Was initially worried about a fully remote access property with no front desk but they had great communication and clear instructions for access and any amenities needed. The soaking tub was EVERYTHING! After a long day of walking around the city the soaking tub was the ucing on the cake. Perfect!

You could hear muffled conversations of other guests who were speaking in normal ways. Even with the white noise machine they provide it was still not a restful stay.

Lisa (10/5): - What a gem! I was nervous about the virtual front desk but it worked out wonderfully. They allowed me to check in early which was a blessing on a cold January day! The room was compact but well put together. Great to have a fridge, tea, microwave and sound machine. I was able to make the room nice and warm during the day and cool at night to sleep. Also - the sheets smelled wonderful. My only suggestion is to allow the shower water to get hotter. Five stars!!

However, they do offer a sound machine which was very nice, and came with a large selection of noises. Overall the room and hotel was clean and orderly. The hotel does not have a concierge so there is no need to interact with people if you don’t want to. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay.

There was a nice large window with about a twin size sofa for sitting sleeping in addition to the bed. We will definitely use Kasa again and will recommend to friends.

El precio económico para los estandares de Manhattan. La habitacion limpia y con buen espacio para 2 personas. Posee un kitchennette que aunque minusculo te sirve para armar un desayuno previo a tu salida de exploración a la ciudad. El sistema de self check in y self check out funciono de maravilla. El area no podia ser mejor, a 2 cuadras de estacion del metro y con varias opciones de bares y restaurantes. Lo unico que mejoraria es eliminar la tina de baño (tienen tina y ducha tambien), para hacer mas espacio al area del desayunador. No tienen limpieza diaria pero para nosotros no fue un issue, ya que no estuvimos mucho en la habitación y mantenerla limpia no fue difícil.

STCVerma (2/5): Paper thin walls, no cleaning unless you pay more, and poor service - Had a really poor experience staying at Kasa. I booked this hotel for a business trip. Based on their posted pictures, I was expecting rather a bigger room, at least when compared to other hotels in New York. The rooms turned out to be a tiny box with paper thin walls. Suffice to say, I was able to hear conversations from my neighbors and any music/TV that they were playing very clearly. I would say rather more clearly than anywhere else I have ever stayed. On top of this, their service was extremely poor and non-existent. I requested a change in my booking, they completely ignored coming back to me. When I requested to clean my room, they asked for additional cleaning charges. I would never stay at a hotel, where you need to pay charges for cleaning especially when you are staying there for 3+ nights.

anyag674 (4/5): Not so great - Not well taken care of. My room had a lot of problems. If anyone was paying attention, they never would have put a guest in it: Big crack in the window, bathroom door didn't work, shower floods the bathroom when used, smelled like a public toilet (smell of sewage wafting by as well as deodorizer used to cover it up). I was eventually moved to another room. It was not perfect but good enough. If I was never put in the bad room, I'd think this hotel was a good deal for the price. The bad room left me really dissatisfied. Dealing with customer service was poor quality. They said how much they cared but didn't act like it. I asked specially not to have more deodorizer added in my room (which they agreed to) because the smell was making me ill, but they did it anyway. End of the day, they finally told me to pack to move rooms. I was out and they said no rush. I contacted them upon return and they didn't respond for two hours. I ended up moving after midnight. It was exhausting. Other than that. It's a good deal for a convenient location. Neighborhood has a bit of a drug problem but is otherwise fine. No one bothered me and I knew what I was getting for the price. Top reason to book here is that it's hard to find a hotel with a fridge and microwave or kitchen. Those things worked and are important to me.

dalisayemilia (10/5): My home base whenever I visit NYC - I traveled alone for a business trip and stayed at the hotel's Studio King Room. The room had everything I needed for my stay, including a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and Nespresso machine. Despite the hotel's proximity to the main road, I didn't hear much noise. Earplugs were also provided, and they proved to be helpful (if you're a light sleeper like me). The nearest subway station was only two blocks away (Delancey), so commuting to midtown for my meetings took no more than 30 minutes. The area has many shops and excellent restaurants, and SoHo is just a ten-minute walk away. It's a great place to stay whenever I visit New York. My taxi driver gave me a useful tip: If you're staying in the Lower East Side, it's better to fly into Newark or La Guardia. It took me an hour to get to JFK because of the ongoing construction work.
M4288FEjuliec (10/5): Wanna gate keep, but I won’t - My bf and I sincerely enjoyed our stay at Kasa! The great location was phenomenal in LES (so close to double chicken please!!!) and unlike a lot of nyc hotels, there was plenty of room. The place was clean and I loved the Malin&Goetz products. As much as I want to gate keep this place, I highly recommend staying here. Only thing I would want is a little lower pillow option as both pillows were quite high.

