• Jason (9/5): - It was quite a good stay overall. It’s clear that the owner put a lot of heart and soul into every detail of the property. To reach our room on the top floor, you have to climb the final flight of stairs as there is no lift for the last floor. It felt a bit dark and scary at first.

• Ian (4/5): Nice room and friendly staff but poor quality food and inconvenient location - The room was very comfortable with very good facilities, including a kitchenette and a Delonghi coffee machine. The bathroom had a bath and a shower and everything was clean and checked daily. The reception staff were helpful with directions and generally friendly. Staring with the things that the hotel could change: The "very good breakfast" advertised in the app was poor - much of the hot food was cold even at the earliest serving (cooked vegetables served cold from the fridge, the coffee machine was refilled with cold coffee; yes, this really happened); yet some of the yoghurts weren't refrigerated; the food was mediocre; some of the kitchen staff were lounging in the eating area while the empty food buffet wasn't being replenished. Easily the worst breakfast service I've seen in years. The sauna never seemed to be open; I was incorrectly informed that it was available 24/7 but when I visited in the basement of the hotel the lights were all out - both in the morning and the evening. The hot water running out late in the evening was inconvenient - happened more than once. Finally, the location is (as mentioned in other reviews) about 7km out of the centre, which on average means a taxi ride of about 30 minutes. The area has some restaurants but is nothing of interest - just a residential area that was not worth walking around - and the AQI was terrible every day we were there so walking for more than 10 minutes gave us breathing issues. Also, the prices in the local restaurants did not reflect the food quality in terms of value for money.

• Li Chieh (8/5): - I really like the hotel’s design, and the bed is very comfortable. Although the location is a bit far from the city center, the neighborhood has everything we need. The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is quiet and comfortable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Hanoi. It’s a beautiful hotel, but unfortunately the bathroom cleanliness could be improved. There was a noticeable moldy smell, and mold could be seen in several corners of the bathroom. It would be much better if anti-mold cleaner were used regularly. Also, the room includes a small kitchenette, but it is not usable, which is a bit disappointing.

• VIJITHA (10/5): - The location is about 30 minutes away from most of the attractions. However, I have been using Grab app for taxi, so it worked out. You can use BE or Grab for taxi or bike ride. It very affordable. HOTEL is located in the business area as I landed on Sunday, and it was very quiet, and most things were closed. Monday morning, it was a busy bustling with office peoples and small food shops every corner. Except the location, everything else was fine.

My room had so much lightning and options to turn on or off, that I was exploring all those things for a long while. There are many restaurants, cafes and stores around this hotel. Many restaurants and shops in walking distance. The hotel was well located for my conference and a 30 minute taxi ride for 3euro brings you to the center . The hotel is small and did.not offer a place to close the day with a drink — the bar on the top floor was closed. There are other options nearby though.

• Alison (6/5): False Advertising, Ruined Christmas - This is a really nice hotel, and the spa and its staff was amazing, but unfortunately management has changed and now this listing is full of false advertising. Should the listing have been changed to what is actually offered and the price reduced, we would have been very happy here. Instead, it was one of the worst places we stayed in Vietnam because of how much we paid (it was an expensive treat for Christmas) and how much we were let down. -The "Free Shuttle" service they offer between the hotel and the Old Quarter is no longer offered. We were told it stopped after management changed (it is still offered in the listing). You are literally in the middle of nowhere here, with no tourist-friendly establishments nearby. We chose this hotel despite the bad location because of the positive reviews for the free shuttle. -The Sky Bar is no longer in use. We went up there and it is now a dusty unused rooftop. This is the reason we booked the hotel, so we could have drinks there for Christmas. Bitterly disappointed. -Room services ends at 2pm (what kind of hotel does this?) We were going to order room service for Christmas dinner. Again, hugely disappointed. Even when we tried to order room service within hours, some items were not available. -We booked with the offer of late check out on booking.com. Checkout time online was 1pm, however from 12pm we got phone calls asking when we were going to check out. Then they hassled us the whole time while we were packing to leave. -As other reviews say, breakfast is almost empty an hour before it finishes, with no replenishes. Even budget accommodation I've stayed in will ensure food is replenished until the time stated. We ate cold scraps most days. -Staff are rude and unempathetic and act like they don't want to speak to you. We were welcomed at 1am by a very nice man who stayed up for us, but for the rest of the trip the lady working reception had zero care and treated us like an inconvenience. The cafe worker did not even smile or acknowledge us either. I've never had such unfriendly hospitality in Vietnam, and it made me want to cry. I told the receptionist of all our grievances during our stay as I like to deal with things in the moment rather than leaving a review after the fact. We were told she would talk to the manager to get a fee reduction. We never heard from them and were not apologised to for the false advertising.
