Guest Reviews
- Nnamdi (6/5): - The apartment was small and cute; also was a decent location.
I didn't like the communication between the owners (whomever) was supposed to give me access into the apt. My reservation was forgotten and took longer for me to find the place and check-in. The apartment given to me was not the same as shown in pictures.
- Jolanta (6/5): - Great location near the tube station. Check in was easy with the info provided….only downside was that I had requested early check in and although I got early access the room has not yet been cleaned. They were apologetic and responded quickly once I let them know. The apartment itself was clean and had everything you might want….the common areas (entry and stairs) were not clean so that created a negative first impression. Laundry facilities were appreciated and it was a nice touch to provide laundry detergent. Good value
- Verified traveler (8/5): Satisfactory Accommodation - The accommodation is very convenient and well-appointed, offering a good balance of location and price. However, cleanliness could be improved; I found dust and leftover items from previous occupants under the bed. Additionally, the constant sound of doors slamming was somewhat distracting. Despite these issues, I would consider staying here again due to its prime location and affordability.
- Leonard (8/5): - The apt was clean and well furnished with a comfortable bed and excellent shower (in a minuscule bathroom). However, it is on the 4th floor (59 steps up for an octagenarian on a cane) and has a view of a blank three-foot parapet wall.
We loved being in central Brixton.
- Bonnie Lou (8/5): - Apartment was very cute. Having to carry our luggage to the top floor in a narrow staircase wasn’t much fun but otherwise it was good
- Nat (6/5): Lovely apartment, but certainly not the cleanest.. - The apartment is in a great location, very close to the tube station and a range of shops/restaurants. Decorated very nicely, modern and tasteful. Bed was super comfy. The only thing that lets this place down is the cleanliness. The floor had not been swept or mopped - there was dirt all over it. The bed sheets were very stained/didn't look fresh. There was a random piece of loose sticky tape just laying at the end of the bed. The tiles behind the tap in the bathroom had toothpaste splattered on them and so did the door.
- Aaliyah (8/5): One-Night for Concert - My stay was amazing booked the apartment for one night as I was attending a concert and didn’t want to travel and 1-2 hours back home it was very convenient. Only cons were when I first arrived there was a small smell but it disappeared after few hours (could’ve been mixed cleaning products) another con was the noise but considering the location it’s acceptable and understandable.
- Phoebe (10/5): - It was clean and the locking system felt very secure 👍
- Carol (10/5): Brilliant customer service and nice apartment - Extremely clean and comfortable apartment perfect for 2 people. Very well located for Brixton Academy where we were going for a gig also very close to the tube. Shortly arrival we noticed that the fridge wasn’t working but luckily Desmond from maintenance just happened to be in the building visiting another apartment at the time and came to check and got it working for us, he was very helpful and friendly we also received a follow up email from Your Apartment team that evening to check that everything was ok. Brilliant customer service and nice apartment meant we had a great time Thank you all
- Anais (2/5): - Would not recommend
- Sohail (2/5): - The pictures shown on the site are a pure lie. The apartments are small, ill equipped and don’t come with the amenities touted.
I booked a 2 night stay. On checkin I noted how disgusting the apartment was, the floor was dirty/bathroom had hair etc. the wall at the base of my bed had foot marks from previous guests. I was also missing some spoons.
I made contact with the property to highlight the missing spoons and they said ones would be provided the next day. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9am… I was fast asleep, they then failed to leave the spoons? The staff claimed this was so “they wouldn’t get misplaced”, with all due respect, who wants to steal IKEA cutlery? No one.
One night in, and after highlighting the little things I thought were wrong, the power to my apartment went at 10pm. The emergency number DIDNT WORK. No one picked up and I left countless voicemails.
The next morning I was awoken at 9:30…. I thought considering the circumstances the property would not be so annoying. They then had the nerve to email me AFTER I left saying I had to leave? Rang them annoyed and the women on the other end acted confused; as if ebookers didn’t make contact at 2am after my countless emails highlighting the issues with the power. She apologise but that’s as far as it went.
The property itself is dirty in the corridors and communal areas. The stairs to the apartments are steep and there is no lift so keep this in mind. The local area is rough.
- Miss (6/5): The power of having a great photographer & staging - My bathroom, unfortunately, had a damp smell as the extractor fan was broken, I wanted fresh sheets however the staff said to me this is not possible if you don't stay over 7 nights, which is crazy considering how much you pay. The location was great as I wanted to go to o2 Academy Brixton, the room is slightly dusty. Good variety of options for TV including Netflix, YouTube, ITV etc...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Stylish interior but small/impractical - The rooms are decorated very well, they are stylish, cosy and recently renovated. It is also very clean and the staff are quite easy to communicate with.
There are a few issues though, the rooms are incredibly small so only really suitable for very short visits - they are basically just hotel rooms. The kitchenette is so tiny it’s useless.
Further the noise insulation is terrible, I could hear every word of my neighbour’s very long phone calls - and she was on the opposite side of the corridor (through two doors). The stairs are also very steep and narrow, so be warned if you have a lot of luggage!
Overall the rooms are very well finished and look great, but not really suitable for what I needed. I’m sure they will suit some people for a short stay, check-in is easy and the location is great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cute but noisy - The flat is well located in the heart of Brixton however that certainly comes at a cost. Our room was on Brixton Road and despite the double glazed windows it is very very noisy. If you're a light sleeper I would not recommend unless you also have ear plugs.
Otherwise the flat, although very small, is well decorated and comes with the essentials.
