- Kasina (2/5): - The location was good Not sure if we were just unlucky, but our experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. When we arrived, we were informed that there would be a scheduled power shutdown the next morning from around 8 AM to 3 PM due to building policy. To be fair, this information was mentioned somewhere in the hotel policy/details during booking, but it was buried in a very long information section that we honestly did not notice. It was partly our mistake for missing it, but it would really help if the hotel could send a reminder message or email to guests before check-in, as this is quite major information. The actual power outage also started earlier than expected, around 7 AM. Thankfully there was one emergency light in the room, but many systems became unstable because of the shutdown, including the key card system and even the room phone, which could not contact the lobby. Later, after returning to the room, there was a very strong chemical/paint-like smell that made the room impossible to stay or sleep in. We had to request a room change, but the process took a very long time because many systems were not functioning properly during the outage. On top of that, we booked 3 rooms and one of our friend’s rooms was not properly clean upon arrival, with hair found around the sink area, which also required a room change. Overall, it may have been an unfortunate situation, but the hotel did not feel properly prepared to accommodate guests during this period, and it resulted in a very poor experience for our stay.

- Kathy (8/5): Tonight stay in Singapore, close to river - The room was clean, and the hotel is very close to the Singapore river. So a good location for walking along the river and catching a bomb boat ride. The key card for using the lifts was very confusing in my opinion. Also at the beginning the cards didn’t even work properly for opening our door -the receptionist said maybe one had expired. But it was still very frustrating. It was quite convoluted catching the taxi from the airport to the hotel, due to the one-way streets in the area. Is very close to raffles underground station, but we never worked out which was the exit that was correct for our hotel which made it quite confusing. And no one offered any information about where we could get breakfast outside the hotel, and we didn’t find out till an hour before we left that there was actually some food places to the right and across the road. The opposite direction that we had been walking every day. We also had a scheduled power outage on our last day from 7 am in the morning. No power, no Wi-Fi, no shower, very inconvenient. Although it was a building outage I feel that the booking should have made this clear and should have offered some sort of a discount for the inconvenience of it. I did meet a couple of very helpful reception people, but none offered information unless we asked lots of questions. There was no booklet in the lounge to give us information about facilities, markets for food, how to use the trains, nothing at all. And there was no sign saying that you had to do that electronically either. Welcome book with information would have been very helpful.

I stayed in a suite, so expected more, and it wasn't really that great. Lack of English service, lack of access to cold water or sugar free drinks or healthy cold drinks on arrival shortly before 11pm (no room service, the bar / restaurants had apparently closed). It was very hard to find the road level entrance on arrival and generally.

Booked a grand loft at $400 a night but didn’t expect to find our bed on the floor - just a mattress at top of stairs. Advertised as a mezzanine but didn’t expect think would have an actual bed. I had to climb on from end and there wasn’t a lot of room to do that. Not mentioned in description either. We are both j. Our 60,s and would never of booked if knew we were on the floor. - Amanda (8/5): Great for a 2 night Singapore stopover - Location was good…easy walk to most of the main tourist sites. Lau Pa Sat food market and Satay street just 5 minutes walk. The swimming pool is great for swimming laps plus lovely spa. Allowed us to store bags and use shower and pool area after checking out as our flight wasn’t until midnight. The room was small and advertised as an apartment which is a stretch.

- ML AL (7/5): Ok but not again. - 1 Queen Room, was not very spacious but ok. The athmosphere is unpersonal. Okay for business but really a technical lodging. Reception is on 9th floor, with no "hotel" sign outside, just "Oakwood Premier". Breakfast looked ok but one time there was not cutlery available ("in the washing machine"), the other time an omelett was prepared rather fluid. Maybe this was due to the recent change of ownership which included a change of the breakfast format. Not adequate for the price level.

- Frances (8/5): - the location was great. i liked the soap choices in the bathroom and the pillow options of a hard pillow and a fluffy pillow was nice could have more food choices for the breakfast option in terms of the mains
- Nataly (10/5): Чудесный отель в незабываемом городе! - ВСЁ было совершенно идеально!! Местоположение - замечательное! В самом центре. В двух минутах ходьбы три разных ветки метро, пешком можно дойти до основных достопримечательностей, до Марина Бей 20 минут спокойным шагом. Чистота, идеальная кровать/одеяло/подушка. Миникухня с холодильником, кофемашиной, микроволновкой. Есть фен, утюг, халаты, тапочки. Само здание достаточно уникально! На 17-20 и 51 этаже настоящий парк! На 9 этаже бассейн и небольшой тренажерный зал. В общем, все продумано и очень комфортно! Персонал суперприветливый!! Такого не было и не могла быть! Все было идеально!!

The room appeared clean at first. - Check-in was extremely inflexible: we arrived earlier and were not allowed into our room even a few minutes before 3 PM unless we paid a high extra fee. - Service was poor overall: despite having five heavy suitcases, no one offered help or suggested using a luggage trolley. - Staff seemed disorganized and not very friendly. - There was visible mold in the shower, which is unacceptable for a five-star hotel. Overall, the value for money is not justified.

- Georgia (10/5): Iconic building with a great pool and clean rooms. - We stayed here with our 6mo and 3yo and we all had a really nice stay. The staff were very helpful with finding us two cots at short notice (our travel cots got lost in transit) and were always quick to respond to and queries about the room. Our room was quiet, very clean and had great views. The highlight was the roof top pool and outdoor spaces, we spent a lot of time playing there and were also able to bring back our own meals to eat near the pool or in the bbq/garden area. I actually think the photos don't do the shared facilities justice and should be shown before the room photos; the roof top space is really generous, especially if you're into swimming or fitness (~25m lap pool, 2 outdoor circuits, 1 indoor gym and a sprint track), there is also a large spa amongst the trees that's not pictured and the building facade itself is architecturally really iconic (designed by a renowned architecture studio called BIG). I'd encourage visitors to explore the 17th and 51st floor as well. The location, while central, is more of a business district so not very interesting for a traveller, but the hotel is very close to public transport. The air-conditioning in our room was initially not changeable so we spent the first night really very cold, it wasn't until a technician visited the next day that we were able to change the temperature ourselves.

- Sawako (10/5): 素晴らしい - スタッフが素晴らしい。みんなとても感じ良く優しく親切。そしてテキパキとした仕事ぶり。 最寄りの駅への行き方を尋ねてたら、一緒に駅まで連れて行ってくれた。 いろんなところを旅しているが、こんな親切は初めて。びっくりした。
- Anonymous (9/5): - Very well located close to MRT's. Clean, modern, new room with a kitchen which was useful! Oh and a Nespresso machine with pods! The renovations didn't bother us at all, it was quiet, just an area on the main lobby area blocked off. Maybe its done now. Laundry facilities were good but expensive. Our room was really humid, after returning home and unpacking our clothes they were wet! In some places we stayed in SEA they had portable dehumidifiers in the rooms, this hotel needs to do that! The restaurant on the top floor...I think it was the Italian one was terrible! Took a few bites of our dinner (we ordered same dish) and neither one of us could finish, they let us order something else from the menu so we ordered pizza and it was the strangest pizza...made on a pre-made focassia bread type base and cold not baked fresh just a cold pizza. For a city that has amazing food this was surprising.
