- DAVID (6/5): - Good sized rooms, in a safe and accessible location, easy for car service and sights. Pleasant staff. Room had a balcony with an amazing view, all the facilities of the room are good, though some space issues in bathroom. This is not a business hotel, so plug sockets, phone charging points are NOT easily accessible in room. F&B - OK, Breakfast can be a little chaotic in either restaurant. Lifts are slow and take time be prepared for queues. Pool area very busy, but pleasant enough for a few days.

In particular, Rohit and Rahul were our housekeeping staff and nothing was too much trouble for them! The restaurants all had top quality food and plenty of choices without it being too overwhelming or repetitive! The whole property was spotless! The adults only pool was closed a few days into our stay for some refurbishment, however this didn't impact the use or availability of the other pools too much. There is also a private beach which wasn't ever busy, so there wasn't the dreaded rush in the mornings for sunbeds! Would highly recommend this hotel and am desperate to rebook again for myself!
- Nazia Parveen (8/5): - I recently stayed at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi and while the hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, my experience was a blend of positives and disappointments. ✨ Highlights: • The hotel is visually stunning and offers a luxurious atmosphere. • Housekeeping staff were exceptionally hardworking and kept the rooms spotless. • Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. ⚠️ Areas for Improvement: • The poolside bar service was inconsistent, with staff focusing only on guests in the pool area. Those lounging nearby were often overlooked, and drink service was noticeably slow. • Although the hotel boasts a private beach, there was no drinks service available there, which felt like a missed opportunity. • The website advertised welcome cold towels and farewell drinks, but neither were offered during my visit. • After checkout, the level of service dropped significantly. It felt as though guests were no longer a priority. • Queue management was poor—staff allowed guests to push ahead without addressing the issue, which created a frustrating experience for those waiting patiently. • During a reservation booking, I was discussing private details with a staff member when another guest entered and remained in the room. The staff did not ask him to wait outside, compromising my privacy.

About 30% of the tiles are missing on the floor and walls of the swimming pool, ended up with cut feet, hands and arms. For the prices charged for a stay, they could have made use of the slow summer and had the tiles replaced.

- Ahmad (2/5): A Terrible Experience at Rixos Abu Dhabi – Definit - I recently stayed at Rixos Abu Dhabi, and my experience was far below expectations. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find that my room was not ready at all – as clearly shown in the attached photos. After raising the issue, I was upgraded to a higher room category, and late check-out was approved. However, the room key was not activated for elevator access, which resulted in me being stuck in the elevator, going up and down aimlessly until I managed to return to the ground floor. Overall, this was a dreadful experience. The lack of coordination, poor service, and unprofessionalism are unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. I would strongly advise against booking this hotel – there are far better options in Abu Dhabi in terms of quality, comfort, and hospitality.
- jane (6/5): - This hotel is suited to Russian families. The atmosphere was not great. The gym is dark and very masculine, feels intimidating.
- Rania (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi! The staff were amazing throughout. Special shoutout to the barman at the adults-only pool (his name starts with R) — his mocktails were incredible and he had such great energy. I really appreciated how accommodating the hotel was for non-alcoholic drinkers. Claude was so kind and helpful with my luggage on the day I left, and the general manager also made time to speak with me, which was such a lovely touch. The staff at The People’s Restaurant were by far the friendliest — I highly recommend them. Benson, who kindly cleaned my sunglasses by the pool and was always polite, was also fantastic. The private beach is a huge plus — quiet and very relaxing. Rooms were always cleaned to perfection. Only downsides: I wasn’t allowed to take away my leftover sushi at the Asian restaurant on the 38th floor when I wasn’t feeling well, and it was disappointing to hear it would go in the bin — I shared this feedback with the manager. The only other small issue was the gentleman from the spa who frequently interrupted guests relaxing by the pool to promote treatments — this became a bit much and actually put me off visiting the spa entirely. Overall, I had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Thank you to the Rixos team for making my stay so special! The overall atmosphere of the hotel was luxurious yet welcoming, and the attention to detail across every part of the experience really stood out.

We strongly recomend the hotel as excellent property in the heart of Abu Dhabi, right on the private beach with opened ocean and very quick access to the city and all the city attractions. - Jaime (4/5): Spoiled Honeymoon. - We booked this hotel for our honeymoon. Unfortunately BA cancelled our flights. Hotels.com were very helpful and said they did try to explain the situation to the hotel, we also explained our situation to the hotel. I asked if we could change to another Rixos hotel in another country/change dates as we could not afford to book new flights with another airline. As the booking was paid in full and non-refundable they would not help us to change our honeymoon in any way. This was obviously very disappointing. What made matters worse was that when we were due to stay, because we did not check in, we were sent an almost threatening email saying we were a no-show and would be charged in full. This tasteless communication served as a wonderful reminder of the honeymoon we were never able to have, alongside it appearing that their booking team have little idea of who has pre-paid or not. It seemed particularly money-grabbing despite the fact we didn’t want the money back but to change the dates/country/have a voucher allowing us to save up to book new flights and have our honeymoon. I would not go to a Rixos resort now and would choose a company that appears to have some care for their clients.

