Guest Reviews
- Chan (1/5): Rude staff stay away - It had a nice beach location. They charged me $300 late check fee without disclosing this and expected us to check out by 10am which is insane just because I needed to checkout at 11am. I asked the staff about this and they said it was their policy and refused to do anything.
- 46ShannonH (6/5): Carnival cruise line atmosphere - Not the best experience. We stayed at the Westin Lagunamar for a week before coming here and what a difference! Lagunamar is beautiful and way more upscale for the price. I feel like we are on a Carnival cruise at this place.
Don’t expect your TV to work - because it doesn’t. I know that’s not important to the Carnival crowd but we actually come down here to live for several weeks every year.
The casual restaurant is actually pretty good for the hotel price. The nicer restaurant got me sick for 48 hours.
The hotel is half hotel and half timeshare - weird mix. I just don’t get it.
I could go on and on but I’ll leave it that. Enjoy your Carnival Cruise!
- romanw871 (10/5): Nice location, great service - We stayed as a part of our vacation club ownership. All the staff was very helpful and friendly, special shoutout to our assigned concierge representative- Brenda, I also enjoyed activities (HIIT, water aerobics) with Geromo.
They have multiple pools on property, direct access to the beach.
Also both the sports bar and the Sea &Stone restaurant were very good.
We enjoyed our stay.
- SDSunshine5 (10/5): Very peaceful and relaxing with exceptionally warm staff - This is the 4th year we have stayed at The Westin Resort and Spa. The property is of fairly intimate size, the staff are extremely friendly and accomodating and the beaches/pools in early September are MUCH less crowded than our usual January visits,
The spa is very nice, though I also especially enjoyed the massages at seaside cabana. My massage this trip with Lilianna was divine.
- Javier (10/5): - The food options were very limited and complicated. They need to have basic meal options and pump up the quality of the items. We had to travel to IHOP to eat a decent breakfast. Their Buffet was terrible. Food was dry and sitting too long. No variety. They would close 2 pools in the evening and all guest had no option than to all be in one pool , but they advertise 3 pools. The jacuzzi temperature was more like a warm bath that a hot jacuzzi. The main pool did not have any music playing during the day because they did not have another speaker when it was needed for other activities. They need to invest in another speaker
- Skyhawk1 (10/5): Quiet, comfortable, clean friendly - We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was a great time to be in Cancun as the sea turtles would come up on the beach every night to lay eggs in the sand. We met a lifeguard named Manien Perez the was friendly and knowledgeable. Manien took the time to teach us about the turtles and even allowed us to release some(at night) into the ocean. He is the reason we will be back. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. It’s a great place to visit.
- Alexander (8/5): - Nice resort to relax and swim. Pools are fun. Main pool is in the sun most of the day but there is a lot of shaded lounge chairs. Food is average and not a lot of options. During summer the seaweed is bad and you cant swim in the ocean. Beds are nice and room was great. We had a balcony with ocean view, a kitchen, and washer/dryer. Bus stop is easy to walk to and close by.
- L8286BVsarahe (10/5): Flow Rider Experience was Phenomenal - My two children, ages, 11 and 15, spent about an hour on the flow rider pool with Oscar as their instructor. Oscar was skilled, patient, friendly, and helpful to both my children. They had different skill levels and he was able to lean into their strength and help them both feel extremely successful on the body boards and the surf style boards. we highly recommend this experience for anyone, and our especially grateful to Oscar for making the experience so incredibly positive.
- AVISHEK (8/5): - Overall the property is very good. The view is excellent specially the pool overlooking sea.
However my personal concierge was just try to cross sell things to me instead of focusing on giving me a better experience. Very bad experience on the personal concierge.
- Justintime1989 (4/5): Disappointed - Wouldn't Stay Again - The Westin Cancun was honestly underwhelming. The food at the hotel was just ok, but you're much better off grabbing an Uber and heading to downtown Cancun. We found way better restaurants by the Las Americas plazas — even places like La Vicente or Hooters were significantly better in terms of both quality and portion sizes. We even did Uber Eats to the hotel a few times with no problem — much better value and way tastier.
