- Margaret (6/5): Alles in allem ein sehr guter Standort aber wie gesagt es ist in die Jahre gekommen und Preis Leistung nicht gerechtfert - Die Lage ist super. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut und Hakan hat uns sehr verwöhnt Das Receptions Team war auch immer sehr Hilfreich. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und es gab keine Möglichkeit sein Mobil Endgerät am Bett aufzuladen Das Internet 🛜 ist auch nicht sehr gut.

We were here for 1 night on a layover, they arranged airport transfers for us, & we had delicious dinner and breakfast at the attached Il Cortile restaurant. Most beautiful and peaceful space while being right in the middle of one of the most buzzing parts of Istanbul. Can feel the history, yet can relax. Amazing meals, service. - John stephen (10/5): An oasis of calm and luxury in a frenetic bustling city. - What a fantastic hotel situated just below Galata Tower. The vibe is very cool. The rooms are minimalist and very comfortable. The showers are powerful, the bedlinen is top class. The attention to detail is extraordinary. We had a delicious varied breakfast every morning with the friendly cheery Hakan in attendance. A great way to start the day. We ate in the Italian themed restaurant on the night of our arrival and it was delicious. We can’t thank the reception staff enough for their considerable attention even alerting us to events of interest going on in the vicinity. There are a lot of big chain hotels in Istanbul. If you are looking for something more original and with bags of style this is the place to stay. It’s well located with easy access to the metro, team and ferry stops. Nothing
- Jerome (10/5): Really enjoyed it and felt it was good value and great design. - The hotel is in a relatively small, beautifully restored building very near the Galata tower. The breakfast staff is led by the friendly and charming Hakan who guides you through many terrific options from homemade granola, yogurt and fresh fruit to a full blown authentic Turkish spread. The housekeeping staff, especially Elif, are also friendly and responsible with fresh towels during the evening turndown service. The beds and sheets are too notch and it is a low key but classy establishment. The neighborhood is a combination of real Istanbul and lots of local and international tourists with many cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and souvenir stores. Be aware that the hotel is up a big hill from the waterfront. My wife and I are 70 and we enjoyed the challenge but others may want to use taxis to avoid the climb. The hotel is relatively new and has an Italian restaurant that takes up most of the ground floor (half indoors,half outside on a lovely patio. It seems like they are still figuring out exactly how to position the restaurant. It has pizza and pasta but wasn’t very crowded. My sense is that given the high quality food it is going to break through and become more popular soon.

- James (9/5): Beautiful, calm, helpful and relaxing. - Room was immaculate and so beautiful. Whole hotel was a wonderful oasis of calm and style. Loved our balcony and the housekeeping service was excellent. Staff at reception and Hakan in the restaurant were wonderful too. They kindly provided Prosecco and cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday and gave us some lovely soft toys to take back to our children - it is the little touches like this that make all the difference.
- Nikita (10/5): A beautiful, characterful hotel with outstanding service in a perfect location. - The location was excellent, right in the historic Karaköy area next to Galata Tower, making it very easy to explore Istanbul while still being in a relatively quiet and less crowded part of the city. There were plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a great layout and tasteful décor, and it has preserved many original features from the former Catholic school, which adds a lot of character. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They made our stay feel special, especially with thoughtful touches and small gifts as we were celebrating our anniversary. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection and high-quality food, and Hakan in particular ensured that everything ran smoothly each morning and created a very welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a perfect base for our stay and we felt very well looked after. Nothing significant, our stay was very enjoyable overall.

The well-trained staff added to the soul and personality of the hotel. The front-desk team was very friendly and helpful. They always greeted with a warm smile, and also gave great advice to explore Istanbul. Special shoutout to the wonderful front desk team, security and the breakfast team (think the breakfast supervisor's/manager's name was Hakan) who provided such wonderful and thoughtful service (he remembered my usual breakfast orders (every day for 4 days without fail). Location was great and felt very safe. It was easy to access all the various forms of public transportation (subway, trams, buses etc) to explore the rest of Istanbul. Many famous landmarks (e.g. Galata Tower) were within walking distance. Many restaurants, cafes and quaint shops within walking distance. It was my first time in Istanbul, and this hotel was one of the reasons why my trip was so enjoyable. Highly recommended. None.

They left me cute notes and souvenirs everytime i came back to my room. The noise from the downstairs restaurant gets a bit loud and later in the night but personally didn't bother me too much.

The rooms were beautiful and well maintained and the courtyard and complimentary breakfast were also great. Galata neighborhood is perfectly situated and made for a great Istanbul travel experience. Overall couldn't more highly recommend!

Un petit déjeuner à la carte évitant ainsi le gâchis des buffets. Serveur très agréable également. On se sent vraiment comme chez soi. La chambre est très agréable manque un peu de chaleur ( peut être n'avons nous pas su bien régler la clim). Lit très confortable. Rien à redire.

- Mitesh (9/5): A memorable stay close to the Old City attractions - If you are looking for a boutique hotel with a historical charm in a good location near the Galata tower, this hotel is excellent. A 5-7 min walk to the Karakoy station to get the T1 to the Old City historical sites such as the Blue Mosque, Palace, Sophia Hagia, etc. The staff are very professional and prompt. The service is excellent and the staff are always available at you service. A special thanks to Batuhan, Yunus and the entire reception staff for making our stay very comfortable. The wifi could have been better and I did struggle with getting a stable connection. Again this is not a reflection on the staff and something the hotel itself should look into.

- Gareth (7/5): Fine but overall a disappointment - Breakfast was excellent, and the property is beautiful inside. The staff were excellent, service was of a high standard. The room was very small - when one has to squeeze between the wardrobe and the bed there’s something wrong. The room was noisy, even with double glazing, with cars and shouting in the street outside. The price was too high for what’s on offer and suggested a significantly higher standard which was not achieved.
