It’s close to local community .Hotel room is large and comfortable to stay, we were very enjoy the service included the breakfast which having multiple choice. Anyhow, I will recommend people who have economic concerns but wish to have a nice trip.
- Subhash (10/5): District 10 Hotel Hanz Sunflower - The staff were very helpful and accommodating. However, only 1 lady who could speak English stood out, which made my stay very exciting, as I struggled to get through to other non-English staff. Highly recommended for stay.......very near to the airport. 20 minutes taxi ride. The hotel is better known as Kha Ch San-Hoa Huong Duong-next to Khach San Vuon Saigon Hotel-which is their sister hotel.
- 683josephine (8/5): A better hotel in Le Hong Phong street - The hotel's name is Hoa Huong Duong in Vietnamese. There are many hotels along Le Hong Phong street. The hotel is close to Queen Plaza Ky Hoa and opposite to Đông Hồ Eden wedding mall. Many restaurants are in walking distance. The hotel is an upscale one there. The VIP room is equipped with a king double bed, a bathroom with a bathtub,& a tiny balcony. The windows can be opened. Street noises is not annoying. The city view is the back of Son Mi hotel and home roofs. The basement garage is shabby. Free parking is fine. Sunflower Saigon Hotel is the sister hotel of Sai Gon Vuon Hotel. They have both entries from each wing. The breakfast is provided by Sai Gon Vuon Hotel. It catered to Chinese and Western guests. The hotels are senior and well known for people there. The room rates are flat 800k, 1,000k, and 1,200k VND, including breakfasts and fees.
- Uijeongbu (10/5): twin hotel - Sunflower Saigon hotel is at the same location connecting with Saigon Garden hotel. They shared garages and restaurants. Guests can go from the Le Hong Phong street to the 781 crescent road. It's an old hotel. The previous glory memory was still there. Rooms are basic. VIP room has a balcony and windows. The balcony is not accessible. The hotel is guest friendly. A walking distance is to the Su Van Hanh road with shops. The breakfasts are enough for Chinese and Western.
- iamlaszloM (8/5): Really great place to stay. - We stayed there 4 nights, and we dont regret it. Rooms are decent, few details to be correct: Hot water isn't really hot everytime, sun wake you up at 6AM considering the bad drapes, cleaning service should be done before 2PM (but not the biggest problem and happened only 1 time so don't worry), drapes shower looks to cheap too (It would really make the bathroom excellent). Few details make perfection! The staff is very friendly and will make your stay really comfortable (booking, room service, must see around..) But for god sakes, please change your coffee, it's a disaster, it tastes like petrol (I think even petrol is better than "this"). The Wifi needs an upgrade too, you can't decently use the internet before 10PM.
- Travelin_Fuel (8/5): Decent hotel in District 10 - This hotel is in District 10 located on Le Hong Phong. (There is a hotel with same name in District 1 - so ignore any reviews that mention District 1). I was staying one night only - and the fact that this hotel was closer to airport was a major factor in selecting. I booked the suite and it was very spacious and the hotel photos do the suite justice. Bathroom was quite big with a rainfall shower head. Room wifi was good. I cannot comment on the other rooms. Hotel reception was very easy. I appreciated that English was spoken. The overnight hotel clerk was very helpful too - and he spoke perfect English and helped arrange for a taxi at 4 AM to the airport. Given my early departure - I did not get to sample the restaurant. District 10 is the real HCMC - and lots of good restaurants - and few tourists. Modern shopping mall within walking distance too. Was easy to flag a taxi if needed. Only minor complaint was that hotel is a smoking hotel and there was a faint ciggy aroma in the room.
- Caseymhart_arc (8/5): Great location & Clean Interiors - The location of this hotel in district 1 is the selling point. It's a quick 5 minute walk to the Ben Thanh market, which is fun day or night and there are many food and restaurant options close by. The hotel staff were all nice. The room was very clean and looked recently renovated. Many English tv channels offered but the wifi wasn't great. The breakfast was mediocre if not on the below average side.
- 422stephanieh422 (10/5): Excellent - Superbly clean and bright. Our rooms (we always get 2) are beautifully decorated, clean and tidy. The lighting is perfect, free wi-fi no issues. Bathroom is small yet modern and grand with very good lighting; it is better than other hotels i've been to in HCMC & Vietnam that are 4 stars. One standout is the beds - compared to other 3 star hotels, SSH have very comfortable, soft beds instead of those rock hard mattresses. Very good value for the price! Air con works perfectly. Wifi works perfectly. Plasma TV, fridge/freezer, kettle, safe all supplied. They even supply iPhone speakers. Cheap laundry with no hassles, they provide a basket for you to place worn clothes which they pick up and wash during cleanup. Price includes breakfast too however I wouldn't recommend it as it is not very varied and below average for Vietnamese food. There is good service at the reception, and the bellperson at the front are prompt at calling you a taxi when needed.
- Gostan (8/5): Good value - In District 10, away from the centre of HCMC (District 1), but taxis plentiful and fare not more than USD 1-2. Surrounding streets not tourist oriented, but not unfriendly either (many local restaurants nearby). No safe in the standard room I booked, and the kettle was a bit grimy, probably because it had not been used much. Otherwise no complaints - 1) friendly, competent, efficient, helpful staff (good English at Reception), 2) modern, clean, well equipped, well maintained bedroom and bathroom, 3) nice meals at the restaurant (breakfast included), with a local emphasis, 4) free wi-fi - no problem, 5) cheap problem-free laundry service. The clientele was mainly local folk, very few foreigners when I was there. Would definitely head back to Sunflower Saigon Hotel unless I could find the same thing at the same price in District 1.
