Guest Reviews
- AchillIslandMayo2 (8/5): Budget hotel suitable for short term stay - Stayed here on as a couple on 3rd December on a room only basis, at a cost of €78.98. The room was tiny with extremely limited space - just enough to shuffle either side of the bed & at the bottom of the bed. There is no storage , other than a shallow recessed area with 3 hangers that when our coats were hung up extruded into the room beside the bed. There are 2 small recessed shelves at the bedside for a phone but not much else. There was absolutely nowhere to leave luggage so we left it on the floor behind the door. The bathroom was very compact. The place was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and towels were soft and fluffy. This is perfectly fine for a 1 night stay and good value. Reception is open 24 hours. Coffee station in the lobby but no restaurant on-site.
- Phil-E-C-81 (2/5): Would never stay at an Easy Hotel again as understand it is budget but a soiled wet mattress is a step to far - Whilst I appreciate it is a budget hotel which explains the small rooms, no kettle etc you would at least expect a level hygiene.
We arrived on Friday, left our bags in the room and headed out into Dublin for the evening.
On returning at the end of the night, we started to get ready to settle down, and on untucking the duvet from under the mattress it was soaking wet.
I then proceed to investigate further and remove the bed sheet to find the mattress was soaked from the previous occupants of the room who had obviously soiled them self’s
The housekeeping had decided to put a water proof mattress topper on the mattress to address this but had failed to realise the fluid went all the way through the mattress so when they touch the duvet an sheets under the mattress they become soaked.
My wife and I felt disgusted and didn’t want to stay in room but due to being Christmas we didn’t have much choice and even considered flying home.
I would like to say though, the night staff were outstanding and couldn’t do enough to help address and apologise.
They couldn’t move use due to being full but got us a brand new mattress, bedding and everything.
This has been my worst experience of a hotel and never left somewhere feeling so dirty and disgusted. If you respect your hygiene and have standards I would avoid EasyHotels if they think this behaviour is acceptable for housekeeping.
- MafaldaA112 (10/5): Dublin stay - Nice hotel with excellent staff and nice location... It's about half an hour from temple bar but since the city is plain it's a really nice walk.. The rooms are small but cozy and clean... I can't stress enough how nice and helpful the staff is.. They're always ready to help you with any situation and give you advice about the best places to go.. The only down that's not a down really, it's that they don't serve meals but as I said, you only need to ask and they will direct you to the best places to visit..
If I ever return I would stay here again..
A special regard to the portuguese employee, she was lovely.. ^^
- Nickrowley1980 (10/5): Great little hotel - This hotel is lovely clean and friendly the staff are friendly the other guest are respectful didn’t hear much noise from people coming and going
the rooms are small and there isn’t a wardrobe
But that’s not to bad if you a clean towel you have to ask . The beds are ok I’ve slept on much worse
And there is only one pillow
But I would definitely stay here again as it is in a good location about a 20 minute to the main bars
- bossm873 (4/5): NO room & not easy - Paid 184 for a single (double bed room) there was barely enough space left in the room after the double bed filled it, and could here the Tram even though it was on 3rd floow...
- R1348FOmarkh (10/5): Excellent experience - I had a great stay at easyHotel Dublin! The customer service was excellent, everyone was friendly and accommodating. A special thanks to Hector, who was especially helpful and made my experience even better. Great value for money and a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
- BarryMcD45 (4/5): Very disappointing - What a disappointment! Firstly, I'm aware that this is supposed to be budget accommodation, but this wasn't even that. I don't consider €123 to be cheap for a one night room only stay booked in advance on what is traditionally the quietest night of the week for hotels, even in Dublin. Now the rest; the room is tiny, with no storage space whatsoever (one could hang up two coats, that's it), nowhere to put a bag if you don't like leaving it on the floor, the bed is rock hard, the pillows are really thin, almost useless, the TV only has Irish terrestrial channels and the YouTube link doesn't work, there is no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. Even with a 10am checkout, housekeeping were knocking on our door at 9.15! Poor, very poor. Would definitely not recommend. Only bright part was the two really pleasant young ladies on the front desk.
