The entrance lobby is comfortable, and my room was, given the price, everything one could ask. Although breakfast is 100m. away in a another street, it was good, and the staff there, too, very friendly. Although the location of the hotel on a vibrant street is excellent, its narrowness means that you have to lug cases to the corner; here the staff were extremely helpful as well.

The condition of the hotel is very bad. The window lock was damaged so it kept opening throughout the night. Hence flies everywhere in the bathroom. The walls are super thin so could hear the guest nextdoor and also footsteps of the guest staying above.

• James (1/5): BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS - I stayed here twice (once for 4 days and then 1 night after a visit to Halong-I had booked in advance of my arrival to Vietnam). Both times 10/10 reviews were posted under my name, which I did NOT submit and don't sound at all like how I write. I remember being asked to show my confirmation email on check-in and perhaps that is how they were able to get my info to do this (I have alerted booking and have not received a response as of yet, in the interim I deleted the first fake review but another one was posted after my 2nd stay-which I am editing to become this post). It's a shame because I would have given this hotel a decent review: the location is great and the staff seemed friendly (although perhaps untrustworthy). The room was ok. Breakfast is at another hotel and is not good (despite what the fake 10/10 review said!) but there are so many options around Hanoi this is not a big deal. As stated, it is not a bad hotel but you can certainly find others in the area that are of similar quality and at a lower price. I am leaving a 1 star review because their practices are unethical and I wish to alert others that many of these 10/10 reviews may be fake.

We had the room with a balcony on the 8th floor. The street where the hotel is located is quiet, but very central, only the airconditioner outside we could hear a little bit. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a little buffet, but you have to walk circa 150meter to another location.

• Kristen (5/5): I would not recommend this hotel. I am very surprised it’s rated four star. - Location was good and staff were helpful when asked. They upgraded our room when the first was dirty and v cramped, Breakfast is in the basement around the corner at another hotel and the food is covered in fruit flies. We went once and never again. The shower in the room we stayed in needed to be sealed as the water was coming out into the bedroom and all over the bathroom floor. I mentioned this to hotel staff and they didn’t seem to care.

• Marharyta (8/5): Нормальный отель для того что бы остановиться на 1-2 ночи, но не больше( у нас был номер без окна) - Очень хорошее местоположение. На пару дней остановиться для исследования города, только что бы там помыться и поночевать, самое то,. на больше чем на 3 дня, я бы поискала номер получше или хотя бы с окном. через какое то время начинает угнетать номер и он слишком маленький. в потолке была огромная решетка- вентиляция с щелями и казалось постоянно что оттуда что то да выползет платная вода в номере, завтрак как будто бы бесполезный, он с 6 до 9.30 и то надо идти в другой отель, мы его конечно же проспали., лучше бы его убрали и сделали бы проживание дешевле. рядом все равно много разных заведений где можно поесть .

• nuria (9/5): Great located, cozy, quiet hotel in the Old quarter of Hanoi. - Great location, right in the Old quarter of Hanoi. My room was quiet, which is to appreciate in this “crazy” area. It is clean and convenient for investigating the surroundings. Staff is very nice. Not luxus but very comfortable. I will choose it again but without breakfast. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast. The breakfast is run by a hotel nearby. It was poor quality, almost no choices and very warm dishes. Coffee was not great, orange juice was not fresh (weird color). There is a lot of room for improvement. I would skip the option room+breakfast.
• Linda (5/5): Not a 4 Star but convenient location - The location is great with a short walk to the lake and in the heart of the historic district. Everything is right there. Potential guests should be aware that the hotel is in a busy, narrow alley not accessible by car - so luggage will need to be carried 1/2 block and Grab pickup can be a bit tricky. From the rating we were expecting a 4 star hotel and it is not at this level. It is clean and a good location, but otherwise a disappointment. We had an inside room with a frosted “window” on to the hotel air shaft. At night a bright light shone in making very difficult to sleep. (Photo) Hotel staff did were efficient at check in but lacked the friendly warmth that we’ve enjoyed with all of our other hotels. This is the only reservation in Vietnam that we regret making as there are so many other options available.
