Guest Reviews
- Tara (6/5): Suited our needs for the night as an affordable bed to sleep in! - Hotel Concord is located in a beautiful and relatively quiet location, which I really appreciated. The amenities were kept relatively clean and the staff were friendly. The room was quite well soundproofed and the pub noises from downstairs didn’t keep us awake at night! Personally, the absolute highlight of the stay was the steak sandwich in the bistro, cooked to absolute perfection and a must try! The bedroom itself had a fair few stains on the walls and lacked ventilation with none of the windows opening.
- Sharon (8/5): Fitted the bill perfectly - great value for money - This was the closest and only available accommodation close to a hospital dinner that I was attending with a friend . I have never stayed in hotel accommodation before with shared bathroom facilities etc, and was a little nervous about that - but was very pleasantly surprised - nor have I ever stayed in accommodation for that price or that star rating :) But, the accommodation fitted our needs perfectly for a place to stay for the night with comfortable beds and clean bathroom facilities close to our room. We both found on street parking for the duration quite easily and close. Noise was not a problem (although we had the fan and air conditioner on to filter that) and we were both very comfortable. Some nice little cafes to have breakfast in in the morning - (with a nice inner west vibe) and we were on our way to our respective homes rested and fed. N/A
- Megan (10/5): Clean and tidy great staff - Clean and tidy More rooms with your own toilet
- Gorton (10/5): - Great staff, great beer choices, great meals !!! The beds are a little small if you're over 6 foot tall like me, but other than that A++
- Hollie (6/5): - Staff were lovely, good food at the pub, and right next to the train. Bathrooms were kinda dirty and the tv did my work.
- Geoffrey (3/5): Bring your earplugs if you want to be able to sleep after 6:30am. - Location, friendly staff, good food Check your insulation — it’s very noisy. Avoid rooms 1 or 2 near the office, as you can hear them counting money and moving back and forth early in the morning and late at night...
A room at the back would be much quieter.

- Tenuun (7/5): excellent - good good
- Sandra (9/5): - Excellent for walking to the stadium for a sporting or music event. Short train trip into the centre of the city.
- Zoe (10/5): -
- Gersbach (8/5): Perfect for a concert at Olympic park - Location was excellent for a concert a Qudos arena. Parked across the road. Was all good
- Edgar Yair (3/5): -
- Donna (7/5): -
- Albertini (7/5): - The check in was super easy and the staff very friendly. The room was good quality for the price. The ventilation wasn’t great in such hot weather, only a fan and our window didn’t stay open, it made it a bit uncomfortable
- Steve C (4/5): Convenient, friendly, great pub vibe and good food, but unfortunately accommodation was below par. - Location close to Olympic Park is handy with a decent walk to and from. Pub atmosphere and food menu is excellent. Check in and check out simple and quick. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room had a very very old air con which made little to no difference to the temperature or humidity. The bathroom and kitchenette had cockroaches scvattering when lights were turned on. The bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point of getting very little sleep. We stayed one night of our planned two.

- bella (4/5): - It was close to the train station. Some of the staff were lovely. Quite untidy and dated. Shared bathroom needed lots of tlc- our quilt had pee stains, only one window barely opened + the window rattler was filthy, also the food was very average.
- Gregory (5/5): Disappointing. I really needed to get some sleep! - Location was excellent for a function in Bicentennial Park. Train station at the door. 15 minutes from Sydney Airport by Uber. Pubic hairs around the toilet bowl. Hairs in the shower. I paid extra for a room with an ensuite so I wouldn't have to deal with things like this. In other areas of the rooms, cleanliness was OK.
Piped music kept me awake most of the night. For some bizarre reason, the hotel played a local radio station through their in-house system. This includes speakers outside on the street and in the corridors. The result was that a mix of soft rock and ads was clearly audible right through the night.
A/C in my room was noisey but it was the only way to drown out the noise of the radio.
- G.W.Frank (5/5): -
- Michael Bray (6/5): - Room was good. Bathrooms reasonably modern and clean. Love the food at this pub. The water pressure was abysmal in the evening and just passable in the morning. This pub accommodation is dear compared to others nearby.
