• Alan (7/5): Nice enough for a short stay if visiting the falls. - Properties are a bit dates, but the staff and facilities were good. We visited in the ‘cold season’ so couldn’t use the pool facilities which actually looked pretty good. It’s a bit in between the falls and the town centre which meant using taxi’s (for us) and they weren’t cheap.

• darren (9/5): Private cabins in a rainforest setting - Quiet, private cabins located in a lovely rainforest setting. Comfortable large bed. Plenty of space and privacy. Nice restaurant with a lovely breakfast. Two large pool / pool areas. Outstanding staff-they were all great from the reception to the room service and actvities and the restaurant. Ailen especially went above and beyond to help me with a VAT refund issue as we were departing. She was awesome. Cabins are are a little rustic. They are clean, spacious and private, just a little dated
• Maria (7/5): Lovely staff, otherwise disappointing - Lovely staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped organise our transports to the airport and gave us good tips and recommendations. Good location short drive from Iguacu falls and the town. Great value compared to other properties in the area. The photos are taken artistically to highlight specific lovely details of the rooms. They do not fully capture the bathroom and kitchen which were very dated. If I had seen representative photos, I would not have chosen the property for my stay. The bathroom smelled heavily of dump, the doors and windows are poorly fitted with significant gaps so that the hut was constantly cold and you could hear every single car driving on the main road nearby the property. The bedsheets, towels and extra thick blanket provided had visible stains on them.

Location super easy for the airport and Iguazu Falls park The cabin was old - whilst clean and tastefully done out, the bathroom probably hasn’t been touched since the 70s. The whole place smelt damp too, so much so all our clothes for the rest of our trip smelt a bit musty!

• Noelia (10/5): Exceptional food, warm hospitality, and special experiences. - Amazing stay at Overo! The staff were absolutely outstanding from the very beginning. Gino welcomed us with a fresh juice, and from that moment we felt genuinely at home. Jessica gave us a tour around the lodge's jungle that culminated in a traditional 'mate' bonfire. The highlight—the real cherry on top—was the restaurant, a true hidden gem! Carlos and Brenda were fantastic, offering impeccable service and thoughtful recommendations. The food was an explosion of flavours. We loved learning that they collaborate with a scientist who advises on the edible fruits and vegetables grown at the lodge. We had the green salad several times, made with leaves and flowers from the lodge, and each bite felt like a unique experience. The quality of the fish and beef was exceptional, and the desserts were just as impressive—we even had the chance to try a new pudding that will be on next month’s menu, and it was incredible. The wine pairings, expertly recommended by Carlos, were spot on—he’s incredibly knowledgeable, especially for such a young sommelier. And Brenda made every breakfast special, with fresh juices as well as delicious mocktails. A truly memorable experience.

• Matthias (6/5): Unterkunft direkt an der Hauptstrasse in abgewohnten Hütten, aber tolles Frühstück - Extrem gutes Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen, tolles Restaurant, innovative Küche. Gutes und bequemes Bett. Direkte Lage an der Hauptstrasse, starke Lärmbelästigung auch nachts. Qualität der Unterkunft entspricht nicht den Bildern und dem gezahlten Preis, alles abgewohnt und alt, Bad mindestens 20 Jahre alt und nicht erneuert, Dusche hat keinen Druck. Unterkunft ist extrem klein und man kann noch nicht mal einen Koffer öffnen.

I found the AC in our room very noisy and old and did not enjoy a good nights sleep as a result. i was either too hot with the AC off or too noisy with it on. The restaurant was quite a surprise and somehow did not fit with the rest of the hotel. The rooms were simple and quite old fashioned - particularly the bathrooms - but the restaurant was modern and very sophisticated. It felt strange being the only 2 guests in the formal restaurant ...

• Guy (5/5): Un mauvais rapport qualité prix pour des équipements pas à la hauteur - Le personnel est très attentionné, que ce soit à l’accueil ou au restaurant. Le restaurant est un endroit agréable et la cuisine très correcte. Ce qui fait office de salle de bains passerait à peine le référencement 1 étoile en France. Comment cet établissement peut-il afficher 4 étoiles ? Je trouve honteux les équipements et leur fonctionnalité. Un lavabo dans un couloir étroit qui dessert le WC/douche. Une douche minuscule à laquelle on accède après avoir quasiment enjambé le WC. La fenêtre de la douche qui ne ferme plus car gonflée par l’eau. La porte du WC/douche qui s’ouvre sur la personne qui se trouve devant le lavabo. L’ensemble mériterait une vraie remise à neuf, même s’il y a un vrai défaut de conception à la base. Les photos sont nettement plus flatteuses que la réalité. Il me semble que la direction de l’établissement devrait prendre au sérieux les très nombreux commentaires négatifs à ce sujet et agir, bien au-delà des réponses polies assurant d’une prise en compte des problèmes rencontrés. J’avoue ne pas avoir lu les commentaires avant de réserver. Dommage car tout était dit…

Les logements (villa) sont agréables, avec 2 terrasses privatives, et bien espacées les uns des autres. Les villas mériteraient un vrai rafraîchissement. Il y a un réel contraste entre la réception / la salle de restaurant et les habitations. Mais l'équipement est complet, les pièces sont grandes et la literie parfaite.

