During my stay, I found several cockroaches in the bathroom. I asked for toilet paper, but none was provided for the entire stay. On top of that, I even found a mouse inside the toilet. - Thao (1/5): - Bước vài phòng thật kinh khủng, phòng ẩm thấp, bẩn kinh khủng, toilet bẩn, ga giường bẩn, khá bừa bộn có khoảng 3 người nam đang thuê chung phòng đó đã lâu, mình vừa bước vào phòng sốc ngang với căn phòng tệ như vậy. Lễ tân đưa mình cục xà phòng bẩn bị chuột gặm hết một miếng. Mình trả phòng ngay lập tức không thể ở thêm vài giây nào. Trải nghiệm không thể tệ hơn.

Wytłumaczono nam to, że posiadają ogrzewanie solarne i nie wystarczyło na nagrzanie. - Michael (1/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend - The only somewhat positive aspect was that the location was fairly central. We stayed for two nights at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The room was in poor condition, with a hole in the ceiling that had been poorly patched up with cardboard and tape. The walls were covered in noticeable stains from mold and moisture, which made the space feel uncomfortable and unhygienic. The sheets were dirty, with other people's hair, blood stains, and even feces, which was absolutely unacceptable. Throughout the night, we heard rats running through the ceiling ducts, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom also had issues: the sink was clogged, didn’t drain properly, and made strange noises. To make matters worse, there was reused toilet paper on the roll, which felt unsanitary. The hallway leading to our room was cluttered with trash, and there was no effort to clean or maintain the common areas. Additionally, we were woken up early every morning by loud construction noises starting before 7 AM, which made it impossible to rest. The staff was unfriendly and seemed untrustworthy, and to top it off, we were asked to pay a 200,000 VND deposit for the room key, which felt like an unnecessary charge given the poor state of the hotel. The hotel is located in a dilapidated area, which didn’t feel safe and contributed to our overall unease. On top of that, the hotel offered an overpriced shuttle to the airport for $20-25 USD, when a taxi ride would only cost about $5. Overall, our stay was far below expectations. The lack of cleanliness, the disturbing presence of rats, the noise, and the double-dealing staff all made for a very uncomfortable experience.

Camere fatiscenti, piene di muffa, pareti scrostate, scarafaggi e animali ovunque, biancheria macchiata. Neanche il mio cane portei a dormire li. Mi hanno offerto altre 2 stanze (pagando una differenza pari al doppio) ed era una peggio dell'altra. Uno schifo. Morale? Questi disonesti invece si scusarsi si sono trattenuti il costo di una notte. Pazzesco. E volete sapere il gran finale? 5 giorni dopo saremo tornati ad Ho Chi Minh ed ovviamente abbiamo chiesto a loro ed a booking di cancellare la prenotazione per ovvi motivi senza penali. Booking ha dato look metre questi ladri si sono rifiutati trattenendo una notte anche per questa prenotazione. QUALCUNO LI FERMI.

Còn nguyên cả khăn bẩn ở trong phòng, đến lúc checkout khách sạn đổ tại khách tự tiện lấy(?), trộm khăn(?) và đòi charge thêm tiền. Bảo check camera hộ xem khách lấy lúc nào thì đòi charge tiền thôi chứ không chịu kiểm tra. Giá cả so với vị trí và cơ sở vật chất và thái độ nhân viên thì thực ra mình cũng k biết nó có hợp lý hay không nữa :) bonus thêm là mình chỉ nằm sofa thôi chứ giường với chăn là nhìn thôi chứ không nằm và không đắp luôn

- Sam (1/5): Terrible in almost every way. We left and booked somewhere else with no refund. - The location was okay, the rest was terrible. We had sewage coming through the roof, we have picture evidence of this. Worst place I have ever stayed! The cleanliness and subsequent help was genuinely terrible. When we asked to transfer room they tried to charge more than the rate online. And whilst we were touring the other rooms the staff had to flick away cockroaches. You would have to see to believe it!

