- Kristin (10/5): Perfect central spot for your Florence Adventure. - Firenze al Duomo was a perfect central base to explore. Situated next to the Duomo, you could easily walk to all the main highlights the city has to offer and it certainly made it easy to find your way home. Andrea was an awesome host. I was a solo traveler for this portion of my trip and he was a constant wealth of ideas of restaurants, where to find the wine windows and other hot spots to explore. The room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

- Gregory (2/5): Strong mildew smell; not a place I would stay at again - Great location; 1 minute walk to entrance of the Duomo entrance. Staff met us when we arrived and tried to worked with us to change rooms due to heavy mildew smell in original room. The room we reserved had a very heavy mildew smell, very unpleasant. Staff did offer us a different room, which we took. The room was large and had a built-in glass enclosure bathroom. Top was open and provided no sound privacy when being used for others in the room, plus there was water damage. paint bubbling, at the base of the glass enclosure. By the evening, the smell of mildew became strong in our room. We informed the host that we would not be staying another night. He did offer us a differnt room, but we declined. Was so congested from mildew smell we needed to find other accomodations. We asked for a refund of the night we did not stay and eventually was informed we would not get one due to turning down a different room. Also did not like the breakfast arrangement. The B&B arranged for a local cafe with service starting at 0830 and concluding at 1030. By 0830, we were touring the city and cathedral. Breakfast hours are very inconvenient as the conflict with site seeing. Overall, an extremely disappointing stay.

The room was clean and we had zero problems. My girlfriend loved the face masks that we were allowed to use, this added a super nice touch. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff went above and beyond on every detail, including the breakfast servers. Sunshine is such a wonderful waitress, we loved her so much! Proximity to everything was a HUG bonus. The windows weren't as insulated from the noise, but we're not complaining as much since our view is literally of the Duomo itself.

It was a special accommodation for us. My 13 year-old-niece was very happy to stay here because the room was special and beautiful like a fairly tail. She seemed to become like a princess. Firenze al Duomo had beautiful paintings on the ceiling, spacious bedroom & spacious bathroom. Firenze al Duomo was located next to Florence Cathedral so we could always see Florence Cathedral anytime we like. Firenze al Duomo was located very convenient place for sightseeing. It was active area in front of Florence Cathedral. But surprisingly when we shut the large window of the room, the room became so quiet because of the thick soundproof window. We could relax and sleep well. Firenze al Duomo had high & solid security at the entrance & front door. Firenze al Duomo was like a private residence for us. After returning to my country Japan, we realized how blessed & lucky we were to be able to stay at the special hotel, Firenze al Duomo. Firenze al Duomo provided us beautiful breakfast at Caffè del Teatro Niccolini too. After experiencing this hotel, normal hotels we stayed at looked nothing. Furthermore, our host Mr Andrea was very kind and gentle. He was always doing his best to make us feel comfortable to stay. He explained us carefully everything about how to use the room, where to have breakfast, where is the good place for sightseeing. It was a new year day so it was very hard for us to catch a taxi to the station, but Mr Andrea kindly arranged the taxi for us. It was very big help for us & I appreciate his effort from the bottom of my heart! His existence makes us relieved as if we got a local friend in Florence Thank you very much for making our stay in Florence special, Firenze al Duomo & Mr Andrea. I miss Florence, Firenze al Duomo & Mr Andrea!! No complain at all. Everything was perfect.

The kindness and attentiveness displayed by him made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are filled with beautiful motifs that make you realize you’re staying in a place with history. The beds are comfortable, it was a much needed change of pace considering how fast our trip has been. I can’t wait to one day return to Florence to stay here again. The room is clean, the premises is quiet, and the location is absolutely perfect. 10/10!!! Nothing - it’s a perfect place.

Sin duda una de las cosas mejores, fue la atención de Andrea, siempre muy correcto y dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento. El pricipal problema es el aparcamiento si se va en coche particular. Tienen convenio con un parking, pero no deja de ser complicado, ya que la zona peatonal de Florencia es muy amplia.
- Lynn (10/5): A magical stay in Florence - This place is simply quite perfect and if you don’t mind stepping out into the queueing crowds for the Duomo it really is in the best position to explore all of Florence. Everything is in within walking distance. There are some fab little restaurants just north of the accommodation and whilst you think being right next to the Duomo would be noisy, the actual room is incredibly soundproof and quiet and tranquil. We stayed in the arts room which was incredibly beautiful with its own private Terrace. It was clean and immaculate, and discreetly cleaned and made up for us every day - we even had a thoughtful gift left for us as it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Andrea was incredibly welcoming and was later available at the end of a text if we needed anything. He was particularly helpful in sorting out our takeaway breakfast the following morning so we could join a queue early!! We’ve had a wonderful time and hope that one day we will be back again. I couldn’t fault it!