• Dale (8/5): Although my first impression was not great, you adjust and if you lean into the vibe, it is delightful. - loved the pool and despite noise comments below. we liked the relaxing vibe. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience with very good food and service. Cabin: although the bedroom is small, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good. All things considered, the Amenities in the cabin are good and well thought out for the space. All the Staff was pleasant and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and found it to be very comfortable once we settled in. Not the property’s fault but it is close to highway so there is road noise through early evening (gets much less traffic at night though). Also loud music on weekend nights from neighboring property but ended around 11:00. Cabin: very rustic and more of a 3 star rating; Small but functional. The weak point is the bathroom which needs some sprucing. Even just a new door for the bathroom and a better shower (even just a better shower curtain) would make a difference.

Angenehm nach den Aktivitäten am einen Pool zu liegen. Einige Villen liegen zu dicht an der Straße und waren deshalb morgens laut. Aber wir konnten in eine ruhige zum ziehen. • valerie (9/5): Excellent stay with every need catered for - The hotel was near the airport and the falls but away from the town . Which is great apart from having to get a taxi in the evenings for a bit of atmosphere. Saying that the town is a bit over touristy and tacky so would not have welcomed being right in the centre I’m sure it would go on all night and morning! The hotel went the extra mile at every turn . Welcome drinks and snacks daily, organising taxis helping you in every way they could. There were two pools and a lovely restaurant the food was great and the breakfast was a real treat. Waiter service with all fresh produce. The communal areas of the hotel looked brand new and were 4/5 star but the little villa we were was a bit old and tired it was as though they may be doing it up but by bit. It’s small and has a personal feel.

Close enough to get around and far enough to be peaceful and relaxing The service was a bit hit and miss, some staff were really amazing and went above and beyond and others were quite unfriendly. It just missed the mark on a few things.
• Kerri (8/5): Overall great little place to stay if you’re planning on a visit to the falls - Beautiful property. Loved that it was small and intimate. Two fabulous pools. The cottages are rustic and really cool looking and come with literally everything you need. Handy to have a restaurant on site. Very close to the Brazilian border so easy to get to the falls. Argentina’s access to the falls also very close. Downtown is a very short uber ride away. Lots of choices there to eat and drink. While we loved the cottage the only “complaint” was the bathroom. It could do with an update. I felt like I was at camp. Shower was not very efficient nor very hot.

• Olga (9/5): - The nice place amidst the nature surrounded by trees and unforgettable chores of cicadas. The big pool really was saving us after the hot days. The dinners in the local restaurant were super too. No need to go somewhere else. We liked the stuff there very much. The house is a little bit tired. Though it's because of high humidity. And the bath was tiny, not convenient and very poor. Just be ready to meet a small space with bare floor.

Le fait que l’on puisse disposer du jardin et de la piscine après le Check out. Possibilité de laisser les bagages après le Check out L’emplacement au bord d’une 4 voies ou des camions des bus circulent jour et nuit Bouchons d’oreille INDISPENSABLES pour tenter de dormir. La journée on se trouve dans un cadre de verdure où l’on peut à peine entendre les oiseaux tant la route est présente. Les chalets ressemblent plus à des airbnb qu’à un 5 étoiles.

• penny (8/5): Peaceful place to stay. - I liked that it only has 8 villas so it is not crowded by people. Two large pools with self contained villas. Great service from all the staff. Its location has pros and cons. It’s near the park entry but also adjoins the highway. So the rainforest noise does get drowned out most of the time by the road. If they built a fence wall it would help.

• Sharon (9/5): Hospitality supreme. Location noisy. - We were warmly welcomed and treated very well from start to finish. It is nestled into a curated jungle however close to the main road . The pools are attractive and the dining room is beautiful. The food was great for both breakfast and dinner. Maintenance came quickly for an issue and promptly fixed the problem. They allowed us full access of the property including access to showers after checkout. Ear plugs were required to drown out the road noises.

• Nigel (8/5): Well located hotel but with average rooms and food - Great location - both the hotel itself in the forest and proximity to the Falls. The chalets/rooms are tired and in need of renovation. The bathroom in our chalet flooded pretty continuously. There is a new restaurant on site which has an impressive menu. The food though didn’t match the description and was lacklustre - although to be fair this may improve once the chef has found his feet and the restaurant is more established.

• cmnit (9/5): - Wonderful setting amidst the subtropical green forest, newly built and warm "cabañas" full of amenities, great breakfast, additional services and activities available for a stay on par with the amazing Iguazú national park. Perhaps a bit too close to the main road from the town to the park and the airport therefore you might hear not only birds but also some traffic.

Die Lage ist eigentlich gut, 20 Min zum Flughafen und 20 Min zu den Wasserfällen; allerdings liegt die Anlage direkt an der Schnellstraße… die in unserer Villa deutlich zu hören war, auch nachts.