- philipgM7636WR (10/5): Good stay - The room was a bit small. Good staff, Hector was very friendly and helpful. Tesco, spar and Centra is near the hotel. I got a early check in
- Tom (6/5): - Whilst the staff were excellent and the shared areas clean and tidy, rooms are not great, just poor design. Simply too basic for still a very high price - beds are hard, rooms impractical, nowhere to put luggage other than on the floor and bathrooms smell of urine. I would not return.
- Matthew (2/5): - This hotels rooms are too small.
I could not open up my suitcase unless it was on my bed.
The bathroom was entirely too small.
If you are in your 20’s and trying to save money, you can make this work. Otherwise spend a bit more and do not stay here.
These are the new style of economic builds for hotels where they maximize space.
The price was too high for what this was.
The area around it was not even very nice.
The hotel staff was professional and helpful.
I was annoyed they did not clean my room everyday because my bathroom was alway soak from the shower being 1/2 of the bathroom. If you sit on the toilet your feet are in the shower.
It was not far from Guinness and Jameson which was why I chose it.
- Paul (10/5): - Excellent and accommodating staff. Clean facilities. Will stay again!
- Jordan (2/5): - Blood stain on bedding.
Something classed as a 'pillow', had to use the towels as extra padding for pillows.
Questionable stains on curtain.
- Philip (6/5): - Clean
- joe (8/5): - Easyhotel is great value but rooms are small with no desk
- Jonathan (10/5): - Simple, quiet, clean and close to transit and attractions.
- Jennifer (10/5): Loved Our Stay - Located close to Dublin’s centre, very walkable. We enjoyed the restaurants in Stoneybatter. Marina and Marta were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was cosy and clean and we slept really well.
- Linda (2/5): - The beds were horrible, it was like punishment! The mattress was thin and you could feel every coil they were like sleeping on wood! The pillows were flat! Then I went down at 5:00 am and they guy told me they were cleaning the coffee tea maker 45 minutes I sat there in my PJ’s never spoke to me did not tell me it would take that long! Then you have to pay for it!
- Emma (6/5): - The mattresss was flipped to the wrong side. It was really uncomfortable until we flipped it back the following night.
The pillows are also very flat though the staff did give extra pillows when we asked.
- Thomas (6/5): - Nice staff and decent location. Very poor quality mattress and room was tiny (even moreso than expected).
- A2u3b (8/5): Spot On - Exactly as we needed ideally located Clean, Comfartable, Warm, Quiet, Small, and no mod cons. If u need extra pillows its not a problem. Lovely helpfull Staff. Good Price.
- Rajeanne (8/5): - If you’re looking for a basic hotel that is clean with friendly staff, easyHotel is perfect. Our room had what we needed and was very clean when we arrived. The staff is super friendly. They have coffee and snack machines in the lobby and a convenience store within a 5 minute walk. The Luas tram stop is close by as well.
- Thomas (4/5): - The room was clean but very small. The water pressure was minimal along with the sink being partially clogged. It is a barebones hotel without any extras, no coffee maker or tissues. It is good just for a place to sleep.
- Kate (2/5): - Terrible rooms
- David (4/5): - Bed and pillows made for rough night of sleep, no hot water for 3 days in my room. staff was great.
- Mark (6/5): - It is what it is
- Eva (8/5): - The hotel is well situated. The check in was welcoming. The director of the hotel gave us a lot of information about the area, where to eat and what, where things were, etc.
The room was big but there is nothing there but the bed and a stool.
- 997grahamw (4/5): Easyhotel Dublin - Start with the positives. Staff were great polite and full of great local information. the room was clean. The room was so small might be ok for a one night stop over. A good walk from the city centre so got the tram every day. The price I paid was too high for the experience.
- keith (10/5): - Friendly helpful front desk staff
- iamrhysy (8/5): Small but affordable - Decent hotel, in comparison to my stay at Cardiff which was a shoebox, we had a decent sized room on the side of the hotel with a window. The lack of two pillows and extra small bed are my only complaints but free wifi and two towels for both of us was great. Some easyHotels in England have one towel for two people weirdly but not here. Location is convenient for Tesco Express and Spar and 30 minutes walk to most major sights. Given the price I would recommend for a cheap hotel if you're not keen on a hostel, all be it small.
