• Simon (7/5): A fair deal for the last minute deal that I found. The staff are outstanding. - The main hotel staff are absolutely outstanding, Han, the receptionist, has a natural way with people and gets things done very well. The waitress Saneyer was absolutely marvellous. The location is good, with views of the Golden Horn and good public transport to key sights etc. The breakfast was frugal (cereal, eggs, bread, olives, cheese etc), but matched the the price (nothing is free). I could smell cigarette smoke drifting into my non-smoking room. The view from the breakfast room was second to none. I loved the views, which made the deal just right for me. The breakfast was frugal.

• Ahmed (7/5): Good hotel with excellent roof top restaurant - The staff is 10/10 The view from top roof restaurant is 10/10 Breakfast is 6/10 Up normal noise sounds like falling heavy things or closing door harshly, repeatedly!, mainly at night and sometimes after midnight!, I couldn't sleep well. They promised to resolve this issue, you need to confirm before you reserve here.

Resepsiyonda en neşeli ve yardımcı olan Han beni karşıladı, bana çok konforlu bir oda ayarladı. Bu yüzden ona çok teşekkür ederim. Her gün temizlik yapılıyor, çarşaflar ve havlular da değiştiriliyor. Çalışanlar kibar ve İngilizce konuşuyor. Restoranda bir çalışan Rusça biliyor. Yakınlarında güzel, ilgi çekici ve turistik Balat bölgesi var. Tek başıma geziyordum ve her şeyle çok memnun kaldım. Tekrar çalışanların tamamına çok teşekkür ederim. Han’la arkadaş olduk ve iletişimimize devam ettik. Her şey en güzeldir!

• Stefania (10/5): A fantastic, magical stay. We'll never forget the stunning views of The Golden Horn and Istanbul. - We had a fantastic stay. The best thing was the magical view across the Golden Horn and the skyline of Istanbul from both our room and the rooftop restaurant. The room was clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Sonya in the restaurant at breakfast and Han on reception. We liked the breakfast which was a nice mix of Turkish and European. We also loved the location, just two minutes walk from the Fener tram stop on the T5 line and five minutes walk from the Fener ferry terminal. We'll definitely be coming back! A few more clothes hangers would have been useful.

• Jana (8/5): Super Lage - Wir waren extrem happy mit der Lage des Hotels! Das war wirklich die Beste Lage, die wir uns hätten vorstellen können. Ein super belebtes Viertel mit tollen Cafés und Restaurants nur wenige Minuten fussläufig und dennoch liegt das Hotel ziemlich idyllisch und ruhig, direkt am Wasser. Das Personal war top und extrem aufmerksam. Es war ein sehr freundlicher und vertrauter Kontakt. Das Hotel ist klein und hat dadurch einen sehr persönlichen Vibe. Die Dachterrasse ist großartig!

• Hazal Zeynep (10/5): Wenn Istanbul, dann nur noch in diesem Hotel! - Man muss hier wirklich die tollen mitarbeitenden hervorheben, einfach klasse Menschen, die diesen schönen Ort noch schöner gemacht haben. Die Zimmer sind gepflegt, die Betten waren für mich sehr bequem und manche Zimmer bieten einen schönen Blick auf das goldene Horn. Wer kein Zimmer mit diesem blick bekommen hat, kann sich aber auf der wunderschönen dachterasse über ein beeindruckendes Panorama über Istanbul freuen. Diese dachterasse bietet ab 17 Uhr auch feinste Speisen und Getränke an. Unbedingt ausprobieren! Das Frühstücksbuffet findet auch oben auf der dachterasse statt. Die Anbindung an öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist optimal. Quer über die Straße befindet sich die Haltestelle Fener, von der aus man in 7 -10 Minuten an der Haltestelle Eminönü und der galatabrücke ist. Auch das umliegende Viertel Balat ist wunderschön anzusehen und auch dort gibt es viel zu sehen. Ein kleines Manko ist vielleicht die hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Ab der 2. Nacht war dies aber schon kein Problem mehr.

Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. The heating was preset for the whole building which meant we got very hot in the night.

When I left at 8:15 they were still setting up. No milk for coffee, no juice, no tomatoes or cucumber, no fruit. Very bossy and unhelpful staff. Lovely sunny roof top but I was told I couldn’t sit there. When I left the hotel there was nobody in reception to report this to.

