- Sarah (10/5): - Das Zimmer war super schön eingerichtet, sehr geräumig und sauber! Generell ist das gesamte Hotel sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und vereint Moderne mit bayrischem Charme. Wir waren durchweg begeistert und haben am Hotel nichts zu beanstanden. Das Einzige etwas negative ist, dass das angrenzende Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist und man hier spontan keinen Tisch bekommt. Wir haben dann auch erfahren, dass das Restaurant nicht zum Hotel gehört. Das Ganze war aber nicht weiter schlimm, denn über Wolt & Co. kann auch einfach Essen bestellt werden und das Hotel hat eine kleine Bar mit Selfservice.
- Katherina (8/5): - Da seit April 2025 der Betreiber des Restaurants gewechselt hat und somit das Hotel „separat“ von der Gastronomie geführt wird hat sich eines merklich verändert und das meiner Meinung nach nicht zum positiven: das Frühstück. Zwar nach wie vor qualitativ völlig okay aber viel weniger als zuvor. Also das hat uns schon etwas enttäuscht! Auch die 10€ für den Parkplatz draußen auf ner Wiese (super Matschig bei Regen!) pro Nacht fand ich etwas drüber. Aber alles in allem eine Unterkunft die durch freundliches Personal hervorsticht und zu empfehlen ist!

- David (10/5): Excellent - Excellent hotel. Grounds are beautiful with green areas and a stream running right through. Room was large and comfortable. Quiet, well kept, and an excellent choice on the west of Munich.
- Sebastian (6/5): - Nettes Hotel, sauberes Zimmer, praktische Lage. Hotel und angrenzendes Restaurant werden mittlerweile getrennt voneinander betrieben, was die Gäste deutlich zu spüren bekommen… Reservierungen vom Hotel aus werden nicht vorgenommen, sondern man sollte es doch über die Website machen. Der Service und der Aufbau beim Frühstück ist eine Katastrophe - das Personal ist überfordert und man musste ständig nachfragen, weil kein Kaffee mehr verfügbar war, beim O-Saft kam die Lieferung vom Lieferanten nicht etc. Alle Gäste waren ziemlich enttäuscht, weil es früher wohl wirklich viel besser war

M'ont conseillé de trouver une autre solution sur google. Chambre spacieuse avec mezzanine, petit déjeuner ok sans plus. Je ne reviendrai pas. Isolated place - restaurant was closed during my stay. When I asked for a solution, answer was 'look on google' ! Won't come back.

Das Einchecken war ziemlich chaotisch, die MA waren aber sehr freundlich und sichtlich bemüht. Das Frühstück war so lala, die Frühstückszeit wurde zweimal geändert/verkürzt Das Restaurant war geschlossen, das erfuhren wir erst bei der Ankunft. Insgesamt waren wahrscheinlich einige der Herausforderungen auf einen Pächterwechsel zurückzuführen. Im Sommer gibt es einen schönen, großen Biergarten. Die Lage fanden wir super, ist natürlich etwas außerhalb. 15 Minuten zu Fuß zur S-Bahn und dann nochmal 15 Minuten in die City. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bewerten wir insgesamt als sehr gut

Frühstücksauswahl ist nicht riesig man wird aber durchaus satt. Die Preise fürs Abendessen waren mir als allein reisende Person aber definitiv zu hoch - ist aber nur meine persönliche Meinung

- Ronald (10/5): - My wife and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The staff and patrons staying there were great to talk with. They helped us with finding additional things to go see and do. We would definitely go back and stay again. Food and service was great!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mittelmäßig - Beim Check-in und Check-out gab es Wartezeiten, weil das Personal telefonierte, bzw. anderweitig beschäftigt war. Das gebuchte Zimmer war leider nicht sauber. Altes Sandwich im Kühlschrank, Spülmaschine mit Schimmelspuren, Aschenbecher nicht geleert und der Fußboden im Bad nicht richtig gereinigt. Das Ersatzzimmer war etwas sauberer, aber nicht wirklich vergleichbar mit dem gebuchten Zimmer. Das Bett war sehr klein und stand an der Wand, sodass eine Person vom Fußende hinein krabbeln musste. Die Toilette im Bad fiel zu einer Seite ab und der Türstock der Eingangstür in der Nähe der Dusche war durch Feuchtigkeit beschädigt. Eine Entschuldigung gab es nicht wirklich. Das Frühstück war okay. Das Hotel ist an einer viel befahrenen Straße.

