Guest Reviews
- Julia (10/5): - Super attentive accommodation! Would definitely stay here again!
- Emma (10/5): - We walked from the train station and it wasn’t too hard to find with a 15 minute walk. Good communication from hotel admin beforehand so had check in details ready before we arrived and could check in straight away at 2pm. We had the loft apartment which was up a few flights of stairs but this was well worth it when we saw the view from the balcony. The ceilings were low which was tricky for navigating as tall people, but the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was very small and compact. We enjoyed the location with good access to lots of places to eat and supermarket nearby.
- Shelby (10/5): - Responsive staff and very easy to walk around to different parts of the city!
- Jeff (10/5): Great location in Venice - We were very happy with our choice in this hotel! Spent four nights there. Definitely recommend. However, the only issue with this place is that you have to go to another hotel that is over 600 metres away to go check in and get your codes for the entry and room which could by easily done electronically.
- Lisa (10/5): - We were in a fantastic spot and the hotel to check in is only 5-10 minute walk away. The water taxi from the airport took us right up to the hotel on the canal. The staff were honestly so lovely and helped us in every way. The Fosca rooms were clean and we honestly enjoyed our stay so much - I think the only thing it could do with are some shelves in the bathroom. I would really recommend staying here.
- Jean (10/5): - Quiet neighbourhood, close to major attractions, room and bathroom were very clean.
- paul (10/5): - Great location. But we had three adults and the pull out bed was terrible. Our third person couldn't sleep in it. No sheets either. And we had two instant coffee packets for two nights. Other than that it was a great location.
- Pilar (10/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable and in a great location for getting around the city. Staff was very responsive and helpful in providing information on how to get from the train station to the hotel. We look forward to staying here again for future visits.
- Karlee (10/5): - Nice quiet room, easy to find, great communication with check-in. We stayed in the very top room with lovely views
- Alejandra (10/5): - Perfect!
- Helen (6/5): - I booked other accommodation. While the place was clean and the staff super helpful - from the pictures of my booking it was not what I booked.
- Tess (10/5): - The room was lovely, clean, big, modern, with a nice view of the canal and nearby Chiesa. It's in a perfect location, just off the main walking path through Venice so it's always easy to find, but also in the beautiful Cannaregio area, with great restaurants and shops nearby. I definitely recommend staying here!
- Angela (10/5): - The best part about this property is the staff. Almost immediate communication, anytime, and strong desire effort to make sure everything is good.
- Kaja (8/5): - good location, has all you need for a few nights!
- Simon (10/5): Stay in August 2025 - Nice location, 15 min. walk from the train station. Our room was clean and comfortable with a view on the canal. No breakfast but there are lots of options nearby. Be aware that you have to check-in in advance in order to get the code to enter the property. The check-in counter is in another hotel and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Thanks again to our wonderful host Marina
- Christopher (10/5): - This property was amazingly good, however there wasnt any shower gel/soap on arrival. Its conveniently close to great dining options and the water taxi. If i were to visit Venice again i would stay here again. Note, there are no elevators so you will have to use the staircase with your suitcase.
- Angelita (8/5): - Everything is excellent. Except for the noise in the adjacent room. We can here everything. Especially at 4am when intimate relationship happened. The light also reflect in our room from underneath the door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic balcony with a view in room number 5 (top floor)
- Jennifer (10/5): - The view from the room was great. The shower was very nice. However, the sound proofing could use some work
- Sondre (10/5): - We had a great stay. The location was amazing, the room was nice and had a nice view of the canals.
- Shuk Ching (10/5): - Spacious and comfortable, great location!
- Roxana (10/5): - Beautiful place !!! The pool is perfect when everything is close and you have extra time to cool off in the pool
- David (8/5): - The view was fantastic.
The key is not easy to open the door.
No instructions for the TV
Had to contact staff about the mini split(s) in the room.
- Mike (10/5): - Front desk was very friendly and helped us out in many ways. Helped us find a great place to eat dinner and set us up with breakfast bags because we had to leave early for a tour
- TATIA (10/5): - The best place to stay!Room was like 5star hotels. Air conditioning was open when we entered the room and it was so good, cause we did have to stay in hot room. Room was extra clean. No mosquitoes! Coffee / tea / bottle water.
