The property claims to have three bathrooms, technically true but one is just a really small toilet. One bedroom is only accessible through another bedroom and that bedroom has no door. The property is also above a bar which means some nights are really noisy.

Didn’t have 3 full bathrooms, only 2 & 1/2. The showerhead holder was broken in the bathroom nearest the kitchen & the shower had a strange setup. We weren’t able to do our laundry during our 3 night stay as the washer door never unlocked for us to use it. (We attempted to reach out, but never heard back from anyone about that concern during our stay). I could go on…

• Michael (2/5): Run down and dirty - Left waiting for 24 mins to check in in 37°C heat with luggage and two children. No water on arrival. No coffee making facilities. No WiFi. Plaster and dust on furniture. Bad smell and damp stains on walls. Filthy floors (partners feet were black with muck after 20 mins). Random coat hanger hanging from bathroom window? Wobbly bathroom tap. Wooden toilet seat with chip, which is unhygienic. Not homely, more like a cheap hostel for teen travellers. Wafer thin curtains. This was within 30 mins of checking in. We sourced new accommodation and checked out within two hours and the v host was informed. I would like to be refunded for this booking. Not as advertised and certainly not suitable for a family on holiday.

The listing says the kitchen is fully equipped- however there was no coffee, tea, sugar, salt or pepper which I think are considered basic. Secondly there was no chopping board, no kitchen towels, nothing to wipe the kitchen after use. So it was quite difficult to really use this fully equipped kitchen. There was also no pasta strainer in the land of Pasta!
• Maldonado (8/5): - Good location. Big apartment. Good view. AC only works with the magnetic key. So when we were out of the apartment, there was no AC working. It take at least 30 mins for the apartment to get colder upon arrival. Below the apartment which is on a first floor, there is a bar restaurant which makes it noisy at night. The apartment is very big, the main room is far away from the other rooms, so if you have small children who still wake up at night and change to your room is an issue. They can’t keep your bags after check which is at 10 am (Prior place in Florence check out at 11 and kept your luggage) so if you plan to stay throughout the day you need at storage place.

• Carlos (10/5): Nice place in Flronce - Great location in the Piazza di Santa Croce. Nice view from living room. Very walkable to many things in Florence. We were met for Check in which went smooth. Well appointed room with most the amenities you need. Could use some glasses and paper towel in the kitchen. 2 Bathrooms were good and had a 3rd bonus toilet in hall. Beds were fine, good closet space, A/C worked well. Overall was a comfortable place for our family. Only cons were the Wifi was pretty spotty and it's 3rd floor with no elevator so getting luggage upstairs was a workout.
• Kari (10/5): Traditional and comfortable - The location was very walkable to all the city sights. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, though bedding was sparse. The washing machine was a huge plus! Very quiet inside even though on a busy plaza. Bonus! We got to see the traditional games being played this time of year. Great to spread out when you have teens. AC units worked great but were very loud.
• Robert (4/5): Disappointing - The location was the only shining point of our stay. The beds are very hard. Mattress pads are needed. The bedding was non existent. Only sheets. The pillows did not match one another and extra pillows in closet had no pillow cases. No information on how to use washing machine and no dryer. Only provided toilet paper. If you plan on cooking, be prepared to buy all essentials, salt, pepper, paper towels etc. could hear people above fighting all night long stomping around and yelling. One of the bathroom showers was so small you couldn’t even turn around. Don’t want to drop the soap, you’d have get out to pick it up. It’s a shame that the owners don’t put more effort into making this place a more inviting and memorable stay for their guests. The little things go along way for travelers. Suggestions, a welcome basket with fresh fruit, a couple of water bottles, a map of Florence, some dining suggestions, most important, comfortable bedding after a long day. I would not stay here again and for the price I cannot recommend it. Florence has as many choices for lodging as they do restaurants. Keep looking.
• Richard (10/5): - Very nice apartment with no elevator as expected but it is only on the 2nd floor so not bad. Very close to main piazzas and attractions. Travelled with my wife and 3 teenage kids. They enjoyed our time in Florence very much and the proximity of the apartment did factor in as we could stop for 1 hour breaks and then just walk back. Excellent and very courteous staff. They have a washing machine which was great, no dryer but they provided a rack with which we were able to air dry the clothes on the terrace. Worked well.

With that being said apartment should be cleaned better before guests arrive as everything had a layer of dust. Plus there was a leak from the roof into one of the bedrooms into the end in the middle of the night.

• Lisa (10/5): - Excellent place for our family of 5 to visit Florence. Communication and check-in was easy. We loved being right on the Piazza Santa Croce as everything was within walking distance but further from the center. On the plaza was a different outdoor market with different vendors each 2 days or so. Since the bedrooms are in the back of the building, it was quiet for sleep. We also loved how close the apartment is to the market di Sant’Ambrogio where some locals do their produce shopping. We picked up fruit and cheeses and walked through less touristy neighborhoods to find some amazing biscotti and smaller stores/shops. Was a nice change after the crowded famous sites of Firenze. If we stayed longer, we would have picked up some items to cook at the apartment. Only one flaw was that the air conditioner did not work in the upstairs room so it was quite hot. We didn’t open windows because of mosquitoes. Overall, great place to stay and would recommend to all.