One of the biggest frustrations was the Wi-Fi. I had important work meetings during my stay, and the hotel Wi-Fi was so unreliable that my calls kept dropping due to weak signal. For a place that markets itself as a premium hotel, that’s unacceptable.
Also, a heads up for when you arrive at the Cancun airport — you will be harassed by people aggressively pushing you to take a taxi and telling you that Uber isn’t allowed. Complete nonsense. Just walk past them, head toward the car rental area or the nearby airport hotels, and you can order an Uber like normal. We used Uber multiple times without issues — don’t fall for their scare tactics.
For the price you're paying at this hotel, I expected way better service, reliable Wi-Fi, and decent food. Next time, I'll be staying somewhere else.
- Rodrigo (6/5): - Having a strict check in policy until 4pm on a beach hotel is terrible. People are asked to leave their room at 10:00 am and new guests can only enter at 4pm it’s hard to believe they can’t manage this more effectively especially for short stays.
Staff was very friendly and the facilities are great especially the flowride personnel were great!
- alberto (8/5): - Nice hotel , pool and beach !
Quite disappointing the check in at 4 pm and check out at 10 am , I am not used to such a treatment , next time , I will look for a more flexible timing resort
- claudiasZ8314UM (8/5): Beautiful Views and Beachfront Bliss — With Room to Improve - We just returned from our fourth stay at the Westin Resort & Villas in Cancún and overall had a relaxing, enjoyable time. We stayed four nights in an ocean-view villa with a balcony — absolutely worth it. The view of the turquoise water, soft sand, and gentle waves was the highlight of our stay. We used the balcony daily, sometimes more than once a day, just to soak it all in.
There was a small issue with the first room we were assigned, but Bryan at the front desk quickly resolved it with kindness and professionalism. Thanks to him, we ended up with the beautiful room and view that truly made our stay feel special and worth returning for.
We ordered room service for most meals, and while the staff was accommodating, early morning orders tended to take longer than expected. The beachside food and drink service was great — fast and convenient while enjoying the sun. Vicente, our beach server, was friendly, attentive, and made our afternoons even more enjoyable.
I also visited the spa and had a deep pressure massage with Mari, who was pretty good and professional — a nice treat after days of beach time.
There were some downsides. During every visit, something seems to be under renovation — this time it was painting and a one-night issue with the water heater. Pool and beach towels weren’t available until after 9 AM, sometimes even later, which was frustrating for early risers. Housekeeping arrived late several times and occasionally forgot bottled water and toiletries. Also, the food wasn’t always consistent — the same dish could vary from one day to the next.
Still, we continue to return because of the beautiful beachfront location and quick access from the airport. With more consistency and attention to detail, this could easily be a five-star experience.
- Bradley (2/5): - We never stayed at the Westin Cancun Resort villas and spa. So, I cannot comment on this property. I'm sure it is nice. We stayed at the Westin Lagunamar both are in Cancun.
This Westin Cancun Resort villas and spa hotel is several miles away from the Westin Lagunamar.
Orbitz booked the wrong hotel. They booked the Westin Cancun NOT the Westin Lagunamar. I cancelled the Orbitz booking immediately, within minutes. I then paid with a credit card directly at the Westin Lagunamar. Even though I cancelled the reservation and was told by the Orbitz agent it was cancelled, Orbitz went ahead and tried to charge me the full amount for staying at the wrong hotel that I never even stayed at.
So, what I can say is DON'T use Orbitz. I filed a full dispute showing receipts and the cancellation, my bank refunded me the money after 3 months, but Orbitz is absolutely horrible. They used to be good years ago, but I will never use them again.
- abraham (10/5): - La pasamos muy bonito ademas el personal muy amable y atento
Muchas gracias
- LynnH567 (8/5): Beautiful location with comfy rooms and delicious food and excellent service. - This is my 2nd visit here and I just have to mention that a bright and shiny light both trips was Yasmin at the breakfast restaurant. Thank you Yasmin! We stayed in one of the new rooms and it was lovely. High ceilings and roomy with an outdoor seating area with a fantastic view! We loved our stay here, Salt and Stone, the on premise restaurant was wonderful…delicious food (the wood fired grilled lamb chops were amazing), excellent service, and a mariachi band serenade. Special thanks to Yasmin and massage therapists Lilliana and Julie and Martin who brought us cocktails and tacos on the beach — We have food allergies and he was very careful to ensure we were safe. All service superstars! We will return!