- Nikki (8/5): - Property as advertised, clean with balcony overlooking canal and square. Excellent air conditioning. Fridge and cupboards. No reception so have to check in at sister hotel about 1km away. Can leave bags at other hotel. Very friendly staff. Easy access and good location. Would stay again. Quiet.
- Rebecca (8/5): - Property was lovley, cool and clean, great location, easy walking distance for all things we wahted to see
- Julie (10/5): - The location was great! It was comfortable and clean. We had a good experience and the staff was very nice.
- Chris (10/5): Excellent apartment & location - We really enjoyed our stay at Fosca Venice Rooms, location was great not far from the station in a nice quiet area, although it’s above a bar it’s a quiet bar & we didn’t hear any noise. The top floor apartment was amazing, clean & tidy with a balcony over the canal. Easy clear check in with luggage storage at the hotel not far from the apartment with friendly helpful staff - would definitely recommend, thank you for letting us stay
- Dawn (10/5): - Clean, well kept rooms in a safe area.
Reception desk is at another location.
Beds are very low to the floor which could be a problem for some. Wasn't for us. Close to many shops and restaurants. Twenty minute walk to the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica and Square.
- Karen (10/5): - Wonderful stay at a beautiful property in lovely neighbourhood of Venice. Staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and we would happily recommend and visit again in the future.
- Delyse (8/5): - Compact but a good location, views and modern decor.
Being able to hear the chatter from neighbouring guests was however uncomfortable probably for both occupants.
- faramarz (8/5): - Very good location and nice view of the river. Wish the bathroom was a bit bigger.
- Maile (8/5): - Overall, we had a good stay. The check in process was a bit unconventional. We had been in communication with them through whatsapp. We weren’t given any codes until we were standing outside the building. Once we were in, the room and bathroom were very clean. It was a small room but did exactly what we needed. However, we did have some issues our second night. There were people staying in the room next to us. We are pretty sure our rooms used to be connected as there was a locked door. We could hear everything they were saying or doing. It was especially frustrating when it was 5:30am and all we wanted to do was sleep. The rooms are advertised as soundproofed but they are not. Otherwise this was a great stay!
- Maggie (10/5): - Clean and renovated. Had everything we needed, a kettle, coffee, tea, soap and shampoo… etc. excellent friendly staff. Great location.
- Camilo (10/5): - Comfortable, clean, great view of a small canal
- Zoë (10/5): - Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable, everything we needed for our 2-night stay in Venice. The location is ideal, walking distance to everything. I would definitely recommend.
- Gary (4/5): - Location and view were excellent--a canal and piazza just below the windows and food and drink choices galore within a few steps. Downside: level 2 is like 3rd floor in USA, and there is no elevator. The bed is only 7 inches above the floor. If you are old or have arthritis, beware.
- Jeff (10/5): - Fun place. Liked it
- Thomas (8/5): Good location, small functional(ish) room - Location is great, right next to a small square, above a bar/cafe, and on a canal.
although note it is a 10 min walk (with 4 bridges) to their sister hotel, where luggage can be stored.
Check-in by WhatsApp worked fine.
Room itself small but functional. No surfaces to put anything on, bed very low (almost on the floor) but small fridge was useful. Cleaning service was good.
Bathroom is small, and no shelf/table to put any items on.
- Stephen (10/5): - We love the location and the contactless
- Helen (10/5): - Excellent location. Nice room.
- Matthew (8/5): - Fantastic! So clean and perfectly situated to explore Venice, 15 minute walk to St Marks Square
In a quieter neighbourhood so dining options where much more affordable
Cannot recommend enough, would stay again
- Christa (8/5): - Hard to find, poor directions given. But good after that!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - False advertising. Our room didn’t look anything like the advertisement. Very disappointing.
- Wlodzimierz (8/5): - The only issue was with a bathroom next door that was separated by a locked door which allowed a lot of unwelcomed sounds...
- Ricardo (10/5): - Great Location. Clean and New Property. Easy check in and out. Will recommend to family and friends.
