Guest Reviews
- Simon (10/5): - Location and vibe.
Really easy to get to from the airport and very well located to get around Bangkok.
The downstairs bar was pleasant, friendly and had great food.
The room was quiet. Did not have a proper door to the bathroom (just a curtain) which made toilet-time a little awkward!
- nancyhofsommer (9/5): - Mega stylische Unterkunft... Frühstück war mal was anderes... Ideale Lage in der Nähe von Chinatown
- Katherine (10/5): 9/10 - Great location, clean, friendly staff, cool style No early breakfast available
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Elodie (10/5): Recommande !!! - Parfait !
RAS

- Alison (9/5): Wonderful Chinatown - Fabulously quirky, beautiful property. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and amazing location. Made me fall back in love with Bangkok. I would give a brief warning about the steep staircase. Beautiful old building so no lift. The lovely staff rushed to take our cases up for us though.
- Tzu ying (9/5): -
- Kirsty (10/5): -
- Davey (10/5): Excellent - Had an amazing time! Beautiful room and view, very friendly staff
- Karol (10/5): This is simply a place with a very and peculiar, bold character. It gave me a lot inspiration, and we were treated excep - For me the best place to stay when in BKK
- Eva-Maria (10/5): -
- Rose (9/5): Comfortable accommodation that is well located to public transport (MRT) and lots of eateries. - Quirky, unusual accommodation set in the heart of Chinatown, close to a multitude of eateries and the Yaowarat Road night food markets. Super-responsive management attended promptly to our queries. Street noise e.g. tuk tuks, into the early hours.

- Oliver (9/5): - Absolutely lovely.
Fantastic alternative to the usual Sukhumvit type hotel.
Real BKK, old town. All good but some stairs to climb.
- Leo (9/5): -
- Sam (10/5): Great stay in Chinatown area. - Very cool place to stay in a perfect location. The bar and restaurant were fantastic! Amazing cocktails, gorgeous food and helpful staff. nothing
- Samuel (10/5): -
Niente!
- michaela (10/5): a chic loft to chill out from the hustle of the city - amazing facilities and staff. - SUCH a super cool place to stay on our first 2x nights in thailand. we LOVED our room and loved the privacy. the bar staff downstairs were always friendly -- and the lovely lady who made our breakfast was a sweetheart. decor and amenities made it very comfortable. the neighbourhood was super cool and we really loved our stay. nothing ;)

- Carol (10/5): Unique property in a great location - Very unique. Lots of lovely additional features, speaker in the room, a bag to use if needed. Very comfortable bed. China town just a short walk away and lots of buzzy bars on the street. Staff were lovely. Stairs were steep
- Revis (10/5): -
- Noran (10/5): Amazing ! - One of the beat in Bangkok! Nth !
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Mette Müller (10/5): -
- silvy (10/5): Una piccola perla a Bangkok - Tutto!!!
- Christian (9/5): stylish and cute - Great location, amazing design and wonderful body products. very hip bar downstairs. a bit too much street noise on weekend
- Natalee (10/5): Welcoming and happy -

- Pin (10/5): best place ever - the service is amazing. super friendly and attentive staff. felt very welcome and looked after. had an issue with the air-conditioning and it was resolved quickly. water pressure in the shower could be stronger
- Gabby (8/5): -
- valerie (10/5): Great place to stay in bkk - Beautiful boutique accomodation, very new and nicely styled. Perfect location. It is really nice to have so much nice bars and restaurants nearby on walking distance (G.o.d. , tap bar, electric sheep, potong) The downstairs bar/rest is also very nice. Great to have a balcony and overlook the city. Great view from the room. Great breakfast, mostly local options but really nice! Friendly staff. There is some noise from the streets nearby however that didnt bother us at all. If you are a light sleeper you can use the provided ear plugs, but we didnt need them at all. Moreover there was no noise from the downstairs restaurant/bar which closes at 0:00. Overall a very nice stay. Just be sure to put up a sign on the door if your bed needs to be made up. Nothing.

