It was very central and convenient to get to the train Beds and pillows are not the usual fluffy and soft western style we are accustomed to but it was still ok

- Alan (10/5): Great hotel for the family, staff speak English and Spanish - The property is perfectly located walking distance from the Market and other shopping attractions. We loved the focus they have on board games and the game room for the kids. We enjoyed the secret room game they have, it’s like an escape room but instead of trying to escape the room you need to fine a hidden room in the hotel. All the staff at the front deck spoke perfect English and some even spoke Spanish and French, very refreshing compared to other chains where they barely speak any English. The staff was very helpful, after we checked out we realized our daughter left behind her water bottle and Nicolas took care of it by placing it inside a Luggage we left there to be shipped to our next destination. For some reason all the Japanese’s chains including this hotel have no place to put clothes beside some hangars. They should ad some drawers and shelves, they have the space for it. Also the beds were all separate, if it’s a family hotel, they should at least have a queen size bed.

The sleeping arrangements were great , one bed per person. And our common meeting area was dining table with a complete kitchen . Everything was walking distance . The street of the hotel was so busy . It was more expensive than the others we have stayed on .

- Natasha (10/5): A great place for families to stay in Osaka. - The location was great. The staff were fantastic- especially Maria at the front desk. The kids enjoyed the games and drinks by reception. The beds were comfortable and the kids liked the bunkbeds. The luggage transfer system was so handy. Some shelving in the room to put our clothing away in would've been very useful.

- Sarah (9/5): Busy Hotel Good for Families - Easy to find. Lots of fun activities in the hotel for the kids. We each got our own bed. The kitchen space was nice. The tub and bathroom space was a decent size. We were close to Dotonbori and Namba station. We also appreciated that it was on the lower end of our budget for the amount of space we got. While I knew we were getting twin beds for each of us I underestimated how small a twin would be for my 6’3” husband. Things were definitely well loved and a little worn in the main areas but not so much that it felt old or unclean. We were able to hear others in the hallway and surrounding rooms/floors at times. Nothing crazy just notable.

There is an excellent food market right across the street, which was great. The room was equipped with toys and board games, so the kids loved it! - Kailey (8/5): LOVE MIMARU hotels. Namba station area Osaka felt a little chaotic. - This was the second Mimaru we stayed at in Japan and it was great. The staff were so helpful and kind, the rooms were spacious and the bed set up was great for our family. I wish Mimaru hotels were global because I would definitely book again. I personally didn’t love the location of the hotel. It was easy for getting to and from the station but I found the Namba area to be overwhelming, chaotic and loud. We had just come from Kyoto so perhaps I was just not prepared for the energy of Osaka. The area felt a little grungy for Japan and wore on me after a few days and didn’t feel as kid friendly.

Mini full kitchen is very convenient to prepare meals when you don’t feel like dining out. Any of the close convenient stores offer a wide variety of take out food to enjoy immediately or to reheat later. The one thing I personally didn’t care for was the extremely hard beds. My back wasn’t very happy as I constantly had to toss and turn to search for a comfortable position. If you like beds with little cushion then will have no issues.

- Matt (10/5): Highly recommend this spot if you and your family are visiting Osaka. - You can’t go wrong with the MIMARU brand hotels throughout Japan, and Osaka Namba Station did not disappoint. Outstanding staff, clean rooms, a fun environment with tons of board games and even an escape room built into the hotel that our family of 5 really enjoyed. The hotel is in a great location with easy walking to Dotonbori and trains. Highly recommend this spot if you and your family are visiting Osaka. It was great no complaints.

Staff are friendly and available. Mimaru is a decent chain hotel property at a fantastic location. It is good for couples, group of friends or family with kids who will be out and about all day and only return to the property to rest. We have a baby and a young toddler with us, which means being in the property for naps/rests but there is limited option within the property or nearby to entertain them or for parents to take a break. Having a dedicated baby/young toddler play area (soft mats, toys etc.) will be a welcomed addition. We may have also been spoiled by our previous accommodation which had an in-house sento and free flow beer/sour/highball... so the time limited free coffee/soft drinks at Mimaru felt basic.

The living area had a decently large table and 2 sofas to huddle around, a single washer-dryer machine in the apartment, which allowed us to load one round of washing and come back to fresh and dry laundry (as long as the load is not too full)! One of the bathrooms had a bathtub too, which was a great treat for the kids to enjoy their bubble bath. Rooms / apartment were clean, well maintained. The hotel offered a round of complimentary escape room experience, which was a blast for our kids (aged 9,11,12). Walls a bit thin and could hear some noise from kids upstairs.

- Vanessa (9/5): Small boxy room with no view but good walking distance from the main parts of Osaka - Location was good, walking distance to Dotonbori. The service was friendly. The luggage service was great at MIMARU. Games at reception available to hire and free drinks. Laundry was good. The room was pretty small, not much space to put luggage, compared to previous MIMARU locations. The bathroom was also small. The bed was on the ground and not very comfortable. There were games around the hotel but we weren't told about these so didn't play any (different from board game hire). Two lifts to get to the rooms was a bit annoying but ok.
- Matilda (10/5): Osaka fantastic - Great location and helpful staff. Loved the laundry room and gym. Nothing!
- CHENG YU (8/5): - There are plenty of board games to play and a self-service drink bar. There is no washing machine in the room. Self-service laundry is located on the 2nd floor.
