Guest Reviews
- Emma (8/5): Lovely apartment, very noisy bedroom - The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio. The accommodation is on the 1st floor, so not too many steps to get to, unlike other apartments. The kitchen was small but adequate with plenty of crockery and cutlery and pans etc. there was salt in the cupboard too for cooking. The shower was good pressure and hot too (combi boiler so unlimited hot water). 2 washing tablets were provided for our 3 night stay and the washing machine was a helpful addition. The apartment had an airer to dry the clothes, as well as iron and an ironing board. Overall very well stocked and a large apartment. The bed was very comfortable and was also a large bed. We thought other reviews about the noise were just being sensitive, however the bedroom is very noisy. The glass is very thin and the windows don't really seal. All the noise from the street was amplified around the room. You can hear every word said outside, the street sweepers and bin collections early in the morning etc. it didn't help that there was also renovations to a shop on the street too that started early. We could only sleep with earplugs, and we are not generally noise sensitive sleepers.
- Floris (6/5): Great location, but quite noisy, so decent stay for non fussy travelers. - Incredible location, nice and spacious apartment with most things you need for a self catering stay. The apartment description on booking is an accurate reflection.
We overall enjoyed our stay and loved being walking distance from everything that we wanted to see and do in Florence. If you are not a fussy traveler, this place will do. The room is unfortunately super noisy. Reading through other reviews with similar comments I assumed it was because many guests were light sleepers, but now I can confirm, it is a real challenge. This is an old apartment in the historic center, so the noise insulation is poor. On top of that, the bedroom faces the road with windows that do not properly close/seal. So you can hear what is happening outside as if you are standing on the street. Every conversation can be followed word for word. And since the location is so central, there is just lots of noise throughout the entire evening. We were able to solve this with proper earplugs, so ensure you pack some.
The apartment was also not super clean, e.g., the coach had some mystery stains on them.
- Maria Irma (4/5): Soggiorno deludente - Posizione comodissima, vicino a Palazzo Pitti.
- Janet (6/5): Convenient location, with adequate facilities but noisy. - It was very near Palazzo Pitti, and Ponte Vecchio. It was easy to walk almost everywhere within 30 minutes at most. The apartment needed refreshing and it was very noisy at night, with traffic and people.

Fazíamos tudo a pé. A criança dormiu no sofá Muito barulho..

- Kathryn (8/5): Had a good short stay and the location was great, right by the Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio. - Location was great and no breakfast provided. They did provide a bottle of wine! It was called ground floor, but it had 14 steps to get into apartment.
- Helen (7/5): started badly took time to settle we were unfortunately tired and soaked to skin!! - location the stove top worked intermittently!
property approved early entry after our train arrival.
then found outside ourselves standing outside property in rain on phone to them to be told we could not enter for another hour!!!
- Matthew (2/5): Do not stay here if you want to sleep. - The bed was relatively comfy and there was a lot of space. the wine was a nice touch. The windows and walls are paper thin. Every car that drives by felt like it rattled the entire building, and vibrates the windows so loudly that I honestly think it may have been quieter if I slept outside. I could hear people talking down on the street as if they were standing right beside me. every car that drives by (even on different blocks), every door that slams, every drunken tourist yelling, even normal conversations form outside or form other rooms can be heard with perfect clarity. When someone walked up the stairs, it sounded as if they were walking directly into my room. I did not sleep at all the first night because of how noisy this place is. The 2nd and third nights I was able to sleep a little bit due to NyQuil and earplugs.
- Gilles (9/5): Superb -
- Jodi (8/5): Loved it! - The apartment was easy to access, in a fantastic location. The bed was super comfy and the place was clean. I would 100% stay here again. Plus you get wine! The kitchen is tiny and the place smaller than it looks on pictures. I get why people comment on the noise, the street outside is really busy and noise travels. We were woken up a few times by people making noise on the street, but then these are old buildings with no double glazing. The window also didn't lock in the bedroom, which didn't help keep noise out.
