• shahin (1/5): - Whatever you do, do NOT book this place. Save yourself from being scammed. I booked three double rooms. Upon arrival, they showed us completely different rooms than the ones displayed on Booking.com. Instead of the rooms we booked, we were shown four single rooms that were extremely dirty and smelled strongly of alcohol and urine. The bathroom was filthy, and there were drunk people walking around the property. When we confronted them and explained that this was absolutely not what we had booked, they told us they had nothing else available and suggested we stay one night and that they would find another hotel for us the next day. We left immediately. I would not even let an animal sleep in those rooms. After we left, they falsely reported to Booking.com that we did not show up and cancelled the reservation themselves. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. This is pure fraud.

• Raquel (5/5): Well located but better for few nights! - Very well located, close to Taksim square and easy to reach nice areas. I think for few nights it's probably fine! Staff was also kind and always available. The bathroom could be better cleaned and maintained, it really didn't look good. There wasn't enough shower gel or shampoo in the room, nor toilet paper so we had to ask at the reception. The room was very small, really hard to walk even for 2 people and also we could hear some noise from the street (we use earplugs but it can be an issue for someone else).

• Abdallah (2/5): Terrible Experience – Not Even Worth 2 Stars - Close to Istiklal Street/Shishane I don’t understand how Destinia Pera Hotel is rated 4 stars—it wouldn’t even deserve 2. The room was extremely small, very old, and filthy. There was black and green mold on the ceiling and in the toilet area. A horrible smell came from the bathroom that made it impossible to use. I couldn’t even shower for two days because the faucets and shower heads were rusty, broken, and outdated. There was no shower glass or curtain, so water spilled everywhere. The sink was tiny and splashed water all over the place. To make things worse, the place was not cleaned for 3 days even after we asked for that. They only sent someone to fix the broken sink. There was no soap. We asked for extra towels as I had to use the one provided to dry the floor so I could use the bathroom, but none were provided—even after I asked. The condition of the room and bathroom was unacceptable, unsanitary, and completely unworthy of a 4-star rating. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness, comfort, or even basic hygiene.

• MIRIAM CHRISTINA (2/5): - Die Zimmer haben gestunken, es gab für 2 Personen nur 1 Handtuch, der Mülleimer im Badezimmer war nicht geleert, die Bettwäsche war dreckig. Das Zimmer war einfach dreckig.
• Ilka (2/5): - Die Unterkunft ist nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Alles ist dreckig, kaputt und sehr hellhörig. Die Unterkunft ist sehr heruntergekommen. Nicht buchen!! Weiterhin wurde bei 5 Nächte nur am vorletzten Tag einmal das Zimmer geputzt und die Handtücher ausgetauscht.

• Sercan (1/5): This property is not at the standards of a 4* property. It was a terrible decision. - Location. The pictures of the property is far from the reality. This property cannot be 4*. The toilets and showers were in terrible condition. The hairdryer was taken from an exposed electric plug in the bathroom. There is no car parking near by so you have to walk at least 10mins with your stuff to the hotel. The only positive thing about the property is the location. However, it was very noisy due to the proximity to the loud environment.

• Susan (1/5): do not book this! - location - that is all the dirtiest, smelliest bathroom I have ever seen -(I was afraid to shower) a window that looked at trash - not down below - literally trash one foot from the window ledge. I know other rooms had windows that faced the street - not mine -sound proof walls is not true - very hard to fall asleep before 2am. I have no memory of staying somewhere worse. does a dirty couch make it a suite? don't bother having a kettle and teabags when there is no cup ?

• Dmitrij (5/5): I would avoid the stay in this hotel - The staff was friendly and helpful, and explained everything clearly and quickly, with no questions at all. Thank you guys! The location of the hotel is good if you like being in the centre of Istanbul and just a couple of steps from Isticlial Street which makes it very good for shopping, nightlife or enjoying the local cuisine and culture. Air conditioning, wifi, everything simply worked. The room itself (Standard King Room number 201) was tiny and in my opinion, would be extremely uncomfortable for two adults due to the lack of space. The bathroom was simply awful and disgusting. It's tiny as well and the renovation is very old. Just take a look at the seams between the tiles that discourage any desire to take a shower in the morning. The shower's hook was broken, and the air ventilation exists but wasn't working. The room has soundproof walls as it is said in the hotel description but you can perfectly hear what's happening in the corridor because the door hasn't. In addition, there is a bar nearby. Soundproofing windows helps solve the problem of loud music but not basses.

• Shmuel (10/5): A clean and nice location in Taksim, Istanbul - Hotellet ligger veldig fint til, rett i nærheten av hovedgaten i Taksim. Betjeningen er veldig hyggelig, og de er ganske fleksible. Rommene er ganske bra, det er relativt god standard og rent.