Andrea who manages the property was incredibly attentive, communicative, kind and knowledgeable about the area and the beautiful rooms and building you will stay in. The rooms themselves are truly pieces of art taken right out of a Tuscan fairytale. Breakfast was delicious and served by kind individuals right next door. Nothing beat walking amongst the crowded streets of the Duomo only to enter a quaint doorway to the side amongst other shops to your room overlooking the Duomo itself. We traveled for 2 weeks across Italy, staying in some 'notable' hotels, but, the Firenze al Duomo takes the cake amongst all the stays we had from Southern Capri to Northern Venice. Do yourself a favor and book this location, you will not be disappointed.

We checked out early, and the hotel manager kindly provided us with a brealfast the night before. The breakfast could be better.

He suggested restaurants, texted us train schedules, answered our questions throughout the day. I loved booking restaurants for dinner and they were all a short walk away- Regina Bistecca being our favorite! The air conditioning struggled to keep us cool in the heat.

The bathroom was clean and modern. We had a room at the back with a private terrace in a courtyard. I overheard another guest complain that they wanted to face the duomo and were upset that their patio was in a shared courtyard. Facing the Duomo will be noisy. We loved our quiet clean room with a private patio where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning. I would stay here again in a heart beat. When you are booking your room make sure you know what makes you happy. The check in and check out were seamless. Great communication from the staff. The staff really wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. Thanks to all the staff.

We had a little terrace (although a bit rainy at times so we didn't use it as much as we would have liked). The room is glorious with original (refreshed) frescos on the ceiling. There are only 5 bedrooms in this B&B, with a couple of common spaces. It is all beautifully appointed. You get a voucher to have a delicious breakfast every morning at a nearby cafe. Andrea was a marvellous host! He was so attentive and extremely responsive. He organised a taxi to the train station when we left, and walked with us and our luggage to where we picked up the taxi, ensuring everything went smoothly. His service was outstanding. The room was breathtakingly beautiful, clean and spacious. Andrea is super responsive and answers any questions you may have immediately. He gave us a detailed tour of the accommodations so we knew exactly where everything was. On top of that, he gave us so many great recs around Florence. - Adam (10/5): Lovely, friendly B&B with excellent location. - A beautifully finished, small B&B right next to the Duomo. Lovely details in the restoration of this old property amidst all needed modern conveniences. The manager was very helpful before, during and after our stay, so although there was not always someone there, he always replied very quickly via WhatsApp. The breakfast at a cafe next door was very good. The vestibule light inside the bedroom was on a timer switch - wouldn’t stay on if you wanted it on, and then come on brightly in the middle of the night as you walked into the bathroom. Annoying!
- Iqbal (10/5): Perfect location in the centre - We were warmly welcomed by Andrea. He gave explicit information on the hotel. The latter has only 5 rooms, some with view on the Duomo Cathedral and larger floor area. Breakfast was served outside in a nearby restaurant. Plenty of food. Location was perfect opposite the Duomo cathedral. It is right in the centre. All amenities and train station are within walking distance. There were only 3 choices of breakfast, though enough in each. More varieties would be preferable.
- Erik (10/5): Feels like you can touch the Duomo from your room - The service was exceptional from days before arrival through after the departure. The staff arranged parking and transportation to the hotel, as well as an early morning pickup the day we departed. The room was exceptional, the fresco on the ceiling sublime, opening the window and having the Duomo so close, it literally felt like you should be about to touch it. Because we had an early morning departure, the staff provided the ability to access the breakfast items the evening before so that we were able to eat before departing and without the additional expense. There was nothing that I would call out as bad or undesirable.
- Alejandro (1/5): Never again - Due to the floods in Valencia we had to leave for our family. They didn't even make the attempt to give us back the lost nights. They didn't have to, but education and empathy must always be fundamental. Money is not everything. I have been to Florence more than ten times and it has been the worst place I have ever stayed.
