Vendula (8/5): Hoxton is always a good idea - Decor was perfect as expected. Check in few hours ahead was greatly received. Location, view, great sleep. Friendly reception. Ordering room service breakfast via QR code didn’t work, accumulated 3 refunds on my card?! Breakfast room service menu was not exciting enough, not much choice, only veg was avocado. Pancakes didn’t need whipped cream in am hours. Coffee should not be served in take away cups and fresh orange juice doesn’t need ice unless requested.

We had a room with the bunk beds which were very comfortable. Nothing. Arriving in the evening the road from the underground towards to hotel is a bit dodgy, just be aware.

Amanda (10/5): Beautiful rooms but pretty pricey - I upgraded to a room with a desk and have no regrets. The room was modern, bright and warm. The bathroom was big and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was a bit sketchy at night, and the rooms were very expensive. The park across the road was a bit dodgy too.

Rory (9/5): A great place to stay in Shepherds Bush. - Very nicely designed lobby and bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. A well priced and good breakfast selection. Overall is was very good for the price. The room was on the small side.

Guide34002519756 (10/5): Enjoyed Our Stay - Really enjoyed my stay at The Hoxton Shepherd’s Bush. I stayed with my wife while she was on a business trip, and we stayed on the 7th floor with such a nice view. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Big shout out to Kevin and Malika on the night shift — they were both amazing and really helpful. We had a noisy neighbour one night, but the staff and security dealt with it quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

La stanza era pulitissima e veniva rassettata ogni mattina, il personale disponibilissimo e gentile. Dell’hotel mi è piaciuto tutto il quartiere seppur servito benissimo dai mezzi e molto vicino al centro, la sera non mi ha fatto sentire completamente al sicuro essendo una donna che viaggiava da sola.

Jenny (5/5): Fine overall - Very comfortable beds, good location for where I needed to be I was surprised at my stay considering how glowing a lot of the other reviews are. I didn’t find staff overly helpful at all. I arrived early and the front desk pretty much rolled their eyes when I asked if there was a possibility of early checkin or bag drop. They took my bags, when I came back at 2pm and they were turning guests away from checkin as the rooms weren’t ready. I overheard them saying it was taking longer to clean the rooms with it being a Sunday and having so many more people checkout from staying Saturday. This doesn’t make sense to me, surely if the checkin time is always 2pm then they should be well versed in having the rooms ready for that time regardless of the day? I ended up accepting a lesser room because I was relying on checking in by 2pm in order to get turned around for the event I was visiting London for. When I came back I asked a staff member for some crisps from behind the front desk and what flavours they had, he responded “uhhh I don’t really know” and didn’t even bother to check the flavour of all of them. From the room service I ordered an espresso martini which was very average, and the cheeseburger which was fine, but I got a huge splinter off the wooden tray it was delivered on and spent about 25 mins of my evening trying to get it out. The shower was also set to absolutely scalding hot when I turned it on, there is no need for a shower to ever get so hot in general. I was hoping to have found a hidden gem but I can’t say i’d go back. A lot of these things would not have been noteworthy if the service had been with a smile at any point.

CMM1997 (8/5): Hoxton does it again! - Location is great, just beside Shepherd's Bush Underground, close to a few great cafes/ restaurants in an ever up-and-coming area. Vibes in the hotel are great; laid back, effortlessly cool. Bar is fantastic with a great selection of drinks. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate and what I would expect from a London hotel. I think the hotel is good value for money, given its style/ comfort and proximity to central London. Clean throughout, including rooms and communal areas. Hoxton never fails to disappoint.

Breakfast ordering was slow and the second coffees we ordered were tepid. We were running late so decided it was best just to pay and leave.

