- Simon (8/5): We stayed early in the season so a few post winter maintenance issues hadn’t been 100% completed. But you could see they - Excellent space, great views close to the Tram. Breakfast was excellent. The stairs are a bit step to get to the entrance with luggage. The staff happily assisted us when leaving. Get the taxi to drop you off at the top of the stairs not the bottom like we did.

- Stefan (8/5): A lot of stairs, but the location and view are well worth it if you're able. - The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view of the Bosphorus was spectacular. Yes, the hotel is only accessible up many steps, but if this is not an issue, I think that it is worth it to enjoy the view, so a room with a sea view is highly recommended. The staff were very helpful and attentive in mitigating this by carrying our luggage and offering water amd refreshment whenever we would re-enter the hotel. The location is also close to Taksim and the T1 tram line and the ferry port so it was very convenient for getting around. The breakfast was mediocre, which would have been disappointing if we were eating breakfast there every morning. However, the neighbourhood has a lot of great cafés to enjoy an excellent Turkish breakfast as well as mamy other options, which I would recommend to include in your experience, so this wasn't a huge problem for us. I would advise to book a room with a sea view, as this made all the difference. Without it, all of the steps up to the hotel entrance would just be a pain.

- Carmina Burana 2 (7/5): Hotel Lage und Ausblick spitzenmäßig. Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sauberkeit und Service tbi - Die Lage ist phänomenal. Der Blick auf den Bosporus ist unschlagbar. Zu Fuß kann man in die wichtigsten Viertel gelangen. Einfach spitze. Frühstück ok. Sauberkeit lies etwas zu wünschen übrig. Wir mussten erst mal die Sonnenliegen und den Whirl-Pool reinigen und die Bettlaken austauschen lassen, da fleckig.

Man ist nicht in einem anonymen Ketten-Hotel, sondern merkt, dass man in Istanbul ist. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit.

On arrival, the reception upgraded our room to one with a beautiful Bosphorus view. Great location as well close to subway, boats, bus and tram, we really enjoyed our stay!

- Michaela (8/5): Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man etwas kleineres sucht. - Lage ist super, es ist ein kleines, feines persönliches Hotel. Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr hilfsbereit. Frühstück ist nicht so ausschweifend wie in großen Hotelketten, trotzdem sehr lecker und total ausreichend. Die Treppen zum Hotel haben uns nicht gestört An der einen oder anderen Stelle könnten Renovierungen das Gesamtbild verbessern.

- Sandra (7/5): Tolles Haus- tolle Mitarbeiter, aber leider schon etwas baufällig! - Leider ist das Hotel wirklich “in die Jahre gekommen” - ich war vor 2 Jahren schon mal dort und konnte jetzt nicht erkennen, dass hier etwas “zur Erhaltung” unternommen wurde. Die Fenster sind nicht dicht, es zieht extrem rein. Im Badezimmer fallen Haken von den Wänden, viel Silikon wurde verarbeitet, zum Teil ist schon Schimmel zu sehen. Alles in allem “ etwas traurig”.

Short distances to the metro and tram, as well as to some sights. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good, but not very varied. The room was very large and satisfactorily equipped. The pictures promise more than you can expect. The cleanliness of the floors could be improved.

- hasti (8/5): If I am backpacking to Istanbul. I would go back for the view and kind staff - This hotel has fantastic view of Bosphorus, specifically in third floor, panoramic. Staff Yashem, Ghodrat and other gentlemen I forgot the name were fantastic. Kind, helpful and attentive. It has about 200 steps in front of it so taking your luggage is an unforgettable experience however the staff gladly moved all our 6 luggages 100 steps up and down but still I felt so bad.

- Nikolas (7/5): Ein Hotel welches aufgrund der Einschränkungen ausschließlich für fitte und treppensteigen Personen geeignet ist. Dadurc - Trotz der Suche nach Staub, Dreck oder sonstigen ekligen Sachen blieb ich erfolglos. Die Matratze in Zimmer 204 war für mich angenehm hart und hatte keine Schlafkuhle. Das Personal war immer und zu jederzeit hilfsbereit, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist zentral und ideal für sightseeing. Die Lage ist grottig und nicht für Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität geeignet: Das Hotel ist mit einem Fahrzeug nicht direkt erreichbar. Man muss eine sehr steile und ziemlich unsichere Treppe hoch, oder herunter gehen um zum Hotel zu gelangen. Entsprechend ist es sehr lustig wenn man Koffer hat und diese wie ein Packesel zum Hotel schleppen muss. Das Hotel ist auch etwas älter und die gemachten Renovierungen sind auch insgesamt schön aber von schlechter Qualität. Das äußert sich wie folgt: nicht verputztes Loch bei der Klimaanlage. Der Bodenbelag (Laminatboden) ist z.T. Nicht bündig abgeschlossen bzw. es fehlen die Sockelleisten und man sieht somit offen die Schnittkanten vom verlegten Laminat. Türzargen hängen auf einer Seite in der Luft, die andere ist bündig. Die Armaturen im Bad wackeln und werden gefühlt nur durch die Wasserinstallation fixiert. Lichtschalter vom Schminkspiegel hängt nur an zwei Leitungen frei in der Luft da dass Klebetape anscheinend nicht bezahlt wurde und in den Streik getreten ist. Es ließ sich nur ein Fenster hochschieben und blieb an der Position wo man losgelassen hatte, manche Fenster gingen gar nicht auf bzw. die Fenster gingen immer zu. Die Aussicht auf den Bosporus wurde zum Zeitpunkt des Aufenthaltes durch eine risige Bauruine beeinträchtigt welche sich dann leider auch als Baustelle herausstellte. Aber laut war diese nicht, im Gegensatz zu den drei Muezzine welche sich morgendlich (vor Sonnenaufgang) die Ehre gaben…ist halt so in einem muslimischen Land.
- Axel (8/5): Hotel bien placé avec bon rapport pratique, prix, qualité - Le personnel, le batiment a du charme, mais la localisation est un peu déstabilisante au début (dans un escalier entre deux rues) puis devient agréable à l'usage, est calme (on reste à Istambule). Les terrasses sont top en été (on a voyagé en janvier donc l'hotel était un peu au ralentit). Tout se fait entre 10 et 20 min à pied et le T1 en bas de l'escalier permet d'aller vers les attractions touristiques très vite. Je mets rarement des commentaires mais l'hotel est un bon rapport pratique, prix, qualité. Je conseil cependant de prendre les chambres en hauteur avec vue : 30X. L'hotel est un peu à rafraichir (tout à 4/5 saisons) et aux standards turques (une clim qui traverse un escalier, un ascenseur sans porte intérieur, des ....) mais il faut regarder ce qui va bien et qui est 95% de l'hotel. Un équivalent de 3 étoiles français. Les sorties bateaux et restaurants conseillés étaient moyens (mais rien ne m'a été survendu par le réceptionniste). Le quartier est enfin en pleine restructuration (pas forcément de travaux mais des immeubles oubliés et d'autres modernes). Si difficulté de marcher : à éviter.