- Paula (6/5): - If you are frequenting temple bar or O’Connell street then this is a good 15-20minute walk away.
The hotel was clean and staff decent, very basic amenities.
- bruno (6/5): - We had a room Lafarge with two separate twin bedsThe room was by fa close r notso the
- Maxwell (10/5): - All employee's we encountered were very courteous and knowledgeable, with good advice for the area. Special mention to Sarp.. friendly and ready to help where he could.
- Madalina (10/5): - Clean, friendly, nice staff, very good experience
- Sururat (2/5): - Our stay was terrible, we stayed two nights and heater wasn't working, even when they claimed it was working. The room was so small and we paid £410 for two nights for that crappy room. But the staffs were delightful.
- Britnee (6/5): - The staff was very kind. They allowed me a late checkout (subject to availability), gave me extra pillows when I requested them, and helped me get a cab to the airport. The tram outside was very convenient to get around Dublin.
The property was clean and modern. It’s advertised the rooms are tiny, but I didn’t think they’d be as tiny as they were. I’m glad I was solo because there simply wouldn’t have been room for a second person. I only had a backpack with me and still struggled to store it. The bed was terribly uncomfortable.
It was a budget-friendly place to crash, but don’t expect anything fancy.
- Natalie (6/5): - Cheap and basic. Close to lots of tourist locations within Dublin. However the rooms are very compact and bed was not great. The mattress was very hard and we only had one flat pillow so sleeping was uncomfortable. Also it’s so close to the tram line that did keep us awake as they would pass the hotel every 10-15 minutes until the service closed at midnight. However the staff were very polite and friendly and the overall hotel was clean and well looked after.
- Paul (10/5): - Be sure to check which you book because we had a double bed and the bed barely fit in thw room,,,,not very spacious at all.
- Sheetal (8/5): - This compact room worked for me as a solo traveler, but I was surprised by two things
- Andreas (8/5): Hotel review - It's a nice hotel for those on a budget, very modern and friendly staff. Don't expect too much space in your room but it's perfect for those traveling lightly.
- Robert (10/5): - Very clean
- Pirkko Helena (4/5): - Convenient to Luas. Shockingly minimal. Ok for short stay. Week - tough. RM 321 looks down on Wood street- rubbish and crack users Can be observed. Kind of sad. Perhaps the front view is good? Staff pleasant. Good value.
- Sean (10/5): - Excellent stay and serivce from the staff
- Michael (4/5): - The room was TINY. Not seen such a small room since I stayed in Tokyo. Hardly room to change your clothes. No hairdryer, no tea/coffee. And overpriced. Not sure if that was because I booked through Expedia rather than directly. It was convenient for my tour of the Guinness Store. The staff were VG and the room was V clean. Other than that I was not impressed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was not as big as the picture showed.
- Joe (6/5): - Fairly cheap compared to other hotels in Dublin and staff were friendly.
Other than that there’s not a lot nice to say: room not particularly clean, rogue hairs on the bed sheets and shower head, some suspicious stains on walls, dusty surfaces, and I wish I had never made the mistake of looking under the bed (well the part that isn’t hidden by a wooden box)
In a rough area which a taxi driver informed me is one of the worst around Dublin. A lot of homeless junkies wandering around, household and commercial waste scattered on the pavements and apparently used to be famous for prostitution. “easy hotel” could be interpreted a bit differently in this context…
As a broader point I wish budget hotels would stop framing cost-cutting as being eco friendly, just be honest and say that you don’t change the towels, clean the rooms, and automatically switch off the aircon to keep overheads low rather than pretending it’s about saving the environment (which is particular laughable for a company who are primarily known as an airline)
I’ll end on a positive though, the staff did seem genuinely lovely so this isn’t a criticism of them, but a criticism aimed at the corporate and management level.
- Lawrence (8/5): - The staff was excellent, so very helpful! I would definitely suggest the place to friends. Thanks for everything.
- Gregory (10/5): - All the staff is great. The facility is new and clean.
