• Rezida (1/5): One of the worst accommodation experiences ever! - The service was overpriced and felt misleading. They displayed a discount on the Booking platform, offering a non-refundable option, but ended up charging us double. The price was listed as €15 instead of €30, yet I was charged a total of €35, €20 more than the advertised price! If they aren't able to provide rooms at that price, why list them on the platform? It was frustrating to hear them complain about Booking's taxes and fees while still choosing to use the service. Regarding luggage storage, most hostels typically allow guests to store their bags for free for at least 5 to 6 hours after check-out. However, the staff here were strict, claiming that after 2 to 3 hours, guests must collect their luggage. They also didn’t guarantee the safety of our bags at reception, especially with so many people coming and going. Does it mean they don't have a working security system? They required us to pay nearly €15 to €20 just to keep our luggage in a secure area. Ironically, we saw luggage storage facilities near metro stations charging a maximum of €5 to €6 for an entire day! (see price list in attached picture) This experience left a negative impression on us about Turkish hospitality culture, particularly toward women. As for the location, the walk from the metro station to this hostel felt super unsafe, especially at night. There were many strange men staring in an uncomfortable way.

The room we ordered was not available so for 1 night we had to stay in a different room (Without the Jacuzzy that we bwanted) because a woman had missed her flight and kept our room,with a water leak in the bathroom. Then as we tried to close the curtain, it fell on us. Then we were given our room (the one in the picture). The Jaccuzi was patched up and came with no hot water. Barely warm. The room was dirty, the bed very uncomfortable. The staff was nice but the facilities were disgusting.

I lost my money and had to pay extra for a other clean hotel - Nothing because we did not stay in the hotel because of health issues I regret to report an extremely distressing experience during my recent stay at Royal Suite Hotel under booking. Upon arrival, the room was found to be in an unsanitary and unsafe condition, including visible cockroaches and bed bugs. These conditions forced us to vacate the premises in the middle of the night, prioritizing our health and safety. Despite assurances from the night receptionist that a full refund would be issued, the hotel has since denied our stay to Booking.com, which is both untrue and unacceptable. The misrepresentation of facts and failure to address these grave issues reflect poorly on the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. The lack of sanitation and the unprofessional handling of this situation are serious concerns that any potential guest should be aware of. • Ionut (7/5): Good - Good internet, comfortable bed, fast hot water. For Free Parking i didn't expect 2 spaces on a sidewalk, in the end it was decent, but had us improvising. Another thing is the bathroom smell in the room, not so bad if you open the windows a little to have fresh air in, but not a good first impression.
• Karinny (1/5): Extremely disappointing - - The employees tried to be helpful - Breakfast is good - Our room was not available in the first night, so they offered a room with shared bathroom, which we didn’t accept. So we got another room, without any windows or wifi. In the second night we went to a better room. - Hygiene was a major issue. Bathroom was not clean and smelled quite bad. Bed sheets were not fresh and apparently not changed from previous guests. The floor was dirty since day 1 and never cleaned for the whole week we stayed in. - The location of the hotel is not super bad, since its near bus and train stations. But there is nothing to do or see around the area and I dont recommend for women traveling alone. - Breakfast is only served if you ask for it everyday. - Towels are only changed if you ask for it. - They only give you toilet paper and soap if you ask for it. We gave up on asking and just bought ours. - Thin walls and you can hear the guests in the other rooms. You can hear their music/ TV. If you book this hotel thinking its a maximum 3 or 4, you might be ok. But if you believe its a 7 or 8, you will be hardly disappointed.

• Alessia (1/5): Awful, not worth the money even for a night - Well, I do not believe there is anything I like about this place. People at the desk were trying to accommodate our needs with limited success. Hot showers are the only good things. Big TV screen with only Turkish programs There is a very poor WIFI connection and the place is noisy with people smoking in the reception and rooms. The room we booked was far from our expectations, very dated, it would need some major restoration. The wallpaper was peeled off in several places, the plastic panel around the bathtub was detached on both sides, and there were some stains. The water knobs were broken too. On the only shelves in the bathroom, there were still some soap pieces left there by the previous guest which posed some doubts on the general level of cleanliness. We were given another bedroom, but the following morning we found out that there was a terrible smell coming out from the toilet. Breakfast was served in the room. It was not possible to have an early breakfast, we agreed on 8 am, but they were often late. Turkish-style breakfast, so nothing sweet as shown in the pictures on the booking website, nor fresh fruits. Very poor service here too. We often had to ask for knives, spoons and napkins. The location is just on the skirt of the more tourist area, but outside can be pretty noisy too with kids playing football until late, and market on the street every day. Despite this being part of the Turkish culture, it makes the area not particularly cosy.