- John (4/5): Discracful do not recommend this hotel anymore - Close to rail good food
Rooms basic bit clean bed comfortable Shower was a discrace, only a trickle came outof the shower and it was colsd 90% of the time. Hot water came through for a minit.
- Annette (8/5): -
- Michael (6/5): -
- Erin (1/5): - all of it not good
- Sachiv Raj (7/5): -
- Lindsay (7/5): Nice place to eat and sleep - Hotel is close to public transport in a quiet area of Sydney Lights in the bathroom on level 2 didn’t work. Pillows were too soft
- Tomáš (5/5): - Výhoda tohoto hotelu je poloha bezprostředně u stanice městských vlaků. Jinak zřejmě úroveň odpovídající dané cenové hladině v Sydney. Velmi nízký tlak vody ve sprše. Malé okno do pokoje.
- sullivan (2/5): would not do that again - Would have been fine for $50. Staff were very nice. Its a pub, about what you would expect from that. Ridiculously overpriced, no working aircon, beds were tragic. Bathroom was sketchy. we paid 300.
- Lang (6/5): -
- Jake (8/5): -
- Kellie (9/5): -
- Parry (2/5): Do not stay - Location is excellent. 30 mins walk to Olympic Park and across the road from frequent trains. Whilst the bed was comfortable the doona cover had large brown stains. Neither of the two bathrooms that I used had hand cleaning products. The single bedroom was hot and airless. The aircon took 2 or 3 hours to cool the room and had to be left on all night. The TV was approx 8 feet high on the top of a tall cabinet. The staff were polite but not helpful. There is no commune room and contrary to advertising there are no kitchen facities and no access to a microwave.
Although I had paid for 2 nights I went elsewhere after one. Anywhere else was preferable.
- Gai (8/5): - Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Bathroom needed a deep clean.
- Melanie (1/5): - The staff were nice and it was a close location to the train station The bed wasn't made properly, sheets were scrunched down the bottom of bed under the doona. The toilet was blocked. The bathrooms and toilets were not clean.
- Kaifang (8/5): Good location and good value hotel - Clean and very close to the train station No hair dryer
- Kirralee (6/5): -
- Brian (9/5): -
- Jaimie (7/5): - Good location One bed had what appeared to be blood stains on the sheets, There was rubbish left over from previous people.
- Tina (8/5): - Cigarette smoke from the street wafted up to our room on first floor.
- Amie (5/5): Just okay - Location was great The room had mould on the ceiling and the room smelt off.
Bathrooms were just okay
Tiny room but okay for the night
- Caitriona (10/5): -
- William A (10/5): I will stay again - My room was super clean which I really appreciate it in the shared bathroom and toilets were very clean every single day as I stayed for one week.
It was quiet and cozy

- Karen (9/5): Fantastic location for our concert and the beds were soooooooo comfy!! Loved it. - The location was perfect for our concert at the Accor Stadium. 30min walk there and back was fantastic, considering friends spent hours trying to get back to accommodation they had chosen elsewhere. We were tucked up in bed and rested for the next day. Super comfy beds too!! They kindly approved a late check out of 11am too. I think the staff were maybe under pressure, as all a little grumpy - we did not let it spoil our stay. So grateful for the comfy beds that nothing else mattered.
- Nicole (5/5): Good location - The location was great. Meals were very nice. Staff were friendly.
Linen was fresh and clean The room we stayed in hadn’t been cleaned properly.
The coffee mugs hadn’t been cleaned. The kettle was dirty. The sink and shower had white flakes in them and the shower was mouldy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in the mattress.
- Nathan (8/5): -
- David (5/5): -
- Jean-Pierre M (8/5): Comfortable bed, great location, good value for money. - Nice hotel with comfortable bed. Great location close to trains and walking distance to Bicentennial Park. Great value for money. Will stay again and recommend. Just one little flaw. Would have been handy if a teaspoon was included in the tea/coffee making facilities.
- Hayley (5/5): Great spot and the staff were all wonderful. I would probably not stay again due to price and value for money - Location and staff were both great Air conditioner in our room did not work and full speed on fan was minimal
- Andrew (7/5): Fit for my purpose - Very convenient location with good little restaurants and cafes nearby Would appreciate mattress protector cover on the bed vs just a sheet.
