Ruined my trip to Amsterdam. - You get to spend every day chasing and following up with customer support for help after receiving a room in horrible state, only to be provided lies till you check out. Meanwhile they have no intention of addressing anything. Paid for a room with a tv, good luck you get to stare at a dirty tv for 5 days or however long your stay is. You get to carry your suitcases up 3 flights of very steep stairs. You get to enjoy the same bedding and towels with no cleaning even for 5 days and a privilege to pay for cleaning if you requests it for a long stay. On the flip side, the lady working at the property on the day I checked out was kind HORRIBLE Customer support. My room had a million and one issues ... Broken TV for the entire 5 day stay, no cleaning other than change of sheets or even fresh towels in 5days. I arrived and found a room that looked clean but there were hairs on the pillow cases - so I requested for fresh pillowcases - I'm still waiting ... :-) Very grimy, nasty, dirty tv remote with buttons clogged with dirt. Very dirty and nasty shower curtain with a grimy brown dirt line at the bottom and blood stains. Very uncomfortable pillows. SAFETY PROBLEM. - No door locks on the inside, latch or door lock chain. Anyone with the code like the staff could just open and come in without the occupant's knowledge or consent. Even something as basic in hospitality as Do Not Disturb door hangers.I asked for them on night one. 5 days later I had to check out still waiting. The room I received was NOT like in the pictures. I received a bed with only 2 pillows not as photographed. I raised all these issues with the property's customer service after my first night ... they did nothing. Just kept promising "someone will pop by tomorrow" but nothing was done .... EVEN the fresh towels I requested! For all these inconveniences, the property saw it wise to ignore me and instead offer me a measly 30euros refund. Think of it as half a euro for every minute I wasted with customer service. Before the property responds to this review with some PR statement, I've gotta clarify the many times I had to follow up with customer service on a daily basis... No, you deliberately refused to address my concerns and completely ruined my stay in Amsterdam. They should change their motto to "We host with incompetence, horrible customer support and a touch of racism."

The room itself is nice, as well as the whole building. The bathroom was beautiful, marble tiles and a huge mirror. The discount on luggage-storage around town was a nice feature. Additional deposit of 200€ to confirm the reservation only AFTER you already booked via booking was a bit funny to me… No clear stating before booking that smoking cigs/marih. on the balcony is permitted, i mean that was the whole reason why we wanted a balcony. The room was really cold and due to the age of the building poorly isolated. We turned on the radiator and the heater and still froze. An extra bedding or sheets, would’ve been nice.

• Ruby (8/5): Lovely location and very clean, nice room. Stairs are steep so be warned if you have mobility issues! - The location is handy for the tram and a lovely area. The room was gorgeous and had plenty of storage for clothes etc. Bathroom and bedroom were exceptionally clean. I would stay here again! Should have read reviews RE the steep stairs as we struggled upon arrival and leaving with luggage up and and down the stairs. Only one pillow per person, most places offer two and I struggled to sleep because of this.

There was no radiator in the bathroom, and no rugs on the floor it got cold. There wasn’t enough pillows on the bed, TV remote didn’t work properly, wasn’t warned about how steep the stairs were and no lift.

Fire alarm went off at 7 am waking the whole builidng up and everyone had to rusb down stairs and wait in the cold in panic. It was a false alar and The alarm kept ringing for 3 hours straight.... Room is small.
• Wassila (7/5): Agréable, même si un ascenseur et des serviettes promotes n’auraient pas été de refus. - L’emplacement est parfait. 30 minutes à pied du centre, 15/20 minutes en transports. De plus il y a un Lidl en face de l’hôtel, parfait pour acheter de quoi dépanner. La salle de bain est grande, propre et agréable. La couette est bien chaude est confortable. Le wifi fonctionne bien. Les escaliers sont horribles, ils ressemblent plus à une échelle qu’à de vrais escaliers. J’ai du monter mon énorme valise de plus de 20kg seule (je fais moins d’1m60). Très dangereux. Nous sommes resté presque 1 semaine le ménage n’a pas été fait une seule fois, plein de poussière à la fin de la semaine, les serviettes n’ont pas été changé, nous n’avions rien pour nettoyer le sol. Nous avons été réveillé par une alarme à incendie à 8h du matin(nous étions en train de dormir et souhaitions profiter de nos vacances pour nous reposer). Nous sommes restées dehors dans le froid pendant près d’une demie heure sans savoir ce qu’il se passait. Impossible de contacter l’établissement sur WhatsApp et nous avons eu une réponse automatique au mail… L’alarme a continuer de sonner jusqu’à 9h30… Nous nous sommes préparées avec ce bruit stressant qui m’a rendu malade plus tard dans la matinée. Très stressant .