- Rothman (10/5): Best hotel ever fr fr - Friendliest staff, amazing room, amazing everything!
- kyung hee (10/5): -
- Lara (10/5): - Séjour unique ! Merci à toute l’équipe!
- Giuseppe (10/5): L'arte dell'interior design - L'arte he si respiro ovunque.
- Nathalie (10/5): Great boutique hotel in China town - It was fun and intimate and had great attention to detail in terms of design
- Jansis (10/5): A gem of a find in Soi Nana - We stayed a week in the third floor room. Comfy bed, good wifi and a/c and plenty of hanging space and room to unpack. The outstanding features though are the balcony, the amazing view and the exceptional location. Before we arrived I’d been a little concerned about being up three flights of steps (I’ve got a dodgy knee) but it turned out not to be a problem at all and the downstairs crew were really helpful with our luggage. We were also pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful the room was given its location in Soi Nana. Maybe the shower might be a little cool for some people. Hard to find fault though as the whole set up is so thoughtfully considered and well hosted.
- Kim (9/5): Superb -
- Kristina (10/5): Best stay in Bangkok in the heart of china town - Amazing property, super well located in the heart of china town, very nice living area, comfortable sleeping, stylish interior. Very helpful and attentive staff. The shower could have more water pressure.
- Coquet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (9/5): Nice place, good breakfast but the stairs are very steep to reach the top level. - Location Very steep stairs
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Wafiq (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - What a lovely place and really well decorated. The service was great and so was breakfast!
- Shamini (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing space with great views and amenities. Nothing.
- Shanie (9/5): Really unique stay with great location - We loved the location and the balcony! It was so quirky to make our way through the restaurant and up a few flights of stairs to make our way to our excluded room on the very top. The decor was really modern and comfortable and after a long trip from the UK we were very comfortable for a few days. There was a fridge filled of cold water and refreshments that we had access to. If we REALLY had to comment it would probably be the breakfast. The options are quite limited, particularly for vegetarian. Although the waffle I had and the fresh fruit platter was still nice! So we decided to only have breakfast once whilst we stayed. But with all the options around for restuaurants etc we didn't struggle for options.
- Sakinah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful - Stay here! The host was exceptional and we couldn’t fault a thing, couldn’t recommend highly enough for service or facilities
- Lee-ann (9/5): Superb -
- Mei (10/5): Charming homestay at Chinatown Ba Hao - Great locations and excellent house keeper. Love the ambiance of the building, charming neighborhood, cleanliness of the room. Walking distance to Chinatown night market and also MRT. However, do not the room is above the bar, it might be slightly noisy if you expected a very quiet hotel. There’s also earbuds prepared in case needed.
- Helene (8/5): Very good - Location is amazing, although in the hustle and bustle if you like it quiet and not to sleep with earplugs this is not for you. I loved it despite needing the earplugs for the night, which they btw provide. I could have used a guide for how to turn on the shower, easy when you know how to do, the staff didnt know either so they had to call for help.
- Fabienne (8/5): Stylisch hotel in the middle of China Town - The hotel is well located in the center of Cina Town. Check in was quick and the people were very nice and helpful. The rooms are nicely furnished with large windows so you are able to see local houses and the neighborhood. The hotel is on a busy road and can be noisy. It didn't bother us but if you don't have a deep sleep, it can be disturbing - it has ear protectors in the room ;) Breakfast was a great selection to choose from and it was very tasty. On our next trip to Bangkok we would stay there again.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruby (10/5): The best place I have ever stayed in Bangkok and can’t wait to return!! - Very clean, amazing location Not a thing
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abigail (10/5): The BEST. - We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was perfect. The room was super clean, the location was perfect and the bar downstairs was amazing. Breakfast was prepared for us every morning and it was unreal. This place made our trip in Bangkok, we couldn’t recommend it enough.
- Markku (10/5): Greay choice. We defenetely be our place also next time. - This was a great surprice. The location could have not been better. Room (studio) was absolutely great and downstair’s bar offered tasty drinks. We heard that food was also great there, but we ate in China town. We read earlier reviews and noted that there had been some complaints about noice - we did not notice it but truly enjoyed our stay. I highly reccomend this place. If anything, breakfast could have been better and yes, there were deep stairs.
Honestly, this place was that great, that I feel a bit ashamed to even mention those.
- Gökhan (10/5): Great location near China town, entrance to apartment is through a very good restaurant. Chill and good place. Decoratio - Location is perfect. Entrance is from a very good restaurant. Decoration of homes are very good.
- Remona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location! Beautiful place!! Great food great staff! Would love to come back and stay again!!!
- Ken (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mattijs (8/5): Nice design room close to China Town - Nicely decorated room with good view of street. Friendly staff. Party at downstairs bar went on longer than promised. After asking they rounded up.
- Joseph (10/5): So unbelievably good it’s hard to overstate. - Completely perfect in every way. I cannot fault a thing. It ticked all of my boxes. Easily one of the 10 best accommodations I’ve ever stayed in, ever. Nothing. It is faultless!
- Ken (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pawaran (9/5): Superb - Great location with good facilities
Breakfast was delicious and they have many options.
- Chuthasmit (10/5): Exceptional - Good vibe
- Lena (10/5): Exceptional - The room and the hotel is amazing. The hotel is super small and the entrance is from the restaurant, but all this making it even more charming and spacial. The room is big, the bad is perfect, but the best part is the view and the privet terrace. Green and beautiful. And if here not because of the restaurant, make sure to visit it. It's one of my favorite places in the city. And this is the aria of the bests hip and trendy bars in Bangkok. I'll definitely come back!