Sitting right in the heart of Shepherd's Bush, a neighbourhood famed for its rock 'n' roll history, independent shops and eclectic energy, the hotel feels genuinely rooted in its surroundings. The design is a real highlight — 1970s-inspired furnishings, mid-century lighting, pastel colour palettes and warm copper finishes give the rooms a nostalgic, cosy character. A retro Roberts radio playing old-school hits greets you as you walk in, and somehow it never feels gimmicky — just charming. But the absolute standout is Chet's, the in-house Thai-Americana restaurant. Helmed by LA chef Kris Yenbamroong, the sharing-style menu blends Thai cuisine with American influences, and the food is bold, flavourful and full of personality. The interior matches the energy perfectly — splashes of orange, a plant-surrounded skylight, an open kitchen and diner-style booths lined with huge mirrors. Whether it's dinner or breakfast, Chet's easily outclasses the tired buffets you'll find at most London hotels. The staff deserve a special mention too — friendly, warm and genuinely attentive, they add to the feeling that this is somewhere that actually cares about your stay. All in all, The Hoxton Shepherd's Bush gets the balance between style, comfort and soul just right. Het hotel zelf is prachtig, maar eerlijk is eerlijk — de locatie heeft 's avonds een kant die de folders je niet laten zien. Shepherd's Bush Green, direct voor de deur, voelt na zonsondergang merkbaar anders aan. De sfeer wordt grimmiger, er hangt regelmatig een groepje mensen rond bij de ingang van het metrostation, en de combinatie van donkere straathoeken en luid verkeer maakt dat je 's avonds toch wat minder ontspannen over straat loopt dan je zou willen. Voor solo reizigers of mensen die niet gewend zijn aan ruigere stadswijken kan dit een onaangename verrassing zijn. Dat is jammer, want overdag is de buurt juist leuk — met Notting Hill, Holland Park en Portobello Road op loopafstand is er genoeg te beleven. Maar als je 's avonds laat terugkomt van een concert in de Shepherd's Bush Empire of een avondje uit in het centrum, is de wandeling terug naar het hotel niet bepaald uitnodigend. Verder zijn de kamers aan de kleine kant. De compacte Snug- en Hideout-kamers beginnen al bij 14,5 vierkante meter, wat voor een meerdaags verblijf met bagage toch wat krap aanvoelt. De stijl is er niet minder om, maar ruimte om te ademen is er nauwelijks. Ook de parkeermogelijkheden in de buurt zijn beperkt en duur, wat voor reizigers met een auto een extra ergernis kan zijn. De Hoxton weet veel goed te maken met zijn charme en sfeer — maar de locatie vraagt wat gewenning, zeker als de zon eenmaal onder is.

Phoenixkh (2/5): Wow- can’t believe this is actually words I’m going to write…. - Guys- I’m going to just paste an email I sent to this place, which by the way didn’t even get a response. Make of it what you will I wanted to email you today following an experience that my husband had at breakfast with you this morning. At around 9:30am he had breakfast with his friend, ordered scrambled egg and asked about the sausages. The server then proceeded to tell him that he shouldn’t eat the English sausages as no one knows what’s inside them and that they cause cancer, and at least the Spanish sausages aren’t cancer causers. I don’t know whether this is normal protocol for your staff members to bring up cancer when people order their breakfast, but understandably my husband was very upset, not only because naturally most people are affected by cancer and have experienced bereavement as a result of it, but also because he felt that the person serving him was making judgements on him for his choice of food. When my husband informed me of this, I thought it was very important to email you and I expect a response to this email to explain why on earth your staff members are speaking to customers in such a way. Our family has been bereaved through cancer multiple times and we certainly don’t expect to have to confront that at breakfast at your eatery. …

John (8/5): Nice hotel in a good location, but maybe eat elsewhere. - The general ambiance of this hotel is relaxing. No drama and no fussing. The breakfast was nice but the choice is limited. You must order from a breakfast menu and pay extra for any additional requests. It is not a buffet. We had a room on the first floor at street level so expected some street noise, but happily there was none. The toilets were very clean. The dinner meals were only fair. There is probably better value in some of the local restaurants. The restaurant and bar service was poor. Staff were a bit too relaxed...
