Its location is excellent, especially if you’re attending events at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre — everything is within easy reach. The staff were truly outstanding — professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was another highlight: diverse, high-quality, and a great way to start the day. As you might expect in Hong Kong, the rooms are relatively compact, but so well designed that you don’t really notice the size. Everything is clean, functional, and perfectly organized. For solo travelers, it’s absolutely ideal. I genuinely felt very comfortable during my stay — thank you to the entire team!

• 887royk (10/5): Exceptional service and a heartfelt "welcome back" from Frankie! - Our return stay at AKI Hong Kong was just as wonderful as the first. The entire staff—from the front office crew to the concierge and housekeeping—is incredibly professional, friendly, and always eager to help. However, the true standout of our stay remains Frankie, the Maître d’ at Tangram. We were so delighted that he remembered us from our visit last year! Frankie greets everyone with a genuine smile and has a unique way of making you feel like family rather than just a guest. His service, and that of his team, is consistently exceptional. While the whole AKI team is great, Frankie is definitely our favorite. We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Eric and Marco, who provided exceptional service throughout our stay. We were particularly touched by Eric’s thoughtfulness; he surprised us with a complimentary breakfast as a honeymoon gift from AKI. It was a kind gesture that made our celebration feel even more special. We stayed in the Deluxe Japanese-style room with Tatami. The room design is stunning, featuring a nearly 360-degree panoramic view that is simply breathtaking. While the room size is cozy, the layout is very well-planned; we were impressed that we could still comfortably open two large 28-inch suitcases without obstructing our movement. Sleeping on the Tatami-style bed was a unique and remarkably comfortable experience. However, if I may offer some constructive feedback: for a 5-star establishment, we felt the room amenities were somewhat limited. To future guests, I would personally suggest bringing your own essentials if you prefer specific items, as additional requests may incur a charge. Overall, the hospitality and warmth shown by the staff were the highlights of our trip. Thank you to the team for making our honeymoon so pleasant. We truly appreciate the wonderful service!

L’arredamento é molto minimal, pulito, a noi é piaciuto molto e trasmesso tranquillità! Camera piccola ma super funzionale, bellissima! Consigliamo :) e grazie a Sheryn che ci ha aiutato con il deposito bagagli! Speravamo in un late check out non a pagamento, pagare la metà del prezzo che abbiamo pagato per una notte é un po’ esagerato, considerando anche che tra gli orari di check in e check out non ci sono mai 24 ore.

• Simon (10/5): A beautiful, minimal hotel with friendly staff and a feeling of quiet luxury. - The staff were super friendly and welcoming. From Jeret (sp?) and Shereen at the concierge, Filbert and Christine at reception. They all made us feel like VIP guests, even though we stayed only one night and weren't typical business travellers. Filbert chatted with us about our onward trip to New Zealand and Japan and gave us personal restaurant recommendations in the area. Christine helped us with planning our trip to the airport. Paul, the morning concierge, booked us a taxi that accepts card payments because we didn't have any HK dollars. The whole team were wonderful, and we wished we could stay longer. The hotel itself was beautiful and minimal, with a Japanese vibe, from the Zen garden to the fancy toilet seats. The room was small, but well laid out with a smart design employing sliding panels that opened or closed the bathroom, wardrobe and refreshment facilities. The lighting in the room had several settings that helped us manage our jet lag, as well as true blackout blinds that allowed us to sleep deeply and comfortably. We made full use of the room during our short stay, enjoying the complimentary tea and coffee around our exploration of the local area. The bed was luxurious! For us, AKI Hotel was the highlight of our trip, as we will be staying in Airbnbs for the rest of our adventures. My wife wants me to add that Filbert and Christine were the most fantastic reception team (Chrinstine is the manager). We felt like guests at a 5-star resort. Thoughtful, attentive and caring to our needs in a genuine way. We were taken down to our taxi, in person, by Christine and waved off. It was the most beautiful experience and one we will never forget. Thank you AKI team, and especially to Christine! The breakfast was the only letdown of the experience. It felt rushed; the flow was wrong, the food a little underwhelming. The staff were pleasant, but there seemed to be an underlying stress. We didn't feel the price (not included in our room rate) reflected the quality of the breakfast. It was a fine breakfast if it was included, but I wouldn't pay for it a second time.

Super comfortable bed, lovely shower and nice quality amenities (only shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and hand wash in an effort to cut down on single use plastic waste). The room I booked was pretty small, as I was on my own this wasn’t really an issue but I had 2x 25kg suitcases with me which took up the already limited space. That said, it’s great for a quick stay, or if you’re not going to spend lots of time in the room. Price is also a little on the expensive side for the size of the room. Small desk with stool but not ideal for working from the room.

• Anastasia (7/5): - The room service, the staff and breakfast were great. The size of the room is incredibly small. I had never stayed in the room of such size. And I couldn't imagine that in the 5 star hotel.
• Erica (10/5): - AKI is a beautifully designed hotel with a quiet, calming atmosphere that feels like a true retreat within the city. The interiors are elegant and minimal, the rooms are thoughtfully laid out, and everything feels intentional and refined. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the overall experience felt seamless from start to finish. A wonderful place to stay in Hong Kong — we would happily return. Paul at the front desk was particuarly wonderful, thank you Paul!

• Beatrice (9/5): Great location and room - Great location, very clean, friendly staff Not an issue for me personally since I was alone, but the rooms are tight spacewise, which I believe is normal for Hong Kong, however the rooms are designed very efficiently