• Annika (9/5): Istanbul - einen Besuch wert, definitiv! - Freundliches Personal; das Wohl des Gastes war wichtig; jederzeit Englisch möglich; tolle Lage als Ausgangspunkt für die Stadt; Balat selbst ist aber auch ein cooles Viertel! Leider war das Wetter zu schlecht für die Rooftopterrasse, aber aber es ließ sich erahnen, dass das ein toller Ausblick wäre an lauen Tagen und Abenden! Vielleicht hatten wir nicht das beste Zimmer im Hotel, was die Lage angeht (direkt gegenüber dem Fahrstuhl, neben dem Raum für die Putzutensilien und über den Klimaanlagen) , aber für einen Kurztrip völlig in Ordnung und die Zuvorkommenheit des Personals hat alles ausgeglichen.

I loved the location, super close to balat and to transportation. I really liked the atmosphere and the view from the rooftop. Their restaurant is quite expensive but very good. The vibe of the place is just very nice and in a safe place. The isolation of the entrance door of my room was just really bad. I could hear everything from my room to the outside. Not to the neighbors or the street. So that was the only thing I didn’t appreciate

• J.radhia (2/5): - Une catastrophe chambre lpas de couverture, pas de rideaux, ils ont dû mettre un rideau d'une autre couleur à 22h30, sous le lit le ménage n'est pas fait du tout, j'ai passé mon temps à réclamer les articles toilettes manquants, franchement je suis vraiment déçu car je suis venu en 2025 et ce n'était pas ainsi. Hôtel trop bruyant. La jeune femme du petit déjeuner est très sympathique et très efficace.

• Carol (9/5): - Location made local cafes accessible and the metro stop was a 5 min walk. Han was wonderful, finding me an umbrella to use when it was pouring with rain. He looked after me very well, and made sure everything was OK for me. I really appreciated him. There was an amazing view from the rooftop restaurant and bar. Photo below. I wish I had asked earlier for someone to come and reset the air-conditioner.

Man kann von hier den Stadtteil Balat sehr gut erkunden und hat es zu den anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht weit. Um das Hotel gibt es viele Restaurants, man bleibt nicht hungrig. Das Restaurant bzw. der Frühstücksraum sind im obersten Geschoss und haben eine tolle Aussicht auf das goldene Horn. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein

Het restaurant is een grote plus van het hotel en ook het personeel, heel erg behulpzaam en supervriendelijk. De nabijheid van de tram is ook zeker een troef. De kamers zijn niet al te groot maar alles is aanwezig!

• Dominique (8/5): Une hôtel sans prétention dans lequel on sent comme chez soi. - Le Petrion est vraiment un établissement qui a tout pour lui : proximité du tram et des vapeurs, calme puisque légèrement en retrait de la route principale, proche aussi d'un quartier avec des boutiques et des restaurants. Tout est propre, fonctionne bien et le personnel est aimable, attentif aux besoins des clients. Accueil sympathique de jour comme de nuit. Autre atout : une terrasse au dernier étage, joliment aménagée et un bon restaurant. Un bon petit-déjeuner y est servi. Un endroit que je recommande pour ceux qui aiment les hôtels avec une touche d'originalité. Vraiment rien ni à changer, ni à améliorer. Tout est parfait.
• Mike (10/5): Eleven out of ten! - Absolutely fantastic both! I’ve been visiting this area for over a decade and know every inch of the area. The location of this place is peaceful affording welcome respite from city life and the bustle of Balat. The rooms are fantastic with many interesting features . The staff are all happy in their roles , attentive and kind and the views from the roof top at breakfast sublime as was the breakfast itself. I’d give it 11 if I could! • Georgia (10/5): - Πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό ,είχαμε μια πολύ άνετη διαμονή με δύο παιδιά 10 ετών . Το κατάλυμα είναι πολύ όμορφο με ένα πολύ οικογενειακό περιβάλλον. Το σημείο που βρίσκετε είναι γραφικό και υπάρχουν πολλά καταστήματα τριγύρω για φαγητό ,καφέ. Επίσης έχει στάση τραμ και πλοίο που είναι πολύ εξυπηρετικά για την μετακίνηση σου . Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα για μια ευχάριστη εκδρομή στην Κωνσταντινούπολη . Είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένη , ίσως θα ήθελα να υπάρχει λίγο ποιο ευρωπαϊκό πρωινό για τα παιδιά .
• Stefan (10/5): Tolles kleines Hotel in sehr schöner Gegend absolut empfehlenswert - Das Hotel hat eine Superlage, um Istanbul zu erkunden. Die Tram T5 ist ca. 100 m entfernt und fährt in wenigen Minuten zum Knotenpunkt Eminünö. Dort herrscht ein buntes Treiben, wie eigentlich überall. Von Eminünö sind die beiden größten Moscheen und der Versunkene Palast mit der T1 schnell zu erreichen. Auch fahren hier alle Fähren ab. Alles zu nutzen mit der Istanbulkart (42 Lira pro Fahrt) Auch Balat ist vom Hotel aus gut zu erreichen. Das Hotelpersonal ist TOP, alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Han an der Rezeption und die nette Frühstücksdame verdienen ein großes Lob für Ihre Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, das Frühstück auch recht gut. Die Betten sehr gut und im Hotel insgesamt sehr ruhig. Im hauseigenen Restaurant kann man ebenfalls sehr gut essen (mit einer tollen Aussicht auf das Goldene Horn) Alles in allem ein echt empfehlenswertes Hotel, in dem auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. War alles TOP, es gab absolut nichts zu bemängeln

