Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): I would not stay here again. - Stayed here for my last week on a month long solo trip. Took a while to check in. You have to pre-check in first on a link, and take a picture of your passport. On check in day, you have to take a selfie of yourself to match your passport photo. It kept denying me saying faces dont match. Really frustrating after 20 minutes of trying.
First impression was the house is really small. If you're planning to rent for a group, I would say 4 people would be max. The dining/tv area is really tight. I'm 5'6" 160 lbs. and couldn't imagine people physically bigger than me hanging out here. Plus the seats around the table were really uncomfortable.
When setting up the floor futon, I noticed the cushions were stained with sweat and maybe urine? Whatever it was, it's something you don't want to see after a long day of traveling. 2 of the beds are on lofts. The ladders to get up there are pretty high up. I slept in the non loft area on the floor. Every morning, I would wake up with bug bites on my body, neck, and face.
The house is really dusty. It made my allergies go crazy when you turn on the heater. Turn off the lights, turn on your phone light and see how much dust gets kicked around.
The walls are paper thin and can hear everything outside. When using the first floor toilet, I'm pretty sure the daycare next door can hear you do your business.
I had to shower in the dark because the light was out.
Trains stations are about 15-20 minute walk away if you love walking.
- Miguel (8/5): very good house to stay in Taito city - The house itself Just a little more clean
- Jesse (10/5): Would book place again ! - Everything was great very well kept
- Tsuen (2/5): All I wanted was a place that is clean, safe, and quiet. I didn't get any of them. - The house was tiny but cozy. You get the entire house for yourself. The dinner table was big, maybe even too big. They provide trash pickup service. It is a poor and inconvenience neighborhood. You need to walk 15+ minutes to Minami Senju or Asakusa for anything. During our stay there was even a thief case in the neighborhood where police came and asked for security footage.
The place was noisy. It is surrounded by factories/workshops. The front door is often parked with their vans and trucks, forcing you to squeeze your way out. There was heavy noise from sliding and slamming doors, manufacturing and engine/loading/unloading noise throughout the day, from 6am until 6pm, sometimes earth-shattering. The daycare-like place next door has people gathering outside, sometimes with children crying or shouting, including weekends. There were people walking by talking loudly at 2am and dogs barking at 5am on the same Sunday morning. There was an event on a Saturday nearly at our door where large crowd gathered, shouting and laughing, and people singing on loudspeakers for hours right in front. They also parked dozens of bicycles outside, completely blocking us. There are notes in the house to remind us to be quiet to not bother neighbors. The irony wasn't lost on me.
Because of the industrial activities, the place was full of dust. And despite charging you over ¥10k "cleaning" fee, they don't do much cleaning. The pots and utensils were oily and smelly. The place was so dirty and dusty, it felt like it had been abandoned for a while. My wife spent 3 hours cleaning the tiny place so that we could tolerate for the night. The mattresses were covered all around with stains and a lot of hair. We had to go out the next day to buy more cleaning supplies and dusting brushes to continue cleaning. We also put paper mattress wrapper over before using them. I feel like they should instead be paying us the ¥10k for cleaning. Their reaction to our cleanness complain was simply "they'll take our *opinion* into consideration in the future.
- ???? (10/5): - 落ち着いた空間でした。
近くにスーパーもあり、自炊しての宿泊にはとても良かったです。
ありがとうございました。
