- Vasile (1/5): Hotel horror - Nulla siamo arrivati e sembrava un hotel horror....tanto vero che pur avendo perso gli soldi della prenotazione dopo 5min che siamo arrivati nel hotel alle 2 di notte siamo andati via per trovarne un altro....un esperienza terribile non mi ero mai confrontata con una situazione del genere prenotando con boking......una cosa davvero vergoniosa nonostante ho pagato piu di 200eur non abbiamo usufruito del servizio

В отеле было тихо, что позволило спокойно отдохнуть. Номер был чистый, полотенца и постельное белье белые и свежие. Приятно, что в отеле есть завтрак, а также собственная парковка для автомобилей, что очень удобно для путешественников на машине. Отдельно хочется отметить хозяина Риза, он очень приветливый, отзывчивый и гостеприимный человек, всегда был на связи и готов помочь. В целом всё понравилось, остались только положительные впечатления, смело рекомендуем этот отель

It's within walking distance to almost everything – historical sites, markets, and restaurants. It's also in a very convenient spot for public transportation. They took money from my card 2 weeks before in several times. I thought my card was stolen as amounts didn't correspond to anything and name of the hotel did not correspond. I had to block my card and it made me trouble with other reservations. In the end, everything was fine with total payment, but this experience... Bathroom has mold that is very old. Bathroom is half broken. Rooms are tiny. Towels are very hard. Breakfast ok

The receptionist can’t tell us witch exactly room we had and he don’t even checked our booking number. After that the receptionist took the keys and show us 3 different rooms…. We was trying to told him that we want this exact room witch we booked on booking.com - but after long “conversation “ he show/ told us that someone is ALREADY IN OUR BOOKED ROOM SLEEPING !!! It was around 11:00 pm we was tired after looong flight we took different room with small window in dirty bad and room. We was really sad and disappointed that we paid for something what we can’t have. The whole situation was really unpleasant. We don’t recommend this Hotel at all! We wrote the ours opinions on google maps - the answer from the senyor Hotel was really passive aggressive.

- Claudiu (1/5): The worst experience - Location For our stay we booked 3 rooms. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there was a malfunction in the hotel and they could only offer us a room for 6 people for the first evening, and then the next day they would offer us 2 more rooms. This did not happen until after long negotiations with the owner and the receptionist. In one of the rooms offered, they didn't even clean up after previous customers. The rooms were dirty, the bathrooms dirty, the sheets and towels dirty, everything was very bad. Unfortunately, we were not the only ones in this situation, there were two other groups of tourists with the same problem. Do not stay at this hotel.

The staff are friendly however they don’t speak English. For the money we paid it was ok, but it must improve to be recommended.

A scale is also available next to the lift so you can weigh your baggage. The room was a bit small, but compared to what was paid it was alright.

- Emma (10/5): Beautiful hotel, modern and cosy - Beautiful hotel, everything is so modern and clean. The wifi is strong for working, always hot water and a good central heating system. The room is finished to a high quality with everything you need. Also the location is so convenient, many good restaurants and shops nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Veselka (1/5): Bad - We were greeted by an extremely rude manager who informed us that the room we had paid for was taken. He put us in to the other room where water was dripping from the chandelier onto the floor because it was raining outside. There was water on the floor and on one of the beds. We had no hot water in the bathroom. The heating was not working and the room was extremely cold. We have been trying to get in touch with the manager all night but have been unsuccessful. It was a scary night for us. The next day the manager came and shouted what we want, we can't get the "Hilton" for the money we gave. He gave us another room, but there was no heating in it either. Water was leaking from the radiator. We complained again. The manager gave us a third room. We stayed there for the rest of the nights we paid for, but the heating didn't work there either after the second night, and the smell of damp could be felt. The only bright spot in the hotel is the two receptionists. Conclusion: One big disaster of our stay with very rude and disrespectfull manager.

- Alex (10/5): A nice experience - An excellent hotel with affordable prices. Close to many important touristic objectives, like the Grand Bazar and Blue Mosque/ Hagia Sophia. Many places to eat nearby, affordable prices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended if you are looking to visit Turkey but you don't have a big budget. Clean place, clean towels and the needed consumables are there. You can get a mini fridge in your room if you need, but for some rooms you need to request it.