- 17miltonl (2/5): Quick Stay At The Westin Cancun Gone Wrong - Will Never Stay Again - Quick trip to Cancun with the worst customer service ever.
I arrived late to the property and was told I was upgraded because of my platinum frequent traveler status. When I got to the room, I noticed that there was dirt all over the bathroom floor. I walked down to the front desk to report the issue, I was told someone would be up shortly to come clean and inspect the room. An hour goes pass and I fall asleep. The next morning, I go to report it again, this time to the front deck manager. Again the problem is not rectified. As someone that travels to Cancun I would not stay nor would I recommend anyone stay at this property.
My issue is not that the room was not properly cleaned, it was the lack of response nor the managements discretion to offer an alternate solution.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Hotel is on the quiet side - which is totally welcomed! Rooms are clean and updated - restaurants on the property are great as well as the service! All employees are polite and respectful as well as being friendly. Have stayed here a half dozen times in the last two years- and will come back again and again!
- Andrea Darling de (8/5): - Great properrty in many respects. At the very end of the hotel zone. Water was choppy at the beach but many pools to choose from. Only drawback was the showers took forever to heat up and the water pressure was super low. Everything else was great!
- P9883EXmandym (2/5): Terrible experience - Disappointing Experience at The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancun
I was really looking forward to my stay at The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancun, but my experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering this was my fifth time staying here.
Upon arrival, I was told my room was not ready, despite checking in on time at 4 PM. I was forced to wait 40 minutes past my check-in time, which was incredibly inconvenient after a long trip. To make matters worse, the hotel attempted to downgrade me to a lesser-value room without a view, even though I had booked and paid for a specific room. I had to insist to get what I originally reserved, which was unacceptable.
The worst part was the poor customer service from the front desk staff, particularly Julio. Instead of being helpful or apologetic, he was dismissive and did not seem to care about my concerns. This lack of professionalism made the situation even more frustrating.
When I finally got into my assigned room—5th floor, room 2502—it smelled like fresh paint, making it uncomfortable to stay in. This was another disappointment, as I expected a clean and pleasant environment, not a room with lingering chemical fumes.
To make matters even worse, my fiancé was taken advantage of by Vicente, the pool drink attendant. Since she does not speak Spanish, he overcharged her and did not provide a receipt for the three drinks she ordered. However, when I arrived and confronted him, he suddenly changed his attitude, produced a receipt, and acted nervous, confirming my fiancé’s suspicions. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, and it raises serious concerns about how the hotel treats its guests—especially those who may not speak the local language fluently.
Eventually, the hotel provided us with room 2218, which was a clean room with a view. However, the person who actually helped us get a better room wasn’t the front desk staff—but the bell boy! Out of all people, he was the one who proactively assisted us, showing more care than anyone at the front desk. He even asked if we had dinner reservations and offered to make recommendations and bookings for us. When I told him we had reservations at Rosa Negra, he quickly mentioned that if we said we were staying at The Westin, we would receive a 10% discount.
It’s incredibly disappointing that no one else at the hotel inquired about our needs, offered helpful advice, or even attempted to provide good customer service. The fact that it had to come from the bell boy, rather than management or front desk staff, speaks volumes about the overall lack of care at this hotel.
For a hotel of this reputation, I expected better service, a smooth check-in, and respect for my booking. Instead, I dealt with delays, attempted downgrades, dismissive staff, an unpleasant room, and dishonesty from hotel employees. While one employee stood out for his kindness, it was not enough to salvage the experience. Waiting 40 minutes past check-in, being treated poorly by staff, and dealing with dishonesty made this stay not worth it.
I’ve stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancun four previous times, and after this experience, I can confidently say I will never return. It’s sad to see how a once great hotel can fall short of its standards. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. Spend your money elsewhere where your time and business are valued.
