- Christa (6/5): - A bit shabby. You can see that attempts have been made to renovate, but the windows were fogged up and we didn't dare turn off the air conditioning.
- Christiaan (2/5): - Booked a room for 5 via Expedia. Upon arrival, we only received a room for 4 and was charged extra for the 5th person, even though the quoted price was for 5. This place is poorly managed and there is miscommunication between it and Expedia. Suggest you avoid booking here.
- Mohammad (4/5): - My cabin was not clean. Bed sheets were not changed , full of hairs of previous guest! First night, it was not possible to close window and heating was not active. And pipe water smell very bad. But the location of property beside lake was great.

- Eric (6/5): - We were expecting the room to be a little more cozier. The lighting was not good and there was no bath plug to take a bath. It was pretty rustic and had a nice view, just not from the motel room. We at least got to enjoy the canoe for free but the motel is too close to the main road. It would have been nicer if it were deeper in the woods. Still had a great time and conveniently close to 2 provincial parks where we an fish and hike.

- Lisa (10/5): French River visit - Great restaurant, food was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and offered great suggestions for things to do. Shout out to Louiseđ¤. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. The window could use a cleaning to improve the beautiful view of the French River however this did not offend us. Nice dock for fishing and plenty kayaks/canoes. Public beach only 5 minutes away was great for swimming. We had a very nice time at this resort. Would visit again.

- Donna (4/5): - This place basically served the purpose of somewhere to sleep for the night but there were minor issues. The wifi and the tv did not work. There was no hot water. A used face cloth was left in the bathtub from a previous guest. We found a set of headphones from a previous guest which alerted us to the lack of cleaning under the bed.

- Soumya (10/5): Beautiful place - We came on a day when the on property restaurant is closed (Sunday and Monday). The owner was very prompt and sent us details for self check in. We had a big room with two queen beds. Very comfortable beds and linens. We had access to the river and their canoes and kayaks. The owner went above and beyond in helping us out with an item that we forgot in room after checkout. They are a blessed and a kind soul.

Located right on the French river, beautiful scenery, great fishing and a stargazing haven! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to escape the hustle and bustle, noise and light pollution of the cityâŚyou will leave feeling recharged and at peace đ

- marika (4/5): - Check in is in the bar next door. No signs. Lots of smokers hanging out in front of the door. Stained sheets, dirty fridge, no toilet paper dispenser. Water was hard and smelled of sulphur, didn't seem drinkable. Beds comfy and big TV if you don't care about the other stuff.
- Satyam (8/5): - We only stayed a day, but we loved the lake and the amenities a this resort. Friendly staff, and easy to access what we needed. Only problem we found is that it wasn't that clean in the unit. They need a stronger vacuum. We also found used ear plugs under the bed, and used tissues. But other than this, it was a great stay.
- Sara (10/5): - Although we arrived to a room that hadn't been cleaned, we got in touch with the property who immediately apologized and upgraded us to a better unit - a cute cabin right on the water. The cabin was cozy and inviting and comfortable and felt like a true cottage. The beds and pillows were excellent and the stocked kitchen and porch were an unexpected treat. The restaurant was closed, unfortunately but the kitchen in the cabin allowed us to cook our own food easily. The television couldn't connect to the internet or local tv, and the wifi wasn't exceptional so it's better if you want to be a bit more off-grid here and enjoy the outdoors. We loved being able to take kayaks onto the water for no added charge. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

- Dennis (8/5): - The property is on the water - there's a dock from which you can swim - so that was nice. there are conoes and kayaks that you can use. the room itself was clean and newly renovated - nice big window looking out to the water. The mini-fidge was new but had no freezer, so you can't refreeze ice-packs. The coffee maker was tiny and not very good, which is important because the restaurant is not open till 11am - so no breakfast/coffee is available, and nothing close by. The restaurant itself was quite poor in terms of food quality, but the staff were nice and friendly.

- Tara (6/5): Really bad A/C. - The room was pretty good. Obviously has been "renovated" to bring up to date. Windows were very dirty and could hardly see out them. Fridge was dirty, but the rest of the room was pretty good. Absolute worse part was the window A/C that did not work and made horrible noises when trying to use. There was one very small window that could open, but that's it. Was not a very good night sleep because of this.

- Maryia (8/5): - The place is nice but we did not like the way it is operated. The reception is inside the restaurant and closed Sunday and Monday. And even when it opens nobody is in there. We had to look for someone and to wait to check in and to check out. During the check out they charged us a little more than the price was booked through the hotels.com. I would recommend to pay through the website to avoid overcharging. The room was clean, but window ac was very lound and the water had a bad smell. The location is nice, beautiful nature.
- Brigitte (4/5): - The inside of the rooms were renovated not too long ago, but it just looked neglected: damaged paint, old chipped bed side table, windows not cleaned, etc. I would give the rooms one star. They were spacious, however, and more or less clean looking. The outside area with the dock was nice. You can just put your kayaks in and paddle Rogers Bay of French River. They also have simple kayaks to borrow. I probably won't be back, but I could see people who are less concerned about the rooms use it for its location.

The âDeluxeâ room could be presented better and needs some maintenance (i.e. - caulk around the tub, walls should be cleaned, etc.). Also found it odd that there wasnât a deadbolt and no peephole on the entry door.
