Guest Reviews
- Simon (10/5): - Staff were excellent and the facility fantastic, the coffee shop was both welcoming in the morning for breakfast and to relax later in the day.
- Hannah (8/5): - -
- Meixian (10/5): - very nice stay for my trip in tokyo, highly recommend
- Alice (10/5): - Really convenient location, welcoming and friendly staff, great pyjamas!
- Brandon (10/5): - Friendly and accommodating staff. Bustling but safe area, and close to numerous shrines and food options. 5 minute walk to subway station. Large rooms, & bathroom.
- c (10/5): - Larger than expected room. Very comfortable and super friendly staff. Great location.
- Gregory (10/5): - Akasaka turned out to be the perfect sweetspot to stay for best access to the 'busy' (and more expensive) parts of Tokyo.
OMO3 is just minutes walk to the subway but in a quiet more residential area. Dining options still abundant as its near a metro station and a 7/11 is right across the street.
We were 100% satisfied with this wonderful hotel with a decently-sized room, wonderful cafe for a simple yet delicious breakfast, and friendly, attentive staff.
- Kevin (10/5): - I loved the cafe on the first floor of the hotel! Yummy breakfast and lattes.
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Andrea (10/5): - Beautiful and comfortable hotel in a central part of Tokyo with access to everything. The staff was very helpful, rooms are smaller but with beautiful comfortable beds. There are two subway stations short walk from the hotel and the area is full of restaurants and shops.
- Shelby (10/5): Close to subway - I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was conveniently located near two subway stations so it was very easy to get around. The staff were very nice and helpful.
- Robin (10/5): - Great, clean, modern hotel in a lively location but quiet.
- Cassie (10/5): - Great hotel, decent sized room and good amenities. Located in a convenient neighbourhood connected by several subway lines but not too busy or noisy. Would stay here again.
- Ming Lai (10/5): - Good location and many restaurants, cafe, convenience stores and bars nearby. Not to far to under railway. The room must comfortable. Big bathroom.
- Michael (10/5): - Great location, near transportation and restaurants. Staff were helpful and room was clean. I’d stay there again
- Julia (10/5): - Great location, close to everything-easy to get to busier areas.
- michelinemmm (8/5): Fairly solid for a Hoshino Brand - I previously stayed in Hoshino Tomamu and was fairly impressed with both the service and facilities (rooms were slightly dated) and wanted to try a hotel under the same brand.
Hoshino Akasaka is fairly easy to find and close to a few train lines. You are also surrounded by restaurants and shops ( DQ, Matsumoto Kiyoshi to name a few) that draws lesser crowds because you are not in the main tourist area. If you travel light, airport access is not a problem but I did end up catching a taxi from my hotel to my next location in Ginza ( $27 AUD).
On the pricey side compare to other 3 star hotels ( I also stayed at Henn na Hotel Ginza, Royal Park Canvas Kyoto) but there was also greater attention to detail in both room layout and available amenities. For example, a filtered water dispenser was available in this hotel and not others, free tours in the morning and a variety of filtered coffee to choose from.
Breakfast, if you decide to pre-purchase, is set but there are limited options to choose from.
This hotel promotes self check-ins but there was someone in the lobby to assist.
- Barry (8/5): - The hotel was well situated. Close to everything.
Room was comfortable but quite hot.
Very clean.
Breakfast was good.
Staff were only to happy to help.
- Francesca (10/5): - We had a very good stay at OMO3. It’s a great location, as it is a quieter area of the city with good dining options all around and a station close to the hotel. The twin room was comfortable and clean, and more spacious compared to other hotels we stayed in Japan. We would definitely stay here again!
- Jordan (10/5): - I loved my stay here! The staff was so kind and friendly even though I couldn’t really speak Japanese. It was always kept clean and very close to the station
- Amanda (10/5): - Had an amazing time once there… it was unsettling when I booked the incorrect OMO 3 and could not change but it worked well. It would have been good if the hotel were more understanding as I wanted to cancel only to go to the Asakusa OMO 3
- Masako (10/5): -
- Sebastian (10/5): - Beautiful property. Clean, welcoming, friendly staff. Cafe downstairs. Close to train station. Good price. Amazing!
- KAM MING (10/5):
- Jumbo614 (2/5): THIS HOTEL IS UNSAFE - It was the most terrible hotel that I have ever stayed in! First, after the first day, two bracelets were stolen ( I put them on the tabletop), and I forgot to put them on when I headed out on the first day. When I returned to the hotel room, I realized I couldn't locate them. On the 2nd day, I went down to reception and sought help from them; they could not speak English and just showed me the translation script, which said the cleaning company said they hadn't received any cases about my bracelets and I asked if these were stolen and who would report this case? They only said I had no evidence and could not report it to the police. When I asked why my stuff would get lost and stolen, they didn't explain and refused to call the police for me There was no further follow-up, no apologies, and nothing It was a very horrible hotel, not up to international standards, with a language barrier, not responsible and unsafe! I have been travelling to different cities in Japan; this is the 2nd time accessories got stolen People, do not expect Japan to be safe! I was very disappointed, not because my accessories got stolen, but because of their attitude and handling of this case! I felt so helpless and hopeless!!! I am sure they did not file this case for management review too!
