Yes, breakfast is quite basic but there’s enough there and at the price we paid, who cares! Good staff who served us beers in the spacious lobby as we arrived early. A short walk to the main square. All in all - excellent and totally recommended.

The beds and rooms and extremely clean and house keeping do a fantastic job. It was very comfortable. The spa you can use for an hour a day and it's great. The restaurant has food until late and a terrace at the back and the options are very reasonable and tasty. I only leave 4* as I am a Meliá Rewards member and was given the smallest room possible and told we don't do upgrades for Meliá Rewards guests and was told management would reach out to me 3 times and didn't - the staff seem great but unfortunately management don't take their job very seriously or care about guests
- Kevin (8/5): Quick city trip - Could have done with a coffee machine or kettle. Shampoo and shower gel were watery to say the least. Not very luxurious. Bedding was only a sheet and very hard pillows. Positives - near to town, good views and air con.

She was always very gracious and helpful during our stay Our room was very large and had a great view of the mountains from the 9th floor. I believe there are only 2 rooms on the top floor, so it was perfectly quiet. The complimentary spa facilities were lovely The hotel is conveniently located, it’s a pleasant walk to Skanderbeg Square as well as many restaurants. I would definitely stay there again

- Verified traveler (6/5): Meh 4-Star Hotel - Overall, it is not a bad hotel. The location is good, with about a 10-15 minute walk to the main square. There were no issues with cleanliness either. However, since this is a 4 star hotel, there are some things that I feel should be addressed for this hotel to reach a higher standard. 1.) The TV was unplugged when I arrived, and it was nearly impossible to plug it in. I've never stayed at a 4 star hotel that didn't have the TV plugged in. Not to mention that the remote worked horribly and the sensor would only worked if it was directly pointed at a tiny little spot somewhere on the TV. There was also no over the air channels, just a smart TV platform to use apps. I was able to download this "HDTV" app that had live TV channels from all over the world (including many from the US that are normally pay channels lol...felt kinda sketchy) but it should not be this complicated to use a TV. 2.) The hair dryer didn't work at all. The cord was stuck into the wall, so I'm not sure where it was getting power from, if any at all. 3.) I didn't find the service to be very friendly. I felt that it might be because the staff I interacted with was all male and because I am a solo female traveler with a backpack, I was perceived differently than other guests. 4.) The silver thing with the restaurant menu QR code didn't work to scan, so this should be fixed. Basically, I would be fine with some of this if it was a lower star hotel, but for a four star hotel, these should be improved.
- T9309YBkristenw (6/5): Average, disappointing experience returning lost property - The hotel itself was fine - a short walk into the centre of the city and a comfortable room. The only thing we'd point out is the relatively basic breakfast, lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room and lack of pool. However there is a small spa that you can reserve a slot in (which is nice so it's not busy when you go). The staff weren't overly friendly, but housekeeping were thorough. Unfortunately I lost a bracelet when I was there, and I only realised as we were in the taxi to the airport. I messaged the hotel who replied promptly to confirm they had found it in their spa. I replied to thank them and ask if we could arrange for it to be posted to me (I would pay) but didn't hear back. I messaged three more times, and my husband emailed twice and we haven't had a response. The bracelet was a wedding gift from my best friend so I'm sad to have had to part with it, and disappointed that the hotel weren't able to respond to my messages to help get it back to me.

Each room has individually controlled air conditioning, which is very beneficial in the hot summer months. Hotel guests have daily access to the spa (time slots booked in advance), which has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi free of charge. Staff were helpful, and the hotel offers airport transfers etc. The only minor issue is the location - the 1km walk to Skanderbeg Square is perfectly reasonable, however a large majority of restaurants and cafes are located in the Blloku district, which is a further 1.5km away (30+ minute walk).

Reported to staff, but nothing was done to improve . We only ate the other items at breakfast, bit disappointing for a 4 star hotel, could of been much better!!

- kimwillrule (4/5): Not synonymous with Melia - Dear Juxhin and Mr. Gerondeau, It Is with utter disappointment that I am writing to you. My son and I have been travelling extensively through Turkey, Montenegro, Croatia, Albania and Macedonia for weeks and was looking forward to a Melia hotel name for some comfort. We briefly checked into Mercure Tirena prior to a forward journey to the coast, then returned. We found your level of service shockingly unacceptable and Mercure, surprisingly stacked up rungs higher. It's day 4 of our stay before we travel to Istanbul tomorrow. For 4 days, our TV reception was patchy. Screen froze after a few minutes. This applies to every channel. I reported this to your reception every day and nothing was done. Worse of all, she tried to explain that no one watches TV in your hotel. They keep it on for the white noise. I tried to reach you for 2 days. I even stood in front of the receptionist whilst she texted you. You weren’t onsite for the first day. On the second day, you allegedly responded that you are busy with other guests. I waited for you. Even provided my Whatsapp number for you to reach me. But there was no response from you, whatsoever. I also proposed to meet you at 4:30 back at the hotel, but your stint ends at 4 PM, as your receptionist claimed. I am not yearning to watch cable movies. I am keeping an eye on the missiles exchange between Israel and Iran – on BBC, CNN or Euro News, with grave concern. The developments have personal impact. All channels were frozen. A freelance tech guy was despatched today at 4:30 PM. He ranted that some of the TV receptions in your hotel are out for some of the guests. He reported it to your staff, but no action was taken. This is due to your beacon issue. He was just as frustrated with your staff. Whilst I can contend with smaller issues - like the backward touches of the lack of key card security in lifts, old school toiletries in small bottles versus dispensers, lack of coffee or tea making facilities in the room; I find the lack of TV reception, the ridiculous reasons provided, the lack of action and your constant dodging of a conversation for solutions unacceptable. Especially if it’s affiliated to Melia, a Spanish brand we associate with high level of service, design and ambience. I will insert this review on Google Review as a forewarning for others and hopefully urge you to finally get off your high horse and sort out the TV reception once and for all. On a positive note – your housekeeping (Ongin – we may have her name wrong) and Briselda, the Spa Manager with her sunny disposition the only silver linings of our stay there.
- MARK100Herts (10/5): Lovely, clean and tidy hotel. - Clean, tidy and well kept hotel. The staff were very nice, attentive and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for any more. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. Just a 10 min walk to Skanderbeg Square. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, a short walk away. We hope to visit Albania again. The best thing we can say is we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Breakfast was tasty but small things need to be improved: hot items get cold fast as they don’t use warmers, coffee and juice machines spills as the glasses and cups are about 1" too small so it spills and people are constantly looking for a rack to wipe it off. - TheReids (10/5): Excellence - We had only one night here in a Premium Room with Balcony but we would have enjoyed more nights there. It was so inspiring to stay in a brand new hotel so exquisitely designed in the center of such an old city. The staff is all professional and warm, the meals were terrific (we enjoyed dinner as much as the generous array at breakfast).

