- Filiz (9/5): Pratique et confortable - L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier "émergeant" : c'est à dire moins connu des touristes, mais très vivant. On trouve de tout dans le quartier, la ligne de métro est très pratique. Les chambres familiales sont très bien pensées : pas de perte de place avec les lits en hauteurs. Des cloisons pour pouvoir isoler la partie nuit de la partie salon, pratique quand on se réveille plus tôt que les autres. Un étage où vous avez les machines à laver et sèche linge. Pour ceux qui ont des enfants en bas âge, il y a aussi un espace dédié, où les enfants peuvent jouer sans gêner les autres occupants. Et détail important : les fenêtres s'ouvrent en oscillant/battant pour ceux qui aiment avoir de l'air venant de l'extérieur. Le seul point un peu négatif est qu'on entend pas mal le bruit venant des chambres supérieures (les gens ne s'en rendent pas forcément compte, donc le pas n'est pas léger quand les gens marchent), en revanche aucun bruit venant des chambres mitoyennes. Le seul bémol, mais vraiment petit est qu'on entend les pas des occupants de la chambre supérieure. Je suis très sensible au bruit, mais malgré tout, j'ai reloué une deuxième fois cet hôtel, c'est donc vraiment pas un point bloquant.

Property was reasonably close to the train station. Kitchen facilities were great & we loved the bathroom. Our young granddaughter loved the “deep” bath I accidentally requested a “Japanese” room…hence we were on the floor. It wasn’t uncomfortable…just difficult to get up & down from the bed.

- Melanie (10/5): We had a great 4 night stay. Would recommend for people interested in staying in Ikebukero. 5-7 mins walk to the station - We loved the large room with the dining room, kitchen facilities and loved having a chance to make some breakfast or light meals. Comfy beds and blockout blinds. We used the laundry facilities which worked well. Friendly staff. The location was good if you are interested in staying in Ikebukuro, we enjoyed it but would try a different Mimaru location in Tokyo next time.

- Maria (9/5): Great hotel for big families! - The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were spacious, clean, and I loved that it had a living room with the kitchen/ washer/dryer. I like that they provided different things like pajamas, various tea options. They also had kids/family activities but we forgot to check them out. The hotel is a short walk away from the food vendors and train stations but it's tucked in a more quiet area so our room was not noisy at all. The bed could be a bit more comfortable.

We loved that it was so close to one of the main subway stations in Tokyo and how you could easily walk to many restaurants and shopping areas. The pillows were too soft for us.

Full kitchen and multiple bathrooms were very convenient for our family of 4. We really liked the mini house style accommodations versus a plain room with just a bed and bath. We often would bring home food and drinks from the many convenience stores nearby and have a private meal or snack at our leisure. Location is off the beaten path while still being close enough to walk to Ikebukuro's tourist attractions without much effort. Ikebukuro train station is just a leisurely 10 minute walk away or around 6 minutes at a brisk pace. The only thing I didn't care for personally was that the beds felt extra firm but if you like firm you are all set. Note: there are no ice machines on property so either you will have to make your own with the provided ice trays in the freezer or pick some up from the many convenience stores nearby.

- Yogi (10/5): Mimaru Ikebukuro is the best accomodation for families looking for bigger rooms and convenient location. - The Mimaru Ikebukuro apartment hotel was a very enjoyable stay. The location is amazing, the rooms are much bigger than usual hotels (though can be pricey than most) and the service from the staff was impeccable and highly professional. The staff was able to provide support in multiple languages and were attentive to our needs. The washer/dryer in our room was also very convenient to have. The washer/dryer could’ve been more effective in drying our clothes, though we knew that usual washer/dryer combo machines do take longer to dry clothes. We just had to wash our clothes in smaller batches and more regularly. It’s not a deterrent to our stay at all though, having the washer/dryer machine was already a huge convenience boost.

- Patrick (10/5): Delightful and very easy to navigate the giant city of Tokyo - Staff was very nice, hotel is really clean and provide a ton yo accommodations for foreigners Location has a lot of sex clubs almost on every corner. But centralized and very close to try train. The station was only a 5 min walk, which took you to every where you want to go in the city

- Lai Kwan (7/5): - Hotel rooms is relatively large compared to other hotel in Tokyo, it’s good for family with kids to stay. but the location is not really good, always take 10-15 walk to the centre of Ikebukuro, eg sunshine city, Tobu, Seibu. The soundproofing is bad, we always heard the walking and jumping sound from next level of guest, it’s quite disturbing.

Many amenities and services available like child minding or luggage forwarding. Area is very close to bars and clubs not family friendly walking area from the station. Lobby was very busy with lot of luggages for forwarding.

- Nicole (10/5): Pokemon lovers dream room - We got the Pokemon room so the joy it brought our kids to search for Pokemon was worth it, plus the kitchen and space for a room in Japan were much appreciated. About my only dislike was the cost, but it was not unexpected for a theme room.

We really enjoyed our stay here, with the staff being fiendly, helpful and professional; the rooms were clean and spacious (especially for Tokyo) - and the kitchen much more functional than other places we'd stayed at. The location is ok - but its not quite as central in Ikebukuro as you'd imagine.

- Iain (10/5): Perfect location to be close enough to the tourist area of Tokyo yet far enough to remain sane. - Location was perfect, close to a huge selection of restaurants and minutes from the station. The Pokémon room was great with our kids. The pillows. Yikes.

- Mary (8/5): Would stay again. - Good size and location. Very friendly staff. Beds quite hard. Washer/dryer in our suite wouldn’t dry properly and took 3x dry cycles (9hrs) to get a single load dry. After 3 seperate times doing this we gave up and paid to use the dryer in the 2nd floor common laundry area.

- Andrew (9/5): A great place to stay in Tokyo! - Staff were incredibly hospitable, & helpful. Location is perfect, close to everything but quiet. Room was fantastic & beds were super comfortable. There was even a suica travel card kiosk in the foyer! Foyer was a little cramped at checkout time but otherwise nothing to fault.
