- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Why would I stay at the Regency again and again? (I've already stayed the 3 times): : 1. The staff are courteous, friendly, helpful and make you feel like a welcomed and hinted guest 2. The beds are super comfortable 3. The public areas, hotel room and bathrooms are CLEAN 4. The TVs in my 3 student rooms are flat screen and picture perfect 5. The Air Conditioning units in each room were individually controlled, cooled effeciently ( I was also there during a heat wave) 6. The refrigerator and tea kettle/ coffee/ tea are an added feature, c which I made use is during each visit 7. A doorman / porter and reception are 24/7. Also feeling of safety and security and walkable safe neighborhood. 8. Location was perfect... Just a few minutes walk from a rehab clinic, rooftop Cafe, 1 block from a BIM did market, waking distance to the Nile, central Locatin with easy taxi access to cultural and heritage sites, malls, parks and only 20 minutes to Cairo International Airport. Recommendation to management: add hand towels to the bath towels already provided, proved courtesy shampoo to complement the soap., in the room or upon request. A+ on VALUE FOR MONEY.

When I arrived, they did not take me to the room I had booked from the beginning. The elevator is clunky. The room is not good. It is narrow and does not have a balcony like in the picture. - Thiago (7/5): Fair price and good location - The place is well located and close to various touristic points (if you do not mind to walk a little bit). There is an ATM just a few steps from the hotel if you need it. There are restaurants (including Mc Donalds) and cafes nearby. The bathroom of the apartment I stayed in needs some improvements. The shower cubicle is too small (I consider myself thin, 172cm height and 62kg). You do not have enough room to have a proper bath. In addition, the shower cubicle lets the water leak out to the whole bathroom causing the floor to become wet and slippery. I myself almost fell on the floor several times. Besides that, the Hotel is ok, the price is fair for what the facilities can provide you.

They do not clean, they provide internet codes that means you need to call them daily to reconnect.The hotel is old and still need some recostructions like the showers...

Bars of used soap from previous guests. Dirt swept under the bed. I mentioned this in my reservation survey and the hotel management was quick to respond to clean the room and offer a room upgrade. We accepted the cleaning but not the upgrade since we were going to be in late and leaving early in the morning.

They didnt realize we had reserved 2 rooms (mandatory since its illegal to book 2 unmarried people in the same room in Egypt). We waited a short time though and were taken to our rooms. We enjoyed a nice evening out for NYE only to be acosted on our return by the night doorman. We were stopped in the lobby by a 1st door man who though we were going upstairs to the cafe which required a high entry fee, however we were guests, then a few steps away at the elevator, when the lobby attendant realized we were going to our rooms, jumped up and yelled after us very embarassingly to where the entire lobby full of many men stopped and stared at us, accusing us of immoral/Illegal activity, asking my fiance "youre going with her to a room?!". The entire situation was very embarassing to me, especially for a man to assume my actions. He did not know if we were married or not. Instead of politely asking about our reservation, or relationship status, he immediately assumed we were not married and committing something immoral. I returned to the lobby a short while later to address this issue. The staff was placating and gave what felt as a fake apology due to the excuses about "the law" and "you dont speak arabic". The law excuses insulting and poor behavior? The law excuses this man assuming Im immoral? Dirty fridge in room. Wet towels draped on the chairs upon arrival. Just a bad experience.

- KHALED (10/5): Cosy Stay - My stay in the Regency was a wonderful experience ,First the great location of the Hotel away of Cairo down town 7 to 20 minutes driving .The District where the Hotel lies is very classy ,quiet and has lots of facilities such as Banks ,Super Markets ,Restaurants ,Cafes and Pharmacies. That wasnt my first stay in the Hotel ,The staff there are very hospitable has a wonderful smile and ready to do what they can to make their clients happy ,comfortable and cosy.Rooms has all needed facilities from Aircondition,LCD ,Kettles and Super Clean for a reasonable price. Thanks to the Management of the Hotel and the Staff for your care and effort to make your clients feel at home .

- KHALED (10/5): Nice Stay - My stay at Regency Hotel was a wonderful experirnce ,the Hotel location is perfect and close to the downtown by 8 minutes driving and the Staff are very nice and caring and cheerful ,they would bend over backward to make every thing right for me.Hotel rooms are big enough ,clean and has all what a client either Tourist or Business need such as TV,Bath ,Mini bar and aircondition ,plus Kettle for tea and coffee with a complementary water and coffee .I do recommend the stay in this hotel accoriding to my experience around Egypt as a tour guide juxtposed with value of money for this nice location and service .Thanks
