The communal pool is awful, with rust, cracks, and missing tiles everywhere. The beach mattresses are dirty and moldy. The dinner food was truly poor quality, served in aluminum foil. 3200 AED for one night is appalling value for money. Do not recommend at all. We do not understand the customer reviews. The only customers are those who come to spend the day at the pool.
• khaled (10/5): i wish i stayed here long time ago, cant wait to be back - the staff (Dickson and Mahmoud) were a big part of making our stay special, even when having electricity outage they handled this the best way possible and managed to get things running in no time. food was also great, i just wish they had a specialty coffee instead of machine coffee yet it was good unlike the typical machine ones, the pool in the villa was big and water was warmed up! i can see myself coming back anytime of the year. nothing really, maybe the fact that there were mosquitos but honestly they werent a problem as the property has a machine in one bedroom handling them!

• Milda (8/5): A little bit outdated hotel with exceptionally friendly staff - Despite a few organizational hiccups, starting the day with a boat ride was actually quite fun. The hotel offers a boat to Abu Dhabi roughly every hour, and the trip takes only about 15 minutes. Parking the car was extremely convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive - that was truly the highlight of our stay. It genuinely felt like they cared and sincerely wanted to help. The rooms felt quite dark, and the private swimming pool could use some restoration. Overall, parts of the property look a bit tired and would benefit from some refreshing. The music selection at the pool - some russian patriotic songs - didn’t quite match the upscale atmosphere the hotel aims to create.

Le personnel est au petits soins, charmant accueillant et chaleureux. Dixon à la réception et Mahmoud le directeur d'établissement feront de leur mieux pour rendre votre séjour le plus agréable possible. Vraiment je ne suis pas facilement élogieux plutôt du genre pointilleux devrais-je dire, mais ils le méritent sincèrement.

Our villa was very spacious and we appreciated the heated pool that was conveniently shaded. The service was great, all staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was tasty and it was a good idea to have all meals a'la carte, that we could also enjoy in the villa. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and we hope we will come back soon.

• Doreen (10/5): - Wir sind eine Familie mit 2 Kindern und waren schon zum zweiten Mal auf dieser tollen Insel. Es war wieder wunderschön. Man fühlt sich durch den hervorragenden Service sofort willkommen. Wunderschöner Strand der regelmäßig gereinigt wird. Das Personal ist herausragend freundlich. Die Villen sind nicht mehr neu, aber es wird alles getan um sie so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Ich denke es war alles frisch gestrichen, die Betten, Kopfkissen waren alles neu, die Betten wurden jeden Tag frisch bezogen und die Villa aufwendig geputzt. Man konnte sich Frühstück in die Villa bestellen, das hat alles immer perfekt geklappt und wurde pünktlich und warm geliefert. Das Abendessen war extrem lecker und abwechslungsreich , egal für was man sich entschieden hatte und das Serviceteam hat sich ausgezeichnet um uns gekümmert. Am Tag sind Tagesgäste um den Poolbereich herum da, die haben aber keinesfalls gestört und wir haben eh fast immer am Strand in einer Cabana mit Tischen und Liegen relaxt oder die Kinder haben im Pool in der Villa gespielt. Wir finden die Kombination von einsamer Insel mit nur 5 Villen aber trotzdem hervorragender Infrastruktur mit Restaurant, Bar und großem Pool durch den Beach Club extrem angenehm und werden sicher ganz bald wieder kommen.

• Roman (5/5): Für uns war es keine Wohlfühlinsel. - Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Im Poolbereich war es unhygienisch und nicht sauber. Gleiches gilt aber auch für den Strand und die Wiesen. Wir haben uns in der Villa nicht wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war zwar sehr groß, aber alles doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Altmodisch, die Klimaanlage sehr laut. Das Hotel entspricht einem Drei Sterne Hotel nach westlichem Standard. Das Restaurant war okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier sicherlich nicht. Es kommen täglich geschätzt über 100 Tagestouristen auf die Insel, die ihren Dreck und Abfall mitbringen und liegenlassen.

