Το σπιτι βρίσκεται σε μια πολύ ομορφη περιοχή με κοντινες παραλιες, σούπερ μαρκετ και ιδιωτικό παρκινγκ. Χρειάζεσαι το δικο σου μεσον να πας στην παλια πολη αλλα υπάρχει κοντα και λεοφωρειο. Το δωματιο πολυ ησυχο και καθαρο και υπαρχει και πισινα για να δροσιστείς. Η τιμή του πολυ καλη για Ντουμπροβνικ.

• Peter (10/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Fantastic Stay at Villa Borna! - I recently stayed at Villa Borna in Dubrovnik with my three brothers, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived (even with a delayed flight and a very late arrival around 2am), our host Martin and his lovely family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and very well-equipped. We had two twin rooms that were incredibly roomy, with all amenities provided. The bathroom was modern and of great quality, with an excellent shower that was perfect after a long day exploring. Fresh towels and beach towels were provided, which was a huge plus! The highlight of the property is definitely the pool – perfect for cooling off in the warm Dubrovnik weather. The views of the surrounding scenery were absolutely stunning and made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The location is ideal: just a short walk to the beach and the Lapad promenade, where you’ll find a great selection of places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Old Town is also easily accessible with a quick Uber ride. During our stay, we experienced a bad thunderstorm, and once again, Martin and his family showed exceptional hospitality by providing fresh towels and even moving our clothes out of the rain. Martin was in regular contact throughout our trip, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed and making sure our stay was smooth and stress-free. Even after checkout at 10am, Martin kindly kept our luggage safe while we waited for our airport transfer, which was incredibly helpful. Overall, Villa Borna was outstanding. Martin and his family truly made our stay special, and we’re all incredibly grateful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. My brothers and I had a fantastic experience, and we hope to return one day!

He gave us a very nice explanation of the city/public transport with several recommendations so we didn’t feel lost at the start of our trip. The check in and out were flexible to accommodate our schedules. Our appartement was clean and had everything we needed. The terrace and pool were the highlights of the accommodation, and have an amazing view over the sea. With the busstop only 5 minutes away (with a bus which is going to the city every 10 minutes), the location is also great. Would definitely recommend this place! Nothing

Pohvaljujemo gospodina Martina koji nas je zadnji dan boravka odvezao do Starog grada, omogućio parkiranje i nakon odjave iz apartmana, kao i gospođu Ljiljanu koja se brine za čistoću, koja je besprijekorna. Besprijekorna je i čistoća okoliša oko apartmana, kao i čistoća bazena. Predlažemo uvesti mogućnost hrvatskih programa na TV-u, takodjer smatramo kada bi namještaj bio malo moderniji da bi to podiglo razinu apartmana, iako napominjemo da je bezobzira na malo stariji namještaj boravak u apartmanu bio izraziti ugodan.

• cristina (10/5): Recomendable - Apartamento muy limpio y confortable. Tiene cocina con microondas, nevera, vitro y todo lo necesario para poder cocinar. Las camas son muy cómodas y la estancia es espaciosa. También dispones de espacio exterior con una mesita y sillas y un tendedero. La playa está a unos 300m. Baño completo con muy buena presión de agua y toallas. Muy buena climatización. TV. También disponen de una piscina común, aunque no puedo opinar de ella porqué no tuvimos tiempo para disfrutarla. La casa está en un entorno natural muy bonito y tranquilo y está todo muy bien cuidado. Además el anfitrión es súper amable. Está a unos 3km del centro y bien comunicado por autobús, taxi, Uber o Bolt. Además dispone de parking privado en el exterior vigilado por cámara.

Wish to stay longer! :) - We got the best room on the top (3rd) floor with a huge private terrace (with tables, chairs, beach chairs), and a swimming pool located just a few steps away (although it was shared with guests from other floors, there was no one there most of the time, and it felt private). Very nice sunset view! The room itself had everything we needed, including kitchenette. Location of the house is on a dead end street with a private parking in front of the building, so no traffic and very quiet! There is a bus stop (to go to city center) within 10 min walking distance. Very friendly host (speaking English, German, and even a little Russian)! :)

Der Pool war ein echtes Highlight und perfekt zum Entspannen nach einem Tag in der Stadt. Der Gastgeber war unglaublich freundlich und hat uns alles genau und verständlich erklärt, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Die Anbindung mit dem Bus war ebenfalls top – in kurzer Zeit ist man direkt in der Altstadt. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The pool was definitely the highlight of our stay. The host was friendly, but unfortunately too intrusive and seemed to keep a very close watch on the property and the guests. He knocked on our door twice to comment on us having the lights on inside (which was necessary since there was only one window that didn’t provide enough natural light) and for using the air conditioning. Because of this, we did not feel fully comfortable during our stay and would not choose to return.

An Uber into the old town cost about 10 Euros and the restaurants along the road to sunset beach were about a 15 minute walk away. The host was very helpful and there to greet us on arrival. He also recommended a local boat company and explained where the bus stops and shops etc were located. Would be more than happy to stay there again….

