• Lainie (6/5): - We loved the view of Eiffel Tower and the easy access to the Metro. The neighbourhood was okay and we did find some good eateries. We didn’t like that the walls were paper thin and you could hear neighbours. Overall it’s in need of updates. The hotel could start with something more than “dixie” cups and better toilet paper.

We were right above a subway sandwiches so it did get loud and smokers at times. Location was convenient to the train and cafes. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful.

• WALIMUNI HASITHA MENDIS (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Splendid Hotel this spring! The view from our room of the Eiffel Tower was absolutely stunning. The hotel is charming and well located in the 15th arrondissement, close to several metro stations and popular tourist attractions. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which made everything very convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Claudia, who was helpful and kind throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Paris. Highly recommend this lovely hotel..we’d definitely stay again!

The balcony and the view of the Eiffel Tower though made it doable. Also the night staff man, I can’t remember his name, was absolutely hilarious and he made our stay even better!

• John (4/5): - this property is not how described in the pictures we were traveling with three people we were on the top floor. It said we would have a balcony there was no balcony and actually the bathroom was large, but it was so dated. The facility was clean and they had a nice breakfast but we were charged for the breakfast. I wasn’t happy that we didn’t have a balcony as described in the picture and the fact it almost looked like we were in servant quarters. The beds were great and housekeeping did a good job of cleaning up every day.

Nicole and the 2 gentleman's that worked at reception were exceptional. They helped us with transportation and my dietary needs for breakfast (gluten and dairy intolerant) The breakfast was delicious, including specialty coffees. I would have given it 5 stars but I found navigating the staircase to the elevator with luggages difficult.

Laundromat across the street was a plus but otherwise the location wasn't that great either. Would never stay here again. Much better options around for the price.

• bernard (8/5): Two Night Visit - The hotel was very comfortable, in a great location, the staff were wonderful, and it was very clean. However, it is difficult if you have heavy luggage or a lot of luggage. The elevator landing is halfway between the floors so you have to walk either up or down a set of stairs to get to your room. This can be difficult if you have a heavy suitcase. The staff were excellent as there was street constriction outside our window from 10 pm to 3 am. The night clerk offered a room at the back of the hotel away from the street. We moved and were able to get a good night’s sleep. Thank you for doing this.
• Doris (10/5): - The hotel staff were very special. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The breakfast selection large, with a good selection. Our room was clean with hardwood flooring. I would recondition this hotel. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower, seine river, sidewalk cafes and many small boutiques.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Think Twice Before Staying - I would not recommend this hotel. One major concern is their outdated key policy—guests are required to leave their room key at the front desk every time they leave, with no system in place to track who enters or exits the room. While the receptionist was friendly and helpful during check-in, my experience quickly became unsettling. After dropping off my luggage and turning on the AC, I left to purchase Eiffel Tower tickets. When I returned around 10:30–11:00 PM, I found the AC had been turned off, suggesting someone had entered my room while I was out—without any notice or explanation. The next morning, as I was preparing to check out and store my luggage, I discovered that my passport was missing. I’m certain it was with my belongings when I left the room. Unfortunately, despite searching thoroughly later, it was never recovered. This experience raised serious concerns about security and privacy. I urge future travelers to consider these issues before booking.

Our room was a little small but to be expected in a historical charming part of Paris. The staff is what makes this property really special. Claudia and Nathalie were so welcoming and warm and they were incredibly helpful. They gave us so many great tips to make our stay in Paris unforgettable. Claudia is a Whoot. So funny and sweet. • Sofía (10/5): - Si alguna vez regresamos a Paris definitivamente volveríamos ahí gracias a la amabilidad de Claudia, que gran persona, nos ayudo incluso diciéndonos que metro podíamos tomar, siempre atenta a nuestras dudas. El hotel en general es pequeño, pero para nosotros fue perfecto ya que solo lo utilizábamos para dormir, también es super céntrico podíamos ir a la torre Eiffel y alrededores caminando, tienen la opción de desayuno bastante sencillo y rico, lo necesario para que comiences el día. Lo único que no me gustó fue que mientras estábamos en el cuarto la persona de limpieza abrió la puerta, fue bastante incomodo ya que me encontraba terminando de acomodar mi ropa, agradecería nada más que tuvieran cuidado con eso, porque no es agradable que alguien ajeno entre mientras uno esta. Como sugerencia tal vez pudieran poner algún letrero de molestar, para que nadie entre cuando no se requerido. Pero sin problema regresaría de nuevo.