- Claudia (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. We were expecting average from the reviews but we were pleasantly suprised. Online check in was easy so we could arrive straight to the room. The room was spacious and very clean as well as the bathroom. We had the upper level with a balcony which had a view of the canals and bridge below which was really nice. There is a bar down below on the ground of the building but because we stayed mid week it was never too noisy. The staff were super helpful with check out, we were allowed to leave our bags at another hotel about a 10 min walk away. Great location and great clean & big room for the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Small room with thin walls. - Very small room and uncomfortable bed. The walls between the room and next door were very thin and you could hear the conversation of the guests next door as if they were in the same room. The room was clean, however, and the location was good with a lovely view of the canal.
- Thanadon (10/5): - Is within walking distance from everything!
- Gunter (10/5): Lovely - Charming rooftop room with balcony, clean and well maintained. Could not be better...
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Booked this for my daughter and her boyfriend to attend Carnivale. They loved it.
- Luca (8/5): Small but very nice room in Cannaregio Venice - The location is superb and the room is immaculate. Customer service was excellent, responsive and courteous. I generally enjoyed my stay. On the downside, besides the size of the room (which is very small), the main issue is its location right above a pub that can get very busy and noisy at night. I was on the first floor and this was a bit of an issue on Friday and Saturday, when loud music could be heard into the small hours.
- Jenna (10/5): - Easy check in, room was very clean and the location was excellent.
- François (6/5): - Bien dans l’ensemble correspond a la description sauf promiscuité sonore avec la chambre adjacente inadmissible.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place - Awesome base to explore Venice. Close to waterbus stops and has a great selection of food and drinks close by.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location and view. The host is great and responsive to provide all the instructions we need to get to the hotel. Please note there is no reception at this hotel and it's all using code to enter which works fine for us.
- Robert (6/5): A Good Stay. - Like most places, it's a little hard to find at first but once you know where it is, it's easy. It's about a 15-20 minute walk along one of the main streets from the Train Station.
There is NO RECEPTION DESK here and you'd have to do your Check In online, which we were not able to complete as we were mid-travel. We had to check in at another location, a fair distance when dragging luggage, and of course, we had to find that place too. If you can complete the Online Check In and pay the required City Tax, you'll be given a Code to enter the building and your room. That would have worked quite well except, again, we were in mid travel and had to store our luggage on day of Arrival anyway and we had to go to the other Hotel to do so, and they were VERY NICE to us.
It's not a big place and no elevator, which we managed but please keep that in mind.
It was enough for our needs, indeed, and liked our stay. The room we had was a little small, bathroom was fine, we certainly enjoyed our time in Venice as it wasn't all about the hotel.
We had a basic room, it had a fridge, a 2-3 Star stay, which is what we knew we were getting when we booked.
I hope that helps.
- Antonio (8/5): - Once we found where the property was, the instructions weren’t really clear, the room was nice and clean. We had a corner room looking out the canal, the room is great for two people with small luggage. Not much room to store luggage. The only negative is the noise. Although the description indicates sound proof rooms, it’s true for outside noise, however we heard the conversation from folks above and next to our room.
Location was great, walking distance to train, bus and vaporetto station and main attractions. Getting in an out of room and building is done with numeric keypad, no key(s).
Overall would recommend this property, if ok with possibly hearing some noise from adjacent rooms.
- Yasuyuki (10/5): - We stayed for 1 night in north Venice, and the staff are very responsive to contact me by Whatsapp, so I can ask any favors like check in time, good restaurant, etc. It is located at the north part of Venice, but it is walkable to go to everywhere even to walk to Santa Maria in 1 hour. I assure you that the hotel is quite clean and there are millions of great busling restaurants, but really quiet while late night&midnight.
- Brandy (10/5): - Beautiful view of the canal and a church. Woke up on sunday to church bells ringing throughout the city was beautiful. Lots of restaurants, shopping, bars and close to anywhere you needed or wanted to be. Short walk from the train station to hotel. The checkin staff was lovely to deal with over the phone and gave us all the information we would need when we arrived before we got there. The cleaning staff were in and out before we knew they were even coming. Went for breakfast and came back to everything done. There was some white mold around a heater unit that looks like past water damage that needs to be taken care of. Had lots of windows to open and enjoy the sounds of Venice along with the sunshine, and warm temperatures. Was a gathering on the street each night but we loved hearing the laughter and music of the people having a beautiful time in the city.