- David (2/5): Low quality, overcrowded pool area do not book ! - We booked this hotel with the understanding we were going to be staying at a top resort hotel. How wrong were we! We arrived and as the room was not ready went to the pool beach area. The pool was very overcrowded with loud music. As we could not get a bed we went to the beach area - agin no beds available. We were given a card each to obtain a small towel to use for the day. The resort felt like a budget all inclusive holiday resort rather than a luxury resort. I informed management that we were unhappy and wanted to check out. They had a negative attitude towards me and just said sorry no refund. We decided not to stay and checked into another hotel which was perfect. I would NoT recommend this hotel. FYI after further reservation this hotel is on an all inclusive website offering flights from the Uk and all inclusive accommodation for a week for £800, which gives you an idea of how cheap the hotel is !
- Katarzyna Ewa (10/5): - I've stayed at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island- and now don't understand why it's premium and so much more expensive. Rixos Marina has everything twice better with a sparkle to finish. The only thing I'd say is- Rixos Saadiyat is very quiet and has a wild sort of unspoiled beach- if that's what you after. Rixos Marina- is much busier and bustling with life.

No extra taking care of inside the hotel room. No making up bed in the night. No extra nice things in the bathroom. Overall 4 stars!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Warning: Do not go if you’re after Winter Sun - This property shades 90% of the pool and beach area in December. There was also ongoing construction work. The guest relations staff lied continuously and made our visit very unpleasant - a gentleman called Irtaza in particular.

The head chef at the Asian restaurant was amazing too, the staff at the restaurant knew it was our honeymoon and made our dinner so special. If you are looking for a chilled hotel to stay at - Highly recommend Rixos. There isn’t much around outside of the Marina Mall but I would stay there again and just explore and do trips but it doesn’t take away from the hotel stay which was absolutely lovely.

- Romina (4/5): - I requested gluten and dairy free options and was asked to remind the staff each time I went for breakfast and lunch. I found this to become irritating very quickly especially as I found that I was waiting around to receive dairy free butter, gluten free bread and the one dessert that I could have was sorbet which was only served to me on the first day and after that I asked for it and it was never served. After waiting around I decided to leave without it. I felt like my dietary requirements were not considered to the best standards. Having to remind staff constantly and at times mentioning it repeatedly and then waiting around whilst my friends had eaten was not the best experience. The dessert being extremely limited even though I requested in advance was a huge disappointment.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful stay - Unfriendly staff at the Check-In, not even looked into our facts or gave us any information about the Hotel and activities and also they promised to send a message when our room is ready, which never happened. Coffee machine was broken and it took them 1.5 days to send someone to fix it. On the second day there was suddenly an additional bed in the room, which we didn’t order. In front of our room was a construction area - couldn‘t sleep in the morning and at night! No information that they changed adults only pool to all ages a few months ago, it was an adults only pool when we booked our stay. Extremely slippery at the pool, a lot of people/children fell on their head. We got asked 10 times a day if we want Spa. Minibar was locked after we entered the room, nobody knows why. No asking if everything was ok at Check-Out.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not bad - The hotel was good and is luxurious. However, the competition is so high in Abu Dhabi and we've seen better. They probably had an offer at the time and it was too crowded the first couple of nights. The lifts two of them were out of service and took long to arrive.
- Jacinta (4/5): Horrible Rude Staff - The service at the front desk was disappointing from check-in to check-out, with the staff displaying rude and unprofessional behavior. As someone who works for a leading company in the tourism industry, this is not an experience we would recommend. While the rooms were pleasant, the overall experience was significantly diminished. The only highlight in terms of service was the excellent assistance provided by the staff at the ice cream stall. Our mini bar was empty so we called at requested to be filled as we wanted to use it, front desk said they will send someone no one came for 2 days. If you appreciate good service do not stay here

The only part we didn’t like was that it was too noisy every were, restaurant too crowded and my wife couldn’t sleep because of the noise in the corridor and nearby rooms. However, the manager of the hotel refused to check in the 2-month infant of my friend by claiming that this infant is illegal and does not have any identification. We gave him the infant’s original birth certificate issued by Dubai Health Authority together with the mother Emirates-ID that showing she’s the mother of this baby but he said why the father is not checking in too. I told him next time we will bring the father, the grandfather, the grandmother, the aunts, the uncles and even the neighbors but this time unfortunately we brought the mother only. The Dubai birth certificate to with the mother Emitates-ID were not enough to let the baby check in with us and he said you can check in the 3 grownups but you have to ask the 2-month baby to leave immediately. We checked in and took the baby and went around searching for a proper hotel who has a competent management and we found a lot of hotels who accepted us together with dangerous baby. We checked in a way better hotel and went back to rexis to check out and take our luggage. We checked out 2 hours after we checked in. We lost the money as Rixos refused to refund our money though we only checked in and out in about 2 hours and we never used the rooms or any facilities. We didn’t even sit a minute in the rooms. I strongly recommend NOT to go to this hotel. It’s really the worst hotel I ever seen in my life