- Hiu Fung (8/5): -
- Teresa (8/5): - The room is relatively small. Couldn’t even open up the suitcase fully
- Debby Daniel (10/5): - Great place and convenient! Lots of food around the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tokyo 1 night stay - Really liked the hotel and the area. It didn’t feel too touristy so would definitely go back.
- Huai Hsuan (10/5): -
- Alicia (10/5): - Perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Or stay in the neighborhood for a more local feel with good bars, restaurants, convinis. Hotel was a decent size, huge bathtub, clean, and had great amenities. Will stay again.
- Gary (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Andrew (10/5): - Excellent staff and location, very pleased with the property.
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- meimei28 (8/5): Great location! Spacious bathroom, small bedroom as expected - I absolutely loved the location in Akasaka. It was within walking distance to two train stations and there were a lot of dining and drinking options nearby. The staff were very kind. While I expected the room to be small because the size is indicated in the Booking app, i was pleasantly surprised that they had a separate toilet and bath, and that the shower/bath area was spacious enough. The cafe downstairs also had very good coffee. I highly recommend for you to stay here if you want something affordable.
- Hilyen (8/5): - Want to start off by saying that I really disliked the layout of the rooms (we had the one with 2 beds). It felt very cramped mainly because it's so narrow and the separation of toilet and bath seemed like a total waste of space. Having the sink outside near the beds is so odd because you can't wash your hands right after using the toilet.
That being said, the staff were incredibly helpful and kind - especially the tour guide who led the free walking tour on the morning on Nov 29, 2024 (sorry didn't catch her name). Having the option of free and paid tours and activities is a huge plus and fosters interactions between tourists. The location of this hotel is amazing because it is sandwiched between two subway stations with mainly lines available. Food in the nearby area is amazing. Our favourite was Kurji for Tonkatsu.
Overall would recommend if you don't mind the strange and inconvenient layout of the rooms.
- Annette (10/5): - Food around the area was amazing
- MING LAI (10/5): - We joined the walking tour which was very fruitful and staff were very helpful and nice. Thank you.
- Anika (8/5): Good hotel - challenging to store luggage - Good hotel in great location in Akasakusa. The hotel is new and clean. Only downside is the layout of the rooms which makes it nearly impossible to store any luggage (and I am not even talking about big suitcases) unless you use the little couch. The room overall is of a good size for Tokyo with a spacious bathroom. Sweet touches like flower rental service and local tours.
- myaku-myaku (8/5): Hoshino Resort” in Akasaka - 3 minutes walk from Exit 10 of Akasaka-mitsuke Station on Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and Ginza Line. Located on Akasaka Hitotsugi Dori where one of Tokyo's five major TV stations, TBS, is located! The hotel is surrounded by attractive restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff is exceptional.
- Andrea (10/5): - This is my second time staying at this property and I can’t recommend it enough. Small rooms but so clean and modern amenities. Lots of dining options around the area and 2 metro stations close by.
- Natalia (10/5): - Walkable and close to special places
- Suk Ling (10/5): - Highly recommend!!
- Pauline Marie (10/5): - We really loved our stay here. It’s in a charming neighborhood where there’s lots of food & some shopping options. Close to the train station too. Very central & close to everything.
Com certeza, me hospedaria novamente.
- Yuki (4/5): - The sink is exactly next to the bed, this design is not good.
- MING WAI (8/5): -
- Fallon (10/5): - Hotel was right in the middle of akasaka and was very close walking distance to a train station. Hotel was small but very comfy and view was very nice.
- YEE YAN RENITA (8/5): - Friendly staff and convenient location though room is a bit small.
- CHARLES (4/5): - Stayed here for 18 night @room#1013 with two beds, Hotel are very conveniently located close to major subway line makes easy access to most of sites, rooms are not clean, toilet leaked and smells bad, we had to close the door of toilet so we can sleep, no response from management about the issue , no shower cap offered, internet freezing up time to time , bad design for the sink location, I would stay at same location on my next visit but choose “B” hotel instead
- Yeung Shan (6/5): - The room was clean. The bathroom was exceptional in the form of a traditional Japanese wet room and a separate toilet. The room itself was very small though. I was travelling alone this time. The size therefore did not bother me much, but the room is absolutely too small for 2 persons.
- P5737TQlisas (10/5): A hotel that really looks after you - Fantastic little hotel in a nice central neighbourhood. I travel light so my little suitcase fit in just fine. An in-house coin operated laundromat is a huge advantage and cuts down on how much gear you have to pack.
For an affordable hotel it had all sorts of little luxuries that made one feel looked after and pampered. The free guided tours of the local area really helped with settling in to the area and seeing some hidden gems.
As a mature woman travelling alone, I highly recommend this hotel and neighbourhood.