Les photos sont mensongère, nous avons dû traverser une cave humide et puante pour rejoindre une chambre digne d'un film d'horreur où la porte ne pouvait même pas se fermer pendant notre absence. C'est littéralement du vol, nous sommes partis et avons demandé à nous faire rembourser mais le voleur qui était à l'accueil ne nous a rien du tout remboursé. Tout, ne vous fiez pas aux photos c'est un mensonge fuyez cet hôtel !

- Simon (10/5): Good value for a hotel with character. - It's always a pleasure to come back to this hotel whenever I'm in Vietnam. It's a quiet neighbourhood at night, even though it's right in the city. No karaoke at 2am. Plenty of food in the streets nearby, and not far from the night life, if that's what you're into. The rooms are comfortable, each room has its own character and theme. This hotel has personality. The hotel can be a little hard for taxi drivers to find, as it's down one of HCMC's many laneways. But if you get the driver to call the hotel, they are happy to give directions.
- Freedom48764028369 (2/5): Experience a living, breathing psycho ward on the cheap! - In a sea of increasingly strange hostel experiences, this one can only be described as a “paid psycho ward.” Abusive, shifty, what appears to be leprosy and outright lying to guests. As has become normal, the property is stalked by an angry, sneering and ridiculously territorial elder cleaning woman. We then get to the kitchen facilities fiasco — which irrespective of what may be defined on any website, is known, as it should, to be used by hungry travelers. It began with two people, including an employee demonstrating the space, followed by you’re not allowed, only for noodles, to…you can’t even use the rice cooker. From no refrigerator available…to spotting a secondary refrigerator with actual guest directions taped on the front!? And all this when I brought/bought produce based on a previous visit’s experience. Sinister. I literally ran for my life at 5:00 pm to escape this weirdo madness, sacrificing my reservation. Would rather sleep on the street than be treated like this. On one hand, what can one expect from a $4/nt place, on the other…visit and you may be scarred for life. Absolutely horrible. 😡 *see “staff only” kitchen pics attached in a nearly empty hotel.

The room was huge itself but was oddly decorated with some Chinese items and empty for the most parts. For a third of price you can have a smaller yet much more decent room. No glass, no chairs, no extra requested towels. Had to ask all for it. The host brought out chairs but they were dirty.

I asked Ms Minh if I could change to a room, perhaps on the first floor, Ms Minh immediately made the change with no problems. On the 3rd evening, I was on my way to my room, Ms Minh invited me to have a meal with her, family, and other guests at the hotel (felt so privileged). Also sent links to the best street eats and restaurants I Ho Chi Min City...! In District 1, not far from everything...! Great location. Nothing

- Cedric (3/5): Worst experience in 8 years - I visit Ho Chi Minh City very often, and I usually don’t book this type of hotel. However, I arrived late, exhausted from traffic jams, and ended up reserving this place almost by chance. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The reception was quite mediocre—they insisted on keeping my passport, even though it’s illegal, and instead demanded a 200,000 VND deposit. The room itself was rather dirty, and the TV didn’t work. The worst part was at checkout. Instead of the staff handling it, regular customers (who were just sitting in the lobby) took over and tried to make me pay again for a water bottle—even after I showed them proof that I had already paid! Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Poor service, questionable practices, and a lack of professionalism make it a place to avoid.

- Simon (10/5): A great hotel with personality. - This hotel has a lot of character. Not your standard 4 walls, a bed, and a toilet... Each room has a unique feel and theme. I have stayed here many times whenever I'm in Saigon, and the staff are always friendly. Lots of good food nearby, and you become part of a neighbourhood here. The hotel can be a little tricky to find, but most drivers don't have a problem. If you ask them to call the hotel for directions, no problem.

A special mention goes to Minh, the wonderful owner who makes the experience even more welcoming. - Alexandre (10/5): Good experience in a calm hostel and its surroundings - It’s located in the city center, 10 minutes away by foot from walking street, and the are is quite calm: little streets with light traffic. There is a cafe just in front, shops and restaurants are very close. The staff are nice and helpful. There is a small kitchen so you can cook your own food too. The rooms are clean and the toilets work perfectly. The quality-price ratio is very good. Definitely I would come back to this hostel if I never come back to Ho Chi Minh
