Guest Reviews
- Mutsa (7/5): -
- Lucia (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (8/5): Lovely lovely hosts!!! - Nice kitchen area & big main bedroom
- Lewis (8/5): Very good - Great location and had everything we needed for a short stay. Mrs Wilson was very helpful and I was able to request how many beds we needed in advance. The flat generally needs some work and a few things need fixing (e.g shower head is broken) but for a short stay it’s not a problem.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Ricardo (10/5): Was so warm as the host welcome us and left the heater on! Tube and Westminster in a short walk -
- Ivana (10/5): Central apartment, warm and tidy - Highly recommended for those who want to spend one or more nights in central London.
The location is quite central.
The old building look nice, also I liked the comfort of the apartment. Warm and tidy rooms.
The checkin was very simple, the nice and smiling lady welcome me.
The owner, Mr Hugh is very helpful and friendly.
Thank you
- Lorraine (8/5): Great location, lovely keyholder and comfy bed! - Jenny (lady in Flat 2) was lovely, very accommodating about letting us leave our bags earlier than check in and later than check out. Good communication from the host too prior to arrival via email/text. Beds were comfortable and location was excellent. One of the shower heads seemed to be a bit broken and the bath panel looked like it had seen better days.
- Ricardo (4/5): Acceptable place that needs some improvements. - The building was well localized, near the big ben Tower, pretty easy and safe to get in and out. The apartament wasn't that clean. Even stains on the bed sheets were seen. There was a lot of dust on the apartament, near the bed and the kitchen.
We found wet towels inside the washing machine. The dryer was filled with dirty sheets and towels, we even needed to ask for cleaned towels.
We didnt have enough kitchen items to use, as forks, knifes and spoons (2 of each max...).
- Elspeth (9/5): Superb - The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the Victoria and Northern Lines. We walked easily to Westminster along the river. A decent supermarket a few hundred metres away. Hugh was easy to communicate with. Jenny downstairs is wonderful and very kind to our children. Kitchen doesn't have cutlery or cooking utensils, which made it difficult to prepare and eat meals.
- Meli (7/5): Good -
- Leigh (6/5): Sadly dissapointed - Jenny at number 2 who gave us the keys was the loveliest lady and it is due to her that I am even giving the rating that I am. WIFI wasn't working. This was reported on the first day and nothing was done about it, therefore we had no WIFI for 6 days. The windows rattled with the wind, and the noise from the traffic was very loud as the windows are single glazed. This went on through the night as the room is above a main road.
- Debbie (6/5): Pleasant - Fantastic location, so handy to Vauxhall Tube station and connections across all of London The flat was great, couldn’t fault it and Mrs Wilson who you collect the keys from was lovely and very helpful. The communal areas though were very tired and shabby and the sofa beds very uncomfortable
- Claire (8/5): Perfect choice for a weekend to get your head down and be able to easily navigate around the capital. - Location was good for transport links. Vauxhall tube station is less than 10 minutes walk away. Jenny, the key lady, is so friendly and welcoming. Flat is a good size even with 4 people. Sadly the beds weren’t the most comfortable and we would have liked more pillows.
- Drwhotraveller (6/5): You get what you pay for. - Liked the location once we managed to find it! It wasn't clean, especially the bathroom. And the beds were very hard.
- Linda (8/5): Good value for money, lovely lady greets you. - We had a key code to get into the garden and main door but a lovely lady at the ground floor flat was there to greet us and give us the keys to flat. Its good to have someone there with local knowledge. The flat is in a old church building. We were so glad as having windows open and thick stone walls made it cool in the heatwave. Also had good glazing so if the windows were shut there was no road noise, not much with them open. Local shop just on the road, Tesco a few minutes walk away as is the Oval and Vauxhall pleasure gardens and tube. We couldn't find the cutlery but it's in a drawer under the pans!
- Dariusz (8/5): Very good - Mrs Wilson was simply awesome and helpful. Easy access to all the transportation options - underground & trains. Well equipped kitchen.
- Sebastian (9/5): Superb - Spacious, well illuminated, not too noisy. The right ammenities. Well connected to the most touristy parts of London. Two flights of stairs to get into the flat. Not a problem most of the time, but on arrival and when leaving you need to carry your suitcases.
- Rafael (3/5): Poor -
- Susan (8/5): A very pleasant at pleasant and well-situated apartment. Mrs Wilson gave us the keys and was - The apartment was self-catering. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equiped. Bed and sofa bed we're comfortable. The location was very good for the outings we had planned. 5 minutes walk to transport - bus, underground, overground trains and taxis. Supermarket and cafes close by. The stair carpet leading to the 1st floor was grubby and not well - presented. There was no information booklet in the apartment. The bath/shower was very deep, so agility was needed to climb into and out of it. A grab rail would provide a degree of safety. The curtain in the bedroom needed to be attached to the railing properly as it dangled down and let the street light shine in.
- Julien (9/5): Superb - The place was clean and very nice! The key keeper was super welcoming and helpful.
Great location in London!
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional - excellent location, comfortable.
- Aguilar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (5/5): Passable -
- Wojciech (9/5): Good price, clean, close to city centre apartment - Nice apartament, clean, close to bus and subway station. Walking to the center was not a problem either. Mrs Wilson(apartament keeper and neighbour from downstairs)is very helpful and super nice person. We had one day issue with heating.
- Billsoxted (8/5): Very good -
- So (6/5): Not as I expect, not good. - It’s spacious and clean. The heating didn’t not work , it’s freezing cold especially at night. It’s so cold that we couldn’t sleep all night long.
Hot water was not hot enough for shower.
The thermostat was not working, no response and indication of temperature.
The TV remote controller is lack of battery, so it didn’t work also.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): we had a very enjoyable stay … and would certainly stay again - it was in a great location near Vauxhall Station … 10 minute walk to Westminster. The apartment had everything we needed, very clean and friendly Mrs Wilson was on hand to help with any questions some may find the apartment at the top of the house which requires climbing up quite a few stairs a problem with cases?
- Jane (8/5): Brilliant well appointed and central flat would stay again - The lady in flat 2 with the key Mrs Howard was amazing she was so helpful and nice. We stayed their to watch the Queen’s funeral procession and it was very central to that. N/A