They also have a note saying you will find a mop if the bathroom floor gets wet. We looked, the mop won that game of hide and seek!
- Mikaberidze (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Kieren (7/5): Nice apartment in the centre with good facilities - The location was great; only a few minutes to the centre. It was super easy to nip back during the day. There was a kitchen, and although very small, suited our needs. The bedroom was big and the living area was comfy. There was even a welcome gift (bottle of wine) when we arrived. There was a separate heating and air con unit which made adjusting the temperature easy. As this property is in the centre, facing a busy street and above a bar, it is very noisy. The music on Saturday night sometimes made it difficult to have a conversation. We also got woken up several times during the night with shouting, mopeds passing by or workers in the area. The thermostat on the oven has failed which causes everything to burn and also, if using too hob rings at once, the electric trips. Whilst there is a decent washing machine, there is no tumble dryer, only a very small airer, so we had to use the local launderette.
- Ana (8/5): Very good -
- Lea (7/5): Good - The kitchen was nice, they provided laundry detergent and the bed was comfortable. There was only one roll of toilet paper. The gray cushions on the bed clearly hadn't been washed. Although we asked for the sofa bed to be prepared for us, it wasn't and we had to share a bed.
- Zachary (10/5): - We loved this location, it was right next to museums and some great pizza and coffee. The space was easy to access and in a perfect walkable location.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and very helpful host providing information prior to arrival along with a complementary bottle of wine 🍷😄 Nothing!
- Francesco (8/5): Very good -
- Brycchan (6/5): Budget apartment in a great neighbourhood - This budget apartment is in a great neighbourhood, but has a few problems that the owners need to sort out. On the positive side, the location is fantastic - right opposite the Pitti Palace and just 5 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. The apartment has a living room, bedroom, and tiny kitchen. The bed is comfortable, the rooms reasonably clean, the air conditioning is excellent, and there is fast wifi. The negatives begin with the owners charging an additional €60 for cleaning on top of the rental. This means that, although the apartment may initially look cheaper than others that do not charge seperately for cleaning, it may in fact be more expensive - so do check carefully before booking. The poor quality of the plumbing and electical wiring is also an issue. There was a strong smell of damp from under the sink, probably because of a leaking pipe, the shower doesn't drain properly because of a blocked pipe, and the badly installed shower means you can only stand under it if you are 5'8" (1.7 m) or shorter. The main light in the bedroom failed on the day that we arrived and, because it is wired into the lighting circuit, the washing machine trips the circuit breaker when you turn it on, plunging the apartment into darkness. On balance, the location and space makes this a reasonable choice if you don't mind the damp smell and don't plan to wash any clothes, but if you are looking for something a bit more upscale, this may not be the place for you.
- Gerry (8/5): Nice little Airbnb style accommodation next to the new palace - amazing location near piazza pitti and 5mins to the river. the rooms were spacious for 3 people. checkin and entry was very easy the sofa bed was awful to sleep in. not comfortable at all.
cleaner let himself in the property on day one without asking while we were there.
I dropped a Jabra earbud in the room and they located it but refused to help mail it me.
- Lorry (7/5): Not for everyone - Great location for Boboli Gardens, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and the David.
The bed was comfortable and the apt was spacious enough with light. The restaurant/bar was right below bedroom and kitchen windows and played music morning until late at night. They sat people in the window well of the bathroom/kitchen so you could hear them from anywhere in the apt. The window panes were extremely thin and did not keep noise out.
When we arrived the electricity was flipped off due to a short in the stove so we couldnt enter the apartment via the code box. The stove could not be fixed during our stay which made cooking difficult. The staff responded well, but the result was a less than ideal stay for us, unfortunately.
Finally, we use booking.com to give us easy and seamless rentals. However Wine Apartments required further online check-in, signing a contract, etc which we have never had to do before when booking an apt.. It was a lot of extra time and stress.
- Zuzana (8/5): Very good - very good location, next to Palazzo Pitti