The spa was also amazing and the rooms where exceptional. The only thing I would say is more of an option for the breakfast buffet would be nice but there is a lot of nice cafes around.
- Ngozi (10/5): - Lovely hotel. My 9 year old said it should be a 5starhotel and not 4 star. We had a jacuzzi in our suite and she spent most of her time there. I enjoyed the massage session and also my time at the spa. The dinner ( half board option) was the only downside as there wasnt much to eat. it was either fiah , soup and salad or chicken, soup and salad. Breakfast was basic but nice too. Walking distance to Toptani mall and access to town center.

There's no coffee machine and I couldn't sleep because of road traffic noise (2nd floor). I asked to move, but the new room was just as bad for road noise. I ended up moving to a different hotel for the final night. Polite staff though. I also didn't think the location was that great. A fair walk to some of the main attractions
- Harmony (10/5): - Had a pleasant 2 night stay -clean, good location and comfortable. At first, we were a little upset with a few mistakes made by the hotel. One being the hotel didn’t respond to our enquiry a month beforehand but, the reception lady was kind enough to offer us a free upgrade to one of their best rooms which made up for it. Hotel is Within close proximity to local shop and pharmacy and city centre. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly. Also, they iron for you and guests gets a free 1 hour use of most spa facilities which is a nice bonus. Only thing is, no 24hr room service which isn’t too much of a problem but, something to bear in mind. Would definitely stay here again especially with how nice the hotel was infused with a memorable lively scent all around the building.
- Jillrowlands (10/5): Amazing hotel - Amazing hotel! This was our first visit to Albania and we stayed at this hotel and would highly recommend to anyone. The 1 hour free per each day of your stay to the spa was incredible (be better if the salt room was included). We were in walking distance to the square and everything. We stayed as bed and breakfast and was a wonderful choice to eat for breakfast. The hotel and rooms were immaculate! The smell was amazing all the time at the hotel (please tell the name of the air freshener I need it lol) Only feedback I can give is everything about this hotel is 5 star but you could improve quality of the toilet roll lol. Staff are amazing and should be proud of how they make this hotel run daily.

The emotional shower did not make me cry but I was happy it was there.. hot tub and facilities were excellent. I was pleased with the appearance of the room and the amenities in the room. The room was very comfortable and we were warm in the depth winter. I'm telling lettuce check in 2 hours early and we're very accommodating and professional. I was pleased with every aspect of the hotel. Breakfast was ordinary yet quite acceptable.

Helpful, curtious, great english, and a fantastic ambassador for the brand. She knew her job and the hotel and made us feel "at home". Matius, young new waiter also went above and beyond. 2 great employees that stand out. We have been in the cruise industry for years and could definitely see them as "staff to be noted" and rewarded it should be noted that the restaurant staff is very professional. ....the facility on the other hand was not up to par. SHOWER WATER WAS SCALDING TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS DANGEROUS TO SHOWER AND I DIDNT . Called twice. Never fixed but told it was in order.... Found out that facility was on holiday for a week so whoever the replacement was did nothing. .. a dangerous situation... Restaurant had really nice evening menu and tasty breakfast. could have had 2 coffee makers so that people didn t have to wait. A nice stay in a pleasant area very close to the main boulevard/sites and walking distance..

- Richard (10/5): Give Tirana a try it’s FAB!!!!! - Did a flying 24 hour visit to Albania and lucked out with this hotel. Wonderful . Room was fabulous with THE most amazing bathroom and bed. The location is ideal to walk to all the city attractions in Tirana and I especially liked the bar next door with a balcony just designed for people watching over a beer . £1 a pint too. Bargain! I LOVED Tirana and I loved this hotel. Felt like 5 star luxury and all for £54 for the night. Got a taxi from the airport and the driver knew exactly where to go. As an aside, if you visit Tirane you MUST visit Mount Djati , vocable car ride to the top , free mini golf , shoot rifles and paintball guns , and eat in the most spectacular restaurant at bargain prices . Do it. Book now it’s fab . And the people are SOOOOOOO friendly .

Wij konden gratis gebruik maken van de welness, ook deze was goed verzorgd. De prijzen van de massages waren wel wat duur, en voor de salt room moet je ook bijbetalen. De locatie was niet echt top. Drukke omgeving. Er is een parkeerservice van het hotel, deze wordt door de security in een ondergrondse parking van het hotel geparkeerd. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is zeer goed!