- Roni (10/5): - The location of the hotel was good, about 10-15min walk from the train or water bus stations. It was right along one of the main passageways, while still being far enough to avoid most of the noise.
The room was modern, clean, and had a nice view. Unfortunately the AC seemed to be "heating only".
The check-in process was done via WhatsApp, which felt sketchy at first, but ended up working well enough.
Especially for the price, I will surely check if this hotel is available when I'm visiting Venice the next time.
- Dylan (10/5): - Für Venedig-Verhältnisse ein sehr gutes, modernes Hotel. Sehr weiterzuempfehlen.
- Maria (8/5): Nice location, a bit noisy - Good location close to restaurants, shopping, and Vaporetto stops. However, the rooms are above a bar that closes at 2am so it does get loud at night. The walls are also super thin so you will hear your neighbors. Check-in process went smooth but it was online (unless you want to walk to another hotel for check-in) and I was not informed of that until 2 days prior to arrival.
- Braden (10/5): - Amazing location. Not too busy. Beautiful view from our room. Very comfortable bed.
- May (8/5): - It is good for the price
- Megan (8/5): - This is a nice option in be Venice. It’s near coffee shops and restaurants. The air conditioning works great. The only issue we had is our room shared a very thin door between ours and an adjoining room. There was quite a bit of space under the door and on one side so much so that we could see light coming through, and could hear every noise they made. It’s not that relaxing if you can hear your neighbors and they can hear you so clearly. Also the fridge didn’t really seem to work or get cold at all. But these may be minor things to some people and we’re not deal breakers for us. The hotel was clean and good otherwise.
- Daniel (10/5): - Very well organized, easy to check in
- GRACE (10/5): - Amazing stay!! Will book in a heartbeat!!!
- Maria E (10/5): Amazing stay in Venice!!! - Absolutely amazing stay in an excellent location within Venice. Highly recommended!!!
- Stephen (10/5): - Easy collection of keys from hotel Antico doge. Less then a 10 min walk to Apartment a few bridges along the way.
Room on top floor (3 flights of stairs)
Apartment very clean and great air conditioning required in the summer. Room was very clean with kettle and fridge. Bed very comfortably and had a great nights sleep. 😴 enjoyed breakfast on the balcony.
- Jordan (10/5): - Nice property, easy to find and staff were helpful about the key situation! Nice views from the room and easy to get around the city, 15m walk from the train station!
- Alla (10/5): - Very clean, modern room, nice view, perfect location
- M (10/5): Great location - The Fosca Rooms don't have a reception (as they have mentioned) ...so put their number on your WhatsApp. They will send the code for the front door and to your room (rooms also has a digital lock). Don't forget to add # after the 4 digit code. Stayed in Rm 1, it is small but good enough for 1. Bathroom has a rain shower, heated towel rail; room has AC. Great nar on the ground floor and very nice café across the bridge. By the way it's on the canal. Great spot. No tourists. Will be back
- Stephanie (4/5): - The room and the property was clean, however the bed was very hard, the furniture was cheap and coming apart and the noise and smoke from the downstairs bar, combined with the homeless man yelling all night and the construction that started at 7:30am made for the worst sleep I’ve had since travelling Europe. I closed the shutters and the windows, however there are two vents that go directly outside and the noise and smoke kept me up. Very disappointed at my stay.
- Claudio (10/5): - Clean and well kept. Good location
- Nick (10/5): Wonderful spot - Great place to stay. Close to amazing restaurants and bars, especially the one downstairs. Heads up for anyone staying here, check in is about a 15min walk away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing location, AC not good - Amazing view!! Big room for Venice. AC is not good at all. Probably would not stay here again if it was May-August just because of that. Windows have no screens so if try and open for cooler air lots of mosquitos! But overall good location and fair for the price paid.
