- Robert (4/5): - This property has went down hill. I stayed here multiple times the last few years. Be aware daily housekeeping is not a thing despite there not being a policy for it on Expedia. I asked for clean towels regardless since we didn't get a clean till day 3 and was told that's €7?! I reconfirmed he meant €7 for towels and yes he did. Hardly luxury, even a basic hotel would do this. This was not the case a few years ago. The room we had was so noisy too be aware if you're at the front of the property. We won't be returning and I'll no longer be recommending this property to my clients and friends.

- Patricia (10/5): - This was a wonderful hotel, centrally located, with a welcoming staff that stored our luggage for the day, 2 bottles of water plus assorted coffees & teas with coffee machine & hot pot, fridge, Free bottle of dry wine with stemware…luxury treatment. My only worry was that the very, very small elevator could not accommodate us & the amount of luggage, but it was never an issue & actually provided a few laughs. Tables for games & lounge area with same drink choices off check-in. Great WiFi. It was perfect.

- Clayton (10/5): Perfect stay! - Dimitri welcomed me with humor, and sincerity along with professional efficiency. Throughout my stay, whomever was working the front desk was friendly and welcoming, but Dimitri stole the show. Bathroom was top notch, and bed was confy. Sitting met expectations. I was very comfortable in the room. Window faced a courtyard of sorts and had an urban residential vibe. Hotwl is on a main street. Easy to walk to major historical sites. Barber, massage, and grocery store also convenient.
- Soumyaa (2/5): - This property was a terrible choice. I booked this hotel based on Expedia’s 9.4 stars however we had a horrible experience. When we checked in, my credit card company immediately notified me of a fraudulent charge when my card was swiped to pay for city tax. The front desk staff wouldn’t tell us the name of the person working the desk prior or the name of the manager or how to get a hold of management staff. After asking and going back and forth for 30 minutes, he finally gave us a business card which included an email to touchbase with a manager. When we sent an email with proof of fraudulent charges at

- Mojgan (10/5): - The hotel is on a main and busy street, average neighborhood, but conveniently located close to the train/metro station, not too far from Acropolis and other historical sights and the touristy area. The room was beautiful and clean, well equipped, bed was very comfortable, complimentary water and a bottle of white wine for staying 3 nights, the staff very friendly and specially Yanni(John) at the desk who was very helpful and nice. There is a rooftop with chairs and tables accessible to the guests with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. We enjoyed our stay very much at this hotel.
- Cassaundra (10/5): - We weren’t sure of the area upon arrival; however, it turned out to be fine. Graffiti is prevalent in Athens and isn’t indicative of level of safety. The hotel is only a 7-10 minute walk from the Acropolis area and a spiderweb of quaint streets lined with shops and restaurants. In fact, if you consider up to a half hour’s walk as “walking distance,” as we do, you can make it to Syntagma Square (Parliament building and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier); Athens’ central market (fish/meat market); the Olympic stadium (name slips my mind); and the National Gardens. The hotel does not offer laundry service, but there are self-serve laundromats within a 5-7 minute walk. Honestly, walking allows you to see local life and culture (and yummy bakeries and such) best, anyway. The metro station is only a couple of minutes away, though, and there is a 24-hour restaurant about 2 blocks over. Uber services the area, too. The staff is very friendly and helpful (shout out to Kostas!) and the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a nice rooftop patio for guests to share that offers some views of the city. If the spiral marble staircase is too much, there is a small, 2-3 person elevator as well. Our room had a small patio with partial views, and while the chairs were older and mismatched, we honestly didn’t have a lot of time to make use of them anyway. Staff freshened up our room every other day. No breakfast included, but there’s coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

The elevator was tiny and slow. The balcony was large and nice but very noisy. The shower was nice. We have no reason to return to Athens, but if we did, we would not stay at this property.

The bed was comfortable and the room was modern. The amenities on property was limited but there was water and tea available in the lobby area and upstairs on the rooftop. The rooftop was very cute with views of the Parthenon but it's literally there just to hang out. No bar service or food. I would recommend this property.

- Caroline (10/5): - We enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. The room met our expectation and felt it was right for the cost. Our room was clean, spacious and the furniture and fixtures were relatively new. The bed was also comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and friendly! The property in very walkable distance to the Acropolis museum area where there are a bunch of restaurants. There's an incredible view of the Acropolis from the rooftop space - don't miss going up to see it! Some "cons" that didn't bother us much, but may bother others: our room faced the main road and we found it noisy at points during the night. There was no full length mirror in the room. Housekeeping doesn't come by until after your second night stay - we were able to request fresh towels, so not an issue for us at all. Overall, a great stay and I would return here in the future.