• Marie-France (8/5): Chouette séjour! - Bien situé, au calme et tout proche d'Eminonu. Chambres petites mais propres et surtout un personnel jeune, serviable et hyper sympa. La direction aussi : mot d'excuses et petit cadeau suite à un souci d'eau chaude. J'y retournerai!
• niksa (5/5): The impression of the hotel remained in a bad memory due to the lack of hot water and subsequently low pressure. We show - The location, the hotel lobby, the view from the restaurant are the good points of the hotel Of the four days in the hotel, there was no hot water for two, the first and last day, the other two days the hot water pressure was very weak and I consider that a major drawback that should have been addressed promptly when they had a problem. Breakfast was so poor that we didn't want to use it on the last day

• Laurence (10/5): Un hôtel excellemment placé, joli, avec un personnel très accueillant - Un hôtel très agréable, où l'on se sent tout de suite bien, aménagé avec goût. Situé au bord de la Corne d'Or, il est près du tramway, et, pour les bons marcheurs permet de rejoindre beaucoup d'endroits intéressants à pied. Le personnel est très professionnel, très gentil et attentif à tous les besoins des voyageurs. Petit déjeuner extra, au 4e étage, avec vue sur la Corne d'Or. Tout était très bien. Nous avons eu un petit problème avec l'eau chaude, vite résolu, et nous avons été dédommagées par un petit cadeau : un geste commercial très appréciable, alors que nous n'avions rien demandé.

Close to a number of landmarks and for those that are not within walking distance the tram and ferry is right outside the door The breakfast could have a few more options but with the view from the terrace it’s quickly forgotten?

• Manó (7/5): - Kedves személyzet, pár perc sétára található egy buszmegálló és metrómegálló, kellemes hangulat. Nagyon pici szoba, apró fürdőszoba, zajos épület, szegényes reggeli, előfordult, hogy két alkalommal nem volt meleg víz.

We Loved Everything. 🪬 The Colorful Balat Neighborhood filled with Delicious Restaurants & Cafes, Unique Shops, popular Instagram Photo sites, so many very Friendly People & Cats 😺 & easy to use Light Rail 🚈 is a few blocks away (it brings you right to the ⛴️ Ferry Port & Galata Bridge, to get everywhere. The Hospitality & Service at Balat Petrion was Fantastic. Teşekkür Ederim! Thank You to Kadir, Han & Sofia for such Attentive & Kind Service. We Really Appreciate It! There is a Sweet Cafe on the first floor & Restaurant with Wonder View on the top floor, where they serve a Breakfast Buffet in the Morning. They also have an Elevator 😁 We stayed in the comfortable SultanAmet Room, large, Comfortable Bed with a Hot Tub Bath & 2 Balconies with Amazing View of the Bosphorus Strait 😍 We highly Recommend this Hotel for your Trip to the Beautiful City of Istanbul, Türkiye 🪬

• Christos (7/5): - Δεν ηταν εντελώς καθαρό το δωματιο. Την 3η μερα δεν πέρασε καν η καθαρίστρια απ το δωματιο. Μολις κάναμε τσεκ ιν αναφέραμε το θεμα στο τηλέφωνο του ντουζ οτι υπάρχει πρόβλημα και μας είπαν οτι το αλλο πρωι θα το δουν τελικά δεν ήρθε κανεις