Completely unmanned, "service" is by text or calling an external call center that knows absolutely nothing about the property gives wrong answers. Very complicated check-in: you get a door code 1 hour before check-in time. Want to leave bags in the lobby? Sorry, no staff! Need anything? Sorry, no staff! Talking to their call center is like calling HP about a printer problem: time-consuming & frustrating.
eeyorehoop (10/5): Overnight Pitstop Was Awesome - Checkin process was sooo easy. Instructions were sent ahead of time, very clear, and hassle free. The room was small, but offers everything you need when you’re just looking for a place to sleep. Very clean, elegant looking, quiet, and safe.

The location is amazing, right next to a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars, and very close to subway stops. I would definitely recommend. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. My only comment would be that I never received the pre check in email (possibly because I had booked the night before), so when I got to the hotel I had to call them to get access to the hotel and my room (there is no front desk). However, the person on the phone was very friendly and fast, and the process was super effective and fast. All of the instructions are clear and easy. Thank you for a great stay!

leighhP5817RC (2/5): Avoid. Still waiting on promised refund a year later. - Stayed in March 2020 and was forced to leave early due to Covid. I was promised a refund for the nights we didn’t use and have been fighting for over a year to get my money. They are just ignoring me now after numerous emails. I was assured once things reopened and their finance team went back to work this would be processed but now my emails are ignored and I’ve lost a lot of money. Don’t stay somewhere like this and use a more reputable hotel.

On a nice quiet street but the most amazing thing about this place is the customer service. Rasya and Matthew (front desk) were warm and inviting and really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Because of them we will be back and tell all our friends and family about this amazing boutique hotel.
SunriseSojourn (10/5): "My own place on the LES" - I always wondered what it would be like to live on the LES of NYC. Staying at the Sago Hotel gave me that experience. The Sago is a very clean, comfortable, and relaxed hotel that allowed me to have both privacy and a sense of security, knowing that I was well-taken care of. The location is excellent for those who love downtown -- convenient to transportation, restaurants, galleries, and a short walk into the heart of LES, Soho and Nolita. My guests opted to meet me at my "apartment" and order dinner in because my space at the Sago was so inviting. But when I wanted to go out, everything from breakfast cafes to late-night bars were within easy walking distance. Plus I had wonderful sunset views looking west toward the Hudson!
Aefetch4 (10/5): Great for solo business traveler - I arrived at the Sago Hotel after an unexpectedly long day of travel. I was in town for business Tuesday-Thursday and had to reschedule my Tuesday meetings so I was a bit stressed and weary after landing at JFK. When I arrived to Sago I was greeted by Matthew at the door who took my carry-on up the small flight of stairs to the front desk. When he asked how my flight was I told him a bit difficult, but what can you do about the weather! He was very sympathetic to the weary traveler. He took my credit card and ID to the back office as I waited in the quaint and cozy lobby area. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was once I was inside. I couldn’t hear any of the rush hour hustle and bustle of NYC. When Matthew returned moments later, he gave me news I couldn’t believe: Sago upgraded my room to a suite complimentary. It was the most genuine moment and I could’ve cried tears of joy, especially seeing the soaking tub when I got to the room! Throughout my two night stay, Matthew and the other woman (I’m sorry I can’t recall your name!) were so helpful and kind. I can’t wait to return to Sago for both business and personal travel. This is a gem of a boutique hotel. Also, two of the best nights sleep ever. Most comfortable bed. Thank you, Sago and the wonderful staff!
Stephen142 (10/5): Great spot on LES! - This is a terrific little boutique hotel in a great location on the lower Eastside. Our room was well thought out in its layout, comfortable, and very beautifully, minimally designed. The location in terms of restaurants and things that you can walk to couldn’t be better. The lobby is tiny, with the smallest front desk you could possibly imagine, but the staff was very helpful with whatever we needed. Our king bed was really comfortable and our room, overlooking Orchard Street, was remarkably quiet. We also had a tiny kitchenette, which was helpful a couple of times during our stay. The subway is just a block away, and it’s always easy to get cabs or Ubers out front. I look forward to staying at the Sago again.