- Verified traveler (4/5): Great hotel, terrible service :( - The hotel itself does not disappoint - great facilities (pool, restaurants, location). However the service at this hotel is barely a 2*. Firstly, on arrival at 10am after a long flight we were told we could not use our all-inclusive stay to have breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready. Instead told we had to pay for breakfast on arrival. I have never experienced any all-inclusive hotel do this. It was a shock after a long flight and immediately made us feel the service would be below-par based on how dismissive the check-in staff were. Eventually I kicked up a fuss so the manager allowed us to have breakfast. Really silly rule, especially as over a week's stay we skipped some meals for beach days or ate on an excursion so it balances out anyway. Poor first impression as soon as you check-in. Throughout the week, loads of below-par examples of hospitality and service. Almost all the staff cannot speak proper English so asking questions is pointless, even about food or local attractions. The concierge could not speak a word of English and told us wrong information about a theme park. Food in the buffet is fine but DOUBLE CHECK if you are vegetarian - the labels are not accurate and sometimes it says V when it clearly had meat in (eg. in the salad). The choices for vegetarians is average. They have a daily BBQ but only meat - no vege options like falafel wraps or anything like that. Hotel is also popular with Russian tourists who are rude.

- Jyoti (8/5): - The hotel seems to cater for mainly Russians. The all inclusive concept available seems to bring down the quality of what would be an incredible hotel. Would be nice to have some English children’s channels seeing as the hotel is meant to cater for families. The pools by the afternoon were dirty - rubbish, food and hair and a thin sheet of what looks like a combination of dirt and sunscreen floating around the edges in the big family pool. The Rixy kids club is a bit erratically run with some staff members forcing children to take part in activities. Food is very average in the buffet restaurants. The rooms are well styled and furnished to a high standard. Lots to like and lots to improve on!

- Ahmed (6/5): - Loved the hotel and the facilities provided. It was extremely clean and the views were beautiful. Did not really like how we got kicked out of the "adult pool". All of the other pools were extremely cold and we were told we cannot swim in the adult pool with our kids. We spent 2 nights at the hotel and couldn't swim. When I tried to explain to the life guards that we really want to swim, they ended up calling security - not what we expected from a 5 star hotel. I brought this issue to the reception and they mentioned it was being investigated. I did not hear from them after that.
- Tony (6/5): - Night stands don’t not have USB charging, very inconvenient. Desk power outlet is deficient. The least enjoyable part of our stay was that there was no night lights in the bathroom or anywhere, even the dimming mode in the bathroom presented an uncomfortable sleeping and resting experience, folding translucent bathroom door panels are immediately next to the bed, extremely poor design. Hotel has a good looking pool and has its own protected beach, the Marina Mall is just across the street, location was very good and the building looks kind of like the Atlantis The Palm in Dubai. We picked the hotel because of the pool and the shape of the hotel. Seafood buffet was not impressive, none of the seafood including crabs, shrimps and mini lobsters were not fresh, I didn’t even touch any of them the second day… I would give it a 3 star for our two night stay experience.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Rixos marina - Arrived at the hotel @ 1pm.... waited 2 hours before room was made available.... No problem!!!! But we were given 2 beds for 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 6). After numerous requests.... advised to use a cot for a 6 year old. Eventually....2 hours wasted, given a different room after i provided proof of email that a bed each was requested prior to our stay and confirmation was received. Even this different room was same size.... but 3 single beds.... maybe double beds, but were too small for 4 people. Crazy!!!! Oh yes, we were told that in the email correspondence from the hotel.... it stated subject to availability. When booking was made..... or clearly stated room suitable for 4... Wish i knew from before!!!! Customer Service Not great..... Decent prayer room facilities, nice beach. Room was a tad dirty, worn out. Certain staff members were very good... helpful. Food was good, but limited in some areas.... I'm only comparing with hilton, where we stayed prior to arriving at Rixos.

- Dina (10/5): - Amazing mini break at a great hotel to visit some friends in abu dhabi. Firat went out of his way several times to make sure our stay was pleasant and we had a great experience at the Rixos. We will be back again in a few weeks and we can't wait. The hotel is in the perfect location and you actually feel like you are on a remote island. The structure of the hotel as you drive up to it is overwhelming!