- Olaf (10/5): - We loved the situation ( safe and on the quieter side of the hotel zone).
We had also 3 great excursion organised and everything went smoothly.
Food was good and safe even though the prices are at Canadian levels.
We had a room facing the laguna: even quieter ajd with gorgeous sunsets. We recommend this hotel for couples and families looking for a not too fancy but relaxing vacation.
- P9611YZkellyp (8/5): 3 days at the Westin - This hotel was better than I expected, after reading some bad reviews. If you want luxury, this is not the place. The rooms could use a renovation. But, our room, which had a great balcony overlooking the lagoon, was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, the mattress was perfect, and there were great pillows/bedding. Room was clean, in a peaceful area, and plenty of hot water. Maid service was good as well. Water replenished- two bottles of water each day. We did not eat breakfast at the restaurant but did get pastries and coffee at the Starbucks in the hotel convenience store. Lots of chairs by the pool and beach, just get there by 9AM. Bartenders and food service by the beach were all good. Enjoyed the fish tacos at lunch.
Very easy to catch the bus or uber to La Isla for shopping and restaurants.
There is not much of a beach at the hotel, due to erosion, but if you walk south for 5 min you’ll be at the very swimmable Club Med beach.
We did not attend any timeshare sales pitch and were not pressured.
Staff members were very friendly. For the money we would definitely go back.
- brenthA1468GF (2/5): Disgusting hotel, do not stay here! - Probably the best place to avoid, this is a timeshare property and they will follow you to the toilet with just listen I will give you 40000 points or a.nice room.
I booked 2 nights on points, I am an Ambassador elite, what do you get for status nothing and a room that is awful.
Room was in a section that had worker areas all around and no chance of any upgrade.
They make you check out at 10:00AM and no extra minute for any status.
Restaurants are dirty like most of the hotel and you would find motel 6 as a better place to stay.
Do not stay at this property, it is disgusting and they should be ashamed, Marriott should remove them from the system.
This was my worst stay ever, and I’m at hotels 200 nights a year.
The manager of this property should be ashamed and dismissed from the industry.
- L7306NYmikew (10/5): A more casual quiet Cancun resort with all the fun and amenities when you are done with quiet. - We have always stayed at the Westin Lagunamar in Cancun and we decided to give the other Westin property a try. They are conducting some nice renovations which is pretty normal for a Cancun resort, so take that into account. The upside is more villas in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities staff who had a steady series of fun activities and events for us each and every day. Hats off to Alberto's staff especially Guillermo, Genaro, Adi and our favorite poolside food and drink provider, Fernando! The property is a little more quiet and casual but offers numerous pools and great access to the lagoon side to find some quiet and privacy. Give it a try!
- Jose (10/5): - The property served it’s purpose as we were traveling with family and infant children. The grounds were very clean & tidy and the staff was very friendly & very helpful. Will definitely stay here again when traveling with family.
- Savannah (8/5): - We booked the 2 bedroom villa, it was beautiful and the pictures matched. At check in, they said we could get bottled water any time and it was free, but it actually isn’t and you only get 2 complimentary bottles a day.. even if there are 4 people in your room.. the pools were great and well maintained. Swimming in the sea was a highlight. I also appreciated having a personal concierge for assistance with reservations and recommendations for what to do and where to go. To be noted, if you’re staying in Cancun, go eat at Navios! It was the best restaurant we ate at while there.
- Margaret (10/5): - A great place to stay!
- Escape52418195395 (2/5): GREETED WITH TERRIBLE RUDENESS - My stay at the Westin Resort and Spa in Cancun was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish. Where do I even begin?
Upon returning to my room, I discovered that housekeeping had somehow managed to destroy my reading glasses, which were in a hard case. Rather than be honest and apologize, the staff tried to hide the fact that this happened by placing the broken pieces and lens back in the case, after clearly having dropped it on the floor, opening the case by accident and somehow stepping on or destroying the glasses- and despite my complaints, the management was dismissive and denied any responsibility.
The resort's old (!) structural integrity left much to be desired. Despite being on the fourth floor, my room and the entire floor were flooded 6 inches of water during 24 hours of hurricane weather. The outdated infrastructure is misrepresented as a modern spa resort and clearly unable to handle basic weather conditions.
