It was good to ask questions because there was a reception on the first floor, and it was good to have a warm tea and coffee refreshments. The hotel was neat and spacious, and it was a perfect venue for two to relax. It is located in Karakoyi, so it is good to look around nearby and there is a famous mackerel kebab restaurant nearby too :)

Traditional Turkish style breakfast energize for entire day to walk around Istanbul. Sea view room well worth each penny, Sea, birds, ancient mosques .

Light breakfast was served even though we didn’t book anything. The location is close to a lot of seafood restaurants which are highly recommended. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone travelling to Istanbul the first time.

Anna welcomed me with such warm kindness and simply said, “Just 20 minutes.” Honestly, that was the nicest “20-minute wait” I’ve ever had. While waiting, she even recommended nearby restaurants and explained a few things about traditional Turkish hamams — almost like getting a mini local tour before I even got my room. Soon after, I was given a beautiful high-floor room with an amazing view, and my third day in Türkiye began more smoothly than I could’ve hoped for. Thank you, Anna, for turning a simple early check-in request into such a lovely start to my day. Highly recommended!

• A1040MJlindaf (10/5): Perfect location near all transport hub. - The hotel’s location is very convenient, right next to major transport hubs such as the bus, tram, and cable car stations. This made it easy for us to get to Istiklal Street in Istanbul or visit the historical sites in the old town. The hotel also offered trip bookings for recommended attractions. What we loved the most was their restaurant recommendation—we ended up eating there four out of our five days! It truly became our favorite and the most delicious place during the trip. Although it can be a little noisy because of its proximity to the main street, it didn’t affect our experience, and we would definitely consider staying here again next time.

• Luiz (8/5): - Great views (if you select the junior suites with view) at reasonable price however this is a boutique hotel meaning there's no common area like balcony or separate space to sit or lounge and no breakfast. Hotel has two separate buildings, the rooms with the views will be at the adjacent building which is a side entrance at an alley, you will have to climb up one floor of stairs (tight and inconvenient) to get to a small elevator which can take you to your floor. The staff were very friendly though. I think they advertised it as soundproof room but I could still hear much of the busy city despite being in the 7th floor with the soundproof windows. I only recommend staying here if you select the annex junior suite (sea view) which made up for the incovenience otherwise it's not worth it.
• NATALIA (10/5): - Since we arrived at the hotel they made us feel welcome. The room is spacious. A lot of light and clean. The staff explained and suggest restaurants around. The hotel is 5 minutes walking to the tram which takes you to all the mosque and all the tourist places and Also de funicular that takes you to İstiklal avenue. The metro and the ferry ( Asia to Europe) also is 8 minutes walking. The hotel offers shuttle to the airport 45Eur. I will definitely come back to the hotel in the future.
• Shing Hei (8/5): - 房間的海景如官方照片一樣, 能俯瞰舊幫城區與金角灣的風光，有得很大的枱面空間和有晾掛方衣服的地方，衣服能曬太陽。洗手間的門有些難關；整潔度尚可,沒有異味；床鋪的皮料摸起來舒服, 但略嫌打掃得不夠乾淨，找到兩粒疑似蟲蟲的東東, 噴了殺蟎噴霧後沒發現更多。從電車站去酒店的路有些難行，走的時候用了酒店的租車服務, 建議使用酒店的租車服務，車輛準時寬敞舒適, 只用了40分鐘就能到達機場

Service felt very personal, and rooms were exactly as advertised. Great connections to the metro and walkable to everywhere.

They gave us great suggestions, and were lovely to talk to about life in Istanbul generally. Our one issue was that the street noise was pretty noticeable throughout the night. Otherwise, the room was nice and comfortable. And the view was incredible! We would stay here again if we return to Istanbul

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Karaköy, making it easy to explore Istanbul by foot or public transport. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and the peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. Housekeeping did a great job daily, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth and quick. I truly felt at home here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I’ll definitely be back!

Services are good. The location of hotel is also good and accessible to key locations and metro. However, it is in a busy area and it means it gets pretty noisy given that the street never sleeps. I think windows of the rooms could be sound proof to provide much better comfortable experience for guests.

• Arielle (10/5): - Our stay at the Union Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Kasim (night staff) and Anna (day staff) were friendly and helpful. Anna even gave us free magnets as a farewell gift. Convenient Location & Amenities The hotel's central location made exploring easy, with trams and bus stops nearby. We appreciated the free water, simple breakfast (coffee/tea and Turkish bagel), slippers, and iron/ironing board (provided upon request). The water pressure in the shower was also good. Minor Issues We had an issue with the shower drainage, but it was fixed promptly. We also noticed the bathroom doorknob was loose and would fall off, but it didn't bother us enough to mention it. Solid Choice Overall, the Union Hotel is a solid choice for a convenient and comfortable stay. While not perfect, the staff were friendly, and the amenities were sufficient for our needs.

• ssdd12345 (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had such a great time at the Union Hotel. The building is really well located next to the ferry and bus and key tourist sites. While the street can get a bit noisy at times, we loved the view we got from our clean room. Most of all, the staff was super friendly and kind. We loved Ana’s recommendations from organizing shows in the city to giving us the best restaurant suggestions and also interacting with the kind gentleman from Kashmir. We would definitely return to the hotel and recommend others looking for an affordable option in the city to live here :)

The hotel was located in a walking distance of tourist attractions like taksim, galata tower, metro and istiklal street. The near by cafes and restaurent is a plus point too to stay in this hotel.