Just need to pay a little more attention to the food , the bar food was very good but the dinner was a little disappointing, very strange and inedible leaves in the salad.

Modern restaurant facilities & excellent breakfast provided. Enjoyed the nature walk & mate experience 2 pools Only 8 cabins so not crowded A frame cabins were much more rustic than photos showed. Clean but with very old showers & toilets. Need upgrading Close to a busy road

• Lizeth (9/5): Great place to stay when visiting Iguazú - The facilities and staff were wonderful. Good location close to park, but close to the main road as well. Very quiet and relaxing
• Claire (9/5): Overo is serene and natural - a perfect way to experience the Iguazu Falls - Overo Lodge is set in a beautiful natural environment with wildlife such as monkeys and lizards, with big trees and climbing plants, flowers and humming birds, caring considerate and highly trained staff, personal and welcoming approach, incredible food. The villas are very private and have a comfortable layout, with outside areas to relax and eat. There are two swimming pools, and a spa area, as well as restaurant/bar. There are daily activities to introduce you to the customs of the area.
• Julie (10/5): - Excellent location close to the waterfalls. Helpful staff and a lovely villa room. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both excellent. Staff assisted with all transfers.

Banheiro possui cortina ao invés de Box de vidro e é muito apertado! Possui cozinha nos chalés mas acho desnecessário ,poderia ter feito esse espaço para ampliar o quarto e o banheiro dando mais conforto e comodidade !

• Babette (7/5): - Besonders schön fand ich, dass es kleine Hütchen gab, in denen man ganz für sich war – das war total süß und hat für eine richtig gemütliche Atmosphäre gesorgt. Auch der Pool-Bereich war wunderschön und perfekt zum Entspannen. Außerdem war die Lage großartig – man konnte wunderbar die Wasserfälle besichtigen, besonders die auf der argentinischen Seite waren ein echtes Highlight. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt, den ich sehr weiterempfehlen kann! Was ich allerdings schade fand, war der Umgang des Hotels mit einer unangenehmen Situation: Während der Reinigung ist meine Zahnschiene verschwunden – vermutlich wurde sie versehentlich entsorgt. Das kann natürlich passieren, aber wirklich enttäuschend war, dass vom Hotel keinerlei Reaktion kam. Ich hatte den Vorfall gemeldet und nachgefragt, ob die Schiene eventuell gefunden wurde, habe aber bis heute keine Antwort oder irgendeine Form von Entschädigung erhalten. Ich finde, so etwas sollte zumindest ernst genommen und transparent kommuniziert werden.

• Sue (9/5): Perfect and comfortable place to stay to see the Iguazu Falls. - The staff were welcoming. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable with very efficient air conditioning. The restaurant served excellent food in a lovely building. Our flight was not until late afternoon and we were welcome to use all the hotel facilities after we had checked out. We thought that breakfast (which was excellent)could have been served earlier than 7am because breakfast was then rushed in order to get to the National Park by the recommended time of 7:45.
• Sud (10/5): Incredible stay - would highly reccomend! - This property was incredible, it was our own little sanctuary, the facilities (pool, communal areas, resurant / bar and our lodge) were amazing with every detail thought of. Overo lodge staff were amazing and could not do enough for for us. With activities happening every evening we managed to do Mate tasting, which was informative and fun! We must also give a special shout out to the chef, who created some delicious dishes for us whilst we stayed which were paired with some amazing wines

• Ma Katrina (10/5): - We loved everything about Overo - from the amazing and friendly staff, to the comfortable villas, down to the very awesome meals! Best breakfast we had so far in this trip is from here. It was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend!

• John (10/5): - This was a very enjoyable place to stay. The cabins are comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff bent over backwards to help with anything I needed. The service at the restaurant was stupendous, and the food was outstanding. A shout out to the very amenable staff, especially to Sebastian, and Julio for making my stay comfortable and providing a pleasant smile to start my day. The location is very close to the Iguazu Falls, making it very convenient as well.
• Gudula (10/5): - We had a lovely stay and the staff were super helpful from arrival to departure. Excellent restaurant and nice little touches both at breakfast and dinner! I would say the lodges are rustic but equipped with lovely toiletries, Nespresso machine and fully fitted kitchen facilities. Overall a great stay and highly recommended.

• Priyanka (10/5): - Wonderful stay in a cute wood stuctured villa surrounded by beautiful, lush vegetation, friendly service and good food! We loved our villa - my only recommendation is having less itchy/rough blankets on the bed. The staff were so great - manager, assistant manager, wait staff were the most kind and helpful. The bartender and waitress at dinner indulged my husband and I in jokes and banter while serving us gorgeously (wow) plated dishes that were tasty, under a lovely structure. We didnt get to enjoy the pools or spa due to limited time but they definitely looked very inviting. Location in terms of feeling secluded but in proximity to the falls and border were great. I wouldnt hesitate to book this place if I came back to Puerto Iguazu.