In addition to the flooding, the toilet in my room barely functioned. Even after multiple flushes, waste would resurface by the next morning. This is simply unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone a purported spa resort.
The culinary experience was equally disappointing! The food was of poor quality, overpriced even by local standards, and absolutely repulsive. To make matters worse, the waitstaff were aggressively focused on soliciting tips, to the point where their intrusive behavior overshadowed any semblance of genuine service. During dinner with a friend who had already eaten elsewhere, we were harassed because she hadn't ordered anything and the waiter kept pressuring me awkwardly about whether or not she would dine as well.
Adding insult to injury, the staff incessantly badgered me about attending a timeshare presentation throughout my stay. It's absurd that a supposedly relaxing spa resort would prioritize pushing timeshares onto its guests rather than providing a peaceful environment. They would stop me in the lobby and call me on my cell to offer me $150 + 2 free breakfasts to attend the sales presentation in the morning. When I declined, instead of leaving me alone, they came at me more aggressively and offered more money, lol!
Lines of mini ants crawled along my window since the start, and despite reporting it, no assistance was offered. The thin walls provided zero privacy from neighboring rooms, which is inexcusable for a property claiming to be a spa resort. Lot of doors slamming incessantly.
To cap off this disastrous experience, a waiter accidentally struck me in the face with a tray. While their on-site doctor recommended 2 prescription creams, the hotel refused to assist me in obtaining them, even though the nearest pharmacy was miles away and I had no means of transportation. The manager of the restaurant (Very unpleasant) alledged he could only get me what the hotel sold in their mini store, and handed me a diaper rash cream..
In fairness, the views were nice (expected turquoise water). The location itself was remote and far from amenities. During checkout, they even attempted to charge me for a spa treatment I never received (20 min of time while I had a flight to catch).
If you choose to stay here, prepare to be treated like an ATM. The staff seem to view guests solely as targets for timeshare sales, tip extraction, and inflated billing for services you never requested or received. Save yourself the trouble and find a resort that values its guests' comfort and well-being.
- tracie (10/5): - We stayed in one of the villas. Very clean and well kept. They accommodated us during Hurricane Befyl and we frigate and they kept the services running. Lovely establishment.
- Varun (10/5): - It was nice and safe.
- F8804CFmichaelm (6/5): Works for families - Room in need some updates for sure. However, I have seen much worse. Thankfully I saw no evidence of bugs as previous reviews mentioned or that would have been a deal breaker for me. We had a three bedroom and had a beautiful view of ocean/pool. All staff were great. Beds were acceptable comfy. Kitchenette was very handy as a family of 5 would be extremely expensive otherwise. Sea and Sands restaurant was great. Great service and slightly overpriced as expected. Would recommend one night there . Palmer market mini market was super expensive with Ben and Jerry’s pint at over $16!
Not flexible with checkout time at all. Be aware, “Titanium elite member for life” and brought no benefits. I think they gave me a few hundred points on check-in. And of course they try and over-push the time share. If you Bonvoy member, and not with a family, I would recommend another Marriott property. This worked for me this trip.
- DANIEL (6/5): - The hotel is very old and lacks maintenance. Staff was ok with a few exceptions. We asked for a 2 hour late checkout and it was denied when at the same time another couple was asking for the same thing on the counter next to us and it was approved! Their argument was that our room was a suite and therefore it took them longer to clean it!!!!
- Julia (10/5): - Perfect resort
- Sara (10/5): - Las suites están estupendas, limpias y además todo nuevo .
Excelente servicio de recamareras .
- Oswaldo (10/5): - Buen tamaño
- Itzel (10/5): - Amazing room & super friendly staff
- Maricel (10/5): - We had a great week at the hotel.
- Michael (8/5): - It was fine for a couple of days
- Valerie (8/5): - Good hotel. Great beach area. Dining options were ok. Breakfast was best
- marneym2015 (10/5): Great mother daughter senior trip location - The hotel is located on a beautiful quiet part of the beach. We were on a mother daughter trip and had a great time. Plenty of pool space and beach chairs and you are always in view of the ocean.