The staff were great, especially Hesham at reception and the gentleman who helped with our luggage. It would be nice to see a spa added in the future, along with more sports and activities for both kids and adults.

The beach was serene and clean, and our villa offered fantastic value for money. It was the perfect quick getaway from the city hustle, while still being accessible. Highly recommended! - The TV felt a bit outdated—it wasn’t a smart TV and streaming was limited - Bathroom amenities like shampoo and shower gel were rather basic and could be improved. - Given the resort’s secluded setting, it would be nice to have an on-site gym or basic fitness options. However, don’t let these small issues discourage you—they’re minor compared to such an enjoyable retreat!

The villa was very spacious, clean, and well maintained. perfect for a relaxing escape. The food at the restaurant was delicious with a great variety, and the service was excellent. A special thanks to Mr. Hisham at reception for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Overall, a wonderful experience with great service and tasty food. Highly recommended!

The villas are nice and clean and very spacious, the private pool just adds to the vibe. There is a separate beach for the residents of the villas, which again is amazing, some very good water activities as well. food also was very good, the team was kind enough to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Lots of complimentary drinks and ice cream. Special mention for the F&B team, Prakash, Ramesh, Greg, Nidhin and the Chef, top people. Thanks for looking after us. • Zuhair373 (10/5): Best 2 nights I've ever taken in a resort - I loved how the Island is isolated, the villa has really awesome design and details, loved that they upgraded my reservation to a bigger villa which got me bigger private pool, I enjoyed having the choice of either eating at the restaurant or brining it in the villa, also the staff there are really really nice and polite Even though it's a resort for relaxing, the idea of not having a gym or anything like that it's not great since the place in an isolated Island
• Khaled (7/5): Good to spend day but not for stay - The location ...the villa has a private swimming pool and near by the beach..has a nice big public swimming pool.. They have good facilities for who wants to spend his day in the big swimming pool...lockers, showers, changing area. The restaurant is very clean and the stuff are so friendly and respectful.. The cleaning of the villa was not as much as I acepected..Need more to do so ..slow in finishing it...the mixture of the swimming shower was hard to turn on once your hands are wet ... The doors are slightly small...Food served in restaurant need enhancement and variety..The taste of food need more to add to it..less activities..they have only Jet skies and kayak...no much activities for kids or teenagers..

Mahmud took extra special care of us and made it his purpose to get whatever we needed. Really outstanding service which is unmatched. Dickson & Hisham on reception were always friendly and happy to help with the club car and Greg, Brenda and Ramesh in the restaurant made us feel special at every meal and accommodated any request we made. A truly 10/10 experience from start to finish. The pool area had a great vibe. The service at pool side was fast and the menu is varied. I cannot recommend Al Maya enough, what a fantastic experience. A USB charging socket for charging in the room would be nice. But this is a teeny tiny niggle. Don’t let this put you off. Plenty of power outlets in the room.

The hotel itself organized a very nice setup in the restaurant with small present cakes when they found out we were going to celebrate a kid’s birthday.

A truly unforgettable stay! - I spent a few days on this incredible island and was absolutely blown away by the setting — it’s like a little paradise tucked away from the world. The natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and breathtaking views made it a perfect escape. I also want to highlight how kind and helpful the staff were throughout the stay. Always attentive, always smiling — they really made us feel welcome and well cared for (Special thanks to Greg, Brenda, Ramesh and Peter from the F&B team, and to Dixon from the Security/Reception Team). Before arriving, I had read a few mixed reviews about the food, so I was a bit skeptical. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I tried almost every starter and main dish on the menu, and everything was delicious, fresh, and well presented. Clearly, a lot of care goes into the kitchen. All in all, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a unique, relaxing experience in a stunning location.

