- Cameron Ryan (6/5): - The facility is very modern and in a good location with easy access to the metro and train system. Also walking distance to louvre and notre dame if you're not in a rush. Staff were very friendly however front desk often very busy with only one staff available meaning long queue even for minor issues. The bathrooms were fine though the showers had a timer on them so every 10 seconds you had to restart the shower which was increasingly frustrating with each night. Also one of the guests in my room had an unfortunate smell, obviously not much the accommodation can do about this guest but the limited amount of ventilation available made it difficult to mitigate the issue as the window could only be left ajar despite the fellow guests nausea inducing smell. Overall for what your paying it a good place to stay no extra frills does what it need. Curtains in beds appreciated.

The large 2nd floor, that functions as a bar, restaurant, or just as a place to hang out is nice. I liked the buffet breakfast, too. There is a nice kitchen on each floor (but I didn't use any). There was also a man's and woman's bathroom on each floor, with multiple toilet and shower stalls, that came in handy in situations where our private bathroom was being used by one of my roommates

We didn’t find it suitable for a family of 4. We hit a heatwave and the room was not air conditioned. A very difficult stay for our kids. Showers don’t suit families with children.

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was spacious for four people, and "pleasant", although it was hot (in summer) because they didn't allow you to adjust the AC temperature and it appears to be off or set to a high-eco temperature; the room had a standing fan, but it wasn't enough for four people. Overall, it's a good value for the price.

No Air Conditioning in the rooms. Summer time in Paris is extremely hot and you will not have a good sleep. Property was clean but not comfortable
- Kevin (4/5): Private room in a hostel - While it was advertised as a hotel, it is really a hostel with some private rooms. Although the room was private and had an en suite bathroom, the towels, linens, pillows and furniture were all hostel quality. The 15 second timer on the shower (think public restroom sink operation) and lack of air conditioning were supposedly for "the environment". However, the downright icy conditions in the lobby and restaurant/co-working space/bar tells me they are looking to save money and care more about the comfort of their employees than their guests.

- Chi Wai (6/5): - Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The location of the hostel is great — very convenient for getting around, and the overall cleanliness is above average, which I appreciated. However, I wasn’t happy with the price I paid. This was partly my mistake because I booked in advance without double-checking closer to my arrival date. When I got to the hostel, I found out that the walk-in price was much cheaper — around £30 per night. Unfortunately, Expedia didn’t offer a proper price match, and I ended up overpaying quite a bit. I recommend all travellers compare the prices on the hostel’s official website before booking here. Expedia seems to charge more and, in my experience, didn’t help with adjusting the rate. Lesson learned: always double-check prices before confirming!

Conveniently close to the metro as well and a small grocery store. The restaurant bar in the hostel tends to make it noisy though at night and the kitchen space is quite small and not very conducive to communal exchanges with other travellers.

I have been to so many hotels and never saw any shower like this. They don’t clean rooms or change sheets every day and rooms are not that clean. Bathroom sink is so small and water spills everywhere and there is no exhaust fan in shower, No AC in hotel and we stayed in 7th floor and it’s too hot. On first day we asked them to check in 30min early and they made us wait until the time is done though room is available. Will never come back to this hotel. Beds are horrible as we are waking up with severe back pain especially bunk beds are not convenient. Not sure how the other reviews are great for this hotel.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - This hostel is in a great location—close to Le Marais, Notre-Dame, and the heart of Paris, making it easy to explore the city. I stayed in a 4-bed ensuite room that was very clean and comfortable. The bed had a privacy curtain which was a great touch. However, the ensuite bathroom could use a few improvements—there was no bath mat, which made the floor quite wet, and there were no hooks or places to hang your things. The room didn’t have proper lockers for luggage or larger backpacks, just a small lockable box/cube for personal items. Towel rentals are €4, and luggage storage is available for a fee, charged by the hour. The common areas were clean, with small hangout spots on different levels and a shared kitchen. Would recommend!

- Xiaoyue (10/5): - It is clean and spacious. Just a bit far away from the center. But it only took us 25 minutes walking from the centre to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable hostel in good location - Great location. Bunk beds had privacy curtain, light, socket, shelf and cupboard. Lockable locker for small luggage. Reception staff friendly and helpful. When i stayed it was very noisy with school groups.

- Zoe Panagiota (10/5): Review The People - Quiet and comfortable mixed dorms in a big modern block, refurbished. Good value for French breakfast. Right in the middle of Paris, close to Saint-Germaine, Quartiers Latins and walkable to major museums, as well as Notre Dame.

- Mallory (6/5): - I had a four-bedroom dorm at The People. The staff was super friendly and helpful at check in. The hostel is in a great location in Paris...extremely walkable and close to a lot of sights. The shared spaces were generally clean and in good condition. The bedroom/bathroom itself was the main issue. It seems the bathrooms don't get cleaned if one of the four people has already checked in, so there was hair all over the shower floor and we ran out of the toilet paper the one night I was there. The other big issue is the lack of control over the temperature. I understand not having AC for eco reasons, but I was there at the end of March and the room was so hot overnight I woke up sweating multiple times. The room was facing the street, so leaving the window open overnight wasn't an option. There needs to be a way to cool the room...what happens to the people who visit in the summer?

- Melisa (10/5): - It's a really nice, clean and modern hostel. The beds are comfortable and the curtain gives you a feeling of your own private little nook with your own shelf, light, mirror, plug, and a lockable safety box, big enough to fit a laptop in. There's a bar on location with various events (karaoke, DJ night, etc) throughout the week for your entertainment. The 5 sec.-at-a-time showers, though initially annoying, are an important environmental initiative that I appreciate. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place.