It’s really not suitable for long stays because if you have to take up suitcases let alone yourself up the stairs all the way to the top floor it’s a safety risk. The showers, it leaks a lot of water on the floor when you shower. There’s only one pillow per person on the bed, and there’s no shelves in the shower. We only stayed for two of the nights vs the three nights we booked due to my knees being in a lot of pain. Yes I understand it’s Amsterdam but I think it’s only fair to give a friendly warning to your guests, especially if you are on the top floor, Suite 301

• Rayan (7/5): Clean, decent rooms but no front desk service. - The rooms are clean and the area is peaceful and quiet a lot of locals and close to what you need to see in Amsterdam. If you’re traveling with luggage, this is not the best place to stay. There no elevator, no reception and no door stoppers in the rooms. So if you’re planning to get your bags up one by one with the hassle of going and climbing three stories up, make sure you put a chair in front the door because if you get locked out, good luck! I literally had to knock on a guest door and have them help me contact customer support because my phones in my luggage and everything was locked inside! I know this is my bad, but I had a nine hour flight was tired and not thinking straight. Haha.

The window curtains had stains, bed linen had a little grey stain and the sheer window curtain could use some ironing, it would look better. I do not understand the need for 200 euro deposit for a single 3-night stay, not everyone has that kind of money on hand and information about that was not available/not clearly said before the booking was done.

De verdad que acerté en la elección. Muchas gracias. No es una pega, pero como información para el visitante, las escaleras, si llevan maletas son muy pendientes, pero es normal en ese tipo de edificio.
• Carolina (6/5): If you want a place that is cheaper than most places and enjoy sharing the TV with a free ghost - You get what you pay for. It's cheaper than a lot of other places, so you cannot really expect more than it offers. The bed was very comfortable and for the small size of the room, it fit everything we needed and had room for 2 girls to get ready. The bathroom has nice lighting, even though it took some getting used to how you have to wave your hand to adjust it and when you get too close to it while getting ready, it might unexpectedly turn off. A lot of closet space so we could unpack our things there. Great small table you can sit behind. Nice big modern TV you can connect to your streaming platforms. Easy to get inside the building with codes they send you fast. Location is very good, not in the literal centre, but close to the area young locals hang out. We walked through the whole Amsterdam, so we found the location to be very good. Quite funny that the bathroom is behind literal built in closet doors that do not lock and are quite thin. Unexpected, but it was okay. Bathroom could really use a better sink a faucet since the area around the sink was always full of water from turning the faucet on and off and using soap. We had a weird TV using experience. It almost seemed like the TV was controlled by someone else (honestly felt like a ghost lol), because it would randomly turn on and off, it would move up and down, turn the volume off and so on. We had a theory that maybe the neighbours remote was also reaching our room and maybe we were both changing settings for each other, but who knows. We contacted the accommodation about it and although they responded quickly, their response was to send a video of it happening and it's not sth you can predict and catch on camera, so we just left it as it is. Had a small stain on the bedsheet, but nothing major to not stay here. Could benefit from having a few more amenities like a small fridge and an iron. Our room was located in the basement and the windows were facing the street so you can hear noise from outside well and smell people smoking. But again, it's okay for a few days of stay, you will live. Never been to a place via booking that requires a deposit, so that was definitely new and no ideal.

The digital access to the building and room was really simple and easy to check in. The room was quite warm, the windows didn't stay open. There was a fan but would have been good to have AC. The stairs leading up to the room are quite steep, not suitable with someone with mobility issues.