• Helen (10/5): Had a great stay at Villa Borna, would come again and would recommend - 11 of us stayed at the apartments, 2 families. The apartments had everything we needed, and the owner couldn’t be more helpful. It’s only a 5 min walk to a shop, 10-15 min walk to a choice of restaurants, there is a bus stop 15 mins walk away but as we were a large group we used Uber to get to the old town and back, these came within a few minutes and cost around €14 for an XL (up to 6 people). The swimming pool at the apartment was also lovely, we had a very busy holiday but were able to spend one day around the pool. The furnishings are bit dated in fashion but that wasn’t a problem.

La silenziosità della struttura e la riservatezza nonostante fosse a 2 passi dal centro. Inoltre la piscina è un plus. La luce non era ben schermata dunque all'alba ci si sveglia, inoltre la porta d'ingresso dà direttamente nella prima stanza e per raggiungere la seconda è necessario attraversare la prima disturbando chi vi dorme.

• Paolo (10/5): Un benvenuto cordiale da parte di Martin - Il titolare Martin è una persona molto gentile e amichevole che parla molte lingue ed è felice di scambiare due chiacchiere con i clienti nella loro lingua o in inglese. Vista la difficoltà di parcheggio in città, come in tutte le città in Croazia, il parcheggio riservato incluso è una grandissima comodità. Nulla da segnalare.

• Audrey (9/5): Très chouette et propriétaire ultra sympa - Logement très agréable, propriétaire ultra sympa qui donne plein de conseils. Endroit très calme et accessible en voiture qu’on laisse sur place pour ensuite prendre les transports en commun vers le centre
• milena (10/5): Very clean apartment with super friendly host. - The apartment was very clean and spacious. I really liked the he swimming pool on the top of the building. The host and his whole family were very friendly and always tried to help. We arrived few hours before the scheduled check in time but the host did what he could to accommodate us as quickly as possible.
• Nick Johnson (10/5): Villa Borne is a safe, clean, friendly place with a pool and lounge areas to enjoy. - Martin the host was exactly as I had expected as he had called me after making the booking. He makes a real effort to get to know about his guests and I can see that he wants to ensure that you have a good time and have booked the right place to make your holiday special. He took time to let us know about the local area, routes to find your way around and some personal recommendations too. This is a family business and home and we also got to meet his wife and son who were also involved with the running of the accomodation. They too went out of thier way for us and this was appreciated. The apartment was clean, comfortable and close to the pool (which is great), the kitchen is a small galley but stocked with the basics and also including an induction hob, kettle, toaster & microwave - but a bit tight to want to cook a big meal, but this was not an issue for me as I'm on holiday. Perfect for a simple breakfast. I booked this room for my daughter & I and think this is probably better suited to a couple or two mates on holiday, however Martin and family managed to move our booking to another apartment in the block with an extra room. Thank you Martin! I rarely leave a 10 out of 10 as exceptional is hard to find anywhere. However, it seems that Booking.com or agents score the hosts very critically on only accepting an exceptional score and I got a message after submitting my 8/10 review saying that the commision is based upon this 10 out of 10 score - which is not very pleasant, as I do not want to take away from this families income. I ask that Booking.com review themselves and the expectation of always being exceptional as this paints a false picture and makes a mockery of true feedback and the time taken to leave an honest review.

• bousoufiane (10/5): Sublime et reposant - Appartement très propre et emplacement impeccable à proximité de la plage, environ 150 m, et aussi d’un arrêt de bus pour le vieux dobrovnik Café, restaurant, commerce tous à 5 min de marche Nous avons profité de notre premier jour au maximum grâce à Martin qui nous a permis d’avoir notre appartement un peu avant 10h du matin au lieu de 14h La piscine est très propres et avec suffisamment de chaises long et de transat Encore merci à notre hôte en reviendras avec plaisir

• Agnes (10/5): Super séjour de 3 jours à la Villa Borna - Hote très sympathique et accueillant. L'appartement était très propre, la piscine également. Emplacement parfait à 10 min a pied du bus 6 direct pour la vieille ville que l'on rejoint en 15 minutes. Un super séjour dans ce logement

• Agnes (9/5): Quelques jours au calme entre visite de la vieille ville et plage - Un appartement parfaitement bien situé, climatisé, calme et confortable. La vieille ville est à 10mn en taxi ou Uber (9 euros la course en moyenne), la plage est à quelques minutes à pied. Tout est calme dans ce jardin plein d’agrumes , la piscine et ses transats sont les bienvenus pour se reposer entre deux visites. Le prix reste élevé comme tous les hôtels et restaurants de Dubrovnik en haute saison

• Stanko (10/5): A truly fantastic and excellent holiday experience! - Fantastic house w a great location, facilities and a truly hospitable host. It’s located at the end of a calm street overlooking beautiful scenery and the sea, just a short 2-3 min stroll from some great beaches. Several grocery stores are nearby (200-500m) including the great local bus (cheap, goes every 10 min and w AC). A place to come back to many times! Nothing, just wish we could have stayed there longer!
• Stephen (10/5): Enjoyed every minute. If back in Dubrovnik, would definitely stay again. Martin was a great host! - Excellent location with short stroll to beautiful little swimming spot and pathway along the water’s edge. Supermarket close by and pool was great. Nothing!
• Antonio (10/5): - Fantástica piscina compartida con otros huéspedes. Tiene tumbonas, sombrillas... En varias alturas lo que la hace muy cómoda. El dueño no nos pudo hacer mejor recomendación, no mover el coche e ir al centro en Uber, allí es imposible aparcar y el Uber fue barato 8-9€.