- David (6/5): - It’s very expensive menu, and with limited options available to new visitor it makes it hard. If you wish to use the kitchenette in your room, it costs to have it turned on. There’s no coffee or tea in the rooms, you have to pay for them. Beer garden next door not opened at all as per opening times. Very cluttered in beer garden grounds. The soup was good, the breakfast was lukewarm to just above cold. Close to trains and buses. I wouldn’t recommend staying there
- Gerhard Karl (10/5): - Sehr schönes und hochwertiges Hotel zum fairen Preis. Leider ohne Aufzug der sich beim Umbau von einer Mühle zu einem Hotel wohl nicht realisieren ließ.

So check in was a bit rocky. My only complaint is… we paid extra for a superior room with a kitchen but, we have to pay to use the kitchen.

Una volta arrivata una signora, dopo quasi 1 ora, mi ha dato una stanza già occupata per poi sostituirmela. La pulizia non è il massimo. L’hotel è ben posizionato, a 10 min a piedi dalla fermata della S2. Il ristorante ha un’area all’aperto molto bella con annesso un ruscello ed un piccolo laghetto.

Das Hotel ist einfach fantastisch aber beim Frühstücken oder Abendessen reden die Gäste genau über diese Person am Empfang…. Der Empfang repräsentiert das gesamt Hotel . Die Junge Dame abends ist da das genaue Gegenteil. In dieses Münchener Hotel mit Charme, gehöre freundliche Menschen …. Am besten in Dirndl oder Lederhosen die ihre Gäste offen und Ehrlich ihre Gäste empfangen . Bitte Bitte ändert hier eure Einstellung …..

- Ana (6/5): - We booked this hotel and expected a calm and quiet night given its location. However, what we got was exactly the opposite. There was a wedding happening at the hotel with loud music until after 1:30am and we were not informed at all. To make it worse, we were given a room in the 1st floor just above the tent where the wedding was happening. At check-in the staff didn't inform us and when we got back to the room the reception was already closed. The hotel was nice and rustic, the breakfast was really good. The location has bus really near by, but not a lot of things around. It could have been a great stay if it wasn't for the noise. At check-out, when I complained about it I was told to claim it to Expedia because the hotel couldn't do anything for me except offering me a coffee.. I could recommend it but first call them and ask if weddings are planned, otherwise you won't get any proper sleep
- Natalie (8/5): - A modern, yet cozy hotel in charming surroundings. We enjoyed being able to walk to the train station and take the S-Bahn to the Marienplatz for a day. Breakfasts each morning were a delectable feast! We had an issue with the plumbing in our bathroom, but the hotel management did their best to fix it and gave us a small credit due to the inconvenience. We would definitely stay again!

- Lucie (10/5): - Das Hotel hat uns sehr gefallen. Es war einfach zu finden und liegt Nahe der Autobahn. Die Umgebung war großartig. Es war sehr angenehm ruhig, auch der Fluss und die Natur hatte etwas sehr charmantes. Die Zimmer sind in einem top Zustand und waren größer als erwartet. Es gab eine angemessene Auswahl zum Frühstück. Alles in allem kann ich das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