- Rachael (8/5): - Location is great, felt really safe. Check in was easy. The room was modern and clean, quite a large sized bathroom. A lot of great things about this accomodation however we were really upset to find out that our room had a connecting sliding door to another room (which was obviously locked) but that room was our neighbours bathroom, so you could unfortunately hear everything (every single time they went to the toilet). There are also construction works going on next to the building that are quite loud. The wifi also kept dropping in and out the whole time.
- Nikki (10/5): - Beautiful space, great location and wonderful help when checking in at the other hotel.
- Rachel (8/5): Venice treat - Easy to check in, done all by WhatsApp on route. Lots of stairs to get up to room, no lift, that was fine for us though. Rooms was clean and had the amazing view of canal from balcony. Internet did keep dropping out, disaster for teenagers! Lovely stay though and very easy access to train station and beyond.
- taylor (10/5): - Would stay again a
- George (6/5): Two nights in Venice - The room is lovely and has a great view from the balcony. As stated in other reviews, the lock for the door isn't user-friendly at all, but that didn't turn out to be an issue on the second night as we came back in the evening to find that the cleaner had left our door wide open.
- Mandy (10/5): Great stay! - Loved the room and location. Was convenient to the attractions and piers, and quiet at night.
- Barbara (10/5): - Our stay was amazing! Clean room, nice area, easy check in (beware: it is at a different hotel!).
The ONLY complaint we had was the bathroom sink was not properly draining but we were too busy exploring Venice for it to bother us. Haha. I’m sure they’ve fixed it by now.
- Nanette (10/5): Clean, updated and comfortable. - This was a great little hotel, updated and clean. Best stay in Italy.
- Brian (6/5): Basic hotel room. No amenities - Ok hotel. Very basic. No amenities.
- Anush (2/5): - This was the worse service in all my life.
My flight delay for one day i ask to refund at least the one day i couldnt arrive.
The second day when i suffer with heavy lagguage and wrnt to Forsca there was no one.
The door is closed.
30 mins i were waiting manage somehow to call them and they asked me to go to another hotel to take key and come back.
I were explained i am alone and with heavy lagguage and no taxi in venice. I ask to someone from property bring me the key.
They refused.
I carry heavy lagguage to the second Andigo Dogo hotel to take keys.
It was rude , unprofessional so much hard work because no one explained i need take key from another place.
Receptionist said they said email with check in instructions but no email were sent and he said they forgot to sent the email.
If i can give 0 star i will
- Randy (6/5): Excellent but…. - Mixed feelings in this location. It was excellent other than the fact that we could not lock the quad room. That made for a somewhat stressful experience. When we first arrived our code only opened another room as we ( and the occupants of the room) discovered. Luckily they were dressed ( but in bed !). Our room was left unlocked by the previous occupants probably because the lock was not functioning 100% The hotel sent staff to fix it but they could not get it to lock unlock after an hour of attempts. We wasted a couple precious hours in Venice with this issue. If staff can’t work the lock they should replace it with one that works for everyone. They insisted it worked but was finicky. Finicky doesn’t cut it when you are paying lots for a room in Venice.
Otherwise the quad room was excellent. Amazing location, very comfortable! The balcony overlooking the canal is the best part! The location of the room just off the main tourist road makes for a convenient visit. The bar downstairs is a bit loud at night but you are high enough in the quad room. Not sure about the lower rooms. I would avoid those in the east side. The bar is the only place we found in the area ( if not in much of Italy) that had a wide assortment of local craft beers ! A nice bonus.
- Dave (8/5): - We loved the property itself. Would have appreciated knowing that it was directly over a bar, with mainly outdoor seating, with loads of cigarette smoke coming into the room and bathroom, with closing time at 2 am. The location was great, the space was plenty for two of us. Another thing to mention, if you are looking for air conditioning, this space has a unit, but keeping the room cool, it does not. If you need to keep cool, by keeping the windows open, make note above about the cigarette smoke, and tons and tons of mosquitoes.
- Henry (8/5): - Our stay with my family was great. They change the towels daily and prompt our rooms. Everything was clean when we arrived. Nice location and we had a small balcony to have our food.