• Kevin (8/5): Great location, good accommodations. - Perfect location and lots of room. It was unfortunately pretty noisy, could hear all of the upstairs noise and the tankless hotwater heater was very loud right next to the main bedroom.

The beginning of the stay didn't start so smooth as we were locked out of the apartment for about 2 hours - which on Christmas Eve especially was not ideal! However, the young man Mirko who was there to greet us and let us in was so wonderful. So while we waited for someone else to come fix the door, he gave us a history lesson and tons of ideas of places to go and things to see. Once we were in we were so impressed with the space - much bigger than expected, clean, comfy beds, lots of towels and toiletries. There is a washer/dryer which was awesome. The shower was amazing and the roof top terrace was such a highlight - you can see the entire city scape from there. Excellent location! A couple things to suggest to the owner/manager to be improved is - the coffee pods in the kitchen didn't fit the coffee machine (I had to buy proper ones) , there is tons of pots/pans but only a couple of them actually work on the Induction cooktop, and it would be wonderful to equip the kitchen with a cutting board, a better knife, and some kitchen towels/oven mitts. My family of 3 stayed here 3 nights - it was very comfortable, walkable to everything, bright, spacious and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to go back one day!

• William (8/5): - Overall, the property is nice. The view is spectacular from the penthouse apartment where we stayed. Renters should be told in no uncertain terms that the apartment is on the top of a four tall story building and there is no lift. I concede that it may be due to Orbitz inability to convey this info. Having said that, if I were managing this property there are a lot of things I would do differently. The amount of toiletries provided for the stay and number of guests was insufficient and requests for more were rebuffed by the host. The bed linens were scratchy, not "premium". There is a washing machine and a dishwasher, but detergent for neither were provided and requests for these items were rebuffed by the host. There is a K-cup type coffee machine in the unit but no pods were present. A request for this item was rebuffed by the host. There were no kitchen towels which is really silly since the unit has a full (albeit small) kitchen. There is ample storage space in the unit and all of the items mentioned could be purchased in quantity at minimal cost to the host and stored on site. In short, it is our opinion that the property managers don't have great business sense and what might have been an extremely enjoyable stay for us was rendered uninspiring.

• BONNIE (10/5): - Ideal location for exploring Florence. Totally walkable. We parked in the nearby carpark and had access to our car, but honestly mostly just walked around the city by foot. The location is totally central and close to everything. Loved the apartment and the location is awesome!!

Rooms large and bathroom large. had washing machine . Lounge area good . Air con great. Had to wait awhile on the stairs for fella to let us in , but he was busy and apologised. Toilet seat broken in main bedroom. moved around which was a challenge but not the end of the world. Main light globe in 2 nd bedroom not working.

There are only stairs to the top floor,so may be a challenge for some,but good for working off the pasta !! Location wise absolutely fantastic everything is walking distance and there is a public car park to the rear. The roof terrace provides an panoramic view which is amazing.
• John (10/5): - This is a short-term rental apartment overlooking Santa Croce Plaza. The check-in process was easy, the manager/assistant met us at the apartment and checked us in. Santa Croce Plaza is wonderful and the apartment has a stunning view of the Plaza from its second-story location (like a third-story apartment in the US). There is no elevator and carrying large, heavy bags up three stories on a narrow staircase was a challenge. My only critique is that the apartment was not adequately provisioned. There was no paper towel and minimal toilet paper. We had to buy these items at a local grocery store. Other than that, it was great. Santee Croce is an excellent location to stay. All the major tourist destinations are within a 20-minute walk from this apartment.

There was a pastry cafe around the corner which was great. We had an issue with the water heater but it was fixed with 30 minutes. I can't think of anything that would have made this apartment any better! It was great.
• Simin (1/5): Terrified - The location is good It is a very bad experience，the morning before we check out ，when we were still asleep at 6:00, an unfamiliar Italian man came in directly to our bedroom with a key, we were both frightened and wake up, but the man escaped right away. I can’t imagine what would happen if I was alone or there were more breakers. What’s more disturbing is when we told the house keeper she doesn’t do anything ！