- tay (10/5): Good location, cleanliness & service staff - Good location : few mins walk to 2 different subway stations. 7-11, family mart, lawson, yamazaki stores all all over the area. Lots of food around the area.
Cleanliness : clean & comfortable room. Good house keeping.
Service staff : friendly and helpful.
Bonus : you can pick the flowers u like fm lobby to place in your room

- Tsz wa kirsty (6/5): -
- Xin (10/5): - Perfect location and modern room
- Yiu Cho (10/5): - Location, decoration are great
- Hou Ming Joyce (6/5): - Good location& reasonable price
- Hiroyuki (8/5): - Good hotel
- Koki (8/5): -
- Benjamin (10/5): - Great base to explore Tokyo and close to metro stations.
- Jackie Zhou (10/5): - A fantastic new little hotel in a great area. The rooms are smartly designed and spaced, and the staff are warm and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.
- Pui Chu (10/5): - nice place, will come back
- Paul (8/5): Great location - Located in a great spot near restaurants and easy access to metro.
- Alison (10/5): - omo was the best! The pictures do not do this hotel justice. This room was such an amazing spot to come back to after a full day of sightseeing. It’s in a business district, so at night it’s a lot of happy hour and corporate people. There are a ton of restaurants in the area with seven-eleven two doors down and the metro are close by. The staff are so kind and we’re so helpful with our luggage, checking in and out and providing us with extra amenities and even local snacks! There’s also a coffee shop connected to the hotel that was amazing. I would definitely stay here again!
- Kristen (10/5): - Nice
- VICTORIA (10/5): - Lovely place
- Georgiana (8/5): - The hotel entrance is a bit hidden for first time visitors. It is very conveniently located where there are lots of restaurants and close to metro station for easy commute. Check in was quick and the staff were helpful. The room was not big but bright and clean. Good for visitors who just want to have a place to sleep after a long day sightseeing around Tokyo.
- Kristin (8/5): - The only negative was that the room is small and has no storage for clothes or suitcases. There was a small area with 4 hangars. Positives...clean, helpful staff, cafe for breakfast and in a good area for using the subway to get around Tokyo.
- Kang-Mei (10/5): - Very convenient location to access Metro. Lots of restaurants around the area. My only concern is all receptionists are very young and seems less experience answering my questions.
- Patrick (8/5): - Nice clean room, great location, basically everywhere in Tokyo is ~20mins away.
Rooms are a little small, we had two big suitcases and had to pack them away everyday to make space, would stay again though 🙌
- Verified traveler (10/5): Love the hotel - This is a great hotel in a central location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a lot of accommodations available for people who aren’t familiar with the area as well. My only small complaint is the narrowness of the rooms. From what I understand that’s pretty standard for Japanese hotels so I’m not upset about it.
- MC (8/5): - Good location
- MarieHanover (6/5): Location, great! Staff meh. Small rooms, with very little place for luggage. - We stayed five nights this hotel. If all you care about is location, then this might be for you. It's well situated amongst many restaurants and some shops. Our first impression was pretty poor as we arrived at 2:51 pm and were told (kind of rudely) that check in starts at 3 and there's a long line of people ahead of you so you will have to wait (with very little place to wait given the throngs of people waiting to check in). At 3 pm exactly they started the process (it almost felt like we were cattle-that feeling didn't change much during our stay). In fact if you choose this hotel, check in after 4 pm so you won't be frustrated. The rooms are really small-best for those with small bags (we had a large suitcase which was tough). The price was very reasonable but I would not choose to stay here again.
- Lai Yen (10/5): - Hoshino Resort properties are fantastic with staff that offer 5 star service regardless of hotel rating. Very helpful, clean & convenient location
- Ming Ho Philip (10/5): - Modern and chic hotel with very clean rooms and minimal design. Only thing is hotel rooms are small (enough for Tokyo standard) great location and many restaurant options in the area which is great. Close to subway stop akasaka mitsuke (5 min) , which is a place that you can easily travel to other popular areas like Tokyo station, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ginza by subway.
- Lai Ping (8/5): - so comfortable in room and all facilities are in good conditions, nice experience!
- Katie Hoi Ting (4/5): - I requested an extension time for check-out which was granted by front desk. However, the cleaner was not informed properly hence walked into my room while I was changing. This is one of the worst mistakes that a hotel can make. Upon bringing this concern to the staff, I was denied a refund for the extension time and was given cookies as an apology gift. Due to this disappointing experience, I will not be returning as a hotel guest.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay in Akasaka - It was a great stay, good value for money. Friendly service and easy checkin and checkout. No onsen.
- Brainyfamily (8/5): Well located comfortable 3 star hotel - Our group of 6 - family and friends, stayed with Omo3 twice recently. This is a well located, clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are small but provide everything one needs. Air conditioning has an in room control. Guests help themselves to bathroom provisions ie toothbrush at reception. The area has a good selection restaurants, convenience stores and the staff were friendly and professional.