• Wilhelm (1/5): It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed! - Not much! The property's previous Google Maps name was The Royal Suits, but it has been renamed. This hotel has terrible reviews on Google Maps. Based on these reviews, I never should have booked it! The rooms are not similar to those shown in the pictures at Booking.com. They are small, dark ( some without windows in the basement), and dirty. There is nowhere to put your clothes ( cabinet) or suitcase. The bathroom is dirty, smelly, and wet after the shower. The breakfast is not bad, but you can have it in your room (there is no place to sit and enjoy it) or in the kitchen or laundry room. There is one table with five different old chairs around it. This place is only accessible by a steep, small ladder that can be reached halfway down the stairs to the basement. I have the feeling that I was scammed into booking this hotel, and this is partly by the information from booking.com It was not a nice experience to arrive at a hotel in a city with the same name as the hotel you had booked. Only your hotel is one km further away, not to find on google maps. It took me an hour walking around with two 15kg suitcases to find this place.

FAKE REVIEWS!!!, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SOMEBODY PUT GOOD REVIEW OR 10* FOR THIS PLACE !!! positive: lot of shops around the hotel and they open at night, lot of things in walk distance: bus,marmalay, hagia sophia, topkapi, bazaars we have to buy domestos,sponge,etc. and WE CLEAN EVERYTHING FOR OURSELVES… very DIRTY, DISGUSTING, they dont care of everything, broken things, the dust settled on everything, they just wash the floor and make the bed and thats it, the fridge is not working, one morning there is no water, netflix not working, cigarette smell, first we got a small room and we have to wait 2 hours for the deluxe suite, the lamp is not working, the water comes up at the bathroom when we used the jacuzzi and the water did not go down, cant use the air conditioner because is very noisy, we never get breakfast and they never told anything about it(we dont ask because we dont want to eat anything from them..), always we schould ask for new towels and etc, they never clean and never bring back our used towels, the boss cant speak english but I think its impossible in that city when you are an owner of a hotel…

• Brian (1/5): Health Hazard - Not as in pictures. Room had black mold on ceiling and walls. Shower head was broken [split] spraying water from handle grip and no way of holding on wall. Paint flaking of walls. The room hadn't been decorated in years. Smoke alarm was missing as it had been removed from the ceiling holder. Curtain for window was hanging by two curtain hooks on rail making the room look like a squat as well as not covering window. Picture on wall had been hung upside down for some reason. There was a faint smell of gas from the gas meter located by lift in the hallway. Room was not serviced, despite being told it would be by reception staff during the 10 day stay. no fresh towels provided even though was told they would be placed in my room when I handed the used ones in at reception after four days. Had to ask for new ones the next day again. Don't stay here unless your desperate. I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in many budget hotels, hostels, and I can honestly say this is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. If I had the money I would have had no hesitation in finding alternative accommodation. Be warned.

• Laura (1/5): I’ve been a loyal customer of booking.com for years. The fact that bookin.com refused to refund me ! - They offer a pick up from the airport to their hotel but they scam you. They claim they sent someone to get me at the airport then told me that I missed the ride and they can’t send another ride. Then they told me that I could pay 50 euros for them to send another ride. This is what happened to me. They abandoned me at the Istanbul Airport at night. They sent the ride way before my flight arrived. I know this because we were texting on WhatsApp and they told me when they sent my ride to the airport which was hours before my plane landed at the airport. I told them this but they kept saying I had to pay 50 euros now if I wanted an airport pick up. I told them to cancel my reservation over this and I never stayed there. I reported this to booking.com immediately and asked for a refund. Booking.com has refused to give me a refund. Don’t stay at this hotel if you’re booking this hotel because of the offer of an airport pick up. It’s a scam! I communicated directly with the hotel on WhatsApp to tell them of my flight arrival day and time. The hotel sent my airport pick up over one hour before my plane landed in Istanbul. ( so they said). I have no way to confirm if they did send a vehicle or not. But when I informed them that they sent the driver way too early to get me at the airport- their response was to tell me that I now had to pay them 59 euros for an airport pick up. I have the entire text conversation on my phone on WhatsApp. Despite this Hotel.com is refusing to refund my prepaid accommodation at this hotel. I never stayed at this hotel. The hotel representative was very rude and kept demanding that I pay 50 euros for the airport pick up even though I booked this hotel because they offered free airport pick up. I was at the Istanbul Airport with no ride into the city because I was counting on this airport pick up. I had to take the time to figure out another hotel to stay at and how to get there after my arrival at the airport. This was very frustrating as well as an extra expense and additional time spent at the airport.