- lesleyd (6/5): Could be better. - The unfriendliness of the male receptionist has impacted the score of this hotel. He found it difficult to drag his eyes from his phone and clearly had a very high opinion of himself. Other members of staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The gardens need care, rather tatty. There had been a function at least a day before we arrived, tables were still left with cloths on three days later … even after heavy rain. The vases of dead flowers on these soaking wet cloths and the wet cushions on the chairs made the area look unkempt. More attention to detail needed.
- Rikke Sångren (2/5): Frygtelig støj, varmt værelse og dårlig seng - Vi havde booket tre overnatninger og der var fest i haven alle tre dage fredag, lørdag og søndag fra om eftermiddagen til ml. 23-01 Musikken og bassen var så høj at hvis vinduet var åbent kunne vi ikke høre lydbog!!! Der er også konstant støj fra vandmøllen, men siden den er konstant kan man vænne sig til den selvom den er dejlig at slippe for efter tre dage. Slet ikke okay at leje værelser ud hvor der i tre dage ikke er ro. Samtidig var det varmt i værelset, så vinduet var nødvendigt at åbne. Sengen var dårlig. Det var somom man lå direkte på en skumgummi madres uden topmadres. Personalet var søde og stedet lå godt for byen, men det opvejer desværre i dette tilfælde ikke vores ringe oplevelse.

- Marcel (10/5): - Ich habe die Unterkunft für 1 Nacht zur Fussball EM gebucht. Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen, aber dafür sehr idylisch und sehr freundliches Personal. Der eigene Biergarten ist optimal, um nach Feierabend zu entspannen.

- Rainer (6/5): Ein sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit einigen Mängeln - Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einigen Mängeln. Wir hatten in der Dachschräge ein DZ (Nr. 202), welches man höchstens als EZ vermieten sollte. Des Weiteren schließt das Restaurant um 22.00 Uhr, bis 22.30 Uhr konnte man sitzen bleiben, dann musste man dieses auch als Hotelgast verlassen. Ein Wechsel in die schöne Hotelbar war nicht möglich, da diese geschlossen blieb. Da unser Fernseher leider nicht funktionierte, war der Abend gelaufen, da man außerhalb von anderen Angeboten lag. Der Fernseher wurde gleich am Tag drauf wieder startklar gemacht. Sehr schnell reagiert! Der Frühstücksraum ist bei Vollauslastung des Hotels zu klein. So kam es zu Wartezeiten von bis zu 20 Minuten. Leider standen auch Reinigungswagen und ein offener voller Müllsack bis zum nächsten morgen auf dem Zimmergang. Nachdem es angesprochen wurde, wurde auch hier umgehend darauf reagiert und dieser wo anders untergebracht.
- agnes (8/5): Three night stay in Munich. - Room is rustic. Bed comfortable. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Breakfast very good. Hotel is quiet and away from the city. Transit is very convenient. Garden around the hotel is very tranquil.
- John (8/5): - A unique older style German building, on a river with lovely gardens, including a beer garden. A 15 min easy flat walk to the nearest rail station at Untermenzing. A very good breakfast selection, and a restaurant for dinner if required. Overall a very comfortable stay.

- Christopher (4/5): Lovely Hotel, shame no hot water during stay - Lovely place to stay, apartment we were allocated was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our only criticism is that when we stayed there our room had no hot running water and the bathroom had a terrible smell coming from the toilet or drains. When we reported the hot water and smell issue unfortunately management did not offer any form of discount or compensation for the inconvenience caused which was extremely disappointing hence why I gave the property low star ratings on some areas. Staff were lovely, management severely let us down with the hot water and smell issue. No resolution was given, only an apology

- JoAnne (10/5): Wish I could give it 6 stars! Highly recommend1 - We absolutely loved our stay at Insel Muhle and it will be a sure stop when we visit Munich again. At check in, the young lady could not have been kinder or more helpful. Our room was absolutely beautiful and so clean. Full kitchen (which we did not use) had every appliance including a dishwasher, beautiful bathroom, comfortable area for lounging. Not the most comfortable beds overall, but suitable. We did not even leave the hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the atmosphere at the backyard beer garden. The food was tasty, the beer was plentiful and even the ice cream and pretzels were delicious. Easy for non-German speakers to navigate. People were always willing to help. A memorable evening for our family. Breakfast the next day was plentiful (contrary to other reviews) and delicious. We were very pleased. One of the most reasonably priced hotels we stayed at during our trip to Germany and, by far, our favourite and one we hope to return to again. Thank you Insel Muhle for making our vacation so memorable. (If there must be a negative, it is the awkward entrance to the hotel, off a busy street, that takes some precision driving, patience and a GPS. Also, parking spaces near the entrance fill up very quickly).