It was pretty close to the metro station. The stuff didn’t speek much english but it was easy to comunicate anyway. Bed was comfortable and AC works well. The room was very small, basically just a bed. Desk without any chair.There were some not finished elements like wires hanging out from the walls.
- Khawarj (3/5): A frustrating stay with poor service and language barriers. - The only aspects I appreciated were the presence of a bed and air conditioning in the room, which provided basic comfort during my stay and the location. I stayed at the Senyor Garden Hotel in Istanbul for a week. At first, I was hopeful because of the good reviews and a friendly message from the hotel. But sadly, my experience was not good. When I got to the hotel late at night, I had a hard time talking to the staff because they couldn't speak English. This made things really confusing, especially when they told me they didn't have my booking details, even though the hotel had sent me a confirmation message before. The only staff available were a cleaning lady and Mustafa, a factory worker who occasionally helps at the hotel, neither of whom could communicate in English Luckily, I later learned Mustafa, could speak another language we both knew ( almost after 30 minutes of pointless google translates etc ) , which made things a bit easier. He gave me a room for the night and said the owner would fix everything in the morning. The next day, the owner said everything was fine, but it was still hard to talk to him as he himself only knew turkish or russian. During my stay, I faced more problems. The room service was not good. I had to leave my keys at the front desk to get my room cleaned, but getting them back was a struggle because of language issues with different staff members. Also, the cleaning was not done well. They only changed the bed sheets and didn't bother with the pillow covers or towels. Throughout my stay, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the place wasn't operating as a proper hotel. Most of the staff members seemed unprofessional and not equipped to handle hotel operations, which was quite disappointing. The room itself was quite bare-bones, offering only a kettle but lacking other basic items like spoons, glasses, or mugs, which limited its usefulness. In the photo below, See how the staff left all the pillow covers and towels piled on a chair, instead of properly placing them on the pillows and in the bathroom, after changing the bedsheet.

- Agustin (1/5): I had to leave 2 nights before because the hotel have a lots of issues - The wifi speed was very good. The location is not the best but is also not bad, 25 min walking to the blue mosque but a lots of cafe and restaurantes near by The room's window lets in a lot of light, even with the curtain closed. Every day at 6 am, the sun would shine on my face and wake me up (there are no blinds or good curtains). I called the manager to show them the excessive light entering, and he told me there was nothing he could do about it. I booked the hotel for 8 nights, but my room was never cleaned (except when I arrived). I asked the two managers and the cleaning lady to clean my room, but they never did. I had to ask my Turkish-speaking girlfriend to call them and request a towel because using the same one was getting unpleasant (nobody speaks English). In the end, due to the dirtiness, I moved to another hotel 2 nights early and lost my money. Nobody speaks any English. In the Muslim religion, there's a rule that you can't sleep with another person unless you're married. It's a rule I always respect, but it's not a law in Turkey. What bothers me is that they didn't allow my girlfriend to enter the hotel. However, at the time of making the reservation, NOBODY told me about this. I respect religions, but if they want to enforce something, they should inform us BEFORE MAKING THE RESERVATION. In Turkey, such a law doesn't exist. If they want to implement it in their hotel, that's fine, but they should let us know beforehand! There's a sign stating that breakfast is from 8 am to 10 am. I went at 9, but there was no one and nothing available for breakfast. I was going to ask, but since nobody speaks English, it was easier for me to go to a bar. There's a strange smell in the rooms, like sewage. You can hear every sound from other rooms. I could hear people snoring during the nights Conclusion: I paid for 8 nights but couldn't sleep well due to the sun shining on my face every morning. My room was never cleaned, and the towels and sheets were never changed despite my repeated requests (my Turkish girlfriend had to call and ask for a towel).
- Hajra (2/5): A very uncomfortable stay due to the room being very dirty. - Close to the centre. About a 20 minute walk. The room hadnt been cleaned prior to our stay. We had dirty bedding on one bed and no bedding at all on the other two beds. We had to request clean bedding. The room was filled with cockroaches and we even found some spider webs. The floor and surfaces had a thick layer of dust. The window was covered in so much filth that we couldnt clearly see outside. We were unable to use the mini fridge to store drinks because of how dirty it was. There were random wires sticking out in the bathroom right near the sink. We couldnt wait to leave the hotel and checked out early.

This convenience allowed me to make the most of my trip and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Istanbul. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Senyor Garden Hotel to fellow travelers looking for an affordable and enjoyable stay in Istanbul. Communication gap like most hotels in Turkey they don't speak English and but a translator works.

Inside the room?? Is this acceptable? Also there is huge stains on the ceiling like an old leaking and the room smells a cigarette. The worst experience ever faced in my life and worst hotel I’ve ever seen. nothing inside or outside the room related to hotel standards
