- ALEXANDER (7/5): Overall, a Mostly Positive Experience - Would Recommend with a Caveat... - Overall, a mostly pleasant experience. Taksim Story Residence is just 5 minutes away from Taksim Square. It's "quite literally" just off of Taksim Square, but in an area worked by prostitutes come early afternoon. That is certainly not Taksim Story's responsibility, but it may be a concern. The immediate neighborhood itself is charming, with eateries and grocery stores. My wife and I found the people nice, and the neighborhood seems to be revitalizing into a worthwhile and legitimate alternative for backpackers and budget-minded travelers. The room was just as depicted in photos. The staff was very helpful and a plus! The room felt dirty. Additionally, the bathroom wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival. We knew this by a small collection of empty body gel bottles in the shower that hadn't been disposed of and the lack of toilet paper available. "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," they say, and less than sparkling clean can feel off-putting if not very disappointing.

Выбрала отель, т. к. он близко к остановке автобуса HavaIst, удобно добираться в аэропорт. Будет несколько крутой спуск в одном переулке или вы можете пройти по ступенькам. При бронировании не было указано, что номер находится в цокольном этаже. Мне не повезло, что окно было над кроватью (номер 601). В номере напротив кровать была расположена удобнее.

- Melek (9/5): - Biz 12 gün kaldık ve dairenin büyüklüğü özellikle uzun konaklamalar için mükemmel. Dairede tüm olanaklar mümkün tv rahat koltuklar rahat yatak temiz çarşaflar temiz havlular istediğiniz zaman yenilerini temin ediyorlar. Sadece daire biraz daha temiz olabilir ama yine de iyiydi. Taksim meydanına ve metroya çok yakındı. Resepsiyondakiler Muhammed ve özellikle Raşid her istediğimizi anında temin ettiler çok içten ve samimiydiler kendimizi evimizde hissettik hatta çıkacağımız gün uçağımız akşam olduğu için istediğimiz kadar kalabilirsiniz dediler . Herşey için çok teşekkür ederiz. Tek olumsuzluk daireden caddeye çıkılan yokuştu ama o da çok uzun bir mesafe olmadığı için idare edilebilir.

- Aleksandr (10/5): - Отличное месторасположение. Прям рядом с площадью Таксим, если нужен вариант переночевать и двигаться дальше - идеально. Имейти ввиду, если вы с тяжёлыми чемоданами, будет тяжеловато катить их к отелю, довольно большой уклон. За свою цену отличное место.
- Nikolai (5/5): - Расположение отеля недалеко от площади Таксим, рядом есть недорогие ресторанчики, где можно перекусить и до метро недолго идти У моего номера окна выходили во внутренний двор, где всю ночь включались какие то насосы, вентиляция, кондиционеры, было невозможно спать из за этого шума. Номер тесный, изголовье кровати упирается в окно и её не сдвинешь никуда. Ванная комната тоже очень маленькая, везде не развернуться

При этом изголовье кровати стоит прямо у окна. Спать не возможно от шума. Сам номер очень тесный, на фотографиях выглядит просторнее.

- Shamiul (5/5): It was a decent stay with some problems and don't buy sim card from them - It was 15 mins walk to Taksim Square. But it was a uphill walk to Taksim square, so be prepared to walk a lot. Room was decent, lots of amenities were there. There was no remote controller for the Air Conditioner in the room. I stayed two days on 5th floor, everyday from 5 am there was too many construction related noises on the roof, it was breaking my sleep. One night there was no water cause the whole area was facing water problem, so I couldnt have shower that night after long day out. Another issue was that they sell SIM cards with internet from their reception. They charged me 1750 TRY for the sim but later I found out at other shops that it costs only 850 TRY. So they took almost 1000 TRY from me. Don't buy sim here.

As for starters, Wi-Fi didn't work for 2 days, so the man was invited to repair (you're welcome :) ). Also it was very loud because of remont, and I didn't get compensation for that. :(

- Sepehr (9/5): Cosy Hotel in a Less Noisy Area Close to Taksim - We had booked two rooms, one for our mothers and one for us as a couple. Both rooms were really good. Everything worked well, including the AC/heater which is a must for any room in Istanbul. The lift also helped a lot as our mothers couldn't climb the stairs. Our own room looked very bright with large windows. Both rooms were located on the 3rd floor and there were no other rooms on the same floor. We appreciate the free upgrading of rooms which the owner offered at check-in. Also, we were served with free Turkish coffee/tea every morning in the small lobby of the hotel. The bathrooms were clean and taking a warm shower was always possible and easy. We can recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay only a walking distance from Taksim square. The hotel is in a poorly maintained neighbourhood with extremely steep small roads leading to Taksim. The area is far from clean, modern or anything that you would later see in Taksim itself. So, yes, you are close to Taksim but in a way different environment. Also, the place is not suitable for people with mobility issues as one need climbing hilly roads to reach the place. Taxis can pick you up, of course, as an alternative.

As we were looking for place just to sleep each night as we were out till late. - Roman (9/5): - Останавливаюсь не в первый раз, да говорят район не очень, но в этом и прелесть Стамбула. Рядом есть магазины не очень дорогие по туристическим понятиям, и кафе, проверенные желудком)) всё норм)) Совет хозяевам, не забывайте о мелких ремонтах, всё стареет поэтому держите его в хорошем состоянии. В Турции часто так, сделают - великолепно, но про содержание в последующем - забывают.

- Milica (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean, the staff was very helpful especially lady at the front desk. If we ever go back to Istanbul, Taksim Story Residence will be our choice. We park our car in front of the hotel and everything was secure and good.
- Gus (7/5): Good - It was clean and had a balcony which I wanted as a smoker. Also the room was comfy with a small kitchen. Me personally I enjoyed the area because it's authentic. In 5th floor facing the sunrise with big windows they put white transparent curtains! I woke up literally at 5 every single day.. this small hotel is in a downhill rundown area so people with suitcases or health issues will face difficulties. I read some comments about the friendliness of the staff. I didn't experience any kind of this except bored people.

- Xenofon (8/5): A good experience but a questionable location. - The property was clean, organized and the staff was excellent. Communicative, helpful and always available. The property is located very close to Taksim square in some backroads. Not ideal, seems a bit dangerous at first however it seemed to be ok.

- Gordana (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, extremely friendly staff and at your service 24 hours. The apartment is extremely comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, 5 minutes from Taksim square. Peaceful and quiet area. Highly recommended. We have nothing bad to say.

- Varun (8/5): Very good - Overall a decent stay with good staff and clean room. The only hassle we faced was it was located on a downward slope away from Taksim Square. However, the stay was nice and pleasant.
- Ross (7/5): It was ok but Ist in turmoil during my stay. - Internet did not work properly for the first day, I did a side trip to rural Turkey for 3 days, neither lift nor any water was working when I left and there was no hot water upon my return 3 days later. Staff helped with bags when no lift.

- Ahmad (10/5): Amazing hotel in heart of old Istanbul - Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Very close to public transportation. The location is very close to Taksim, however, it is challenging to find at first, but it is easy to reach after knowing the area.

- Dusan_st (10/5): PERFECT! - This is our second time staying at this hotel this year, and we love it. The staff is also very kind, they welcome you and host you. The rooms are clean, tidy, there is heating, there is also air conditioning, hot water is always there, there is no noise, it is a quiet place. A perfect vacation spot for couples or families. When I come again, I will come here of course! /