Highly recommend the spa the attendants are lovely and the massage was great. Lillian was wonderful!
- Billy10023 (2/5): 10AM Checkout!! Horrible management. - 10AM Check-out is absolutely rediculous!! 4PM check. Hotel is a sinking ship. Too many negatives to mention. I do not see this hotel surviving with all the other great options on the strip. This is supposed to be a vacation and fun. Not to mention having to wait around day of departure sitting on bags in lobby all day. Horrible. Run.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A few hundred dollars went missed from our luggage - The hotel was clean, condition was ok. But the service was not good. We had a few hundred dollars in our luggage and it was disappeared. Someone went through our luggage because the money was at the bottom. This never happened to us in other places.
- Daizow (2/5): Cockroaches in the room - The worst stay ever. First, the originally reserved room became unavailable due to continued refurbishment of the building. They offered $50 compensation for the stay, but the difference in the view was worth more than just $50.
The room we were given was a 2 bedroom villa, but full of cockroaches. The drawers in the kitchen/dining space had roaches, the bedroom had roaches on the wall, behind the television. We killed 4 roaches on Christmas Eve, but gave up after seeing more. We left the hotel on Christmas Day, and we couldn’t have been happier.
The building needs to be closed and fumigated.
- L1172MYjosemanuelr (2/5): I can't believe it! - Is it possible that a business such called hotel doesn't give you a key for your paid room? This is my experience here at Westing Cancun! Unbelievable! No ice machine, no elevator, no electricity for a while & very bad client service at front desk
- wenonag245 (10/5): Best Vacation Experience - Hotel is fabulous. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts very good. Arena restaurant and bar was great - delicious taco buffet. Amazing view right on the ocean. Listened to the surf all night - very soothing. Staff standouts included Adi, Paulo and so many others that I can’t remember their names.
- 355odetter (4/5): Bad experience room(2516) on 10/14/2023 - The room was in bad shape look like was under very poor repair . We were told the hotel is going into renovation. But we’re charged full price for a room full damage front door, bad refrigerator, no trash bags in any of the baskets and no cushions on the chairs on the balcony. The location was great but the room was in bad shape should not been rented. We were tired when we arrived & in rush to go to dinner for a DB Dinner. We didn’t see all damage until the morning.
We have photos.
No accommodations offered when we complain.
- Y4680DEkristenh (10/5): Best hotel service I’ve experienced - Best service I’ve experienced at a hotel. Spa was amazing, food was great. Hilario was our concierge and was top notch. He scheduled our dinner reservations and remembered it was my birthday, I was surprised with a birthday dessert from the staff. Very relaxing, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay.
- masonbI3274PU (10/5): Week spent well! - Our trip was incredible! We had never been to this resort before and loved our time here. The service is the best we have experienced! Plenty of space and very quiet. The spa amenities are beautiful and the massages are top notch. We would definitely recommend the resort and come back again!
- Andrew (10/5): - Liked the full kitchen. And nice private beach.
- 749alicjam (2/5): Pathetic and laughable service provided - Extremely disappointed considering the price and what could be expected of such an international brand.
The clients’ satisfaction and enjoyment are probably not even in the Top 50 of manager’s to-do list.
First we arrived to a nice room however the A/C was quite loud compared to other good quality hotels and the towels we got were dirty. On the second day when we arrived to the breakfast we were informed that we cannot get the 3rd breakfast we paid for with booking.com as even though the room was for 3 people the breakfast was only for 2 so instead of asking one of the reception employees to come talk to us we had to go ourselves to the reception just to talk to a person with whom the conversation was impossible as he was over and over repeating the same things that were not even related to what we were saying, then I asked if for all the hustle we were put through I could at least get offered a free coffee but the employee just said no. The next day we informed the restaurant staff that we would leave earlier as we were going on a trip and would like to pick up ready breakfast in the morning, to our surprise the day after when we went to pick it up the staff didn’t even bother to check whether the breakfast was included and just asked for an extra payment.