We were fine but the initial climb to the apartment was hard work

Thank you for a lovely stay. The gentleman who met me to give me the keys was VERY friendly and helpful but didn't actually seem to know about the wifi or the thermostat correctly but fortunately there were written instructions which meant all was well.
• Elizabeth (9/5): The apartment was spacious, clean and well located. - The location was great. The apartment was very spacious and clean for a family of four. I would stay there again. Hosts were responsive to questions or issues. We also had a great view of the basilica and the pictures matched the ones online. The WiFi was not working and it took several days to resolve the issue. I wish it was working from the beginning. It’s also a long walk up but we expected that. Other than that we were very satisfied.
• Kyle (10/5): Pent house with Duomo and Cathedral views - Clean and updated place. Beautiful interior with tall ceilings, air conditioning, amazing shower woth two shower heads and a bench. The unit is on the top flooor. There is no elevator. The stairs are not difficult but a person who has a hard time with stairs may not be happy. With that said, the view from the windows of the plaza and cathedral are worth it not to mention the rooftop terrace from which you can see Duomo clearly. This place is in a great location to walk everywhere but there are always taxis waitiing on the plaza square that were affordable.
• Eileen (7/5): Good - The apartment is in a great location with great cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean and spacious. We had a group of 4 people staying at the apartment and only 1 key for access. This was extremely inconvenient since we wanted to go off and explore on our own. There is a key pad to get into the building but not the apartment. It would be much more accommodating to have key code access to the apartment door as well.

• Janice (9/5): Amazing location - walking distance to all historic sites and local hidden gems - Traveling family of four, excellent location to historic sites within local neighbourhoods. Abundance of food and shops within proximity. Safe enough for teens to explore themselves and not get lost. Apartment was spacious and lots of room for the four of us to spread out. 1. Not enough toiletries or laundry soap provided for the nights stayed. Bedsheets missing from one of the beds in second bedroom. Called housekeeping for extra supplies and sheets, but no laundry soap for our family of four. Took time away from our travels to have to find laundry soap and some other supplies missing from flat. 2. Beware travellers who don’t pack light, there are four flights of stairs to navigate to get to flat. Our family was only travelling with carry-ons and kids didn’t expect all the stairs. 3. Early morning departures before 7am, no taxis or uber to airport available. 15-20 minutes walking to train station for airport tram.

• Karolina (7/5): Good - Location was amazing. Close to everything. The apartment was gorgeous and spacious. The apartment was missing few little things that would come in handy. Garbage bags, paper towels, wine glasses etc.
• Lisa (10/5): Amazin - We were a party of eight we rented two apartments and both were exactly as described. The location was amazing situated right on Santa Croce Piazza. We would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone visiting Florence. We would definitely recommend visiting Grotto Divino downstairs. Cute wine bar and the staff, especially Fábio Sophie and Roberto were amazing. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Florence View, location, cleanliness

• Deborah (5/5): Santa Croce “Palace” is Anything But! - The location is the best overlooking Piazza Santa Croce. The greeter/concierge was pleasant and eager to please. Sadly, it didn’t appear based on my experience that property owner empowers the staff to actually do much to oblige. One is greeted by a dark, dirty entry way which is anything but welcoming. The apartment is furnished in a spare, uncomfortable manner and lacks key amenities touted in the property summary on Booking-no coffee machine, iron or board. Between the living area and bedroom and bath, there is an open area where cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. are stored. It is a totally unsightly mess. When choosing a property, a coffee machine (e.g. Nespresso, etc.) is an absolute must. While listed as an amenity, there was none to be found. I requested in person to the concierge greeter that checked me in on my first evening and was assured it would be handled in the morning. However, the next day he messaged and said I’d have to ring the owner and discuss with him. I declined to make a project out of this while on holiday, and never heard another word. Additionally, this property is very pricey for what it is. For $400 plus per night, one can do far better in Santa Croce, and I suggest taking your money elsewhere, as there are many lovely apartments to be had in the neighborhood. This was anything but an elevated experience! Very disappointing. I couldn’t wait to leave.

• Robert (9/5): Reccomended place to stay in Florence - Perfect location, with the balcony view to Piazza di Santa Croce. 10 minutes walk to Uffizi, 13 minutes to Duomo. Very clean. Very nice service. First flor just above the bar/tratorria but the bedroom is very quiet

We could not have been more delighted with this property that w - A beautiful apartment , nicely renovated, well located within the central city. The property is really spacious so very comfortable with good air con and heating. Unfortunately there is no lift so a little bit of a challenge with heavy bags or accessibility. But the only other suggestion would be to add more glasses and cups or mugs for drinks.

• Teresa (9/5): Very comfortable and clean accommodations - We were in an apartment so there was no breakfast included. There was a coffee machine, microwave, stove top and refrigerator so we could make breakfast or other meals on our own. There was a market about 2 blocks away that was convenient. There were also many places around to purchase food.

• Diana (8/5): Location location location! - Amazing location next to one of the most beautiful sites in Florence. A coffee shop for breakfast and a wine bar for an end of the night drink are right on the same street. Clean apartment, looks recently renovated, and all facilities are available. Air con works well and it was a life saver in the August heat, water pressure was great. Free Netflix on top 🙂 The hosts were graceful and allowed us to check out a bit later. If I have to nitpick, international channels such as the CNN or Euronews would be nice like in hotels. Checkout time could be later as well as 10am is quite early.. Beware that the living room can get noisy with the noise from the square and the bar below so if that bothers you, keep that in mind. The balcony should be cleaned.