- Heather (6/5): - This was a miss for me. While the cost was less than other hotels, the value wasnt there. I didnt sleep well as I found the walls to be very thin. I could hear a lot of noise from the hallway. The climate control was loud and inconsistent. The pillows were atrocious.
- Isamar (10/5): - Great hotel!
- Allison (8/5): - The staff was great. Very helpful.
The rooms are a bit misrepresented.
- Tywain (10/5): - Great customer service! Excellent location for sites and dining! 24 hr accomodation. As a traveler I will definitely reserve Easyhotel again if it is available. Shouts out to Lorenzo @Easyhotel in Dublin. Will recommend.
- Ted (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly!
- Marina (2/5): - The most basic and smallest room and bathroom you can imagine. There is no place to even open a small carry on suitcase.
- Ewan (2/5): Awful stay - Worst hotel stay ever, mattress was like a brick and the pillow was cheap rubbish, hardly slept and now have a soar neck. Very poor for the premium rate they charge.
- Samuel (8/5): - run down area
- Martyn J (8/5): Very basic for the cost - Very basic for the cost
- Suzanne (10/5): Basic but modern and convenient - Overnight stay for a concert. Location is v good between luas stops on red line. Rooms are small but adequate for overnight. Modern decor but room was a little dusty. Bathroom was clean
No toiletries other than soap/ bodywash and limited towels and pillows, but we didnt ask for more. No cups, glasses, tea/ coffee in room but facilities in lobby for a fee.
Got a complimenntary late checkout ,which was great after a late evening arrival.
Staff we met all v obliging and relaxed
- GingerInAustin (6/5): A small step up from a hostel: never again! - The good: kind, informative and helpful staff, 24h reception, secure entry, cold A/C, blackout blinds, en suite bathroom with a hot shower, adequate chargers/outlets, a window that cracked open, hairdryer upon request, great location right on the Luas Red Line near Heuston train station, near oodles of pubs and restaurants but away from the craziness of Temple Bar which is a quick tram ride away.
The bad: by far the most cramped room I have ever encountered, to the point of being a trip/fire hazard (can’t imagine the horror of evacuating this hotel in an emergency); no storage except a tiny 3-hanger rack on the wall and space under foot of bed for two closed carryon bags, no chair, no gathering or seating space outside the room save a single couch in the lobby, overpriced coffee/tea machine in the lobby.
The ugly: rock-hard double bed with two thin flat pillows (got better sleep on the ferry/train!), thin walls, and lots of noise from the A/C constantly snap-crackle-popping on any/all settings, tram line, and housekeepers running their sweepers into walls; we swore we heard someone running a power drill on our floor during the day! A/C cuts off at the hottest times of the day, can be turned on manually but shuts off again after an hour. So forget about getting any sleep day or night. Oh and the balconies from the apartments next door look directly into rooms so keep those blackout blinds closed!
- Connor (8/5): - Stayed here for 1 night.
- amy_and03 (6/5): Poor housekeeping - Hotel room was nice and spacious, couple of things that let it down was only having one flat pillow each, dirty towels with brown stains on them that were there on arrival and my partner finding a dried jalapeño when he pulled back the duvet that was amongst the “clean” bedding
- Ecaterina (10/5): - Front desk staff were amazing and very helpful.
Marija is great!
- Claire (8/5): - Clean, great transport, felt safe
- Sunshine54383742069 (8/5): Great location , quiet at night , helpful staff ..only gripe was the flat pillow - We loved our stay. So easy to find on the tram line from Central Railway Station. Lovely staff , modern bathroom , comfy beds except for the flat pillows..our only complaint. We didnt ask for a second pillow which was a bit silly as Im sure they would have been available. A great location for a few days in Dublin.