- Happy_travellers (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay - Beautiful loft style room well designed in retro fittings .
Chilled vibs lovely terrace in a cool bar . Lots of stairs to the room but not a negative
- Aga (10/5): Beautiful - This is a beautyifuly designed room in more quiet part of Chinatown with few trendy restaurants on the same steet including the one downstairs. They offer two rooms and common area with snacks and coffee. Our room had a huge window and an amazing view. These weren’t problem for us but few things to know: there is no elevator and the staircase is steep and narrow; the bathroom in our room was semi- open behind the glass; the rooms is noisy but they offer free earplugs
- Pitchapa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good -
- Nieves (7/5): Very good for the price, but extremely loud and China Town is a place to visit, not a place to stay - Very stylish, good bed, lots of space and really very clean. I would not book a room in China Town again, if I ever come back to Bangkok. It was super loud, on the weekends theres life music downstairs.
- Thidarat (9/5): Beautiful place - my favourite room in bangkok for sure - will be returning. - Beautiful space - well designed and decorated. Nice touches and a lot of effort obviously went to lighting and great small touches . High end amenities- top notch room speakers etc to complementary water and soft drinks and fruits in fridge . Friendly staff - bless her - sweet lady. Breakfast was great everyday . Room was perfect and beautiful to be in the evenings . Amazing views. Well located . Nothing loved it here . But if there is one thing I would have liked to enjoy the common areas a bit more as it’s very well decorated and has tv , kitchen etc in the evenings but not really able to if just looking to chill and watch tv , relax and eat because of noise and ambiance from downstairs bar . But very minor - just had to eat out instead of cooking or bring food in we are not permitted to eat in the bedrooms .
- Zhiltsova (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelechi (10/5): I will definitely book Ba Hao again. - We liked everything, the location, the indoor/outdoor space, the restaurant, the amenities, the bathrooms, the breakfast, the staff, everything. Honestly the only thing was there was no elevator but that didn’t impact how much we enjoyed the property.
- Ricardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominika (10/5): Exceptional - amazing location and place! I brought my boyfriend there for his first night in Thailand ever and it was a perfect experience. We loved the view and the balcony and breakfast was SOOO GOOD nothing
- Svenja (10/5): Perfect stay in BKK - Everything was perfect. The rooms are beautifully designed and the views are incredible. The living room was very spacious and was great to hang out. We really enjoyed the breakfast and would definitely stay again. Make sure to eat at their restaurant downstairs and have a drink or two.
- Valerie (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - This is an exceptional place to stay, like having your own private studio apartment on a rooftop. We stayed on the fourth (top) floor, with the balcony. The room was clean and facilities were modern. The view is very special - you can see the top of the stupa from Wat Tramit (Golden Buddha) and the activity in the streets below. We spent a fair bit of time on the balcony, just watching the world go by. The Ba Hao restaurant downstairs is pricey (somewhere between 1500 to 2500 THB for a solid meal and drinks for two) though certainly justified by the food and experience, and we went back a second time. The photos with the couch and television are of the second-floor communal area, which comes with a stocked fridge that you can use freely (mineral water, coke, milk, etc.) and there is a coffee machine as well as various other facilities. As far as we could tell, there were only two apartments at Ba Hao restaurant/residence (one on the third floor, one on the fourth) so the communal area is essentially like a private space. The breakfast as also fantastic with local options on offer that you put in an order for the day before. We also really liked the area in Bangkok - very close to the Chinatown area and Yaowarat street, which is a vibrant and bustling area, and also close to the other attractions in old town. This wasn't an issue at all for us, but it's worth noting that there were four flights of relatively narrow stairs up to the accommodation and no lift - which is totally understandable given the style of the building. This however may be an issue for people with mobility restrictions.
- Stefan (10/5): Really enjoyable! - Everything really. The location in side street of Chinatown. The atmosphere and carefully designed interior, our room with a view. Would choose this place over one of the big hotels anytime! Stairs can be challenging with heavier luggage or physical disabilities.
- Eoin (8/5): Wonderful for a couple of nights max - Beutiful room, but was on a shortcut to Chinatown that tuc-tuc drivers used, with souped up or broken exhausts so was very loud. Grand for a night or 2 but no more than that.
- Craig (9/5): Superb - Super cool boutique place. Very cool boogie feel with mystique like you're in a Gremlins film. Unfortunately the cocktail bar was and no-one told us before we booked. It was Monday so be aware. We went back the next day as we left our bags there after checkpoint so we could explore the city. We had a cocktail or two which were very good. The vibe was very cool. Stay here, it's an adventure in a funky part of town. The bar and restaurant was closed on Monday our stay day. The customers should be notified of this before booking. Naughty.
- Tra (8/5): Beautiful little spot near Chinatown - The Ba Hao is very tastefully decorated, great use of space and design. Lovely full windows and 2 additional windows with street view near / border of Chinatown. I had the studio and this is enough space for 1-2 pax but does not look as large as it does in Book.com. The room I had was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) so be warned if you have large / heavy luggage but everyone was super helpful and nice and helped me with the luggage. It's in a great area with bars/lounges, lots of street food options which run until midnight, 1 am...I happened to be there the night they were having a block party / and DJ below but I think all other times it must be quieter? I would definitely go back. I happened to be there the night they were having a block party / and DJ below (at the bottom of the accommodation is a bar/lounge/restaurant but I think all other times it must be quieter? The variety of street food is also excellent so for late night eaters, it's great but it also means noise from the streets. Oh, and the water pressure could be stronger in the shower but perhaps they cannot change this