• Hamad (9/5): Superb - The staff was utmost professional and accommodating to all our requests, whether it was having meals on the beach, or any last minute requests. The private pool is definitely big plus as well. Big shoutout to Ali from the frontdesk for making this stay comfortable, he is definitely a hospitality star. Due to the weather being windy, some areas of the room were subjected to some sand/dust. Would've been nice if the housekeeping was extra meticulous with the floor cleanliness in this aspect. Ot is very nitpicky and minor. The TV was slightly outdated considering it was antenna only. No other comments, everything else was splendid.

• Jade (10/5): Lovely getaway for the weekend - I loved that the property was quiet, staff were very friendly and informative. We were welcomed by Rayan and Dickson and they were incredibly lovely! The service was great as well. The quality of food wasn’t the best, it could have been much better especially that the resort is lovely and the prices are high. This was the case for breakfast and dinner, maybe a new menu / chef is needed
• Zeinab (7/5): I ONLY LOVED THE STAFF, nothing more. - I LOVE THE STAFF THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! Very professional, very positive and polite, very helpful, they went above and beyond. My baby needed emergency (the hotel phone fell on his head because the furniture is very old and the room is very cluttered), they helped me so much emotionally and arranged everything for me from emergency to boat ride. This is the only thing i LOVED - the staff made my stay perfect The hotel location is amazing, the room is spacious and super convenient! We were able to order from Talabat and they made sure we had what we ordered! (They picked it up by boat) - THANK YOU STAFF The food was very bad! - quality and taste. The room were not clean at all (this was very unhealthy for my baby) - there was alot of dust, dead insects! The room has very very poor quality furniture! - it was very dangerous for my baby because things were suddenly falling from the wall (for example the bed wall suddenly fell off, the mirrors in the bathroom fell off, so many others) - i was so scared that someone will fall at my son!! So I could not sleep all night. It was NOT a relaxing trip. The furniture has rust (it is very very dangerous for my baby because be was (like any baby) touching the table and the windows which was rusty, and very old)! Again you feel it will break down any second. The stay was not comfortable at all, the hotel is very safe and beautiful but inside the villa is dangerous, unclean, unsafe, uncomfortable!!

• NATHALIE (10/5): - Une escale paradisiaque avec une impression d’être seuls au monde, jolie villa deux chambres avec piscine privée, magnifique plage de sable blanc et eau turquoise, piscine chaufée, jacuzzi et personnel aux petits soins. Petit déjeuner et dîner en formule demi-pension copieux. Transferts en bateau avec vue incroyable sur le palais d’Abi Dhabi.

Every sun lounger we went to there was rubbish left on the floor and around the tables. Somebody should be employed to clean the beach area because there were lots of water bottles by the rocks next to the ocean and these could be harmful to the sea animals.

• Peter (10/5): Excellent holiday would definitely come again - The peace and quiet of our lodge. The service and food was excellent. Every where was clean and the housekeeping did a very good job. The Staff were very accommodating and laid up our dinners and breakfast everywhere we wanted them, whether on the beach or grass. The service round the pool side was excellent. Slight lack of 13 amp plugs in the lodge. Shower had a drainage problem partly because the tiled floor was not draining properly. On checking in we were disappointed that we had to pay more for a 14 year old when all was declared correctly on Booking.Com
• David (8/5): Beautiful isolated location. Check no events booked! - Beautiful spacious white sandy beach with cabanas. Lovely views. Very big rooms (suites) in Arabic styling with private heated plunge pool. Very helpful friendly staff. Very noisy corporate function first day and techno type music round the pool but very quiet for the rest of the week. Ten minute boat ride to Abu Dhabi could be inconvenient with restricted timings

• Fahad (10/5): Amazing stay at the Al Maya resort. - The manager Ahmed is amazing and very helpful with a lot of things- the room is very big and the place is amazing for family and couples because it is very quiet and you can walk on the beach and enjoy the day. Nothing.