- Venture473552 (4/5): sardine in. a can , windows do not open, friendly staff - firstly, on a positive note the staff are all friendly- except the girl at check out who did not even say thanks for staying nor did you have a good stay. The location is good I stayed 5 nights, way too long but prices in dublin were so high, it was my only option. This is more of an airport hotel, you stay for one night or rent for a few hours. THE WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN SO THERE IS NO FRESH AIR ! I am not sure how a hotel is allowed to be built with fresh air circulating ? even Ibis budget has a desk chair in the room, these rooms have nothing. no chair no closet, no desk, no table ... -- no where to put your suitcases, i cannot imagine another person in the room i was in ? its not possible. Also, there is no cleaning ? for 5 nights ? yet on the day of checkout, housekeeping is at my door at 10 am ?? absurd ! not ok
i felt like i was on an easy jet airplane, -- like a sardine in a can. the bottom line here is money for the corporation- there is one 2 seater chesterfield couch in the lobby ? they cant even put in chairs ? or a common area on the roof ? there is no breakfast.. its shameful honestly . Check out is at 10 am ? not even 11 am or noon, and they want you to pay more ? its just about money and corporate greed
the room is clean but dusty , as there is no window opening and the housekeeping does not even offer you toilet paper for 5 nights, at least the room was quiet as i requested in the back- i did find it a bit shocking that English is not the first language of any of the staff, no one is Irish, nice staff but still - anyhow. this is an airport hotel, not a hotel to spend any more than one night out of necessity..
- veronica (10/5): - The rooms were small but spotless. Everything was very eco-friendly and very clean. Staff was available 24/7 and keycards were required for building entry past 11pm and at all times for the elevator. Location was good, quite close to the train station and temple bar area. It was pretty quiet at night which was surprising with how close some pubs were. Overall, a really nice stay.
- JOAN (10/5): Just enough - I saw a review that said the rooms are tiny. They didn’t lie! That’s all we needed, a place to shower and sleep. One suggestion though, put some hooks on the wall to hang clothing, coats or towels. Three hangers in the nook weren’t enough for 2 people.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower, this is the spot. No frills just a bed, a shower, a towel.
- Jennifer (8/5): Ultra tight room - The room was ultra tight - turning sideways to move between the two beds, and between the foot of the bed and the wall. The beds were not comfortable and had flat pillows. Nowhere to put luggage except on your bed - yuck!
The bathroom was small but efficient and included hand soap along with a shampoo/body wash combo in the single stall shower.
The room provided USB plugs for convenience on either side of the bed.
- Kathryn (8/5): Nice Stay - Room was good, carparking was good, location was good
- Sabrina (8/5): - This place was just what we needed! Not at all spacious and very simple but we spent pretty much every moment outside the hotel.
- Connie (8/5): - The hotel rooms were small and have limited storage but we loved the staff! They were so fun to chat with and were always helpful. The shower was amazing and the room was very clean. The only drawbacks were the lack of storage or seating in the rooms and somewhat hard beds.
- Sarah (6/5): - TV didn’t work, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Tiniest/ thinnest pillow ever. You can buy nicer ones on Amazon for £5.
- david (10/5): Lovely Dublin - Great room, even better staff. Very friendly and helpful. Best part of the stay
- Nancy (8/5): - Rooms are very small. I liked that they were so environmently conscious. The staff was so friendly and nice. The trolleys went by very frequently and fast.
- Don (6/5): Small Basic rooms - I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, my experience was mixed. The main issue I encountered was that the rooms were smaller than what was indicated in the pictures on the website. The photos gave the impression of a spacious and comfortable space, but in reality, the rooms were quite cramped and felt much tighter than expected. While the amenities were decent and the staff was friendly, the misleading room size was disappointing and affected my overall comfort during the stay. If you're considering booking here, I recommend confirming the room dimensions beforehand to avoid surprises.
- Paul (10/5): Nice hotel - Budget friendly hotel in Dublin.
Clean rooms. Maybe a little on the small side but who’s spending their holiday IN the hotel?
A breakfast option would have made it even better.
- LINDA (10/5): - No frills, clean, walkable to great restaurants and bus
- Mohammed (6/5): - To small no space to breath
- Mallory (4/5): - I liked the price for the location at first until I arrived. I did not like having to park 3 blocks away. I really did not like the size of the room. There was absolutely no space to put luggage in the room. My husband and I literally had to open and close our suitcases over and over the whole time because we had to store them in the corner of the room in order to have enough room to get to the bathroom. I would not stay here again even for the price.
