The breakfast was very limited, the room was big but the mattress was uncomfortable, it wasn't very clean. Arrived at 3pm and no room service, not open restaurant to eat something..

Lam (10/5): It's almost a perfect stay time - Room is clean, location is good and staffs are extremely helpful I think this is my 4th stay here with this property and every single time at check in I did remind the staffs that please change my bed sheets when they make up room. But so far, probably during the holiday season so hotel are busy, staffs also busy so they still forgot it, still need to call them second time for cleaning the room. Tini tiny details but hopefully next time they not going to forgot me :)

It is impossible to walk anywhere safely as there is no pedestrian sidewalk. The only safe way to move around was by using Grab or the shuttle service provided by the hotel.

Kerry (9/5): Oakwood is a great place to stay and staff super helpful! highly recommend - Oakwood is a great place to stay especially as an overnight stop in Ho Chi Minh and would be a good option if you were staying for business. The location is super quiet away and relatively close to the airport. The apartment was huge and had everything you need including a microwave! Breakfast on the top floor rooftop was great with views of the river. Highly recommend for the price-point and as always in Vietnam the staff were brilliant! Was all great!

While I was resting in the lobby waiting for the bus, she pretended to be filming herself but was actually recording us on video. I don’t know what she intends to do with a video of us just quietly resting, but I found it very offensive and rude. This hotel clearly needs to train its staff properly. The good memories I had at this hotel were greatly tarnished by that employee, and I don’t think I will stay here again if I return to Ho Chi Minh City.

We stayed in the family loft, and it was big enough for the 3 of us. Plenty of space for our suitcases as well as a cupboard to put your things in if you wish. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and electrical inputs to charge phones etc. Plenty of windows with views of the city. Bathroom was huge including a big bath. But I had to continually ask for toilet paper, there was 3 of us, one roll was not sufficient enough. Shower was big and water pressure was good. Big towels to wrap yourself in after your shower. Hairdryer and slippers to use if you wish (we didn't use the slippers). Kitchen well stocked if you are going to cook with space for preparation and microwave. The room itself was clean. When I tried to watch the TV, the set top box did not work, when I let reception know, they sent a staff member to rectify the problem asap. Airconditioning can be changed to suit your needs. The Manager of the hotel on the 12th floor was wonderful. Mr Sou ??? Sorry if I have the spelling wrong. He took the time to speak with me and my family, answering any questions we had. The staff in the hotel restaurant were absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. We ate in the restaurant several time and the pricing for food and drinks is fair. The views from the top floor were breathtaking, you can see all over the city and the watch the boats on the river. There are overhead fans and the cool breeze certainly helps after the mugginess of the day. The restaurant staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I would give the restaurant a 10/10. You can call the front desk and ask to catch the free bus into the city, they have many different times through the day that the transport is available, return is not an option, so you have to get your own way back to the hotel. We just used Grab taxis. My initial contact with one of the staff was not pleasant, she was quite rude. We were going to change our plans due to a family issue, and she was not going to let us change our plans unless we showed her proof of the illness our family was experiencing (back home), she wanted proof of flight changes, proof of sickness etc... she was quite difficult to deal with, pretty much saying we could not leave, telling me that the Manager could only allow us to leave, like we were prisoners or something. What a load of rubbish. I had paid my deposit, so if I wanted to leave, I could have. My kids were so upset by her attitude that in the end we stayed as they were worried she would cause problems for us by calling the police. She needs to learn to deal with customers better than she did with me. Hotel is overpriced for the room and area. The black doors in the bathroom were not cleaned, you could clearly see the handprints from previous guests. 2 small chairs to watch the TV are not enough, there is enough space to add a small couch, and the chairs were old and uncomfortable. The hotel is in an area where there are no foot paths, so you have to walk on the roads with the traffic. This can be quite daunting. To get to some of the shops, you need to walk down dimly lit lane ways and into a more residential area and there are very few westerners in this area. The hotel also wanted to charge per item for our laundry which is an utter rip off. There is a laundry directly across the road from the hotel that we used, our washing was done on time and smelt lovely and done at a fraction of the price that the hotel charges. Just remember to tip the person doing your laundry. I would not stay here again, my initial interaction with that one rude female staff member left a bad taste in my mouth. The only positive for this hotel is the Restaurant, the restaurant manager, the staff and the food. The low score is due to the staff member being so rude to me.

I was able to relax, do my laundry and reboot after travelling for sometime.? They have no pool which would be nice but I was aware of this on booking so not a deal breaker.

There's a new rooftop bar which had amazing views of the city. Shower wasn't brilliant and TV only had CNN. Neither things were big issues.

Yixin (9/5): Customer service is a highlight! - The hotel was neat and clean and the welcome drink was excellent! Encountered noise from the top floor renovation during our stay and fed back to customer service, the solution was satisfactory and upgraded our room in a timely manner! This hotel is a very good choice if you don't live in the city centre, which is about a 15-20 minute drive away. Overall it's very good, just some edges that need to be fixed.
Mohit (10/5): Great room, perfect for relaxing and staying away from city noise - The hotel is one of the best accommodation you can have at this price. The staff was very friendly, arranged a special cake for our anniversary which was beyond our expectations, assisted in arranging a rented bike, what more you can expect! The overall experience with the room was very great as well. Room size is very very big and you can have the best time here! Loved the bath tub. I am sorry, but the location! Yes it is around 6kms far away from the main area! Even though the roads are safe at late nights as well, its just that doesnt make the things easy after a whole day of sightseeing. Less options for food.