• Allison (4/5): - Staying at Splendid hotel was just okay. There was no AC and the room and bathroom were very small which is expected for a France hotel. There was an elevator but you were required to climb steps to the first floor in order to access the elevator. We had to return our room key each day as it was an actual door key, this meant they entered our room each day so we had to lock up our stuff in our luggage. There was breakfast that we had added on to our stay which was nice to have something quick before we would head out. Also very close to the train station. Not sure we would stay here again although it was in a good location.

• Jordan (2/5): - I would like to start off my saying that this is a HOSTEL NOT A HOTEL. DONT let the pictures fool you, the rooms are TINY. You would only fit comfortably with no luggage and only one person per room. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom. The shower is not big enough for the average adult. It is literally the size of an MRI machine. If you are claustrophobic this is not the place for you. The AC did not work and we were sweating all night and could not sleep comfortably. THERE IS ALSO NO HOUSE KEEPING. They have a sign in the bathroom that they “do not change towels everyday to converse water so if you need clean towels ask the front desk or put your towel on the shower floor” ??????. They also keep the linen in a dingy closet ( no wonder our sheets smelt bad). You also need to give your key to the man at the front deck every time you leave the hotel. The man at the front desk gave us a bad attitude when we were confused as to the process (he did not mention this when we checked in) and said “these are the house rules that you must follow, if i was at your house i would follow the rules.” This hotel is not accessible for those who cannot lift luggage or walk up and down stairs. We had to walk up a flight of stairs with our heavy luggage just to get to the elevator ( elevator only fits two people). If you are on an odd number floor the elevator will not drop you off on your floor. You will have to take the elevator to the floor above and walk down a flight of stairs.

• Leslie (10/5): - We booked a very lovely room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Our room was clean and has a very spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent and their coffee machine was always in working order and plenty of options such as espresso, cafe au lait or hot chocolate if you want something hot to drink right away. The location was convenient to the Metro and shopping local small businesses. My husband and I felt very safe when we stayed here. Word of caution though: our room had wood floors and you can definitely hear what your neighbors in the next room are doing. The staff were friendly and always greet you with a smile and a "Bon jour/ soir." I would definitely recommend and would be returning in the future.
• Lesley (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay at The Splendid Hotel, and I was given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower which was very special. Very friendly staff; always helpful. Close to transport, etc. I didn't take the breakfast option, but it all looked nice. The only slight things were that the lift stops in-between the floors, so you still have to take your suitcase up a few stairs to your floor. I thought it was great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

• Mersina (8/5): - This hotel was in a great location and only 20 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. Staff were very friendly and could speak good English. We have breakfast there and they had a range of items available and good coffee. Room was very small and with 2 large suitcases it made it a bit difficult. We stayed in a Double Room and we had a very tiny window above our bed. We would definitely stay here again but would choose a bigger room. We were on the 6th floor and the lift stops at levels 1,3 and 5 and there are a few steps up or down to your floor. You just need to be a little careful and we had no problem managing them.

• Patricia (6/5): - walking distance to a metro station, lots of shopping in the area, some dining options. Room is very tight, in true typical Paris fashion. The most annoying part of the stay was the elevator as I had a heavy suitcase.. they only had elevator stops mid-level, yes.. you read that right. The elevators do not stop on each level, they open on to a stair case half way between each level, so you have to carry your bags either up or down half a flight of stairs to get to your floor. Very odd..

Bed was comfortable and linens great. I definitely recommend! Breakfast was great as well. Staff was very accommodating!

• Edward (10/5): Perfect Stay! - We were so pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The service we received was absolutely exceptional! It was lovely to have such a friendly face (we did not get a name but lovely lady with curly hair). She offered us everything we needed and more; particularly when we missed breakfast due to an Olympic event and she gave us some cookies later in the afternoon. The rooms are well looked after and beds made up everyday. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic, will 100% recommend to anyone who asks!