• Anamaria (9/5): Good but could be better. - Everything is new and well maintained. Location is perfect , walked everyday to the city center but close as well to the tram. No towels change or cleaning service throughout the stay. The payment of 200 euros that you have to make separately so that the check in will be confirmed, it should be written on the booking before paying for the room and also be automated, not having to check my booking messages. Room was small but understandable and manageble.

• Anouk - Felizitas (7/5): Schönes zimmer aber zu viele Nachteile - Das Zimmer war schön und modern. Bett gemütlich. Lage gut. Ich finde es geht gar nicht das einem nicht von Anfang an gesagt wird das man 200€ Kaution zahlen muss. Man bucht das Hotel, kann es nicht stornieren und bekommt dann erst nach der Buchung gesagt, dassKaution verlangt wird. Das muss man schon vorher wissen! Am Balkon durfte man nicht rauchen sonst 150€ Strafe was ich total lächerlich finde. Im Bad war nur 1 Handtuchhalter und wenn man die Regendusche angemacht hat stand der halbe Boden unter Wasser. Dafür war das Bad sehr geschmackvoll ausgewählt. Treppen reinste Katastrophe aber das ist in Amsterdam ja normal. Das mit dem Türcode hat gut funktioniert. Es war leider sehr heiß weil es keine Klima gab.
• Kjell (10/5): Gezellige, ruime kamer. - Ruime en propere kamer. Niet veel lawaai, waarschijnlijk omdat we helemaal boven zaten. Rustige omgeving. Makkelijk binnen te komen met de codes die je krijgt. Geen airco of koelkast op de kamer (maar we wisten dit op voorhand).
• Kasia Demczenko (6/5): A bit disappointing - The location is great, in the best spot, close to city center, next to supermarket. I have got a quiet room like I asked which was at the top floor. Very nice, spaciaous room. The check in experience is terrible, lack of information after you fill out the form that it has been received and when you will receive the access codes to the property. But they remember to spam you with plenty reminder to do the check in, before your arrival. After you do it - radio silence. So I would expect a better customer service. Had to message the information as I havent heard within 1 week answer back after doing check in online. They have extra charge of 200 Euros as deposit - it's been 7 days and Im still waiting to get it back. Will definitely not book with them again for that reason. Bathroom is lacking shelves in the shower area to put shampoo and other bathing products, so you have to constantly put them on the floor?! bending on a wet floor is far from ideal

• Liam (6/5): Require a security deposit that only told about once paid, broken window, blood stains on bed,floor. - bed was extremely comfortable and the location was ideal. powerful fan In room and good shower. it was dirty, old socks and food rappers left in the wardrobe and what appeared to be blood stains on the duvet sheet and the carpet/throw. the clasp and hook for opening the window was broke so the window couldn’t be kept open which wasn’t ideal in 27 degree heat. Although there was a very powerful fan. No iron or ironing board which was disappointing considering the price. Also once you’ve paid for the room you have to also make a security deposit, don’t even have to do that in London!

• Shirley (6/5): As a solo traveller I didn't feel safe - Firstly be aware there is no lift and the stairs are very steep Entrance is via a key code number, both at the front door and for your room. Firstly I found dirty underwear and t-shirt in the wardrobe. There is no lock on the inside of the bedroom door. Which did make me feel a little vulnerable. Especially when the "do not disturb sign" could not be put on the door as it wouldn't allow the door to close as the sign is too big One day the cleaner did just walk in whilst I was sleeping. Another time I literally bumped into the cleaner as I was leaving. But she never came in to clean the room once. The communal landing and stairs were grubby and needed hoovering. On the entrance to the property, on the stone stairs leading to the entrance, there was rubbish there including empty spliff containers, that were there when I arrived and still there when I left.

• Kevin (8/5): Good stay room needs freshened up more regular - Location was good room was nice Never changed the towels for five days. You have a back garden but nieghbours constantly through there lit cigarette butts in it
• Simon (10/5): Very pleasant - Cozy old townhouse, good location. Clean rooms.