To sum up, I’d say the view from the hotel is nice, the beach part is extremely small considering how big the hotel is, the service provided is laughable at best and overall this poor experience was not worth the money so if you’re considering staying there just go to Marriott or Hilton and save yourself the stress and hustle especially during vacation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A decent hotel with good service - A decent hotel which is well located near the end of the hotel strip, so in a quieter part of the area. Our 2 bed sea view villa was well appointed with great amenities such a dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer. Service is good. We had an issue with the sofa sleeper and the guest relations manager (Johanna) came to see us to discuss the morning after we checked in. We were also provided with a courtesy room for 30 mins between check-out at 10am and departure to catch our flight at 2pm which allowed the children to shower after their swim. Concierge was very helpful in providing info about the local area. Overall, I’d rate this hotel 8/10.
- Erica (2/5): - Mala atención del personal
- Issac c (10/5): - Friendly staff. Comfy beds. Great location
- Tiffany (8/5): - Stayed in a studio villa w/full kitchen. It was very well equipped. The ocean view from the balcony was a joy every day!
Only downside was the food options on property. The Arena sports bar was good for casual dining, but service was very slow. The breakfast buffet was good too. Dinner options were not good. Best to go off property for dinner.
- Cintia (10/5): - Excellent location and service. Beautiful views !!
- Julia (10/5): - Lovely, clean, very well situated! Next time I’ll stay more days!
- Kristina (10/5): - The resort was beautiful. Great pool and beach area. Just wish it was all inclusive as the extras were a bit expensive.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Me gustó el ambiente familiar y el personal amable
- Lorena (10/5): - Todo maravilloso
- Thomas (10/5): - We had an amazing relaxing stay, perfect getaway.
- David (4/5): - Formerly a run-down 80s hotel, Westin put a coat of paint on this building, and raised the prices on rooms, food & amenities to astronomical levels. It doesn't help that tipping culture has gotten out of hand, meaning we paid $120 USD for a modest dinner.
It's not unexpected for Cancun, but our stay prompted me vow to do better when finding a holiday spot.
Despite all this, the staff were friendly, helpful and genuine.
- Judith (6/5): - The facilities were dated and the wave pool was not available. A shuttle should be available to and from the airport.
- Douglas (8/5): - Check in was easy. Unfortunately we asked for a late check out but there’s is at 10am and our flight isn’t until 5:15pm. They said they couldn’t offer the late check out. That’s the only negative. Otherwise staff and place was great!
- Veronica (10/5): - Hotel staff was kind. Property was clean and very quiet. This hotel is at the end of the hotel zone for reference. Public transport does pass in the front which takes you up and down the strip for $1 or 12mxn. Very convenient. They provide beach towels. No need to bring shampoo/conditioner or body wash they have a great high end selection. Also, added bonus this hotel does not charge resort fees. Would def recommend this resort.
- Roberta (8/5): - I only spent 1 night but we enjoyed it.
- Juan (10/5): Hotel is great - but vendor outside are aggressive - Ocean front property - excellent breakfast & food in general. Great attention and amenities. Only be careful when you go to the markets outside the hotel - vendors are very aggressive and keep harassing even after you said NO.
- Ziny (10/5): - Great location. Staff was really friendly.
- ç´ å¦? (8/5): - I like the studio it’s very nice
- Christopher (10/5): - Rooms were nice, updated/modern.
- Gerardo (10/5): - Good
- Kevin (8/5): - Awesome customer service, beautiful views, relaxing
- Samantha (6/5): - Everything closed around 10 no swim up bar no wave surfer. All the items it said the hotel had were not availed including the other bar outside.
- Claudia (6/5): - Ubicación.
No hay alimentos servicio a cuarto poco personal .
- Catherine (6/5): - Nothing special
- Juliet (10/5): - Everything’s superb except the shower drain flow is slow that water accumulates on the floor.
- hector (2/5): - it was a nightmare checking was at 4pm and i got my room at 5pm, got to enjoy the beach one hour. check out is 10am so as you are finishing breakfast you have to leave. it is really bad i would recommend other hotels with a more decent checkout time.
- Chiquita (10/5): - Property was really nice. Rooms were nice.