The staff were friendly, location was walking distance to Eiffel Tower and we had the tower view from our balcony which was my dream!! Worth the extra few dollars, in my opinion!!! Only negative thing, carry your suitcase a few steps because elevators are placed the the staircase… weird but still a great hotel to stay!!!
• Danielle (10/5): - The breakfast buffet had a good selection of options and the start and end times were good to allow for earlier risers as well as those that might not wake up until 9am. The safe was standard size, which was big enough to fit a passport and tote purse. There’s an open air market around the corner one day of the weekend (Sunday?). The hotel is also within walking distance of the metro. So want to note that you’ll have to walk up 1/2 a flight to catch the elevator, which stops on every other floor. It is an older building, so you can hear a bit through the walls - I could hear when my neighbors across the hall were coming in and out of their room. The hallways were narrow.

A/C worked and blew cold air. The hotel is a little older so your key is from the castle of Narnia with a giant metal ball of some sorts. The elevator is VERY small. I’m a big dude and my aunt and cousin barely fit in there. Besides that, overall good experience.

She helped us from our 1st meal in Paris to sending me a beautiful bouquet of roses to my room for my 60th Birthday 🎂 She really made our visit to Paris amazing!!

• Harmonie (6/5): - Only stayed for 1 night — wonderful front desk staff but after staying at the Best Western Montcalm previously for half the price, it was difficult to rate higher since we had a better view, more room space and nicer bathroom at the Best Western. The building is old and stairs to the elevator aren’t ideal but it definitely has the charm of paris.
• Angelita (6/5): - The property location is okay. 2 rides using the metro to Louvre. Staff are very helpful, the bed is presented nicely and clean sheets and towels. The room and the bathroom is quite small, no room to be moving around. AC is working well. My only issue about this hotel is the elevator. The elevator is located on the 1st floor but, you have to go through about between 8-9 steps(if I’m not mistaken with numbers), the elevator stop on the 5th floor, we then need to go up more steps to reach to the sixth floor, where our room is located. It was an attic with 1 window on the ceilings. We have 2 heavy luggage to take so, you can imagine how we struggled. The picture in their advertisement is quite wrong; they are advertising false advertisement! Only show the good side of the hotel! I expected a better room with a window that I can enjoy the view. I did request for balcony with the view but I did not get it, which okay I supposed but the steps I don’t know? one day one of their guest will have a fall and they will be in a big trouble; it’s a big OHHS issue!

• lauren (10/5): - Most of all, the staff were so friendly, kind, and helpful! They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was also delicious. The hotel itself was quaint; not a modern place, room was a little bit small but we were happy nonetheless:) very clean. A little less than a mile walk to the Eiffel Tower, lots of restaurants/cafes in walking distance. Thank you for a great stay!

• Eric (8/5): A nice quite botique hotel - A quiet botique hotel, they were nice enough to upgrade our room to one that sleeps 3. The breakfast was really nice, the sheets were really comfortable. Our room was a little cold for our liking and the beds were a little stiff. Other than that it was a great stay.
• Anna Liza M. (8/5): - The hotel location is nice. Breakfast is ok but it’s the same everyday. The hard part is the elevator. If you have big and heavy luggages make sure you are ready to carry them. The elevator is situated in the middle of the staircase. The staircase is spiral and narrow. And the elevator only stop on even numbers. I don’t recommend if you have lots and heavy luggages. Overall it is ok. But may want to check other hotels.
• Brigitte (10/5): Petite hôtel de charme et tranquille. - Petite hôtel sympathique avec le charme qu’on s’attend de retrouver à Paris. La chaleureuse Claudia nous a accueilli avec le sourire et enthousiasme. Elle a toujours un bon conseil à vous donnez. L’hôtel est bien entretenue et a été rénové avec goût. Tout le mobilier est neuf. Les lits et oreillers sont confortables. Serviettes sont très grandes, épaisses et moelleuses. Chambre un peu petite et la douche est exigüe. Déjeuner copieux et savoureux. Grande variété d’aliments et de breuvage. Atmosphère tranquille autant dans l’immeuble que le quartier. Très bien situé. Claudia nous a recommandé un resto italien sorti tout droit de Napoli, un incontournable. Le nom est MaisonMozza 15e Violet.
• Joshua (10/5): - Great property! We had an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower from our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also called a driver for us to get to the airport. Wonderful French breakfast for free. Would stay again!
• lissette (10/5): - This was such a amazing experience, the breakfast was my favorite part, there staff are very attentive, even when it came down to the last day we didn't go downstairs to eat and they called us reminding us that the breakfast was finishing. The rooms are super cute but small for my taste. They do go and clean everyday change towels and take out the garbage you have inside. Overall I give them a 7 out of 10.