- Benjamin (8/5): - Although the hotel was on the minimal side in terms of amenities (no breakfast, for instance), it was really clean, the staff were really friendly and accommodating, and it was located near plenty of great things to do! I would definitely stay here again. Plus, there was a great cafe on the same block which served an excellent breakfast/lunch.
- Angela (8/5): - Small but perfectly adequate for our stay. Helpful staff and only 10min walk from centre of the city.
Could have been cleaner. Battery was found under the bed and floor a little unclean.
Overall would stay at an Easy hotel again
- Alofi T (10/5): - Love this hotel! The staff are great
- david (8/5): - Close to things we wanted to walk to & transportation. Affordable place to stay.
But wow tiny. and if yogurt a double, absolutely nowhere to put your bag in the room. And no hand towels. Or shampoo.
- 950saady (10/5): Lovely experience - Great location, nice, clean rooms and very comfy beds. Staff was very friendly and accomodating espeacially the manager Enrico. Looking forward to stay again soon. Highly recomended.
- Rich (8/5): - Great for short stays. Convenient location. Environmentally friendly. Not a bells and whistles hotel. Does the job well for a few days.
- Meredith (6/5): - Room was fine, only real negative was that the bed was hard as a rock. Hard to sleep on. Property is within easy walking distance of all the things you’d want to see or do, area just outside it though is pretty dirty
- Kevin (10/5): - Staff are super nice and helpful. No parking on property. There is public parking garage about a 5 minute walk.
- Telisha (10/5): - Love the concept of this hotel. We didn’t go to Ireland to stay in a room all day. The sustainable and energy conservation idea of this property encouraged us to get out and explore more than we normally would have. Marta was our favorite staff member she was so nice and personable.
- Robert (10/5): - GREAT LOCATION ON STREET TRANSPORT,FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY CLEAN ,
- Charlene (8/5): - We have recently stayed at this property for two nights and it was a good location for choosing meals out, visiting the local attractions.
Staff were really friendly and willing to help and guide, even making sure we got in our taxis safe they were pleasant.
Definitely would stay again.
- Mason (10/5): - 10/10 perfect
- Q292QXtomw (10/5): Excellent no-frills hotel - Great hotel for the price.
Small and compact rooms - but clean and modern and with great aircon that keeps it lovely and cool.
Shower and bathroom both great.
An excellent base to explore the city - 20 mins or so walk down the Liffey to the city centre.
- Jenna (8/5): - Really good place to stay if you just need a place to crash. Rooms are intimate and close quarters. Beds are a bit hard. Overall easy hotel is VERY close to multiple attractions and was a comfortable place to stay short term. We thank the staff for their kind care and assistance.
- Helen (10/5): - Very basic but clean, central and lovely staff.
- Kaeli (2/5): - The bed sheets were stained brown and red and the staff seemed annoyed when I asked for new bedding. They brought one new sheet and I had to ask for more to then make the beds myself
- 812terig (8/5): Good location and price - Location was convenient to most of the other side of the river, within walking distance to most tourist destinations, and close to bus/rail. Front desk staff were wonderful and helpful, with good knowledge of the area and city, willing to answer questions. Room was quiet and enough for our needs (although small by North American standards- but expected for Europe), and the option to have 2 beds was appreciated. Due to North American inbound flights, would have liked the option to check in early.
- sarahmC1871TR (8/5): Weekend trip - Pleasantly surprised
Spotlessly clean and safe environment
Ideal location 10min walk from car park
Very friendly and accommodating staff
Room/bathroom on the small side but ideal for a one night quick visit
Only downside only had one flat pillow each per room
- Allen (8/5): - Good hotel in a spot that is further away than you might think. It is a dirty sketchy area around the hotel and a bit far for walking - I knew that going in but others might not.
Hotel itself is clean. Extremely basic. Stay for a night or two and go elsewhere kind of deal. Nothing wrong with that but know what you're getting into.
- Mark (10/5): - Great staff. Small rooms but served their purpose. Stoneybatter is such a great neighbourhood and close to transportation.
- Patricia (6/5): - Only towels for the floors and large towels to dry. No ice