- MARY STEPHEN (9/5): - The staff The shower is either too cold or too hot
- Stewart (7/5): -
- Monica (5/5): -
- Donna (7/5): - Location, price. The room size was fantastic. The linen is good quality The window above room 15 door, lets the hallway light in the room. Needs to have curtains that attaches at top and bottom or paint/or contact on the window. You can feel the springs in the bed, but sleep was ok
- Christie (6/5): Check AC first! - Convenient location and easy free parking AC did not work. Too hot to sleep
- brook (9/5): Peaceful - Clean, cozy and comfortable Would like a microwave in the room.
- brook (9/5): -
- paralee (6/5): -
- Ho (8/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): - All good friendly staff and easy access to transport ie. train station.
- Michelle (7/5): Ok - Well located across road from Concord West train station east access to main arterial roads.
Staff friendly with bar access and food looked good at the hotel
Looked renovated so facilities reasonably updated It is a hotel and rooms directly above bar area so suggest ear muffs if wanting to bed down early. It had shared facilities which is ok but price a little high for type of room it is having said that it was the cheapest around at the time.
- Amir (1/5): - I like soft meters
- Bundybear5 (9/5): Convenient location to Olympic Park - Convenient to train station to access Olympic Park.
The availability of a room with an ensuite. No cutlery, crockery, or sink products in the kitchenette.
Bed wasn't comfortable

- SaaD (7/5): -
- Christie (3/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Trina (6/5): - Our room needed a new mattress.
Only had 1 coffee mug no spoon to stir coffee etc
- Sandy (10/5): - Bedding needs renewing, stained
- Clare (7/5): -
- chris (8/5): Great pub, great staff, handy spot. - Handy to everything. Noisy neighbours coming home late, just close the doors 🤫!
Not hard,I did it.
- Debra (9/5): Perfect venue to stay and travel to - Conveniently situated , right on the west Concord train line.
Cosy, old fashioned pub. Nothing
- Deborah (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Russell (7/5): -
- Iryna (4/5): - Unexpectedly! The bed like “jumping castle”! One cup for 2 people staying! One chair! In the shared bathroom the window half open and can not close ( WINTER, outside not more than +6).. The hotel too old for service people!
- Michael (8/5): - GOOD LOCATION VALUE FOR MONEY, SEPARATE 24 HOURS.ACCESS TO ROOMS
- Philippa (8/5): - Beds are comfortable
- Phoebe (8/5): -
- Magali (8/5): - The bathrooms were big and clean, including the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. Not only did they give us a towel, but a washcloth, a hand towel, and a bathroom mat. I wish they had soap dispensers in the toilets to wash our hands.
Also if you are a light sleeper, some rooms might not be the best fit as you'll hear the train pass by.
- McKinley (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Thanks guys - The friendly atmosphere & helping nature of the staff & the locals.
Thank for a awesome stay over with great company My heavy bags up them stairs lol.
- Anon (8/5): Very good - Location right near train station. Very friendly host. Spacious room with modern shared bathrooms. Great value for money. Food down stairs also very good. Great find.
- peter (9/5): Just great - Location atmosphere price Broken door latch on front door
- Steven (10/5): - I loved that it was close the the Hyrox competition venue and we could walk. It was clean, comfortable and staff were very helpful. No hesitation in recommending it
- Andy (8/5): - It was great!
- Ty (10/5): Excellent - For our group of 10, it was exceptional value and a great location for our weekend. Location, cost and the friendly staff and locals
- Shane (7/5): Good -
- Erica (6/5): Great if staying in warmer months, but would not stay here in winter again. - The location was great, a short uber ride to Qudos Bank Arena, cafes nearby for breakfast.
We had dinner onsite and the burgers were fantastic. There is no onsite parking so had to park at the train station.
Bathroom was not clean, there was hair and mould in the shower.
The main point that loses rating for this property was that there was no heating in the room. I had my 12 year old daughter with me and the room was freezing. We were travelling in winter and came home late from a concert so coming home to a cold room was awful. I requested a heater from the staff but they were unable to provide one.
