• Ayla (1/5): Avoid at any cost - Absolutely nothing. We did not end up staying at this hotel due to serious concerns upon arrival. It became immediately clear that the hotel did not match the description or photos at all. The room was unclean, and the overall condition of the hotel felt neglected and poorly maintained. We only kept our luggage in the room for a few hours while searching for another hotel, and when we returned to collect our belongings, we noticed an insect on one of our bags that matched the characteristics of a bed bug. More concerningly, there were also unusual activities taking place in the hotel that made us feel unsafe. The other guests we saw did not appear to be typical tourists, which added to our discomfort. We raised our concerns with the staff right away, but the hotel showed no willingness to help or offer any solution. Despite clearly explaining that we did not feel comfortable staying, they refused to provide any refund or compensation and kept the full payment. We ended up leaving and booking another hotel for our own safety and peace of mind. At the replacement hotel, the staff mentioned that they regularly receive guests who have left this same hotel due to similar experiences. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. If you value cleanliness, honesty, and feeling safe during your stay, it is best to avoid this place.

In de douche was schimmel, het toilet bleef lopen, op de grijze gordijnen waren witte strepen vuil, de lakens waren niet proper. Wij hadden eerst een andere kamer en die was nog erger. Toen hadden we een andere gekregen en deze was iets ruimer, maar ook vuil.

• Barry (6/5): Just OK - Location wise the hotel was ideally suited. I stayed in a "Luxury" room but the saying is, you pay for what you get. I would of at least expected curtains on all windows so save daylight coming through when sleeping and it just didn't feel "Luxury", I would have been better in a standard room. The Bath was huge which was nice but no shower and just needs some general maintance around the edges. The room was big with a separate living/working area and Wi-Fi was good.

• Nataliia (8/5): Very good - Great location in a lovely area of Istanbul with lots of bars and cafes. I had a very big room on the 3rd foor and I had to use 2 elevators to get there. The breakfast at the cafe downstairs was good. I was not offered tea during my first breakfast that was included in the price. I didn’t know that and ordered coffee and paid separately. After checking out I asked personnel of the cafe to put some cheese in a fridge. For some reason he put it in a freezer. That was very surprising.

• David (10/5): - Me quede unos días solo en este hotel y la verdad es que estoy contento ya que pagué un buen precio por la zona que estaba. Lo principal que valore fue la zona. La habitacion era espaciosa, tenia una mini sala, la habitacion de buen tamaño y el baño bien pero esperaba el baño mas espacioso. Tenia AC en la sala por lo que habia que tener las puertas abiertas para que llegara el aire a la habitación. El staff muy amable, me ayudaron con todo y con la lavandería. La zona fue muy buena, tienes de todo cerca, restaurantes, cafes, tiendas, etc. me volvería a quedar aquí. Me cambiaron las sabanas y toallas todos los días que esa era una preocupación que tenia de otros comentarios. Para una estadía económica esta es una buena opción.

• Sophie (10/5): Great location, good price, excellent room - The location of Ruby Hotel was very convenient for the tourist sites like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, it was a short walk to a main bus station. The room itself was a great size, included a mini-fridge with free water, tea, and coffee. There was a standing closet to store clothing. The bedside table had lamps with light switches next to the bed. The shower had great water pressure and warm water. The room included a radiator heater and an a/c unit. There was a TV but I did not turn it on to see what channels were offered. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap were included. They also had a hair dryer in the bathroom. Room service was excellent! The lights in the room would sometimes cut out briefly, but overall they worked okay. The in-room safe was not working properly (could no unlock it).

To start with the room was ok .. had a separate living room as it was part of the deluxe room facilities provided however we never saw the sofa bed had a log sofa which didn't open itself into a bed so to say the room consist of a king bed which is only a double bed is misleading. The room was facing the road which is all noisy until 3am and makes if hard to rest at night even though I asked a quiet peaceful room I was given this one don't ask me why ? The room had cracked windows which needs repairing asap as it's a health and safety issue and gives you the feeling of being unsafe. The TV in the room doesn't work at all even though there's 2 remote control nothing worked The bathroom is an absolute nightmare and catastrophic with the bathtub constantly leaking of water when you have a shower and the minute you come out of it you feel you've landed on a low tide coast .. this can be life threatening as you have to be extra careful not to slip otherwise you can break your bones esp if you are travelling with kids biggest nightmare which was mine as an adult . The overflowing water wets the toilet seat and the sink and it's absolute nightmare I was having to clean them with towels and even they were soaking wet .. I reported it to the reception maintenance came with no English speaking and translated it's normal as it will drain but it doesn't cos it's flooded . Shower head needs changing as well as toilet paper holder disgusting state broken

• Canan (2/5): - KAKERLAKEN IN DER UNTERKUNFT!!!! Wir hatten bereits beim Check-in Probleme, da unsere Buchung angeblich von Expedia nicht weitergegeben wurde. Fast zwei Stunden ist man uns trotz freier Zimmer und bereits bezahltem Zimmer nicht entgegengekommen. Erst nach dem wir den Hotelbesitzer persönlich telefonisch „terrorisiert“ haben, hat man uns schlussendlich die Schlüssel in die Hand gedrückt. Das Zimmer war heruntergekommen und gerade so auszuhalten. Für den Preis hatten wir keine grossen Erwartungen. Bereits am selben Abend hatten wir aber Kakerlaken im Zimmer, die aus dem Abfluss der Dusche herauskamen. Auch hier ist man uns nicht entgegengekommen und hat es als „normal“ bei den Wetterbedingungen verkauft. Wir hatten das Zimmer für 4 Nächte gebucht und sind nach der zweiten Nacht abgereist, da es nicht auszuhalten war.

• E (6/5): Pleasant - Hotel is on a nice location, the surrounding area is very nice and alive at 2 or even 3h after midnight. Staff was okayish, cleanness is also okayish. Overall somewhat good money-to-value ratio, especially on Besiktas. The Bathroom had some mould on the edges which was unpleasant. The fridge in the room was out of function (like broken door or something, cannot recall) although it was advertised.

They wanted to charge me 100tl for the little plastic room key chain. It fell off my hands and broke. Amazing!!! Something that should be no charge for someone staying in the biggest room they had for 4 nights. Also, rooms are very small as i could see. I stayed at the suite where you had to walk in the.middle of the room only since it is under the room, and there is no space for.your head to walk around. Toilet had an extremely big round bathtub, bit you had to be folded in 2 to get in. As well as the toilet. Like an airplane. (I am a regular guy though- 1.80cm). Small windows that gave nomair inside, no aircondition controller until you ask for it, no tv until you tell them to fix it. In order to go to the room, i had to change 2 elevators (carrying the luggage with.you)

• Hannah (7/5): Good - Great location, good value for money, reasonably comfy bed and good shower room. Quiet a night so got a good sleep. Reception was always manned. We arrived at 4am and check in was a breeze! Would stay again!
